I took my car here to have the suspension and brakes looked at after an accident I was in and the person who looked at my car said that the wheel bearing was completely shot and needed to be replaced. I asked how that could have happened and he said by a pothole or hitting a curb. I then told him I was in an accident and he said that could have cause it as well. When I had the insurance adjuster meet with him, he told the adjuster that they shouldn't cover it because there were no marks on the tire. Yet, the quarter panel on both sides of the wheel had sever damage. They wanted me to pay $500 for the wheel bearing and $450 for new brakes and rotors. I had it towed to another place, they confirmed the wheel bearing absolutely was caused from the accident, made sure the insurance covered it, and only charged me $250 for the brakes and rotors, and gave me better quality brake pads than brakes plus offered, saving me $650!!! Brakes Plus tried to screw me, got caught in the act and when confronted was very rude about it. Needless to say, we wont' be bringing our cars there anymore. read more

I have had 2 oil changes here, both with coupons. The work was done quickly and the coupon was honored. The service was friendly, and when I returned with a question about tire pressure levels, they checked them on the spot and fixed whatever was wrong that was tripping the sensor on my dash. They also didn't treat me "Like a Girl in a Body Shop" which I appreciated. I had no issues and will return in another 5000 miles for the next oil change. read more

Excited to have my Jeep back, and in better condition then I left it! Mark was super helpful and patient, explained everything in detail over the phone and then broke it down piece by piece when I showed up to pick my Jeep up. He even gave me a student discount, (double digit percentage off my final bill!!) The only complaint I have is that my tire pressure light was on and wasn't checked nor mentioned to me. Not a big deal however I had my brakes repaired and an alignment done and would have thought that the light on the dashboard would of have been resolved when I got back in my car! I just had my second appointment in the past week canceled. The first appointment I scheduled online to have a diagnostic check. I should up for the appointment to find out that their diagnostic person wasn't working that day and that I should have called to make an appointment. I called to schedule an appointment and again took the time to bring my car in only to find out that "things had changed for them during the time of my appointment and they would have to cancel again." I'm very frustrated. My check engine light has been on for over a week now while they gave me a run around. On top of this their prices are higher than they should be. I drove up to get an oil change and they had three guys sitting in the garage doing nothing. Literally. Leaning on a counter. I was told that I would have to leave my car there over night because they couldn't do it and the next appointment was over a month away. They were open for another hour and I feel they just didn't wanna do it. An oil change takes a half hour cause I went across the parking lot to the other place and got it done in under 30 min. Have taken my families vehicles there for wheel alignment mostly and had no issues with the exception of last 2 visits where they advised me a tie rod needed to be replaced, they gave me 2 options for replacement parts, I choose the lower cost but upon picking they car up they charged me for a more expensive part which I didn't authorize. On another occasion I provided them different specs for rear alignment than factory and they said they would use them but the readout shows they didn't. And one one occasion 7 yrs back my son used then for a front bearing repack and they gave him a price and then tried to charge him more when the job was finished saying it was more for 4 wd , we refused to pay them the extra price and made a scene in the waiting room until they backed down. They have good customer mgmt skills but watch out for getting hit with additonal unauthorized charges. I don't plan to go back. read more

Had a bad experience dating back a year. Had brakes fully replaced, as well as a couple other repairs totaling over $1,000. Originally went in because brakes were squeaking - primarily my passenger rear. After the brake job, that same wheel still squeaked consistently when starting driving, and intermittently after warming up - pretty embarrassing for a new brake job. Called in, was told it is normal for new brakes to squeak for a few HUNDRED miles. Brought it in after a few months, was told the same things - wait and see, bring it back in a few months if it is still doing it. Fast forward to today - I'm told my options are to "just deal with it", as it is not hurting anything and the brakes are fine, or pay them $311 to warranty out the brand new parts since it has been over 6 months. Very disappointing considering I made contact more than once during the six months and was told to wait. The whole experience makes me wonder if I needed brakes in the first place, as the expensive work changed nothing about the noise or performance of the vehicle. They seem to have an inability to fix a simple squeak - very odd for a brake specialty shop. Definitely feel like there are some shady business practices going on. Moral of the story - stay on them if you choose to have them do any work. Make sure they fix any issues right away. I'll be steering clear in the future - my fault waiting as long as they told me to. read more

