Great crispy fried chicken. The waffle was sweet and fluffy. Iced coffee on point. The atmosphere is nice with alot of older locals filling up the seats. There was a good amout of people chattering giving a great neighborhood vibe. Everything was clean and sanitary. The bathroom was clean and smelled nice. The service was good. Nice waitress had a warm smile and came back just enough times to ask us if we needed anymore coffee or water. Timely service made everybody at our table happy. Chicken was crispy and good. It's in a weird parking lot that you would imagine to find laundromats and old school video cassette/dvd stores lol Inside there are plenty of booths to the left and right and tables towards the middle. We were greeted and seated immediately since it was t very busy when we arrived. We ordered a water and orange juice and the waitress brought us an orange juice and coffee... Uhhh lol That's alright mistakes happen no big deal. The waitress asked for our order pretty quickly and I definitely wasn't ready. So she gave us some time and came back. When I asked for suggestions she didn't have a whole lot of input. Alright I mean I enjoy it when the employees are passionate about the food the restaurant makes and can give advice on what they've tried. But I had to wing it and ordered the cream cheese and strawberry crepes. My friend went with a waffle covered in strawberries and whipped cream. We both got hash browns for our sides. My crepe was tasty!!! Yum. Loves the cream cheese and fresh strawberries. The hash browns were dry and unappetizing. My friend enjoyed his waffle and finished his plate but also left the hash browns. I arrived before noon. The hostess at the Indiana Riverside location displayed an attitude right away. No greeting. No smile. Asked me if a particular table was ok. Since it seemed she was giving me a choice, I asked for one that was further from the door. She said she had to clean it (it didn't look dirty from a distance. No used plates/cups on it otherwise I wouldn't have asked for it.) She seemed put out to have to clean it. They weren't overly busy, and there was no one else who needed to be seated at the time. Isn't it her job to try to accommodate customers? At least be nice? Wiping the table took all of ten seconds if that. I thanked her, but she seemed perturbed. Not someone who helps make it a pleasant dining experience. Brandon's, you might want to consider someone else with better hospitality skills to seat/greet your customers. Doesn't seem like she likes her job. Maybe she was having a bad day, but shouldn't take it out on us. On a positive note, Heather, my server, gave exceptional service! (She gets five stars!) We had such a great breakfast at this Brandon's Diner! My waffle was crispy and delicious with the strawberries and whipped cream on top. My husband said his omelette was really good. The decaf coffee was hot and full of rich flavor. Our waitress was friendly and gave us great service. The other locations are really lacking compared to this location on Indiana/Tyler. This location may not be as fancy inside as the others, but the food and service make up for that for sure!! read more

My wife and I came here for breakfast yesterday. The place was packed. Despite being busy, we were seated right away. Greeted by the waitress (Carey) right away, and served quickly. The food was very good. Wife had flautas, which came in a large portion with chips and salsa, beans and rice. I had 2 eggs, hamburger patty and pancakes. Mine was very good. I was impressed with the staff; despite how busy they were, everyone was friendly and the service was quick. I hadn't been here before, but will definitely return. read more

I LOVE me a classic diner. I was in town and my parents wanted to take me to their new favorite spot. When you drive up, it looks very mom and pop. We came in on a Friday afternoon and were seated quickly. The atmosphere. Is very cute and the place is clean. I'm awful with names unfortunately but our waitress was extremely polite and patient with us. We tent to take longer to order (even our drinks). My boyfriend and I ordered from their hot sandwiches part of the menu. I ordered the steak sandwich and he got the pastrami. If you haven't tried The Belgium Waffles you are missing out!! They are light and tasty and the chicken tenders you get when you order the chicken and waffles is delicious as well. You get a choice between wings or chicken strips and this is perfect for the breakfast for dinner craving some of us get ever now and then. This place makes a bunch of good food and is always packed but since I like the waffles that's all I'll ever order when I go here. Servers are chatting and leaving empty drinks and coffee on the tables. Slow food service. We weren't greeted at the door, except to tell us to use the sign in sheet. After a 40 minute wait to be seated, it was approx 10 more mins before getting greeted, 15 mins for coffee, then 15 mins to take our order, then almost 30 mins before the first of 4 plates came out, the 10 mins later for the next 2, then 10 mins for the last. Keep in mind through all of this, we got NO REFILLS... ZERO, even after requested. Our check never came to us, so we went to the front counter to get it. And went back to the front counter to pay it. This is out neighborhood diner, where we eat about 3 times a month. After complaining about service a few times before. This will be our last almost 3 hour tour. Sad day. read more

We came here for Taco Tuesday last night for the first time...$1.99 each crispy taco shredded chicken or beef. we got the chicken tacos and they are very delicious! i recommend ordering chips and salsa as well to go with it, their salsa is homemade and delicious! I have been eating there every Tuesday for lunch and doing takeout there for the last 5 years since I moved into Tyler Springs Apartments. All of a sudden the last 2 times I have been on Tuesday and the last 4 take out orders have NOT been right !! And I even ask the waitress that took my order to PLEASE check it before she bagged it AND I EVEN THE LAST 2 times I gave them a $5.00 tip hoping that everything was the way it was supposed to be.......TO NO AVAIL !!! Great little neighborhood breakfast joint. They have a combination of American and Mexican food. I always seem to lean toward the mexican dishes. This morning mine was Huevos Compensinos - Tortilla Chips topped with two fried eggs and really great pork chile verde (for you gringos that green sauce) served with beans, hashbrowns and tortilla. Always more than enough food and probably why my husband and I leave this place to a lazy sunday. Their new place on Indiana has a salad bar and also serves some great sandwiches/burgers and fried chicken. First we got sat quickly which was nice but then we're left for 20 minutes with no service. The couple next to us were sat 5 minutes after and got coffee and ordered and had their food before we even ordered. We were about to walk out when we got a waitress finally and then ordered and we're left with no service. Of course, the owner's daughter must have had the day off. The servers were talking while doing a whole lot of nothing. The food was GREAT as usual and the price is fair.
