BRAKE MASTER MADE ME PAY OVER $2,000 FOR THEM FIX SOMETHING THAT THEY BROKE!!! Brake Masters refuses to fix their mistakes, and will charge you twice to fix something they broke!! Their customer service will ignore you for days, weeks, and do everything they can to avoid paying for damages they caused.. I've actually gotten very good repair services, and they have some great mechanics, but the mid-level management is disgraceful.. Their answering machine tells you not to call them more than once, but yet I've been waiting for over a week just for a phone call, and STILL NO CALL.. They did a $1500 cam related repair less than 3,000 miles ago, then I started having problems..A Honda dealership tech directly pointed out and blamed incorrect procedure for creating a failure which resulted in me having to purchase a new VTC actuator for over $400 and then a new camshaft timing chain guides, tensioner, and camshaft. Honda said it was over 3,500 worth of damage. The best offer that Brake Master offered was to "only" charge me $750 labor to install the $1,500 worth of parts that I had to buy from the dealership and AutoZone. I've been very reasonable and willing to meet them in the middle a little bit on this even though it's 100% their fault, just because I've had so much work done by them that I feel a sort of friendship with them. But the corporate management needs to be terminated because their district manager is one of the most unprofessional people that I've ever encountered in the car business. I drive a 1990s Volvo and was passing through Las Vegas on a road trip when my alternator belt broke. I initially had the car towed to a shop that specializes in European vehicles. Because the alternator and drive belts on my Volvo are easily accessible, I knew this was a straightforward repair that should take well under an hour. Even so, I was initially quoted nearly $700, largely due to labor charges. After questioning the estimate, it was reduced to about $500, but I ultimately decided not to proceed because of the repair timeline. What an exceptional experience. I had a terrible experience at a chain auto shop, right down the road where I was quoted $780 for rear brakes alone, plus a $100 "shop" fee (for their and I quote "rags and stuff") and a $30 credit card fee. I was shocked. So I left, and... THEN I find this place; Ernesto was so nice, professional, and knowledgeable. They got my rear brakes done for less than half the price and no ridiculous shop fees or credit card fees. Overall experience was absolutely perfect. John called me the next day to thank me for coming and make sure everything was working well so far. I mean just overall, above and beyond. If you're shopping around for places, your search is over. For the love of god if you need anything but breaks do NOT go here. I had to start a BBB complaint and it took months to get my $1700 bucks back from them. My boyfriends car had a check engine light come on, auto zone said it was the catalytic converter, I took it here and they said they would do their own test, and they told me it was some kind of part (this was awhile ago, and I am not good with cars LOL.) Anyways- it ended up costing me around 1700 for labor and the new part, during them fixing it they called me and said good news that the part actually did not need to be replaced they could just clean the part and put it back, and it would save me some money. When I got there it literally was MAYBE 15/20 dollars cheaper which did not make any sense to me. So I asked to speak to a manger but nobody was there, I paid it and we left and I planned on bringing it up another day. They did NOT tell us we had to drive the car around 100 miles before taking it to smog, so we took it and it failed, and we called them they said that, and we did it again and we passed. THE NEXT DAY the check engine light comes back on. They tell us that its something completely unrelated to the part they fixed and that "hey at least you don't have to worry about it till next year when you have to do smog again." I then got the bill and they CHARGED ME FOR THE NEW PART, even though it was NOT A NEW PART, it was my old part. They kept denying this claim but after reopening the claim 4 times they ruled in my favor and I got my money back. Thanks for nothing! read more

So I'm a workaholic and notorious for always being overdue on my oil changes and I always worry that men will treat me like I'm stupid and try to empty my wallet but this location surprised me as it was not only affordable but they were fully honest and totally trustworthy! Worst oil change experience I've ever had. We were quoted a wait time of just over an hour because we didn't have an appointment, fair enough, we walked around the park and got food. After an hour and a half we went over and they didn't have the oil filter we needed in stock. So we waited and waited, finally they were done after over 2 hours. When I asked the lady if there was anything she could do for us for TWO HOURS of waiting, she said nope, we didn't have an appointment and they don't carry any of those filters anyway. But when I asked her why she didn't mention that she said they didn't know if they had it in stock until they ran the car. So how could you quote us a time then if you didn't know?? We were planning to make this our new spot for the price and proximity, but never going back. read more

