What a really cute brunch spot What we ate: - Jax loco moco: Very hearty and filling. The gravy really clinched this dish - Adobo breakfast bowl: This was so so good. The garlic rice and the tender pork. The side salad was nice and refreshing - Ube pancake stack: Definitely get this as a sweet table treat. The pancakes were thick and fluffy. The ube whipped cream made it sweet enough, it almost didn't need the syrup. I lived the coconut and fresh berries Pros - What an amazing Yelp find! My friends and I were just visiting the area and looking for a brunch spot and this really hit the spot - Loved the Filipino flavors sprinkled throughout the menu, not only the dishes but also the drinks - Inside decor was very girly and very cute. Very insta worthy - Patio seating - Clean bathrooms - People coming by to just grab a coffee - Servers were friendly - Large paid parking lot if you didn't want to look for street parking - Price was right Cons - The only downside for me is that I don't live anywhere near this place! I wish I did! Would I come again? If I was in the area, yes
Our first visit to Breezy was absolutely worth it! We waited about 50 minutes on a Sunday morning, which we expected for a popular brunch spot. What truly made the experience stand out was the exceptional hospitality. The owner went out of her way to rearrange the patio seating so we wouldn't be sitting directly in the sun. That level of genuine care and attention is what sets this place apart from so many others. The food was excellent. We ordered the Loco Moco, Avocado Toast, Ube Pancakes, and the Ube French Toast. While everything was delicious, the Ube French Toast is hands down the star of the menu, it's a must-order! From the friendly hostess who greeted us to our attentive waitress, the service was outstanding from start to finish. Great food, exceptional customer service, and a welcoming atmosphere made for a wonderful brunch experience. Highly recommend Breezy!
Saw this in SocMed and decided to give it a go. They close at 2pm and when we got there around 130-ish; they were not letting people in because of the wait so we decided to come back a day later much earlier this time. Still had to wait a long time but it was worth it. Ordered Ube Pancakes, Loco Moco (?), Mango Matcha Drink, Ube Matcha Latte, and had to try some pastries. Food was bomb! The gravy on the Loco Moco (or something like that) was perfect! Love the creaminess yet did not feel heavy. The portions were a bit more but it was that good that finished it. Lol. Beef patty is pure beef and may seem bland but it goes really well with the gravy. The egg is a must! Ube pancakes were good! Taste is not overwhelmingly sweet, it was just right. Could not finish this and had to take it to go. The drinks were really good. It's made in front if you, we were seated at the bar and we could see everything, lol. The pastry that we bought from the day before were ok - it was the Spanish bread and ensaymada. The one star less is for customer service. It seems a hit or miss with the staff. Most of the staff were really cool but there were a trickle that was just meh. Almost forgot, the place is pink! Cute decor, loved everything about it. When checking it out, pkan ahead because they do close early.
Why was the best Filipino spot I've been to in awhile!! I especially loved their longanisa and matcha drinks. We traveled on the metro to SJC just to check this place out. Tons of people did the same on social and thought why not. As a Filipino, we don't often find places that do our food justice but this was one of them. Did we love the long wait? No. Waited a little over an hour, but it was well worth it. We did French toast and the longanisa plate and both were delicious. Didn't think I'd like the Ube whipped cream for the French toast but it tasted amazing. Not too sweet and just right with the dish. The loco moco was good, but wasn't in love with the gravy. This one could've bee more authentic and although it wasn't my favorite I think it's a good shareable item just to try. I also tried their bibingka which they later told me wasn't made fresh by them, and that they have a local bakery bring it in, but it was still so soft and tasted pretty authentic. We also go their matcha drinks and those were excellent. They had ample seating inside and outside, but only had two bathrooms which was odd. We always had to wait in a line for the restroom, but there was plenty of lounge seating for groups waiting to be sat which I'm sure big families would appreciate. It's located on the corner of the popular street in SJC so it was easy to walk around while we waited for our table to be ready. Make sure you stop here for some filipino bites and try a little bit of everything. The staff was super friendly and everyone was nice from the host, baristas and wait staff. Very impressed with the aesthetics here as well. Loved the plants and think it gave the place such warmth.
I came here with my parents, husband, and son for breakfast on a Friday. We got there right as the restaurant opened and got seated right away. We had read all the hype about the restaurant and wanted to try it for ourselves. I ordered the adobo breakfast burrito which really was delicious. The pork adobo was so flavorful and balanced by the garlic rice and scrambled eggs. It was so filling that I brought half home with me! I got to try my husband's choice which was the s'mores French toast. His was very rich but delicious as well- had all the flavors of s'mores with the Nutella sauce, toasted marshmallows, and crushed graham crackers! My dad ordered the wings, which was a unique pick for brunch, but wonderfully done. Perfectly crisp with a savory but also sweet glaze. We also all liked our drinks too - so pretty but tasted great as well. Everything was delicious. Since this place is popular, I would recommend coming early if you don't want to wait!
So so yummy!! All the food we ordered was delicious and such a fun fusion of Filipino and Hawaiian. Be prepared to wait on the weekends right now - apparently everyone knows how good this place is. The staff is super friendly and helpful with recs. Very fun vibes but it can get loud since it's so busy right now! Highly recommend!!
Breezy Café was such a great experience! The coffee was absolutely amazing, the ambiance was stellar, and the service was wonderful. Everyone was so friendly, attentive, and welcoming. I ordered the Easy Breezy and it was so good that I completely forgot to take a picture before finishing it! Definitely a spot I'll be coming back to.
Food delicious, attentive, very efficient service and a casual ambiance all being superior level at Breezy. Wow! So flavorful, tender pork in the Adobo Chiliquiles! I asked the server to split the order so that I could share with my friend as we are both small eaters. My husband enjoyed the Avocado toast. The four of us were fortunate to get a table for a Sunday breakfast to finish in time to attend 11 AM Catholic Mass at the Basilica near by. Parking is available in the paid lot behind the building.
