Delicious and high-quality Japanese bread. A bakery with highly experienced pastry, chef and bakers from Japan you should try this place out. Interior was very clean and comfortable. I recommend the plain small square loaf bread. Texture was great with a little bit of chewiness and fluffy fresh bread. Croissant was also very good.

Cute local gem, a couple blocks away from the beach. Tried their butter bread that is made Roth thick sliced of bread with melted butter with a side salad, love the buttery flavor. Honey to compliment the toasted sweet bread, unique touch. Also tried their caffeine free drinks, it was different, had a nice light latter flavor to it. I observed the staff was so welcoming to their customers, it was refreshing to see this on such a busy street in Redondo Beach

Tried the HOJICHA LATTE at Bread Espresso and honestly really enjoyed it. It leaned more on the refreshing side rather than heavy, and the flavor was actually really good. The space itself felt open and comfortable with plenty of seating both indoors and outdoors. Parking was easy to find, which made the visit even better, and the staff was helpful and welcoming. The pastries were surprisingly good too -- they had a generous amount of custard and tasted fresh. One of my favorite things about this spot is that it's so close to the beach, which makes it a nice place to stop by and relax.

matcha mou ($5.4) - looks unassuming shaped like a cube and a bit tiny but it's actually a really good quality bread - wouldn't say it's any life changing or something I'd go out of my way to get but it's pretty good although ive had better ones in asia - it's soft and chewy with some moisture retained; not dry at all! rating: 4/5 - not astonishing but it's a good basic bread id get if im around the area - love the variety of asian flavors - service is alright... wait time could be a bit long but it's probably because i went when it was still hot and newly opened - small spot with major bakery vibes rather than brunch vibe even though it's got brunch menu too; there are seats inside but could easily fill up IG: @nom.noms.only

This skillet French toast is literally one of the best I've had so far. I haven't had it in Japan so I honestly can't tell if it's similar, subpar, or better than the one in Japan but definitely one of the best in my opinion. Matcha latte and iced cappuccino were good too. Service and ambience were great.

Pros: - baked goods were amazing!!! 5/5 for the bakery section. Definitely try to go earlier because they sell out of things (I went around 1pm and they sold out of a few things). - The vibe of the place was soooo cute, nice, and clean. They really used the space well with all the seating and outdoor area. - There is a small parking lot up the hill behind the building. - all the staff except the barista that day were super nice! - plain iced latte with oat milk was solid. Not mind blowing but still good. Room for improvement: - the drinks were very mid and not worth the price (basically $9). I'm sure the quality of matcha powder is exceptional; however, the ratio to milk was very off and it was so milky you could barely taste the matcha. The barista that day was kind of rude to the customer in front of me and when I asked a question about their Hot Drink Tokyo Fog, he brushed off the question and shortly replied it was an iced tea. - there's a bottleneck at the cash register because of the workflow. The register person takes orders, cashes out, cleans and refills the trays, wraps each of your baked goods, and probably more. So there ends up being a longer wait there even if you're only grabbing 1 baked good, I ended up waiting a lot longer than I thought I would. I would come back for the hot food and baked goods if I'm in the area. Excited to see them grow!

I really really wanted to love this place since the location is cute and the employees are so sweet but the drinks were truly disappointing... however, they are known for their breads and pastries so if you do stop by, I recommend sticking to their baked goods or getting an espresso instead of their matchas or hojichas!

Their best item is the curry cube bread. Big chunks of beef inside with some traditional curry sauce. Very savory and tasty even at home after toasting it in the air fryer. The bacon version didn't have enough bacon and was a little boring with nothing inside after eating the curry version. The melon pan was best fresh. The earl grey was a little too subtle. Fig focaccia would have been better if the bread was softer. It was a little tough to eat. The Americano was excellent because of how strong it was. Some inside and outdoor seating. Parking on the street and behind the restaurant. Very nice location for brunch or lunch.

Came in for breakfast and a cappuccino. I love how clean and beautiful this space is and the service is just as good as the food!! The french toast plate was a 10/10. Yummy and a well balanced meal

    Danni Y.

Highlights: the honey toast was definitely delicious, crispy caramelized edges and soft chewy bread. Grab and go for this alone, price point is okay at $5.6 for each cube. Their tiramisu latte was good as well but for $8 it didn't stand out enough to justify the price. Wouldn't get the margarita pizza bread again, it was a little soggy. The other issue is that they really need to hire more servers, definitely a little congested to pay and order and be prepared to wait for drinks/food. Theres a few tables inside and out. Located off the PCH in Redondo, you can find free parking along the street.

