Parking was atrocious due to it all being homes in the area, it's more a walk to type place but we made it. Server didn't bring lemons for water as requested, the sourdough English muffin wasn't correct with the order, they brought sourdough toast instead. The smoked turkey Benedict was cold when brought to the table but the potatoes were hot so it must have sat there waiting for the potatoes. It was tasty but not sure it's 100% worth the hype from influencers and the portion of smoke turkey was small. The fans outside are more than adequate for the temps and will keep flies and napkins away it's a cute little place inside and out. They also advertise using metal straws which I love the idea of but ours were plastic.

Cliff Notes Price Range: $$ Parking: Not sure, we ubered Perk: Relaxation Non-Perk: Seats Ambiance: Like a beachy feel Dress: Comfy Noise: Med Temperature: A little cold Recommend: 110%. Response Time: Impressive Professionalism: 110% Date: 5/3/26 Dissertation: This place did not come to play with our appetites. It came fully dressed, emotionally prepared, and ready to ruin all future brunches for us. We ordered like a table of people who had no intention of making reasonable decisions: the Bae Mack, steak and eggs, Protein Love Omelet, Sweetie Cocky, chilaquiles, Linguistic Omelette, Hot Chick Benedict, and the cinnamon ginger coffee cake. Somehow, every single item showed up acting like the main character. No weak links. No sad little plate just trying to participate. The Bae Mack was indulgent in the best possible way, the steak and eggs understood the assignment, and the chilaquiles had enough personality to deserve their own social media account. The Hot Chick Benedict was spicy, saucy, and slightly dramatic, which I respect deeply. And that cinnamon ginger coffee cake? Absolutely rude. Deliciously rude. The kind of thing you take one bite of and immediately start questioning your self control. Kenzie was our waitress, and she rocked. Friendly, efficient, and somehow able to manage our table of brunch chaos without looking like she regretted her career choices. Overall, fantastic food, great service, and a menu that makes moderation feel like a personal attack. Highly recommend.

Came here the other morning with my friend and the food was exactly what we needed. It's a fun little cozy spot and we sat outside by the bar. Our server was super friendly and he gave us excellent recommendations for our Rooster Flight. The only thing I was sorta "eh" on was the Shrimp and Grits but overall everything hit the spot and I'd for sure come back!

I tried to like this place, I really did. Unfortunately this is nothing more than a glorified Dennys. Honestly nothing was horrible, but at the same time nothing was good. Bland average food. Service was mid. I ordered the American breakfast with a side of pancakes. My friend ordered the steak and eggs. She had to send it back because the steak was chewy and tough. 1 star for good café de olla

This was my first time at this location and we were stoked to arrive at 9am on a Sunday to a non-busy restaurant, beating the sunday brunch rush. Instead, our service was so delayed and absent we were forced into it becoming much busier which snowballed into every aspect falling short. The worst thing that can happen to you as a guest is being forced to send your meal back for being cold. It's really a lasting memory of a place which doesn't make you want to return. They seemed understaffed (at least front of the house), which is odd for a prime business day. Our server sat us inside at a dirty table she quickly brushed off. We assumed someone would come back to properly clean it but nope, we had to flag her down to request it. Although we indicated we were waiting for 1 more person, I would have thought waters would at least be brought over, or asked if we wanted to start with anything to drink as we waited. Got our drink orders in which caused another delay in putting in our food orders. Then... we sat. and sat and sat. I had to flag our server down for anything. What's the point of a bottomless drink if you can barely get a refill? I had a feeling once our orders came there would issues. Long delays usually mean my food arrives cold. And I'm sorry, its just unacceptable for breakfast food. I started with the potatoes and when I discovered they were cold, I was disappointed but wouldn't have said anything if the rest was fine. But nope, cold eggs. I refuse to eat cold eggs. This is a food runner problem; I don't blame the kitchen. My food sat on the counter too long (which is easy to happen with breakfast food). However with Breakfast in their name, I don't really have understanding. I had to once again flag down our absent server who came back huffy thinking I was impatient for the salsa I requested. This girl is just a really bad server. I won't blast her in my review, but if the business owner wants to contact me about it, I'm happy to discuss. NOW she became concerned and present. NOW she indicates she'll check back on us. The order was sent back and I don't know if it was remade or reheated, it was barely warm for second attempt. I'm over it at that point. Within several minutes it was as cold as the first delivery but I just ate it. Decided to eat the eggs (not great for leftovers) and save the potatoes/brussels to reheat to desireable temp as a meal at home. Needless to say I wasn't impressed with anything and woul'd return to this location. I've had better experiences at the PB location.

Breakfast Republic in North Park has easily become one of our absolute favorite breakfast spots. We keep finding ourselves coming back again and again, and it never disappoints! I'm completely obsessed with the Breakfast Sammy--it's hands-down the best breakfast sandwich I've ever had, and I basically order it every single time without fail. Perfectly cooked eggs, crispy bacon(THE BACON is the best bacon I've had!)... I could eat it every day. The French toast was solid--definitely tasty and a generous portion--but it was a tiny bit on the dry side for my taste. Still totally enjoyable, just could've used a touch more moisture or syrup love. Service is always friendly, the vibe is fun and lively (love all the chicken decor), If you're looking for a go-to brunch place in North Park, this is it. We'll be back (probably next weekend ). Highly recommend!