Put two new rotors on front and resurfaced the back with all new brakes pads And offered to push out old brake fluid and put new one in. Manger kept us up to date as best he could when we had couple bumps in the road for ordering parts and wrong parts kept be given to the shop " not the shops fault " I'll come back again It's hard to find trusting mechanic shops these days ...... Best mechanic experience in my life. First off, I was able to schedule an online appointment and get in the next day. I brought my car in because it shakes when I brake. After one hour of dropping it off on a Saturday, I got a text message explaining the issue with an an invoice and the ability to accept/deny service. I love that! Seamless, no room for miscommunication or confusion. If you want to call and talk to them about it, they give you the option of course, but the ability to just accept and go on was really convenient for me. About three hours later, they called to tell me it's ready for pick up. The problem with my car has been going on for about 5 or 6 months. I took it to a competitor when the problem first started and they quoted $2k to fix the issue and tried to get me to finance it. I didn't want to deal with it at that time and let it sit. I expected the cost to be higher now because I ran it with the issue for so long. BM charged me $500. I couldn't believe it! I had a bad feeling about the other guys, but I was shocked by the difference in price. $500 and the problem is completely solved. Great price, fast, seamless communication. Called a week ago and asked what an estimate would be to replace our break pads and rotors for our make and model and were quoted around $200. They did not give an estimate range, just "around $200." We decided to schedule an appointment for 9:00am a week later. We heard nothing all day so reached out to them via phone around 3:00pm, the man on the phone was very difficult to communicate with, but he eventually said it wasn't done and they'd call back. They close at 5:30pm so my husband went around 5:15 to try and pick it up, only to see the car still on the lift. He didn't leave there until 6:24pm and the final charge was almost $600. They either completely forgot our car was even there, or they clearly don't care about their customers time. Possibly both. We will not be returning for future services and recommend to seek brake repairs elsewhere. read more

absolutely unprofessional. I made an appointment for 2:00pm. I showed up at 1:50 and was first told to wait for 30mins because they were behind. 30 mins turned into 1 hour, then that 1 hour became 2. For a 2pm appointment I didn't leave until 4pm. Never coming here again. If you need an oil change go to an oil change place. The workers seemed annoyed that I was upset because they delayed my day by 2 hours. Not to mention I missed my orthodontist appointment was charged a $100 dollar last minute rescheduling fee by my orthodontist office and brake masters could care less. Never coming again. read more

