These guys are awesome! We purchased a used 2010 Outlander in 2017. The day we test drove the car it had a slight shake in the interior floor board. We went to Big Bear on the 24th of December. The conditions dried out the CV boot. The shaking was bad and a slight noise when we turned. Brakemasters really took care of us. Great price and guaranteed work on both CV axel and sway bars. I have been going to this location pretty much since they opened. For years, they were the only place I'd take my car, which has now bloomed to 4 cars. I've noticed the last few years that it seems things have been going downhill. It's uncomfortable to talk to the employees and they seem more interested in being superior than in actual customer service. Here's the short version of what finally changed my mind about every going there again, warranty or not: A few days before Christmas I get a quote for $450 for issues with the back brakes and a leak. They don't have the parts and it's the end of the day, so I decide to take it back after Christmas. The company sends out a coupon via email for $100 off any $400 purchase, so I send my son in since it's his car. They guy says he won't take the coupon, because he interprets "prices vary by location" as meaning it doesn't cover brake services. Then gives him a different quote for a totally different problem with the front brakes. By then, I've already called the Riverside location to see if they'll take the coupon and can look at the car instead. They said the guy at Redlands is totally wrong and to bring it in. I called the guy back in Redlands and told him not to do any work, that I would pick the car up and take it to Riverside instead. Suddenly he has changed his mind and said that the coupon is valid for brake work, but he can't take it because the front brakes are under warranty, so the coupon is no longer valid. And now he's upset I want to pick up the car. Okay, so this guy as told me at this point: - There is a problem with the back brakes - There is no problem with anything but the rotors, but I can't take your coupon - There is a problem with both the pads and the rotors, so it's warranty work and I can't take your coupon When I arrive at the Riverside location with the car, turns out the Redlands guy has called ahead to bad mouth me to that location! Luckily, I had all the print outs of his quotes and the coupon. The Riverside location assured me the guy was nuts, did work on some of what he'd said and some things he'd missed for less than it would have cost for one of the other guy's "quotes." This answered an important question for me, though. Whether the change is due to stupidity, laziness, or sleaziness, this is no longer the place to take your car in Redlands. Don't get your warranty locked in with them. Go somewhere else. read more

Omar the manager gave me a call yesterday to inform me that if I was not happy with the alignment that he would refund my money. I went in today to get the refund and will take the truck to the Chevy dealer for an alignment this Friday .Omar was nice and polite and so was Johnny, I wish I had a better outcome with the work. I think they need to check into the technicians that are doing the work or maybe the machine if is off. Omar said they do multiple alignments a day and have no problems, but with mine something went wrong. read more

came in to get my drums replaced breaks replaced shoing replaced by Omar and his team. then later my alternator was acting up on top of that my pulley was cracked and getting a new one as well. didn't have money to put down which sucked.they have two different payment plans which is great cause they accepted me and now doing monthly payments . I have given up on coming to Brake Masters. They are shady in every location. I came to check my brakes here. They complain that I needed to do the brakes that day with them. This location also is trying to do shady stuff where I only need to replace the rear and they quote me to replace front too...After I left, my back wheels are making loud noise when I drive over 40 mph. I have lifetime brakes with them but will NEVER go to them ever again. So sad, they find ways to take advantage and once they cant get the business they do some shady stuff to my wheels....now I have to get the wheels checked...I know I can't prove anything....BAD business. Great work done. Originally came to get an alignment done and to check my brakes. Turned out after a FREE check up on my brakes, they informed me I needed my brakes done as well. Did the job in about 3 hours. Only problems were that it's a bit on the $$$ side for this type of service and they didn't let me know when the car was finished til after I called them. UPDATED 11-1-17 Johnny ROCKS! I brought my truck in for our regular synthetic oil change. Thank God the staff at Brake Masters found that my OEM radiator was massively leaking around the seal and also water pump leaking. They took care of fixing the issues and in time for me to leave within a few hours. He also covered the water pump parts that had been warranted from 5 years ago when it was last replaced. We are incredibly grateful that Johnny was so kind to warrant the parts and reduced even more the already discounted the prices. 6-16-2016 I have been going this Brake Masters location since they opened and can say they have done a fab job of taking care of our family. Sam and Dennis were amazing people. If there were any problems with our cars, they were quick to help fix it right. There were a few occasions where I had some issues where they couldn't identify what was wrong. The staff must have spent 5 or more road tests without charging us to determine the problems were coming from different parts of the car. They have inspected our cars before going on long road trips without charging us. They spent an hour or so clearing up a windshield washer hose line and not charge us. When I offered to pay, they said they weren't too busy and to not worry about it. I don't know any other place that would have been so generous with their time. There were a few manager who rotated in a few years ago who needed some lessons in proper customer service etiquette. However, we knew that they meant well. Recently Kenny came on as their new manager. He is doing his best to clean up some of the ill spills that occurred in the past. We have been very pleased with all the services performed on our vehicles while on his watch. Their prices have remained very competitive and in fact overall less than most places in town. In fact, Kenny helped us with a situation where he didn't charge us labor to replace a part we had installed on our van while we were out of town. We will continue to come to Brake Masters knowing that they are taking good care of our cars. read more

Honestly, I'm extremely disappointed with their service. I went in to change my brakes and believed them when they said my brakes wouldn't make anymore noise after a while. 2 weeks later it still makes noise. I spent more money than i would have if i went to a lexus dealer on my car. I now have to pay $400 to fix what they broke, at the lexus. I didn't care if i found a good local place to change my brakes even if i would actually spend way more money than if I went to lexus in the first place, I prefer helping local businesses, but they completely jipped me. The sales person there by the name of Luis was extremely helpful, kind and took the time to explain the necessary work that needed to be done on my vehicle. I had gone in to get my back brakes done, and he immediately assured me that they'd complete the repair in a timely manner. Redlands location - Don't go here especially if you are a female. Red Flag - I was told my Honda needed front pads, back brakes. rotors were bad and extra work (bushings) to the tune of $800+ !!! I picked up my car and took it to Reid's in Redlands and they checked both brakes, bushings, etc. It needed a bit of work on front brakes only for $315. Beware !!! read more

He gave me a few courtesy calls while my car was in the shop getting fixed for brake pads, and he didn't pull any punches- but never once did I feel he was stringing me along and telling me to pay more than was necessary. My brakes were grinding badly yesterday, so I took my Jeep in to get fixed up. Oscar and Alex were great! The work needed was a lot more than I had anticipated (cracked drum) and I had no idea how I was going to pay. They helped me get set up with a payment plan, and did whatever they could to help lower the cost. I was there for quite a few hours while the Jeep was being worked on, and the guys kept me pretty entertained. Oscar even lent me his phone charger because my phone was dying and he knew I was worried about my kids (new schools in a new place). I ended up getting a call about a family emergency, and the guys told me to just go, and we'd finish the paperwork later. They even called me today to check that we were okay!
