My husband ordered tons of pastry last month for the office and it was a hit and miss. Some of the items were good and some of them were not so good, so I decided I need to come back to give a proper review. When you first walk in you can see it's pretty busy inside and I always pay attention to the staff because you can tell if they like working there. Staff didn't look that happy, they were running left and right and unorganized. Last weekend, I ordered a veggie burrito that wasn't seasoned. Potatoes were mushy and all they did was cook down the veggies and put it in a burrito. I'm not sure if they think vegetarians or people that eat vegetarian food should eat flavorless food, but what a huge letdown on the burrito. I ordered $80 worth of pastries and food and I regret it. I should've took my a** to TacoBell. If you're vegetarian, please try the veggie burrito and let me know if you like your veggies w no seasoning. We ordered some bolilo breads that were stuffed with chorizo for $7.50 and when it came time to try it out, they bit into it and it was a cream cheese and jalapeño one that cost $4.00... talk about a rip off. $3.50 difference, so I called to tell them and the nice "I don't give a fax" attitude girl I talked to... I explained what happened and she said "okay maybe they mixed it" and just stood quiet on the phone. Someone teach these kids phone etiquette please! Apologize about your fax up and say we can either refund or replace it. Of course I wasn't calling for that, just letting them know they can't do that because there's a price differential and in the middle of talking, the dumb broad transfers me to someone new. The gal was all... "can I help you?" "No I don't know what's going on"... so here I am repeating myself to Zitalli who also could give 2 faxes. I would never recommend this place to anyone. If I was the owner of this place they should either retrain the dumb first broad and Zitalli because both girls have no telephone etiquette at all. Maybe text first and read it out loud if it sounds proper. I'm very disappointed with this place. When you sell something higher than what is displayed that's stealing and although it's not the most money, wouldn't you want to be fair to all your customers not just say "oh okay, it was just in the same case that's why". I don't know why I try to find new bakeries to see if they are as good as Sugar Twist and this is what happens. read more

I have come here since they opened and it was always good. Went tonight for the first time in quite a while and I am DISGUSTED to say the least. First, the cashier couldn't tell me which items contained peanuts or not for my husbands allergy so we stuck with what we knew which is whatever. Most importantly regarding the baked items, I have NEVER in my life tasted cheesecake that tasted like PURE OLD STALE WAX! This was not cheesecake consistency & the flavor didn't even resemble a dessert. I legitimately am contemplating whether she gave me a display chzcake or not. I couldn't even finish chewing it. I have never had a cheesecake that tasted and textured like this. The macaron tastes like someone poured pistachio perfume in it. And the brownie is so gritty it's almost like eating sand. I am utterly disgusted after spending 65$ DOLLARS on dessert that this is what we get. We got 2 str, 2 ras, 2 blueb danishes, 1 strw crosssint, about 8 donuts, a brownie, cheesecake, macaron and a few other things. I cannot believe they advertise quality and this is what we got. Was only offered a gift card, as oppose to my original payment method of cash. We stopped in for breakfast and had some great food. The Slammer breakfast sandwich was really tasty. My husband liked his Monte Cristo, but said it definitely needed more cheese, and more custardy bread. The service was 5 star. I opted for the dark roast coffee and it was really, really strong. Let me just begin with Japanese cheesecake, was so fluffy and delicious, sweet but not over powering. I also had a white chocolate latte and it was perfectly made. Got convinced in trying their fish tacos and I'm glad I did because they were made to perfection. Tortilla was fresh,fish batter was not oily at all and super flavorful. Pico de gallo and salsa made freshly as well! 10/10 Cherry on top the service was good, the beautiful young lady that took our order was so polite and well educated. Although the server was quick to take our order and bring drinks , she never returned to ask how everything was going. This slice of divinity was served at a party. Not only was the cake absolutely beautiful, it was moist and had real fresh strawberries layered inside. Absolutely loveee this place !! The food is always so fresh the costumer service is amazing and the wait time isn't bad at all. I definitely think this place is underrated for sure, their desserts are good and their matcha is a 10/10 it taste so authentic and sweet it's a perfect balance. The food has ALWAYS been fresh and the tater tots are soo crispy and crunchy I definitely recommend getting them, everything in general is amazing ! My only complaint would be that it is pretty pricy we typically pay about 65$ just for 2 ppl which is why we don't come here to often just because there's other business that have lower prices with food that is also pretty good, I would definitely come here more often is the prices weren't so high but aside from that everything else is amazing and I know I'll always have good food and a good time when I come here :) !! read more

Finally tried this place and its pretty good. I Had the rosemary Brie sandwich and it was very tasty and huge. The fries were mid but still good. I also had the mousse cup and it was just sweet enough. My friend had a Mexican roll and enjoyed it. Prices were definitely more on the higher side. When it was my turn I ordered 12 Easter cookies, jalapeño cheese bread, guava pound cake, rosemary bread, blueberry cheese danish. There are no prices next to the items they have a board with lots of items on it and I was trying to hurry because people are waiting. The girl rang me up at it was $84 I was kinda shocked but with people waiting I didn't want to mess with taking things off. Definitely more than I wanted to spend at that moment. It would be helpful to have prices next to product so you know exactly what you are spending. The cookies were good, soft and super cute. The guava pound cake I didn't eat but was told it was just ok. The jalapeño cheddar bread was raw in the middle. The rosemary bread I was told don't buy again it was just ok. I went here for pastries for a birthday brunch for my dad wanting some high quality and delicious treats. I saw they had a guava danish and was reminded of stories my dad told me growing up eating guava so I was sold plus all this pictures and wide variety made it easy. I was immediately greeted upon entering, loving the friendly atmosphere, and probably shocked the server behind the counter wanted three dozen baked goods without pre-ordering but I risked it, came early, and wanted to pick out by what looked good. I ended up with a dozen muffins (4 different flavors blueberry, cranberry orange, apple cinnamon, and some other specialty flavor I don't remember the name of that was not as dense but sugary on the outside, all delicious since we quartered them). A dozen croissants (chocolate, almond, strawberry, and plain that we cut in half and they were crispy and flaky and filled with yumminess). Lastly, a dozen danish (guava cream cheese, cream cheese, Nutella, and strawberry cream cheese, and again cut in half and all amazing). She did amazing placing them in the nice containers that doubled as serving trays and even asked if she needed to rearrange them or if they looked okay. Was it a little pricey? In my opinion this place has overpriced priced baked goods. My ham and cheese croissant had a sprinkle of cheese and a thin slice of ham, the Jalapeño and cheese bolillo was tough, and almond croissant had very little filling.