Visited on a Saturday around noon. It's quite popular and can be really busy, so be prepared for a long wait. My party of 3 probably waited for 30-45 mins but we were in no rush at all so we were willing to wait. They use your phone number at check in, which is convenient because we were able to walk around the vicinity to visit the neighboring shops. The aesthetic is really cute! Welcoming and cozy vibes with lots of pink accents and touches of greenery. There is also seating outside. I love the seats in the waiting area. I will say it can get really loud inside where it almost felt like I was yelling to talk to my party. Keep in mind if you come with children, please be respectful of other parties. This is not against the establishment but another party brought a bunch of kids and allowed them to be menaces. No form of discipline from the adults in the party whatsoever. I felt bad for the workers. The staff here are very friendly and welcoming. I forgot our waitress's name but she was nice and was attentive to our party. Everything that we ordered was good! I got the adobo breakfast burrito and opted for chicken. Very flavorful! I will say just a little nitpick is that parts of the rice were slightly hard but still chewable. My burrito probably got rice that got cooked a little too long. We also got the guava breeze matcha, which was good. I love the guava flavor but the matcha kind of faded in flavor. I love matcha and I tend to like mine strong so take this with a grain of salt. My adult nephew got the calamansi refresher, which we all tried and agreed it was a little sour to our liking. Overall, great place to visit if you're in the area. I wouldn't mind coming back. I'm sad to see that they got rid of the crab cakes Benedict but at least there are other items on the menu to enjoy.
Arrived from LA nice and early on a Sunday morning. I parked in a paid parking station around the corner from the restaurant. I happily only had a short 10-15 minute wait to be seated. The waiting area outside was pleasant and the excitement built as I was texted of my entry, and escorted to my table - next to the lovely social media friendly breezy display. The restaurant is a hive of activity, spacious, light and pretty; beautifully designed and coordinated colors and imagery definitely transported me to an island paradise. I even loved the menu design. Servers were super friendly and attentive and my order was delivered at a pretty impressive pace. Overall, everything I ordered looked great and very appetizing. I ordered three separate Pancakes - Ube, Banana, and Blueberry flavors. All were good. The stars of each pancake type were found inside the batter which I appreciate. My fav was probably the Banana as I enjoyed the accompanying quality Cream combination. The Adobo Breakfast Burrito was great, although maybe a little small for the price and for being an item of a Filipino/ Hawaiian influenced restaurant. It looked comparatively bigger on the tv screen that continually played menu item videos throughout my visit. Having said that, there was a decent portion of Meat inside and I did enjoy it. The Honey Basil Ribeye Bowl was tasty and a decent portion, although a lil pricey. The Beef, Garlic Rice and Pickled Onions were a great combination of flavor. So overall this place is not cheap, but is full of lovely designed ambience, good vibes, quality food and service. I love the fusion of Filipino, American and Hawaiian Food and Vibes. Found right in the center of beautiful San Juan Capistrano, I highly recommend a visit if staying in town, or visiting from the north as I did.
Unfortunate review today. Came on a weekend to check out some Filipino/ Islander Breakfast food after a long train ride. With all the options in town we chose Breezy to see if it lives up to the Social Media hype and support Filipino business. 1 hour wait time before getting seated (no reservations available) Decent service the host was friendly but a lot of the servers did not look happy doing service, the vibe didn't feel inviting to enjoy a meal, no smiles and just felt rushed and lazy busy. Which was odd it being a Filipino type establishment which usually cultivates a really inviting and welcoming environment to enjoy food. The Aesthetic was there good for photos with an all pink motif and islander vibes. We got a few items off the menu and unfortunately the food didn't hit the mark and the food was served COLD! The Ube pancakes have a Ube whip only on top (NO Ube whip between each pancaket) that barely tastes of Ube "bland". NO Ube flavor. The crème sauce had a lot more flavor but other than that the pancake itself was also bland, you have to add a lot of syrup to enjoy. The garlic rice... NO flavor of garlic and just full of pepper and the rice was very grainy and hard. The longanisa bowl barely had any rice in it, you can see in the photo maybe 3 small spoons of rice. The longanisa itself was very cold, dry and almost taste fully cooked but had okay flavor. The wings were cooked well but again very heavy on the pepper flavor again like the rice. Also the best dish being not a Filipino dish was the eggs Benny, nice thick cuts of ham. Also the calamansi refresher was flat and highly artificially flavored. If you love the aesthetic vibes and like to take photos this is the place for you but if you're longing for a good Filipino inspired meal this isn't it. I appreciate the attempt on a modern take on Filipino food but don't recommend esp. for the cost and wait time. Good for connivence for its location.
Good food, extremely subpar service. Came here on a Sunday for brunch. It was about a 40 minute wait for a party of two. We sat at the bar; huge mistake. Despite being seated at the bar and making eye contact with multiple people at the bar for about 15 minutes, no one said a word to us, gave us waters, nothing! One of them finally took our order after those 15 minutes. We ordered the calamansi drink because they were out of the mango guava. Even that didn't come out for 10 minutes until we asked for it, and the lady that I asked seemed super annoyed that I asked for it and didn't apologize for the delay. In the meantime, the couple that was seated next to us had come after us, yet they got their matcha drink before we got a drink that was literally syrup and sparkling water. We got the ube French toast and loco moco. Both were tasty and I was happy with the food. The server that dropped off the food was also very nice (she wasn't one of the people at the bar). Only one person came to check on us, and he wasn't even someone that was at the bar. The three people the bar couldn't care less and never checked on us, filled our waters, etc. To ask for our check, my friend had to practically scream for attention. Not coming back here unless they fix their staff issues. They're clearly miserable. Don't take it out on paying customers.

