This is definitely not a place for events, and with the worst customer service I've ever seen. To start with, this was the 5th year we tried to have our Secret Santa close to the window space they have, besides being more beautiful it's more comfortable. The first 2 years Okay, it wasn't available, on the 3rd year when we made the reservation it was asked for the window space, when we got there they had simply put another group of people there, putting our table beside the buffet table, in front of the place where you get meat, without letting us know it. It was a really bad experience, people were bumping into us all the time, plus the smoke and smell from the meat which was going to our direction, we were a group of 11 people, we could barely listen to each other. On the 4th, that space was not available, we accepted another place if it wasn't beside the buffet table, our table was with a pillar in the middle, 2 from the 11 girls felt apart from the others, the pillar was avoiding the communication and their vision. Now pay attention to our last trying, in the begging of November I called them to make the reservation, I asked for the window space, it was available, and I was very specific when I told their employee we only wanted if it was there, for the bad experiences we had had in the past 2 years. The girl who I talked to was very nice and said she had put a note in our reservation. Too good to be true. On the day of our event, December 19th, my instinct made me call them to see if everything was fine, when the same girl got the phone she told me they moved us from the window area, saying they left me a voice mail communicating me the changing, which I didn't get, when I asked why, she said they put another group of people there. I questioned her why they did that knowing we only wanted if it was there, the note was there, and even knowing it they did it anyway without even trying to talk to me one more time. I asked to talk to the manager because I know it wasn't her fault and she would not be able to help me. When their manager, Philip called me back, first he was very impolite and rude, affirming that they left us a voice mail communicating it, again, I never got it, but he insisted, anyway, I asked him what they could do for us and he just said there was nothing he could do for us. When I questioned him why they did that having the note he said there was no note, that moment I got mad, because either him or the girl was lying, I said I had just spoken to the girl and she confirmed the note was there, how come he didn't see it? He said they needed to change us to put a bigger group in their, so okay, you can say it's not available for us but you can't for them? Now the worst, when I said our reservation was made for that area and it was the second time they changed us, and if I didn't have called them to confirm it we would have had another surprise, his answer was: we can't guarantee that area, my question: so why do you make reservations then? What's the deal? What does the word reservation stand for? He didn't change his answer, I questioned him saying: OK if you can't guarantee that space to us why are you doing it to them? Put them somewhere else and move us back. His argument was: but you do have a place, you still have your reservation, repeating that they don't guarantee that space. I told him that was not told us in none of the times we made a reservation there, and if it is like that they should give instructions to their employees to let us know by the time we make a reservation, he said that it is said. So now am I lying? I reaffirmed it wasn't said and very impolite he said it was, he didn't say thanks for the feedback. They have known us for a while, we used to order food from there almost every Saturday, plus our family go there very often, they know our business very well. When I asked him why they didn't try to talk to us again he said they left a voice mail on the phone number used for the reservation. Now what I said to him I'll say it again, we have a business and we do all we can do to please and to satisfy our clients, when we need to talk to them we try to find different ways when they don't answer phone and don't return the voice mail, or at least we leave a second voice mail, they had our business phone number, they knew how to reach us if they wanted to, but no, they didn't make any effort, they didn't think about us, they were worried about the bigger group, at any point he apologized, not even one I'm sorry, not even a trying to make something for us. All the girls got upset, feeling like we are whatever for them, like they don't need us. Their manager doesn't know what being a manager means and the importance of a customer. We will definitely not even try to have our Secret Santa their anymore.
