This place is always a hit for my family and me. It's always packed on a weekend morning and for good reason - try to go earlier if you can as it gets busy around 9am. It's a good family place as well - the staff are kind and the food comes out pretty quickly. Prices are great for the portions and overall quality is good. Favorites have been chicken and waffles, French toast, grits, and biscuits and gravy. One thing I didn't love was the eggs with cheese because they just melted the cheese on top as opposed to mixing it in - I'm sure you can ask for them to mix it in while cooking; I just didn't know it was going to be like that. Also, you can add an extra egg to your meal at no extra charge so that's a win. Good, old fashioned breakfast place (and the lunch meals I've seen have also looked very good). read more

This place is in a former Bojangles in Concord, and the worst thing I can say is that you really have to understand how to even get into the parking lot to get to the location. But once you have figured that out, you'll be very pleased with the homemade breakfast that they serve up inside as well as through the drive-through. I will say please be ready to have a little patience in the drive-through as your order is made fresh the moment you order it. It is not prepackaged pre-wrapped and ready to go as soon as you get there. I have been going to this Breakfastime for quite sometime now. It's no surprise as to why it's so packed every weekend, and the food quality is honestly very good. I will add one complaint that I'm sure most people have that is over one very popular dish, and I am confused as to why they would remove it from the menu, which is the chilaquiles. It is very delicious, and I sure do hope they bring this back soon. I'm rating 4 stars simply because I know most people share the same complaint and many of my friends and family chose to go there every weekend simply because of the chilaquiles. read more

She apologized for the wait. I ordered the Andrea big breakfast . The biscuits and gravy was delicious. I had to add salt and pepper to the gravy. The biscuits was super buttery, yessssss. Today, it was only a Wednesday at about 11, but they were packed with a short wait. Happily, the food and service was ON POINT! I ordered the 2 eggs over medium with a fried chicken breast, which was covered in sausage gravy, with a biscuit. We also shared a side of 2 PECAN pancakes- Dynamite! I'm usually a big fan of chicken and waffles, so I was hoping the chicken would be decent, but it was twice as large as expected, crispy, hot and delicious with the sausage gravy. I got the Mr. K's Special with 3 eggs, home fries, bacon, sausage gravy and pancakes with chocolate chips The pancakes were light and fluffy and so good!! The potatoes are mildly but deliciously seasoned. The gravy is not greasy and has a light sausage flavor that compliments the potatoes. You get 3 eggs any way you want them and 5 pieces of bacon (you can choose from a few breakfast meats). There was so much food I couldn't eat it all!! A bit smaller than the one on Copperfield but still very good. Three days ago, I dined at the other Breakfastime in Concord while my wife was driving back from Pittsburgh. She's not a Breakfast fan but when I found out they were so much more that just Breakfast, it opened up new possibilities. We made a run to Concord Mills to pick up a Christmas present for one of the Grand Kids and I do mean 2018. My wife likes to start early. Also picked up new photo editing Software for one of my computers. In any case, time for lunch and we came here. This location used to be another restaurant that has been repurposed to a Breakfastime restaurant so it's confined to the space available from the original. In other words, it's smaller that the one on Copperfield. Got lucky and scored a parking spot right at the front door. Had about a 20 minute wait but it was a very well managed wait so can't complain. Seated us in a nice comfortable booth that fortunately was a bit out of the way. I'm on crutches so they get a bit awkward in high traffic area. Server was there shortly with menu's and to take our beverage orders. My wife ordered coffee and I ordered half and half tea. Even at that, the half and half was still way too sweet. I hate to think what the regular sweetened tea would taste like. My wife ordered a bowl of the Soup of the Day which ended up with four choices. She chose the Vegetable. To go with that, she also ordered a side of Fried Okra and a side of Fruit. I had the Country Fried Steak with Sausage Gravy with eggs. Normally you get two eggs but you can upgrade to three eggs at no charge. For sides, I ordered Hash-browns and Whole Wheat Toast. My wife's meal was incredible. The Soup was full and rich and the Fruit was a work of art. My meal was pretty good but the Hash Browns were premade, probably by a food service company and then just thrown on a flat top. Steak was a bit dry but the Sausage Gravy helped. Service was good and high marks there. A previously mentioned, a bit smaller than the other so not as open a feel but I loved the whimsical touch of the wall art. WOW! I brought my elderly/disabled aunt to breakfast here during a busy time. She has trouble walking. Jennifer went above and beyond as a hostess. There were no tables available by the entrance without waiting 20+ minutes. She found us a table by a back entrance and allowed my aunt to enter through that back entrance to save her from having to walk so far. Not only that, but she helped my aunt to the table and told me to go ahead and park my car & she would help her get seated. She also offered to come back & help my aunt to the restroom if she needs it. I have never had someone go so far above & beyond with making sure that my aunt could comfortably come out to eat without fear of falling or embarrassment of not being able to make it to the table. Thank you so much Jennifer!! We will never forget your kindness. (She is a server who was just filling in as a host, so if you come here, try to request her as your server!!) Fast, friendly, and cheap. I mean really really cheap. I got a 8oz Ribeye topped with three over-medium eggs, hash browns, toast, and a biscuit for THIRTEEN BUCKS! What more can you ask for?? This is my second or third visit to a Breakfastime restaurant, but the first at their Concord location. I can't remember which restaurant used to be here but the building itself is pretty old. Still, they have done a good job with upkeep and it has an old-time diner feel to it. When me and my Wife walked in on a breezy Thursday morning, the hostess immediately seated us and got us some drinks. Be prepared for a overabundance of menu choices. There's a huge list of specials on page one, another page of lunch items (both breakfast and lunch served all day), omelettes, french toast, waffles, etc etc etc! I'm a sucker for Steak and Eggs just about anywhere, and the steak used can make it a great dish or an awful mis-steak (see what I did there? eh? I'll see myself out). I'm pleased to say that their Ribeye is pretty good quality. Probably choice-cut, a little on the thin side, but full of flavor and just the right amount of fat left on the edge. My eggs were cooked to a perfect over-medium, and the hash browns were spot on. I mean, let's be honest. If you're going to call yourself Breakfastime and you don't nail breakfast, you're going to have a bad time. Another noteworthy addition is they they managed to take a relatively thin cut of steak and get a good sear while still keeping it medium. Not medium well, just a solid medium, exactly what I wanted! Just to drive home the fact that they're a super cost effective restaurant: My wife's Grits bowl with two eggs and a coffee was something like five dollars. The coffee is literally bottomless here too. There were at least two servers solely walking the floor looking for coffee mugs to top off.
