I had a problem with my brakes and I only needed brake pads and a caliper bolt (diagnosed at another certified shop). I had herd that they give a warranty for their brakes so i decided to go with brakemasters instead which turned out to be a complete mistake. Awesome and Friendly Place. The gentleman Louis helped out my friend a few days ago. Her car tire blew out out of no where and unfortunately she did not have all the proper tools to change it. She was literally down the street from them and they were able to help her out at no cost. I tried offering them food, drinks and a cash tip, but they humbly declined. I would give under one star if possible. I went in to Brake Masters to get new brakes put on, normally my Husband would do this but he is out of town on business and they began to squeak. I may be a girl and not know how to change them myself but I am not clueless. I walked in and they said they could not give me pricing until after actually looking to see how bad my brakes were. Should have been a red flag I just wanted to know the price of brake pads. He came back 5 minutes later saying I needed new front and rear brake pads along with "sanding out" some grooves my current brake pads had made to my rotars. He wanted to charge me $220 PER SET OF BRAKES! So a grand total of $450 for new brakes. I immediately told him no thank you and to please give me back my car. I went to auto zone bought the parts and replaced both sets of brakes for under $50. Unless you want to get robbed I would not suggest this place. read more

Went in to get brakes and oil change done. They said I needed to have the rotors machined due to them being in-even, believable due to them being original rotors with 120k. Then Dylan proceeded to tell me my brake fluid and tranny fluid were black in color and needed to be flushed. I laughed at him because I had the tranny flushed at 100k and declined their recommendation. Once the service was completed I asked Dylan to show me how "black" the fluid was. He pulled the oil dipstick(not the tranny, must have thought I was an idiot) and showed me the fluid. There is a weight on the end of my dipstick because of how long it is for my vehicle. The weight is black. Dylan is an idiot and if he is running the show I can only imagine the quality techs they have. DONT GO HERE. THEY TRY TO MAKE YOU BUY STUFF YOU EVEN NEED AND LIE!!! read more

I wish i could give negative star's but this place is just plain horrible the manager TJ (thats what he told me hes name was) has a very poor attitude. The work ethic on that place is just horrible! I took my car in for an alignment and they called me to let me know that my car had the bushings all torned off and a few other parts were bad and i told him i will be there in a few sec. I was ordering some food next door so they could explain to me in person what my car needed done and ones i got there the manager Tj didnt explain anything just because previously i had ask the guy at the front desk for a price on some strusts and than he was forcing me to get them and i just told him that i had my personal mechanic that could get it done for me that i just wanted to know the price. So the guys at the front desk told hes manager that i had my personal mechanic and thats when he didnt want to tell me what was "wrong" with my car. Also when i whent to pay for the alignment the guy told me to sign my receipt and he just threw me the pen instead of handing it to me. Please stay out of this place if you can poor work ethic, bad service and bad attitudes. If its lonely its for a reason and that reason is because they are just plain bad. Wish there was a number for break masters because i will call and report them. Never again will i go back to that place. read more

Beware of these guys. I took my car in for a CV axle. They told me the car had major problems and took me to the back to see. There was antifreeze all over the motor and under the car. They stated the car overheated. (There was no smoke) they also stated the motor was knocking and the water pump had a major leak. I told them to do the axle like I originally asked and leave the rest alone. After the axle was replaced I asked the mechanic if the leak was bad or if it's still drivable. The mechanic stated there is no leak... These guys are very shady. It also turns out that there diagnosis of "engine knock" turned out to be a cracked timing belt cover that was rubbing by the belt. A piece of plastic. These guys are shady. Would not recommend. read more

Service was excellent. I am a real customer went to 5+ shops before stopping here. The initial place I went to I was told I need new rotor's at another shop was told $240+ for brakes and the wait would be 6 hrs. I come to Brake Masters and was blown away by the very good price and he even told me i never needed my rotors done so i saved aton of money. BEWARE! I took an SUV in for front-end alignment and owner recommended over $1200 worth of parts to be replaced. He said that he wouldn't align the vehicle as it would be a waste of my money. A second opinion from my regular mechanic, and a third opinion from the place I took the vehicle to be aligned both are proof that Brake Masters was trying to sell me parts in didn't need. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE as my experience shows this organization is not to be trusted. I wish I would have consulted Yelp first, as I see now that the other reviews echo my own experience. read more

I'm never come back here again. I used to come every time for alignments because I'd get a coupon for $20 off. The customer service was never impressive, but just ok. But this will be the last time. They took 45 minutes longer than what they said. I understand that sometimes unexpected things come up and you get behind. But my car took 45 minutes longer than proposed only food out later that it was because the dude went on his lunch break. Hey, people gotta eat, nothing wrong with that. But if the job is going into lunch break time, then tell me so I can plan ahead. I came back from running (literally) errands in the area but rushed back to get the car only to wait and wait. I could've got more things done in the meantime. It's not just that, after I got home I noticed that my rear wheel was missing it's wheel cover. I called them and sure enough they still had it and forgot to put it back on and I had to drive back to that place. Once I got there, there was ABSOLUTELY NO APOLOGY. What?! Hey people make mistakes. I get it. Nobody's perfect. But at least give an apology for making someone have to drive all the way back for their screw up. Never again will I waste my time on this place even if I have to pay more. The coupons are a scam. I recently went in for an oil change. I asked for a price first and once I had that I told him I had a coupon. He proceeded to tell me the price he quoted was a "sale price" and that to use the coupon he would have to increase the price first. Their "sales price" was higher than what the dealer charges. I have used them in the past and have been very happy. Seems to be new management and I will not go back. Time to find a new place. read more

Went in for my first time, very nice, greeted me and took care of my issue quick. I went in thinking I needed an alignment and really I just had a tire that needed to be rotated. Oscar took care of the issue and set me up with some future work that may be needed come the time. Set me up with new windshield wipers and checked my cabin air filter as I asked. I took my Lexus for brakes @ "Brake Masters" in Redlands Ca for squeaky breaks. Since February I have had to return 4 times for the same problem and been charged $464.09 without resolution. Kenny, the guy at the counter took my car back 3 times to try to resolve the problem and kept telling me that "some times you just have to live with squeaky brakes". Never apologizing for the inconvenience of having to return over and over on my day off. I finally returned on Tues May 26th to let him know I would be taking my car somewhere else and would like to be reimbursed for that service. Again, Kenny was very rude and said they would not reimburse me unless I brought back the pads. There were 3 male customers in the waiting area who were witness to the horrible customer service and attitude, shaking their heads and one said it was not a way to run a business and the other left without service. I was charged $75 at Discount Auto & Tire Service on Citrus Ave. and the problem was immediately resolved. Only reason they received a star is you can't post without it! A total rip off! read more