Great example of a good place that messed things up by expanding without the ability to do so. I used to like this place, but it's now just disorganized. It took 20 minutes waiting in line to tell us there would be a longer wait to get a table. And service was slooooow. Sorry, but you lost this customer. read more

Rating: 3.5 stars Big con: on a Saturday morning they were out of espresso...seems like a breakfast place to be out of espresso is a bit crazy so that was a bummer not to be able to try their lattes. But other than that after a 30 minute wait we were able to be seated. The adobo burrito was pretty yummy and the honey basil rib bowl also. Great spot with fusion island brunch. Not a whole ton of seating so I'm sure it gets busy on the weekend but I went during the week and there was space. Food was amazing. I'm definitely going to be craving their garlic rice so I'll have to come back again with some friends. My best friend highly recommended this Filipino fusion restaurant, so we decided to give it a try. I just love the pink walls, cool mural / artwork, plants and wooden decor. It has this California summer vibe. You pay at the cashier first and then get seated after. We had the following: * Berry Refresher - This has berries, house syrup mixed with carbonated water. Definitely refreshing! * Jax Loco Moco - Hamburger patty with Breezy loco moco gravy with egg (mine was over hard) and steamed rice. The gravy really made this dish stand out. I would order this again. Big serving too. A 5-star dish! * Mushroom Avocado Toast - Sourdough bread with avocado spread, mushrooms, basil, cotija, poached eggs, Breezy hollandaise sauce, drizzled with balsamic sauce. Healthy and yummy. * Ube Pancake - This has coconut flakes, coconut cream, mixed berries and ube cream on top. Simply delicious! I also like their dinnerware sets especially the pink plates and golden cutlery. Love the extra nice details. They also have great customer service. Breezy recently expanded and remodeled the interior of their restaurant. The staff greeted us upon entering and was very kind, attentive, and knowledgeable about their menu. My favorite menu item we tried was the ube pancake. The pancake was fluffy, the toppings were generous with fruit, and the ube cream and condensed milk were not too sweet imo. The garlic soy wings were cooked nicely but the seasoning was way too salty for my bf and I. The honey basil ribeye bowl had a delicious rice and sides but unfortunately the ribeye was overcooked making the meat very dry and tough. It would be nice if you could just order the steak whole and ask for it to be cooked rare, medium, or well done etc. rather than have it served in sliced cubes at the restaurant's standard doneness. Lastly I ordered their guava matcha as a dessert to go and it was very unique. Next time I would ask for it less sweet because the drink is definitely on the sweeter side. I personally would have liked a stronger matcha presence but if you aren't the biggest fan of the earthy flavor matcha has but want to try a unique matcha I recommend this drink. read more

