WARNING: HEALTH CODE VIOLATIONS!!!! I went here for lunch today, only to see that the guy handling raw meat with his bare hands was seasoning with the same salt shaker as the guy seasoning the fries... Raw-meat-man also touched the frier handles without washing his hands in between actions. THEN French-fry-guy who also did not wash his hands after touching the contaminated salt shaker went and touched the REFRIGERATOR handles, which many employees touched without washing their hands before or after. French-fry-guy also touched the bowls the fries went into and handed them off to a girl who was working the cold station. Quick recap: Everything in that restaurant has raw meat particles on it. It is a breeding ground for bacteria and food-borne illness. Don't try to bring it up with the owner or the financier (Kelly and her father), because you'll be cursed out and then physically threatened. I watched both of them curse out my father until I pulled my phone out to record it, then had Kelly's dad try to back his car up into me, then ran a red light to get away. I understand it is a Saturday night and things can be busy but unfortunately my fries were cold and we (very nicely) asked for replacements. This was our first visit here, and it was a great one with one exception: they got my husband's VERY simple order wrong. He wanted a burger with mustard and pickles - no lettuce, no onion - and that's what the order ticket said very plainly. The burger he was given was loaded with lettuce. Apart from that (for which the waitress did apologize), the burgers were very tasty, obviously home made with meat hanging off the bun - and the buns were very good, too. The food was okay. I am a cheeseburger fanatic but this place did not really do it for me. I got the smokey bull burger it was really sweet too sweet and I could not really taste the burger. My wife got the plain Jane and it was really plain. The fries were undercooked and the tables were not cleaned properly. They have like 6 TVs and a projector and none of them were working right we watched the direct tv logo for an hour. My son got burned really bad because the restroom sink does not have a proper plumb for the hand sink and my son burned himself on the hot water. One of the best burger places in Ellis County. The burgers are cooked fresh right in front of you. I have tried the jelly belly, the Hollywood, and the blue cheese burger. I liked all of them. The bun is nice and soft with a bit of toasting to it. The meat is seasoned well and cooked to order. The fries are good, but I like the onion rings better. Took a bun off of one (carb friendly) and added extra pickles to the other, received no bun but also not lettuce, no lettuce was received on the other as well. Make a substitution ? I did not know that was not allowed. when asked what we did the response was in a giggle " oh that was not about you" .....ummm okay.