I came here for the first time for lunch! The ambiance is excellent with jazz music playing in the background. I ordered the Egg Salad Sandwich with french fries. The bread texture is super soft! The egg salad is perfect. The krinkle fries is crispy too and paired well with the sandwich I will be coming back again to try more! Service: they were very friendly and helpful with helping me with my order

This is a very cute café with great vibes and outdoor seating. There's a small parking lot in the back, plus street parking, though it's on a steep hill. I like that the front operates in a casual, self-serve style similar to Paris Baguette or 85°C, where you grab pastries with a tray and tongs. In the back, you can order drinks and entrees at the counter, and they'll bring everything out to your table. All of the staff were friendly, but I felt the pricing was a bit steep for what you get. A small hojicha latte was $8 and came out barely lukewarm. The clam chowder was also mostly potatoes and, again, not very hot. I'm someone who really prefers my food and drinks served hot, so that part was disappointing. That said, I did enjoy the soft bread bowl the chowder came in. My husband ordered the ginger pork sandwich, and once again, the highlight was the bread. Overall, if I were to return, I'd probably just grab pastries to go. The butter and red bean pastry caught my attention and I'd probably like to try next time.

This is a nice counter service bakery with fresh breakfast brunch lunch menu meal items. The main disposition isn't about the quality of the food at all, it's quite delicious, but it's more of the value perception (or reality) of the the prices and portions, which quite honestly is a subjective perception or rather opinion. I feel the portions can increase by 1/3 more OR the prices can be lowered by 30% and that feels like a justified sweet spot for this place to thrive. The Japanese Curry in the Bread Loaf Bowl was good, but at $22, it felt quite expensive given the lack of robust substance to the entree that lacked a quantity of meat and vegetables to be appetite fulfilling. It came with a side salad and I felt the entree was worth more like $12 to $15 as being right priced. Parking is easy and it's in the less congested part of Redondo Beach on PCH along the "ABC alphabet avenues" area.

I think these breads and pastries are nice, but what brings the fifth star is when they use their breads for sandwiches. My wife ordered a blanco toast, which had ricotta, avocado, and a bunch more flavor bombs over freshly baked sourdough toast. I highly recommend their 'works" bagel sandwich. I had it on a sesame seed bagel with a very tasty scallion cream cheese. What made it amazing was their use of perfectly ripened, sweet heirloom tomato, thinly sliced red onions, briny capers, delicious olive oil, and fresh dill, that gave perfect balance and perfect seasoning. The confections bakery also sits in King Harbor Plaza, but south of its sister between Glaze Craze & King Harbor Spa, serving all-day breakfast, burger, sandwiches, & pizzas with teas, coffees, & smoothies. According to Andrew, KWBS bakes bread for CBKW & CBKW bakes treats & doughnuts for KWBS. Still not quite understanding the difference because KWBS also serves breakfast but in sandwiches & french toasts, & paninis, sandwiches, & salads. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Initially focused solely on baked goods: artisan breads, scones, & Bake-At-Home gluten-free flour mixes, CBKW has evolved their menu to include sandwiches, pizza, quinoa bowls, & smoothies. The DineLA menu offered 3 options, & I deliberated between pancakes & chicken burger. I chose the Blueberry Cinnamon Pancakes because they looked fluffy & divine in the owner pic; it includes 2 Bacon Strips & 2 Eggs (cooked sunny-side up). And picked an Iced Strawberry Matcha Latte with less ice for my drink. It was quiet for an early lunch, & a couple of ladies walked in after I finished ordering. The bakery cafe has its cozy charm with a lovely black & white mural on the right long wall that's great for selfies or social posts. There's 4 2-tops & counter seating facing the plaza/parking lot, no restroom (assuming sister KWBS will let you use theirs), & plenty of parking though it'll be challenging during lunch & dinner rush with so many eateries in the plaza. Andrew makes an awesomely refreshing Strawberry Matcha Latte that rivals those from boba shops! Balanced sweetness with earthy, grassy matcha & generous dollops of real, sweet strawberry purée... soooooo good! Though smaller & a bit pricier than boba shops, it's a top-notch drink. My pancakes came shortly after; smells great but looks nothing like the pic, not fluffy, not golden. I love eating pancakes no matter the time of day, & these Blueberry Cinnamon Pancakes had comforting notes of cinnamony warmth with random sweet bursts of blueberries. The texture is notably moist & airy, & not reminiscent of typical gluten-free foods which are dry & dense. Typical bacon & eggs, nothing unusual... I prefer thick cut bacon & on the crisper side, but the eggs were perfectly cooked, the whites were set with a runny yolk & crisp, brown edges. It was just enough to satisfy my hunger & quench my thirst. I'm lucky that I don't have any food allergies or restrictions. People with celiac disease require a gluten-free diet, & cooking/baking challenges stem from the lack of gluten for moisture, elasticity, & structure. Customers should know that Confections by Kirari West is a dedicated gluten-free bakery, so there's no worries of cross-contamination. I don't know how Chef Hiro Saito creates this tasty, gluten-free deliciousness here & KWBS... he uses high quality rice flour instead of wheat to create his delectable pastries. On 07/2025, CBKW along with sister KWBS were both designated as a Blue Zones Project Approved Restaurant. This means they're certified to offer healthier, longevity-focused menu options based on plant-slant & whole-food principles like those in Okinawa, Japan or Sardinia, Italy. Quality ingredients... craftsmanship... & sincerity... check, check, & check!! Yeah, I got you in my corner Confections by Kirari West! Recommended: Iced Strawberry Matcha Latte, Blueberry Cinnamon Pancakes with Bacon & Eggs.

