The outside is nice and pretty. But the interior is very Miami club gig--everything is plastic with a gold trim. They have a DJ playing so it's a bit louder. The menu is far too big and you can feel the ramifications in the quality. A Thai Chicken Salad looked wilted. A burger was basic and I'm guessing very much not made in house. The service is fascinating. There are more people working there just standing around then eating. Each person assigned to their one job. One person takes the order, one brings your food, another is the designated check doer--everyone has a single job and no one's job to actually provide service. There is outdoor dining (dog friendly). But it might take a bit longer than waiting for an indoor table on the weekends. Service was really fast and food was amazing! We got the banh xeo tacos which were filled with pork and shrimp, the ube pancakes which were the right amount of sweetness, and the garlic noodles which were perfectly al dente. New restaurant in Los Gatos - reminds me of a Vietnamese version of one of my favorites, Sweet Maple in Palo Alto! Ambiance and service was great - Raymond was super kind to our large party and checked up on us throughout our meal. I'd come back just for the crab cake benedict. Food was amazing. Unique style of menu. Nothing like I've seen or tasted before. Service could have been a little better as we had to wait a bit for our order to be taken as well as for the check. I'd say it was due to the flow of how busy it was but the servers didn't even bother to communicate at all as they walked by our table. Went for a Saturday Brunch and was very impressed with this new spot! We ordered A LOT of food. For 4 girls we got: pho poutine, avocado toast, noodles with prawns added, sobe noodle salad, RBF (fried chicken and pandan waffles), banh xeo tacos, and coconut pancakes. My favorite was the pho poutine and noodles. The RBF and Ube pancakes were a close second. Least favorite was the banh xeo tacos. It was the one dish we all wouldn't order again. Place is very nice. They have a DJ. It does get loud though so don't expect to have intimate conversations here. I do wish it was a bit more quiet or better sound absorption so I didn't have to scream to talk. read more

We walked into Breaking Dawn excited to try their food around 10:45AM and waited in line to sign up for the Yelp wait-list. In hindsight, we should have just taken bar seating available as the turnover was quick. However, at the time the wait was estimated at 11-25 minutes. We knew that the time would probably be another 15 minutes beyond the estimation so we signed up and walked around the area while we waited. We decided to wait outside at the 30 minute mark expecting to be seated soon as we were second in line. As we waited we kept seeing tables getting filled and more names being added to the Yelp list. We asked the hostess and she told us that these were reservations which was odd because to our understanding the restaurant didn't take reservations? To top it all off, we saw the waiter giving away outdoor seating to other people waiting outside, asking them if they wanted to sit outside and that he'd take them to an open table. These two groups were obviously not the one group of 6 ahead of us so we were both extremely confused. We finally got seated after over an hour at 12:15PM. Overall the food was okay, we had the Pho Poutine and Fried Chicken and Pandan Waffle with a Vietnamese Coffee. It was a bit salty and the waffle felt soggy with our food coming out at odd times. I don't think this is a normal experience for most but the odd seating time felt extremely disorganized and off-putting. read more

Came around 10am on a Sunday and it was pretty packed already but we got seated quickly. The service was great and the owner is super involved so things run smoothly. The feel of the place is lively, almost giving a Great Gatsby vibe and it's perfect for friends, family, or a date. There's also bar seating and outside seating. The food did not disappoint as we got the Vietnamese coffee, Ube Pancakes, RBF, loco loco, garlic noodles, and fosizzle hot plate. The plating is great and we received our food quickly. All the food is good but my favorite is the RBF (chicken and pandan waffle) and garlic noodles. The location is great and I think that this place is a great addition to Los Gatos if you're looking for Asian fusion brunch! The only thing is you need to get here early especially if you're a bigger party because this place is up and coming so the wait can go up to over an hour, but it's worth it!! read more

Breaking Dawn was just a great experience overall. The customer service was really what puts this place over the top. It felt like they genuinely enjoyed serving (we sat at the bar). The jams were jamming, so the vibes were vibing. If you try the Asian fusion dishes and pass on the chicken and waffles, you'll be good. Long waits for parties larger than 2. Thankfully we got right in at the bar and were in and out in under an hour. read more

Really disappointing experience overall. I ordered the "Welcome to America" breakfast that oddly came with a huge chunk of toasted dry baguette. No butter or jam. When I asked for butter and jam, they stated they did not have jam. Welcome to America? I had to ask for ketchup for the overly deep fried, dry potatoes. My scrambled eggs tasted like they were made with sour milk or vinegar? Inedible and under seasoned. Had to ask for salt and pepper. My friend ordered the Banh Mi sandwich and she said it was very good. We ordered black tea which was delivered in a single cup with the tea bag already in the water. Had to ask for milk and sugar, which oddly came in little brass dishes that you could not pour from. Then had to ask for a spoon. Hint, when someone orders tea, provide it with milk and sugar and a spoon, or at least ask the customer if they want that? This review is for the management really. We observed multiple employees standing around, one checking their phone, while we sat waiting at our table to order with menus our closed. It seems all the effort on this place was put into the decor, which is very interesting. But it was one of the worst breakfast meals I have had in some time. read more

Most poppin restaurant in Los Gatos and I'd say San Jose! The food is an incredible combination of Asian fusion sure to blow you away! Some of the best Asian fusion I've had and the golden ambiance of the restaurant is unforgettable. Heard this place is hot so come to try. Well we end up with disappointment. Food is not bad we ordered garlic noodles with chicken and RBF. But nothing special for the price charged. When I got the bill, I pointed out they charged more for the chicken as the menu says $5 not $8. Server is polite and after checking the menu thinking I was right. The food was great and loved the aesthetic. I would say it does seem a bit disorganized. It was very crowded and people couldn't enjoy their meal without crowds of people coming in at once waiting to be seated. The running of staff and miscommunication from the front of the house to the back was a bit annoying. (They kept running out of dishes after the food already been ordered) I brought my friend for her Birthday and unfortunately they ran out of the meals she wanted to try. We appreciated the discount on our check. The staff were very nice and attentive, but I'd definitely critique the organization of how things were operating. It removed the feeling of being comfortable and enjoying your meal because of the chaos around us. The DJ was great, definitely was a nice touch. I would love to come back but maybe if they required reservations to dine there or even a more comfortable outdoor waiting area. read more