The food here is undeniably tasty and the vibe is super cute. But the service left a lot to be desired. The "please wait to be seated" sign was a lil confusing since it's actually counter service, and the staff (especially the guy with curly hair and blue eyes) felt cold and unwelcoming throughout our visit. We ordered the Easy Breezy combo with longanisa, ube French toast, honey basil ribeye bowl, guava juice, and an ube latte, which came out to around $76 something. My friend enjoyed her combo, the French toast was crispy and delicious (just needed more ube cream), the latte lacked flavor, but the ribeye bowl? Total flavor bomb. Sweet and savory ribeye, garlicky rice, and that lil salad with pickled onions brought a fresh, tangy contrast. I don't know what dressing they used, but it was fire. As for table side service I can't speak much to that. It's a fast casual restaurant, so they only drop the food and don't come back. Don't expect anyone to check on you or give you refills here. Just something to note. Overall, the food was delicious, and the island reggae music and aesthetic created a great atmosphere. But the service and energy from staff didn't match that, and honestly, that matters to me. Amazing Service & The Best French Toast Ever! We had such a wonderful experience here! The manager kindly accommodated our small group of four and even opened up the closed outdoor seating so we could have a quiet little meeting. That gesture alone made us feel incredibly valued. Thank you, Anthony. While waiting for the restroom, I happened to chat with one of the waiters Tri/Dimitri about French toast. I mentioned how no restaurant has ever managed to serve me crispy French toast, even if the restaurant calls it crispy, they always come out soggy or stale. He confidently told me they had the best French toast, and to my surprise, he brought me the most beautiful plate of crunchy, golden perfection to taste. The sample was very generous and had to thank him here since I didn't get to personally thank him and let him know he was right. It was absolutely delicious, unlike anything I've had before. Between the thoughtful manager and the attentive waiter, the service here was truly outstanding. I left not only full but genuinely happy. This place deserves all the praise, it's rare to find a restaurant that combines such kindness with incredible food. read more

I love when an early Sunday morning stroll ends up with brunch... especially if you're walking around San Juan Capistrano. This place has been on my radar for a while but there seems to be a long wait every time. We came around 9AM & did not have to wait for a table. Seemed like a small restaurant from the front but they have additional dining area in the back. Filipino fusion / inspired dishes & drinks. For this visit we decided on the Longanisa Breakfast Bowl & the Ube French Toast. Quite surprised with how delicious everything was. The presentation matched the taste! I get the hype. The longanisa bowl came with garlic fried rice - I am drooling. I even asked if I could just order their rice & the vinegar dip it came with. The ube french toast is so good. Breezy is a cute ambiance with island music. Da kind vibe you want on a beautiful Saturday mid-morning. Although there's usually a wait at this popular brunch place, you can walk around Los Rios St. while on the waiting list, which is nicely organized by entering your name and phone number on their tablet. And when they're ready to seat you, you order and pay at the counter first. This is nice because you don't have to wait to get your bill. The wait for your food to come is quick. The staff are friendly, helpful and welcoming. What we ordered: Gotta have the garlic rice for breakfast if your Filipino...LOL if you love ube gotta try the ube pancake it was so yummy garnish with fruits and mint. I ordered the Honey Basil Ribeye Bowl and the Easy Breezy with Longanisa and garlic rice. And of course, get the vinegar for your side. I also ordered the chilled Calamansi Refresher to drink. I'm so glad I found this place! On a Saturday afternoon around lunch it was pretty crowded, waited about 30+ mins however I think a lot of people in front of us left the waitlist. You can either order at the register then sit or sit at your table then get up to order. We got the pork adobo breakfast bowl and ube French toast. Both so delicious!! My boyfriend got the breezy latte - a bit sweet/creamy and weak in coffee taste but I enjoyed it as I don't love strong coffee. We cleaned the plates off completely. Servers were very kind although they seemed a bit understaffed. Inside is very cute and aesthetic and I love the pink cups and decor. Would definitely come back to try the other dishes. read more