Went to the store, because my breaks were squeaking. There was a deal $100 pads and shoes. Also there was a free inspection. After the inspection they told me my breaks were still good and the squeaking was due to being cheap break pads. They were upset giving me the free inspection after finding out there was nothing wrong with my breaks. Then they said they could stop the squeaking, but it would cost $400. They listed some things that they were going to do to stop the squeaking to justify the $400 price, and I'm thinking to myself you just said the squeaking was because of the pads. I refused their services, watched some YouTube videos and went to Oreilly auto parts. I bought pads for all four weels, some lube, break fluid and a cleaner for about $90. It took me about three hours, my breaks don't squeak and I saved $300. Just don't go here. read more

They called me the day before the scheduled date and said they couldn't do it and that the website shouldn't have even allowed me to do schedule it, but I could bring it in and they could possibly get to it however it would take all day! Sitting at brake plus right now 05/28/13 to get my brakes done on my 1999 pathfinder. Had the pleasure of dealing with mark who is the manager. From the time I called him this morning to getting the job done it has been a great experience here. I used to work for a detailing company that handled car dealerships and worked closely with the service departments so I have been around this type of business for sometime. He has been honest extremely helpful by explaining everything to me and giving me every option possible to work with me on a tight budget. I even called my old adviser buddy and was told that not only was he not trying to make me get something I didn't need but also how great the price was. ( based on jersey prices ).. I cannot say enough good things about these guys. They are honest and sent me away to have my tires checked instead of doing the alignment I asked them to do. They recommended someone else for an electrical problem I was having. And the times they could help me they did without the high cost of the dealer. One of the best things they do is to tell you honestly when something needs to be done and when it can wait. I had power steering problems and they fixed the biggest part. Since I was low on funds they told me I could wait a few months to fix the rest and I would be okay. No hard sell here, like the dealer. This place has about the worst customer service possible. Was given misinformation by this location and was directed to another location who then told me that I was misinformed. However, rather than either location trying to help they were both horribly rude. The second man I spoke to at this location spoke over me numerous times only to "explain" to me why I must not be very smart because how dare I listen to whoever I spoke to yesterday at that location who told me my brakes could get done in an hour. Wow. It's not worth the "lifetime warranty" they offer on brake pads as they make it so difficult to get an appointment and take your car back in to take advantage of getting the pads replaced under the warranty. read more

While traveling thru town on an important time line I had a serious brake line problem. Not having the time to wait for parts etc.... Mark & his super cool staff, (especially Dustin) took it upon themselves to try everything possible to get me back on the road safely. After 2 different unsuccessful temporary fixes to my car they were not giving up on the best fix for the moment. They had me go from very worried to not at all... I could tell by their positive attitude that they were not going to give up, even meaning the company would make more money from me if they did, but they listened to me as to how importance it was that I get to Phoenix that night (SAT@2pm this all happen) Dustin refused to give up and he and another smiling face got aggressive and made it work. DONT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE!! Called ahead for a quote and they ended up charging me an extra $105 for the same repair they quoted me for. Then they overcharged me for spark plugs and spark plug wires with an 87% mark up not including the labor cost!!! Avoid this place at all cost; I had them replace a caliper that had frozen up, which went fine; or so I thought, more on that later. Took me four visits to get them to attempt to bleed the brakes on my 4runner properly...finally I gave up and decided to live with it! Then one year later I realize I didn't how f'd up these guys were; they play no attention to torque specs. I had a flat and attempted to change it on the road because it was not drivable the lug nuts wouldn't budge with the lug wrench that came with the truck, shortly a guy stopped with a wrench and a breaker bar, 4 of the studs twisted of off leaving me with two of the six to limp home. Now six month later, I had warping on rotor where the replaced the caliper, to remove the rotor I had to remove the caliper they replaced a year earlier the bolts are on so tight I've broken 3 wrenches trying to loosen the two bolts holding it on. My advice would be to stay away from these clowns... read more
