My dad and I had breakfast here on a Monday morning before we headed home from our trip. We drove past this place the day before and it was packed, so we wanted to see what all the hype was about. I can confirm, it is worth the hype. Highly recommend getting the cured ham breakfast, it is so good and high quality pork. I got the grits and hash browns, could've done without they were just ok. The sweet tea was everything I admire about the south. Service was great and the interior was recently remodeled. Not a ton of seating and parking, so just keep that in mind for peak hours. Brevard Diner is everything you want in a diner experience. The menu is huge, the service is excellent, and the food hot and well prepared. The classic rock was a nice touch. So happy to find a place that understands the value of traditional diner food - as Asheville restaurants tend to be nothing but 'unique spin', and it gets very dull. A big improvement over the old Huddle House. The food was good. My Reuben sandwich was well prepared and hot off the grill, it could have used some thousand island dressing. Our server checked on us regularly. I thought the prices were a bit high for a diner but I was happy with my meal and the service. read more

Been there at least half dozen times since they opened. Always received prompt service and short wait times on food. Food is typical diner food. Portions are big for the money. Had no issues with the owners or any of the staff. They have had some growing pains but seem to be adapting quickly. Great to have them in Brevard, great place with a varied menu that is much better than the numerous fast food options in town. read more

Wow- I'm shocked at the 4 star reviews of this place. This is the most unsanitary place! I voiced my concerns on the way out after paying my bill for the food I didn't eat. I actually watch my burger sit on the line for 10-15 mins before making it to my bar seat. My wife's salad sat in a pool of water in the bowl. They explained the salad is well washed:) okay, I guess at least she had a clean salad. I don't think the staff really cared much about the food they serve- just a churn and burn spot. Surprisingly excellent food. I did not expect that at a small town diner. My brother and I both had the gyro for lunch. It had seasoned lamb meat in a soft pita. The pita had a slightly crispy edge and the tzatziki sauce was flavorful. Two days later we returned to try the lasagna and fettuccini alfredo. They were on par with Maggiano's. Both dishes came with a crispy breadstick and side salad. Portions were huge. Service was fast and attentive both visits. I highly recommend the Brevard Diner! read more

I went in to get a quick simple breakfast one egg and some grits and coffee. one egg with nothing extra, no toast, no sausage, no ham was $6...... for one egg ! They are obviously expenses involved in cooking an egg paying your help and so forth , but $6 for one single egg is insane. I'm not going to buy three dozen eggs so I can eat one. read more

Our first trip was a late lunch around 1:30 pm. This is an old huddle house that's been shined up some. It looks like a huddle house with new blue paint. It's a diner and looks the part. No issue there. We entered and we were not greeted for several minutes. Just as we were about to leave, a lady motioned is to a table. Our server came by a few minutes later with a sour attitude. She took our drink orders (water) and returned for food order. I got the gyro platter and my wife got a wrap. It took about 30 minutes to get our food. The wrap was ok. The Greek salads wasn't as good as what I've had in Asheville at Apollo Flame but still pretty good. The gyro was so-so. Our bill was around $24 plus tip. I gave it a second shot for dinner with my daughter. We ate dinner around 7:45 pm. The place was about 1/4 full. We were not greeted for about 5 minutes. I decided to sit myself as the greeter showed up. Same one as before. We had a waitress come by a few minutes later to get drink order. Sweet teas took over 10 minutes. We ordered food. Food was so-so again. Very bland food. Meat was dry and stringy. Our bills was around $30 plus tip. Service is not good. I'm not overly picky but we were not offered refills and no one checked to see if we liked the food. I've given this place 2 try's but don't think I'll give it a third. There are better restaurants in town around the same price point. There is certainly better service in town. read more

This is a classic diner with a menu that hits cravings. The Greek specialties are very authentic and plenty big. They haven't been open for 2 weeks yet but are settling in with good service and flow nicely. I've eaten here twice and plan on many more visits to taste the menu choices. This used to be the Huddle House so was surprised it had opened as Brevard Diner in Brevard, NC. The place is small so it's not good for a large group of people. They have an extensive menu. I had the cheesesteak sandwich & it was very good with fresh peppers & onions. My husband had a wrap which he said was very good & both of our dinners came with fries. My sister had the hamburger steak with grilled onions, baked potato & green beans which she said was delicious. We all agreed the service was excellent and so was the food and we would go back. It would be worth the drive from Easley, SC to Brevard to eat there again since they have such a variety of foods to offer. read more

I recently returned to the Brevarsd Diner in December 2020 and the service was so much better. I wish I'd gotten the name of the Server but in any case she was friendly and attentive. The food was good, but please no need for Parmesan cheese on mozzarella sticks. The owner was genuinely interested in whether we enjoyed everything while we were checking out, so I'm thinking he is really taking the reviews to heart and trying to improve things. Man, what a treat this place is. Authentic Greek diner experience. Also had a little NYC vibe. Food was fantastic and the wait staff and host where very friendly and helpful as were the cooks. We sat at the counter and enjoyed watching the cooks work and communicate. I had a delicious Greek dish with eggplant ground beef pasta sauce and Greek potatoes. I would order it again. I was not expecting much. I am humbled. Everyone was incredibly friendly and kind. The Greek food was spectacular. My husband ordered the double cheeseburger with bacon. He was no disappointed. Place has been packed. Just got in today. Used to be a Huddle House. Sorry to say we won't be going back. Everything (including service) was below mediocre. I got their "signature" gyro platter. Served with no sauce or seasonings. Basically inedible. Wife had hamburger. Same result. Brevard sorely needed a family style Diner. Sorry to say, this is not it. They will be gone by next year. By the way, my bill was just over $47. Now, in fairness, we were there to try it out, so we had both an appetizer (fried pickles) and dessert (strawberry cheesecake). Both were good but not good enough to come back for. Tim Did go back and found things much better-- especially the service and food preparation. Ambiance in short supply but I must say the menu choices are varied and prepared very well. Prices are reasonable and service is above average. The Brevard Diner is one of the most pleasant surprises we've had since moving from Minnesota to Western North Carolina!! This is not your typical "diner!" They offer a wonderfully varied menu ... including Greek dishes that are delicious and reflect the ownership of the establishment!! From the all American hamburger to Italian to southern cooking to Greek -- it's all well- prepared and delicious!! The always friendly service just adds more to the total enjoyment. We went 2 times. The 1st time the food was blah and service was not good. We decided to give it another chance and was even more disappointed. The tea was sour. The veggie soup was so disgusting looking I would have been embarrassed to even serve it but wanted give it a chance, it was cold, I ordered a baked potato with my soup and it was so old I think it was from the day before. If you call yourself a diner and can't serve a good soup and potato your in trouble. I hate to say that we will not be back. read more

I was hoping to get better. A family member stop and bought 3 dinners. I got the gyro meal. Fries included. While it looked good when I went to check it further. It was mainly lettuce. Very little meat. Although the meat was good. I wont be buying it there again. If I want a 10.00 lettuce wrap Ill make it myself. In their defense the fries were good and the gyro meat was good just not enough. Ill go to Arden where I know it will be what I expect. read more
