    Cesar salad

Their service is so great!!!! I ordered English size steak, Cesar salad and cocktail they recommended. All perfect !!! You should definitely go!!!

    Prime rib and potatoes

Brass Ram was outstanding. The prime rib was perfectly prepared, but the surprises stole the show. The garlic-forward Caesar with salmon roe was incredible, and the carrot cake--perfectly spiced, not overly sweet, with candied carrots and salted caramel--was the best I've ever had. Excellent service and a kitchen that clearly knows what it's doing. I'll definitely be back.

I went here for my birthday The main event was for the prime rib, but I think the best bite that we had was the appetizer with the thinly sliced New York strip and Ponzo sauce. The prime rib was really good but the horseradish sauce that it came with made it very delicious. The mac & cheese was very creamy and tasted very good. I love the steakhouse vibes going on sat in a very comfy booth and the service was great. My wife's fish that she got was not her favorite. She thought it was a little dry. I don't know if it's a fish, but it did need the sauce and the sauce was good. I ended the night with a little glass of Port wine. That was very delicious.

I sat at the bar and had Nicole as a bartender. I was there on a Wed before a concert at the Majestic. She was very attentive. I had the pasta special which was a tomato alla vodka with lobster and the Brussels sprouts. The Brussels sprouts are to die for. I paired it all with a Pinot Noir from OR. Really nice inside but not very busy.

I recently had a closing dinner with our new bank in one of the private rooms at this nice steakhouse in downtown Dallas. Service was great, prompt and friendly. The wine selection was broad featuring the notable varietals and regions that one would expect from a good steakhouse. Steaks and sides were well-prepared and tasted great. I've recommended Brass Ram to many when considering a business meal and also for an elegant date night. Give them a try.

First time here and would definitely go back. Loved the vibe and decor. Felt upscale but comfortable. It is cold, so bring a jacket, although they gave us a blanket:) Waiter was very attentive and polite. Tried several things on the menu. 1836 is their take on an old fashioned, which is supposed to have Dr Pepper in it but I couldn't really taste it, still really good tho. Left Foot Special is basically a margarita but the midori gives it an interesting after taste. Wine by the glass selection seems ok, but ask to try them first. I don't think we actually got what was on the menu (according to the check). The burger was AMAZING! By far favorite part of the dinner. The seafood special was good, swordfish, but felt a little dry. My friend got the prime rib and she said it was really good but not sure she'd order it again. I can't vouch as I don't like prime rib, but my mom loves it so I'll take her to try! Get the onion rings on the side! Tried their take on bread pudding, it was pretty good but a little over powering in apple pie if you don't like apples. All in all, I recommend. I want to go back and try happy hour!

Brass Ram has such a rustic yet opulent vibe! We chose to valet the car as we heard that the self park options weren't so good, but the lot next to the building seemed to have plenty of spots? It's $7 but there's a $1.75 convenience fee. However, it's nice that you can call for your car before you leave. The restaurant is on the second floor, and the hostesses are so friendly, they opened the door for us and were so understanding about us being a little late (valet was parking another car). We got a nice wide booth that could easily fit 4 (maybe even 6) people. Our waiter was super knowledgeable and guided us on the nightly specials and kept in mind my allergies. He recommended the pop's cut for prime rib which is super shareable amongst 2, maybe even 3 people. We ordered 2 sides as he recommended as well because the portion sizes were just right for us two. We also ordered the carpaccio app which was amazing and so delicious. We didn't end up finishing all of the prime rib, and we got extra au jus to take home with us! I'm a little disappointed that they didn't do anything special for my husband's birthday but the whole experience was pretty nice.

The Brass Ram in Dallas, Texas, is a little gem perched on the 2nd floor downtown. From the moment I walked in, I loved the restaurant's chic but nostalgic atmosphere. There is memorabilia everywhere. The highlight of my meal was the wedge salad with a southwestern ranch dressing twist--it was simply amazing! Like a good pescatarian I am, I also tried the crab cake, and let me tell you, there's no filler in this puppy! It was packed with crab meat, perfectly seasoned, and pan seared. Loved it!

    Wedge Salad is top notch.

The service and the food were outstanding. We were greeted and seated quickly (we had a reservation through OpenTable)), and the general manager came over and said hello. Our waiter was attentive but not bothersome, and offered information on a number of specials as well as some details on the menu. The peach and buratta salad special was light and delicious and truly exceptional. The wedge salad is one of the best I have had. We both got prime rib, the smaller cut and the gentleman cut. The meat was cooked perfectly and very flavorful, accompanied with a popover and horseradish sauce with au jus. Great food accompanied with great service really made this dinner special.

