Their new location a little further south on Broadway from the old one is lovely with lots of light, clean and spacious. The corned beef hash and the tater tot breakfast bowl were both delicious. Fresh ingredients, potatoes fried crispy, generous portions. The waffle was made with delicious batter and came with plenty of butter. Everything we ordered came out super fast and super hot (we've been to a number of 5 star breakfast joints in the area lately where our food was lukewarm at best). We came here and there was a line on a sunday. The wait was around 30 mins for a 3 top. I ordered the chicken tomato onion white egg omelet and added mushrooms. It was delicious. It came with your choice of toast and breakfast potatoes. I love that there garlic hot sauce is on the side of the table. Highly highly recommend using it on everything. Was in the mood for a midday breakfast and decided to try BQ based on the reviews. The server was friendly and prompt. I went simple with a traditional egg/meat breakfast. Mediocre at best. The food was lukewarm and was nowhere near the portion I was expecting per reviews. The hash browns aren't the shredded kind, (more like potatoes au gratin without the gratin) and were not crispy. The coffee was ok but not exceptional, but the side biscuit was pretty good. Should come with honey without asking. BQ served the purpose but for my $ I've had better. read more

I was working from my friends house and was looking for a breakfast spot that was walking distance away. As always, yelp never fails me. It was easy to find and we walked in on a Friday around 11:15. There were people in there but we were able to get a table right away. Moments after walking in the waitress came over with menus and asked us if we wanted some coffee. We said yes and she gave us a couple of minutes to look over the menu. We both picked really quickly what we wanted so that when she came back with the coffee we were able to order. I went for the Breakfast Queen Supreme. I got 2 eggs over medium, with sausage links, hash browns, and biscuits without the gravy. We had our breakfast in about 10 mins which was perfect. My eggs were perfectly cooked. I loved that the sausage links were crispy. The hash browns were also crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. I added a little bit of hot sauce and ketchup and they were delicious. Lastly, it brought two biscuits I wish that I would have been able to eat both of them but I couldn't, I only had one. The waitress suggested that I add honey to the biscuit and it was soft and a little sweet and salty. I was so satisfied. This is the perfect place for a great breakfast. I've had breakfast here maybe half a dozen times (don't live in the area or it would be more), but had never had lunch here before until this past week. I was in the area again and in the mood for some serious comfort food so the BQ came to mind. I decided on the 'Hot Roast Turkey Entree'. The menu isn't very descriptive for this item, but it comes with the following: a generous amount of sliced turkey and turkey gravy piled high on white bread (next time I'll ask for toast) with mashed potatoes (real, slightly chunky potatoes) with turkey gravy, mixed steamed vegetables (broccoli/carrots), and a small side of cranberry sauce. When I saw it, I didn't think I'd finish it, however... I'm posting a photo since there are so few lunch item photos for this place. All I can say is YUM! Breakfast Queen was recommend for me to try so in I went. Maps took me in the back way entrance which was in an alley but also parking lot. So it's a busy little area. The front entrance is on South Broadway if you can find parking. I noticed an outside dining area and then just to the left there are double doors to go in. I went inside to ask gor help in holding the doors for me and Costas was more then willing to wait for me. My 95 yr old senior was eager to eat. I absolutely love the atmosphere here. So diverse and all running smoothly. Cistas helped us to a table. The temperature of the restaurant was extremely warm like in a arboretum and I did have to remove my sweatshirt. We had a little spill of water and another waitress cleaned us up with no problem. Our waitress Lori for amazing and predicted when we needed more coffee without even asking and checking on us at appropriate times. I can tell the management clearly takes care of their employees merely by how they all helped each other and their kind and friendly manner. I ordered The Breakfast Queen Surpreme and it was was just flawless. The scrambled eggs were plentiful with a lightly buttery taste. The pancakes were sizeable and the bacon mmm mmmm yummy . I don't give out 5 stars often but this place totally rocks. True diner style breakfast joint with and amazing menu, skillets, omelets, south of the border favorites and even tater tot bowls. So many different things to try. Went with a breakfast favorite chili rellenos and eggs and it was awesome. The rellenos were hot and crispy, the green chili had the perfect amount of heat and was loaded with big chunks of pork. Sat at the counter and had great service. read more

There was approx. 10 minute wait for a midweek visit which I overheard the hostess say it was due to the holidays. This wasn't an issue for us as we got a preferred street-side window seat. What an incredible diner! We came from Houston, Texas for work and we stopped in for brunch. It hurts me to write this review when the service, ambiance, and the food is usually amazing. I frequent this restaurant a few times a month, and I recommend it highly to locals and people who visit out of town. Yet yesterday I had a very off putting experience with the hostess Melissa. We placed our names down on the waiting list and waited outside. Our names were called after about 30 mins and we quickly came to the hostess stand. By the time we reached the hostess stand( less than a minute) she had given away our seats, then placed blame on us for not reaching the stand quickly enough. I found it very unusual and unprofessional to place blame on the customer. I would have been fine with an apology, and waiting longer for a seat. I guess I'll have to sprint inside to get my seat next time. Otherwise highly recommend the food, unfortunate about the service that day. read more