Brake Masters took great care of me from the minute I called the to minute I picked my car back up. I dropped off my car early in the morning after calling and discussing my cars issues. The gentleman helping me told me that he would call me after running a full diagnostic. I got that call around 11:30 am and was told that I only needed front breaks and that I would need a full set the next time that I come in. I appreciated that bit of knowledge and that he wasn't trying to sell me on something that I didn't need. 4:00 pm rolls around and My car was ready for me when I got there. I go inside to pay and am told that my breaks are now warrantied so as long as I own my car, breaks are covered. Who doesn't love that?! We came back to this one after our other guy left a different location. Tony the manager took great care of us! We took car for oil change two weeks ago and today was called after lunch and ask could they get me in for an oil change. Tony said come on down. When I got there I explained I was overdue for an oil change and filter but I also needed belts checked as one has been squealing on and off. I also asked for brakes to be checked. They got me in right away and finished in a timely manner. He said the belt was dry but not cracked so not necessary to change yet and brakes have 70% left on front and 50% left in back so we're good there as well. I've been going to Brakes Masters for years and years because of their honesty. I appreciate them and their work 2/11/2019 Tony and his have never disappointed us. They take such great care of our 2008 Nissan Titan and 2004 Hyundai Elantra! Obviously our vehicles are old so we need a little more work these days but Tony and his crew have made it painless and easy. They go ABOVE & BEYOND, always. We'll keep recommending for as long as they are this honest and capable. To find a shop that knows what they're doing is not easy but to find one that's honest?! They do honest good work. Not a great experience . I stopped in to ask for the price for an oil change and if they had availability to do it it right now. HE told me the price and said we got time.. I assumed from that someone was available to do it right then. I filled out the paperwork and gave him my keys. I sat in the waiting area which was comfortable and had fee water. Nice since its very hot. I sat there for over a half hour and they never even got to my car. What made it worse was they had some movie playing that was very vulgar. I heard hte "f" word more than 10 times. I could not sit there any longer. I got my keys back and left. I went down the street to valvoline , had my oil change done , fuel treatment addedd, got a half price car wash at the terribles next door , in the same amount of time I sat waiting for them to even get to my car. (Drop off 30 minutes before closing) And by 10:30 am the next morning my vehicle was ready with new rotors and brake pads. Life time warranty on pads. Great price and super service. I went in for an oil change and while there thought I'd get my a/c checked, it was running, just not very cold. Left my car, a 2015 Kia Optima, got a call that my a/c compressor went out and my total job would be $1600+. Service was done but now a/c didn't work at all. Was told I needed to take it to Kia dealer to have command signal ecu reset. Called 2 Kia Dealerships to schedule appt. Spoke to 3 diff service techs, none knew what I was talking about, said there is no ecu on the car and it is not computer controlled, there is nothing to reset. So I had to get a diagnostic done to find out why it's not working & what was now needed so I scheduled an appt. 3 weeks later, I get to dealer and was told the compressor was not the problem originally, if the a/c was simply not blowing cold the problem would have been more likely a discharge line and that the work done by Brake Masters was with an aftermarket part that when it was installed the tech bent tabs causing a short thus NOT WORKING. Kia replaced the aftermarket compressor and a/c now works optimally, $1000 later. Took Kia receipt to Brake Masters for a refund of the $1600 for work that wasn't needed to begin with and poorly installing what was done, to which I was shot down citing Kia replaced what they installed and charged me $1k to do it , implying that Kia is who took advantage of me. Well Kia had to replace what BM installed because it didn't work the installation cause a short. The manager Josh, who has always been very nice, agreed to forward the issue to Corporate, citing it will take "months" and they will more than likely want to inspect the vehicle. NO PROBLEM! And I will be filing action in small claims court. Oh I failed to mention I am female. I'm so sick of these palaces taking advantage of people, especially single women as targets. read more

okay firstly I've been to this place numerous times, their generally good at what they do. but the issue is you can LITERALLY arrive as the VERY first customer, they open at 7:30 I arrived at 7:45...as expected I'm the only car in the parking lot. in fact and you will still be expected to wait 2 hours while the mechanics stand around twiddling their fingers. in 2 hours I've heard about 8 bangs bangs meaning their actual working on something. their definitely not doing oil changes im the only car here.... regardless, how can you claim to be open when the first customer to arrive has a 2 hour plus wait time...and they estimated a few minutes this location is a joke I couldn't imagine coming in with actual customers in front of you...it would be next week until they start working on the car. Won't be returning here. To arrive Soo early and not be serviced, not even pull my car inside of an empty lot their are no cars occupying the spaces or anything just lazines. read more

Talk to Rich scheduled me for Monday morning got me right in first did a full brake inspection of all four wheels. Front brakes and rotors needed replacement gave me an estimate 90 minutes later done! The mechanic did a great job on my trucks front brakes. Very knowledgeable courteous staff. Rich and his team did an amazing job with my 15 Rogue I had a clicking noise coming from my driver side and was told at another repair shop that it was both my axels. Let it go a few months and the Boise got worse. My car needed an oil change so I took it here and explained to Rich what the problem was. After a few hours he called me and told me my axels were fine and it was actually the wheel bearing. I appreciate the fact they took the time to really look and not try to sell me on something my car didn't need. I had visited this location in the past but wasn't necessary thrilled with the operation as the office smelled horrendously...cigarette smoke so thick I couldn't get it off my clothes. Not sure what has changed but to my surprise everything was clean and tidy, where sitting inside waiting on service was no longer a miserable experience. Not sure what Tommy's role is, but he's a valuable addition to the Brake Master team. I had a warranty issues that I was kind of hesitant as to what kind of resolution I'd receive but to my surprise he took full responsibility and ensured me the problem would be handled. And it was, he made it his mission to work around my schedule letting me bring the car in late in the day.