Quick update for, Breezy: We went for Mother's Day today. It was packed and so busy. Luckily this time around there was a waitlist at the door. We had like a 103 minute wait for six, so we took the family across the street and did a tour at The Mission. We didn't mind the wait at all. It was a beautiful day, so I was happy to walk around with the kids. The food was delicious as always, staff friendly and amazing. The owner, Jasmin, was there. She greeted us like she usually does, something my kids noted and they appreciate her for it. She is so personable. Mothers received a beautiful handmade candle in of course PINK. The service here alone deserves a 10/10! We think he was the owner, but the frontman of the house was so kind to my family and I. Made sure we were taken care of and even gave my dad a whole side of gravy to take home! The food was phenomenal, but you have to remember that it's Filipino/Hawaiian fusion. Don't expect the most authentic flavors (besides the longanisa was pretty traditional). My burrito had great flavor balance and was not greasy at all! Eazy Breezy Cozy breakfast boutique located in historic downtown Capistrano. Enjoy the relaxing environment while eating delicious American food with a Filipino twist. Food ordered: 1.) scrambled eggs with chicken sausage and country potatoes and one pancake-chicken sausage was just okay and the egg was minimal but tasty. Loved the pancake (it's huge) 2.) loco moco- delicious, flavorful, sauce was good even though not traditional. 3.) veggy scrambled egg with toast 4.) caramel and vanilla latte coffees- if you like a sweeter coffee then order the lattes. I prefer a more coffee forward flavor. The coffee was a good temperature to drink right away although I prefer a hotter coffee to start. Other: -$$$$ -parking lot in the back; pay for parking 2$/hour, 4 hour max -credit,cash and tap -bathrooms inside -great location to walk around -indoor and outdoor seating - crowd started rolling in at 9:30 and by 10 it picked up. read more

Highly recommend Breezy! This amazing Filipino inspired hometown food is the ultimate comfort food and gives you a hug from the inside! I enjoyed the service and was greeted by the host to place my order. Diners order their food and drinks before sitting down. Delicious Honey Basil Rib Eye Bowl with a sunny side up fried egg hits the spot! Not too sweet! Rib eye was cooked perfectly! The Adobe Burrito has a good portion size and packed with flavor! The Chai Tea Latte is very good but on the small size. The restaurant is not small but it can get busy with large groups and there can be a wait. Breezy gives ice tea refills and they do a great job on cleaning off the tables quickly. Not dog friendly and only service animals allowed inside but they do have two tables on the front patio dogs can accompany their owners. read more

BBL COFFEE is the best coffee I have ever had. The vibes are immaculate! The staff is so friendly and attentive. I can't wait to bring all my friends and family to this place. I ordered a Longanisa Bowl (not pictured because I devoured it) and it was delicious and my over easy eggs were cooked to perfection. Such a cute Filipino fusion spot and you would have wished you visited this spot sooner! read more

Came highly recommended by a local. I loved the ube pancakes and garlic fried rice with longonisa! I added an extra egg. Their work flow at the register was confusing with no direction except from other customers giving mixed signals. I was told you're supposed to check in and then when called you can come to the register to order before being seated. I recommend the outdoor seating if you have kids. It's great people watching and you can contain them near the fencing. read more

Fantastic breakfast place for some Hawaiian staples. The avocado toast was very flavorful, the herbs and the mushrooms complemented it well. The portugese sausages were delicious too. We also liked the lattes. The service was quick but you should prepare for lines on the weekend. read more

I'm not easily impressed and I can say that our experience at Breezy was wonderful. The interior was very cute and girly, though I will say it's quite loud due to the small space. We arrived at 11 am on a Sunday and were seated quickly. We were seated at a table by the front window and the view of the street was nice. The people working were really friendly. Multiple people stopped by and asked whether we had everything we needed. By 11:30, there was a long line of people waiting for tables, but it seemed to move relatively quickly. Now, on to the food. We ordered ube pancakes, a breakfast burrito, avocado toast, and my mom got a breakfast combo that I didn't catch the name of. Everything was delicious and servings were big! On top of tasting good, the presentation was visually pleasing. Great experience overall. read more

No unfortunately not. My son has a wheat allergy and he couldn’t enjoy any of the waffles/pancakes/french toast so he had the rice based bowls instead (which were really good). If you are really sensitive with wheat or celiac, I believe many things…