Great service, excellent food, and huge portions! Dined on the patio to enjoy the gorgeous California temps! Loved the ambiance with plenty of seating inside and outside. Nice for big groups as well. Had the American breakfast both times I dined here. The breakfast potatoes are so delicious with nice flavor. Also my bacon was perfectly crispy the way I like it :)

    Milk & Cereal Pancakes

I ordered these on takeout; so it wasn't the full dining experience due to it being so crowded and more loud inside BUT... I'm so disappointed. I saw these cereal milk pancakes all over instagram and wanted to try them for a while due to loving special jazzed up pancakes. They were a total letdown. Snooze pancakes literally run circles around Breakfest republics. They had false advertising about putting cream in the middle of the layers of pancakes (3) but there was none besides a thin layer on top. The cream wasn't very sweet at all, and basically tasted like a more melted version of marscapone without the sugar or vanilla. They're just bland pancakes made with a few fruity pebbles. I've gotta be honest in my reviews, and I would never order anything else from this place based on what I got. They missed the mark for such an overhyped trendy place. Overall, flavor was a 3 out of 10 and the pancakes were dry due to having not enough cream. Not enough sweetness to balance, and really just bland. I added two stars for the presentation because they do look very beautiful which is deceiving.

We love Breakfast Republic and order doordash 1-2x a week, but today, was beyond disappointing. We didn't receive any hollandaise for the Benedict. Paying $60 for breakfast and getting a dry benedict is ridiculous. It could have been that the doordash driver didn't pick it up, but it's more likely that BR didn't put it in the bag, because we also didn't receive the two berry jams we ordered. I get it. It's Father's Day and they're probably slammed. Won't stop us from eating there but, goddamn. Please train your staff better.

They don't take reservations so you have to put your name down and just wait. Let me warn you. .they give alot of food!! They have pancake and French toast flights for us greedy people! I ordered the buttermilk, strawberry cheesecake and cinnamon roll pancake, fennel chicken sausage omelet and the French toast flight. The star player on the pancake flight was their cinnamon roll with walnuts and glaze! You will not be disappointed! The omelet was pretty good, the chicken sausage was flavorfull. The potatoes are kind of bland though. The French toast flight was strawberry and marscopone, brioche and their mr Presley ( which is stuffed with peanut butter) and bananas on top. There were a couple of hiccups but I would go back. I mentioned no bacon on the mr Presley and sadly my mr Presley had no peanuts butter as well. The chicken sausage omelet had bacon in it also. But the waitress was nice enough to comp that meal. Overall I enjoyed my meal and will definitely come back.

Ask the Community - Breakfast Republic

    Are they available for dine-in?

Yes this location is! Social distancing is in effect :)

Is ordering take out an option? Can we order and pick up?

    Yea

    Do they accept reservations?

Under the picture of Christopher Walken it's posted: "Walkens Only" Lol However the Liberty Station location will text you when your table is ready so you can walk around…

Do you take Reservations for large party's?

Unfortunately not, we’re on a first come first serve basis and don’t accept reservations.

Do they have children's high chairs or a booster for toddlers?

They have BOTH! ( I have a short spouse who I prank by making sure their seat is one of these options.)

    Is this establishment dog friendly?

Yes! They have patio seating for dogs ! :)

Do they offer their coffee to go? Or can it only be ordered when seated? Their Mexican Mocha is amazing.

Yes! You can order coffee to go :-)

Do they do anything for birthdays (e.g. offer a free drink or short stack)?

    I don't think so. :(

Do they offer gluten free options?

    Yes they do

Anyone know what their peak hours are during weekdays, specifically Fridays?

i would say 830-12 weekends, fridays maybe 9-12? normally prime brunch hours.

What is the story on the Coffee, I forgot to ask when I was there? I bought a bag of beans and when I got back home (WA) I realized there is nothing written on it.. Where are the coffee beans from? Why the blend they chose? What's the story?

They have a custom blend from the awesome Cafe Moto in Barrio Logan...

Can I have a event here?

I think you totally could in the back patio upon asking management! The tables are close inside but since they have front and back outdoor seating, they could afford to hold a couple tables in the back on a weekday* since the weekend is way more…

Do they have a kids menu?

They don't but I was able to share my portion or split a portion between both my kids.

I made a reservation (just in case) because on a weekend you never know. Luckily, though, we arrived and there was plenty of available seating. My husband and I had our 10 and 5 year old with us and they easily accommodated us. It's a straightforward, but lovely menu that has a little bit for everyone. We enjoyed sharing a few plates and fresh oysters on the half shell. They do not have a kids menu, which was alright with us. Our daughter, who loves a good steak at 5 years old, enjoyed their pub steak and fries and shared a Mexican Coke with her brother. For my husband and I, we enjoyed sharing their beef tartare and to finish it off, a banana split. What we found so whimsical about Finca is their presentation.