From the moment we took the elevator up, I enjoyed the vibes. The host was welcoming when we arrived and chatted as we walked to our seats. It wasn't crowded for dinner on Tuesday night, which was nice. The appetizers were so good, and the meatballs were just delicious. Our server, Sarah (sorry if I got their name wrong), was fantastic and attentive. She also gave us suggestions off the menu. And everything we got was just delicious We did get the Caesar salad with no croutons But other than that, everything we ordered was as is. We enjoyed it so much that we even got gift cards, but you do have to pay separately for them We did sit in a corner booth closer to the back after the bar. We did Uber, so I'm not sure about parking

I can't say more wonderful things about this restaurant. The service is impeccable. Food was incredible. Drinks were perfect. We had one of the best date nights we have had in a long time and can't wait to come back!

Whoa, another intoxicating evening at Brass Ram. Attentive service. Seductive setting. Ideal Dirty Martinis. Impressive wine list. On this visit, amazing bites of "Coconut Shrimp" & "Crab Cake". Luscious and decadent was "The Big Kebab" of lobster, scallop, king crab, and, shrimp. And, I dub thee, the King of "Prime Rib" in Big D! CHEERS!

We were huge fans of Meddlesome Moth(which had closed a few months prior). The beer list didn't excite me(I'm a beer snob) but the bar vibe and the great staff quickly made me forget about that. We eat there twice a month now and when we don't get in on a regular schedule, we really miss it. I'm a huge fan of the steak frites and my wife loves the weekly pasta dishes which never disappoint. The cocktails are great and they're made by the friendliest barkeeps in town(Matt, Christine) Christopher keeps the place flowing and Brittani(owner) is great and always welcoming. The overall vibe is comfy and totally unpretentious. Goldies is a hidden gem but has quickly become a popular spot. Great spots like this don't stay hidden very long. Highly recommended! Carter L

Food, however, wasn't great, we came multiple times last year and it was fantastic all around, last night?... New risotto appetizer was flavorless 4/10, sauce was outstanding 9/10. Chicken meatballs were 6/10, salty, but sauce again was 8.5/10. Bread with the meatballs was 9/10. Nightly special was 9/10, chicken thigh wrapped chicken leg, amazing sauce and carrots. Special sauce with the nightly special stole the night at 9.5/10 - I'd order a bowl of that and call it a night! Magic Chicken Thighs were 6/10, overly salted and dry - side arugula salad was a salt bomb 2/10. Sweet potatoe purée was 7.5/10. Burger and fries were 7/10, solid and above average. Salmon was 7/10, slightly overcooked. Mac & Cheese was 3/10, below average, dry, almost flavorless - paid $4 for bacon topping and it was dry also. Noodles were dried out and the cheese sauce was at the bottom of the cup, tasted like they scooped in pre-made noodles, added sauce, threw it in the oven and off it went - didn't appear mixed together at the least. Carrots, solid 8/10. Overall, I'd be tempted to give it another try, the ambiance and overall feel is awesome - then hope the food is great again and make it a perfect Friday night spot, but for $275 for the 4 entree's, 2 appetizer's and 2 drinks we got last night? I'd argue it wasn't worth it.

During my second visit, I tried the Bitter Lemon Soda, which was also very good--simple, refreshing, and without any overpowering flavors. I actually enjoyed The Bowen House so much that I went twice during my weekend trip to Dallas. It has an almost speakeasy-like atmosphere, with low lighting and a cozy, historic feel. It's also in a very walkable area, which made it easy to visit on foot. There is some parking available, although I would say it's somewhat limited. I don't think it would be the best spot for a very large group, but it would be perfect for a few friends getting together. I also appreciated that you can order a drink while waiting for a table or bar seating, which made the wait feel much more enjoyable. Overall, The Bowen House was one of my favorite places I visited while in Dallas. Between the atmosphere, welcoming service, and well-crafted drinks, it's definitely a place I would return to the next time I'm in town.

I ended up only ordering a drink and an appetizer because I was so disappointed I didn't want to go further. $23.75 Joey Martini - just a simple dry vodka martini w Kettle One. But the description lured me in with the promise of a fantastic martini with an "extra martini on the side". What I received was a half of a martini with the rest of my martini in a shaker next to it. The martini was fine but nothing special. Not the first time I've overplayed for a drink but I do feel a little funny about the way their menu sold me then undelivered. $19 Hummus - The food was an issue for me though. When I order Hummus, I expect to receive hummus. Like the dish should be 70-80% hummus with some light toppings and some good pita bread. What I received was a pretty plate but very little actual hummus and a disaster of pita. First, they made a pretty plate circle of a small band of hummus then filled it with extra stuff to make it APPPEAR as if the center was filled with hummus yet there was zero hummus except for that small outer band. I estimate 49% hummus and the rest tzatziki and garnishment. Don't get me wrong, very aesthetically pleasing and tasty "extras" but the menu item isn't titled "EXTRAS with a little hummus". It's titled "Hunmus". And the pita... oh boy, what a mess. Proper pita is lightly grilled - served warm with a nice sponginess yet bite friendly approach. This pita was way over saturated in their butter/oil, and crisped up to the point there were burn marks and char on every piece. Horrible pairing with hummus and JOEY should know it. I feel these other reviews may be fake honestly as the prices are insane and the execution quite poor. Be careful. $45 for a $15 meal isn't worth it.