I had more than enough points to redeem a free pastry reward, and since I was just at nearby Del…read moreAmo Fashion Center, I figured why not use one of my free pastry rewards at this Paris Baguette? So first things first, be aware that this Paris Baguette is actually inside Hannam Chain Supermarket at Village Del Amo on the southwest corner of Torrance and Hawthorne. I didn't know it at the time, so I circumnavigated the plaza, looking for Paris Baguette signage like I usually do for the other standalone locations. After stopping my car somewhere in the plaza, I had to double-check the location to be inside the Hannam Chain Supermarket, which I had just literally passed by minutes ago. D'oh! lol I hadn't even heard of Hannam Chain Supermarket, so I took some time to explore the store even though Paris Baguette is literally closest to the entrance. The overall selection of baked goods kind of disappointed me because it felt like there were fewer choices of pastries here compared to the other locations I've been to before. However, oddly enough, they had more selections available! I think it's because they have time stamps listed on each pastry so that the pastries are inside the display case for no more than 4 hours. I thought the pastries would have remained good at least until the end of the day, so to hear of their 4 hour shelf life was a bit surprising to me. For the record, I've been to several other Paris Baguettes before, but this was the first time I noticed these time stamps. Even though the variety of pastries was not as much compared to the other standalone locations, I still had a difficult time deciding which pastry to get! However, I noticed a new flavor of a supreme croissant I hadn't seen before: pink velvet. I've heard of red velvet, but not pink, and presuming that this is a seasonal offering for Valentine's Day, I figured it would be the perfect opportunity to try one before that special day. They had other supreme croissant flavors like chocolate and salted caramel pretzel, but I'm sure those flavors will be offered for much longer than the pink velvet. I do remember trying a strawberry supreme croissant from the Cerritos location, so perhaps after Valentine's Day, that would take the place of the pink velvet. After grabbing one of two Pink Velvet Supreme Croissants left in the display case, I made my way around and to the register. Phone in hand, I had the Paris Baguette app pulled up to redeem my reward. Actually, a good part of me had thought that this location inside Hannam Chain wouldn't honor my reward because for Tous Les Jours, the locations inside Hmart wouldn't be eligible for earning points or redeeming rewards. Luckily, Paris Baguette is not Tous Les Jours, and I was able to redeem my reward with no trouble. The cashier who rang me up was pretty friendly as well. She placed my Pink Velvet Supreme Croissant in a small paper bag and wished me a good day. While there are a handful of tables inside the food hall portion of Hannam Chain, most were occupied by customers of other eateries, so I simply went outside to enjoy my free sweet treat. The pink velvet ruby chocolate that covered the top portion of the round croissant didn't have nearly as much flavor, though the Valentine's sprinkles on top did make for a nice touch at least. Also, the custard cream inside didn't taste like anything at all! It wasn't bad, but it makes me wonder how much more flavorful the salted caramel pretzel would have been. I'll be sure to get that on my next visit to a Paris Baguette! I got the croissant about 2.5 hours after they were prepared, so maybe they would have tasted better had I gone 2 hours earlier? Lastly, I'm kind of shocked that this is pretty much the only Paris Baguette location in the South Bay. With how expansive a city like Torrance is, you would think they'd have at least a second location elsewhere like in Hmart. Otherwise, the next closest location would be in Long Beach, which literally just opened at The Pike Outlets. Overall, it's not a bad Paris Baguette to go to, but if you live in the South Bay, you'd be better off downloading the 85C Bakery app over the Paris Baguette app as there are much more 85C locations in the area. Also, this Paris Baguette may not necessarily carry your favorite pastries here, so heed caution if you plan to go out of your way to visit this patisserie.
