Truffle fries.
Melissa S.

Date night, we ordered the Blue Cheese Bruschetta, it was soooo good. Creamy blue cheesy, perfectly crisp baguette, a fig jam, tomato's and cornichons with a prosciutto topper. Then we ordered the Prince Edward Mussels. I hope you're hungry or intend on sharing with 3 others. My husband and I couldn't finish them, there is honestly too many in the pot. But boy do the deliver flavor. Sit down and take notes Guy Fieri, this is flavortown. The broth is heavenly. Last savory we ordered was the burger. We ordered it midway through the mussels not realizing there were 1,000,000 mussels in our pot. So when it arrived, we were full. We each ate a quarter of it and it was amazing. The bread was fluffy, the meat was perfect and it all came together beautifully. We had truffle fries on the side. I highly recommend everything we ordered. We had a couple bites of a salted caramel chocolate tart that was bomb and a crème brûlée macaron that was epic. All of the staff are nice as can be. The space is cool, it's clean. While we didn't drink, the bartender was serving up some beautiful cocktails and based off the menu and guests faces, I bet they didn't disappoint.

Here's a polished, smooth rewrite: I went for their soft opening -- the drinks weren't my favorite, but the pizza was really tasty. They have a great menu overall, and the specials were a nice touch. The beignet special was really good, the mini Angus burgers were delicious, and the pain au chocolat was amazing. I also love that you can grab pastries and sandwiches to go if you don't want to dine in. The truffle fries were good, but they would be even better with a garlic aioli.

Went in for a business lunch and had the shrimp tacos and a side of fries. The menu looked great. We sat on the outside patio which was great and the service was good as well.

I'm very happy that Westchase has this nicer restaurant now! Our cocktails were very enjoyable along with the sliders appetizer and caesar salad. The menu is a little bit all over the place, so it's hard to know what else is good, as the prices were a little higher for the quality of food. The outdoor seating was very nice and the live music was a great touch! With that being said, there were LED lights indoor that seemed out of place and our server was wearing pimple patches (not very professional or appetizing) - but I hope people will support and keep it in business! Will be back.

They serve you quickly and you never have to wait to order more. Although this is a very enjoyable wine bar, it is a little too upscale & pricey for the area. There are no flights, specials, or happy hours, so I don't go nearly as often as I'd like. I really wish they had some kind of specials so I could enjoy it more often. It seems like a place that would be in south tampa or downtown, but being in Lutz it would be nice if was more affordable for locals. It also lacks the fun and charisma that used to be there under the previous owners. Tastings, classes, events like trivia night, or weekly specials would really make this bar feel more lively & welcoming.

Wine, snacks, apps, friendly people. What's not to love?…read more Louie's Wine Bar is a sweet little stop on Van Dyke Road, in the same plaza as Nabruzzi Trattoria. The restaurant can get crazy busy, so parking can be wonky, but thankfully, there is a back parking lot and a back entrance to Louie's Wine bar. In huge latters above the back door it says WINE BAR. You can't miss it. In fact, I think I prefer to park out back, because the spots in the front lot are so tight. Anyway, come on in, sit at the bar, or in a comfy chair or at a high top, nobody minds. Coralee, Robert or Lee will greet you warmly, and get you a glass of water while you peruse the extensive wine menu. They offer a huge variety of whites, rose's , bubbles and red wines by the glass, by the bottle and some even by the half bottle. Pick your poison. If you are having trouble deciding, they will pour you a taste to compare to help you make your best decision. They also have a small but thorough food selection. Flatbreads, boards and snacks to satisfy your hunger no matter the level. I find this Wine bar a lovely addition to the neighborhood, a great place to unwind and hang out with old friends and make some new ones as well.

I always look forward to trying a couple new tapas on the happy hour menu along with a couple drinks for the wife and I. Worthy of 4 stars Service is typically very accommodating and helpful. However the last time me and my family went there was a bit of a letdown. First of all it was 8 of us so they sat us at the first table when you walk in on the right. Things were going well, however after the first 10-15 minutes we realized everyone was freezing! There was a vent pushing air non stop on us and it was not enjoyable. Towards the end we had to actively leave to go outside to warm up. You may ask, did you inquire with the team to assist to see about turning the air down? We sure did, the host working that day (May 2nd evening time) said there is nothing we can do, we can't move you now that you've sat down and that they typically tell people to bring a jacket if they plan on sitting them there. Well great! Problem solved, we appreciate absolutely no heads up and now we are not enjoying our time. There was also an event going on the patio, to which they had all left and lingering outside/parking lot area, we inquired again with the host to see if we could go on the patio for the remainder of our drinks. She also said no, as there was still some time left on that parties reservation (even though no one was there). All in all, horrible host, and I won't be back with a large family after spending $400+ with the potential risk of sitting and freezing our a$$ off. However will continue to support local business with my wife and I.

Back in October, I made a reservation for 20 people for a January dinner to celebrate my dad's birthday. I had heard the week before that Max sold the restaurant, but at that point it was too late to find another place that could accommodate such a large group. Our reservation was at 4:00 pm. When I walked in at 4:03 with my son, there was a man standing by the pizza oven on his cell phone. I initially thought he was a customer waiting for food since there was no acknowledgment at all. After a few minutes, a couple of cooks walked out, looked at us, and said nothing. The man continued texting and then, very coldly, asked, "How can I help you?" I told him I was there for the party of 20, and he responded, "They're in the back," with no warmth or professionalism. As someone who worked in the restaurant industry for over a decade, I was honestly shocked by the greeting. Once seated, I informed our server that both my brother and I have celiac disease and that eating gluten-free is a serious medical necessity. Normally, servers acknowledge this and reassure guests that they'll speak with the kitchen. Instead, she said nothing and walked away while I was still speaking. The appetizers were fine, but the main courses were extremely disappointing. I ordered the gluten-free veal marsala, a dish I've had countless times at Nabruzzi over the years. This was easily one of the worst versions I've ever had...completely bland, with large chunks of garlic instead of properly minced, and so unappetizing I couldn't finish it. My husband ordered the pollo florentine and described it as something our four-year-old could have made. The presentation was equally poor; the food looked like it had simply been thrown onto the plates. The server never once checked on us after the food was delivered, which should happen within the first few bites. I also brought a birthday cake for my dad, and it was served before all the dinner plates were cleared. As we were leaving, the owner simply said, "Have a good one." It's clear that the new owner has little to no experience in the restaurant or service industry, which is incredibly disappointing. Nabruzzi was once a warm, friendly Italian restaurant and a hidden gem in Lutz...a place our family truly loved and visited often because it felt welcoming and close to home. Sadly, after this experience, we will not be returning.

The food quality and flavor is excellent. I love the bread with olive oil served before the meal. I ordered veal and it was also excellent and the pasta is delicious too. We ordered the Romano pizza as an appetizer and it was ok. Unfortunately our food took a loooooong time to come out. The pizza probably took 30 minutes. We asked for the salads to come out at the same time but again had to wait. My salad had no dressing on it so I had to ask for it which they did send out. The meals again took quite awhile to come out. I will say our server was friendly, but the kitchen just took forever with everything. I will definitely come back because the food is so good. Hopefully this was just an off night.
