While in the area I stumbled upon Barrio Barista when I was looking for a spot to get some work…read moredone and hang out with my Mom for a coffee. Yelp steered me right and brought me here on a Thursday morning. Walking in I wasn't sure if this was only a coffee/tea spot or if they sold cocktails and beers too. The bar area and decor lends itself to look like an old bar and it has great vibes! No beer or cocktails here but they do have a seemingly delicious menu! We didn't eat anything while we were here because we had breakfast prior to coming in. The menu had an array of offerings and sandwiches that I could see myself coming back and trying in the future. I ordered a Mexican Mocha and my mom had a cold brew. Service was fast and friendly. We found a nice spot close to the windows and I was able to look around at all the relics around and displayed at the front entrance. After we got our drinks, one of the owners or managers, walked around offering delicious slices of lemon frost cake. I was so appreciative that this just made our delicious coffee even better! I saw many students and other folks reading and studying while we were here. The atmosphere lends itself to do so too as it is chill, quiet, and quaint. I will definitely be back again. This spot was super unique and I really love their smart branding and logos/brand identity.

Savory and sweet items on the menu to choose from. I had the Westside Barbacoa grilled cheese and tomato soup combo and Mexican mocha. I enjoyed my meal in a cozy, intimate booth where I relaxed and enjoyed a local jazz radio station while I ate. Lots of seating and plugs to hook up your electronics. The place gives you "mi casa es su casa" vibes. I will be back to try some pastries and specialty drinks. A pleasant surprise is they have a loyalty card. So after a few purchases you get 1 free! Ay te wacho ( see you later)

I was beyond excited walking in and I have to say I wasn't disappointed. The ambiance, service and quality of product is out of this world. We ordered a Terra latte, Aventurine with matcha, big bend smoothie and a peachy greens bowl no granola. I mean where do I start. The Terra Latte was so creamy, flavorful and had a tiny spice to it (I added cayenne *recommended) it was my favorite. The Aventurine with matcha was so smooth refreshing and just perfection. The peach greens bowl is a bowl! Flavor on point and I argue shareable size. The big bend smoothie was so good and a good choice for a meal replacement( our opinion). When we walked in we were greeted and taken away into the best service I have had. Not only in genuine interaction but knowledge and the really care about the product, experience and customer. I would have everything off the menu if I kept asking questions. I can not wait for the next time I am in town as I will be stopping by. If you have this on your list to visit I say you should have gone yesterday. It's worth the wait and the drive from Austin if you're considering it.

The avocado toast was delicious, a lil avocado seasoning on toast. It was nice and crunchy and chewy. The tomatoes to micro greens and a drizzle of sweet like vinaigrette was an explosion of flavors in my mouth. Very delicious. Now on to my iced drink. I think it's called a terra latte that was yummy. A little hint of sweetness with a taste of coaco. It was yummy & enough to get my hit of espresso. The barista was nice & welcoming.

The big draw in is their variety of lemonade and quesitos (pastry). I ordered the double stuffed cream cheese and guava quesito and the passion fruit lemon-orange 75% lemonade. All of it was so delicious. Everything they made and is very fresh. Really enjoyed the lemonade it's the prefect relief on a warm day. The quesitos also come in a mini size for sharing and the lemonade can be bought in different sizes. While checking out I got some additional information from one of the owners. She said they have good powered wi-fi available for those who would like to come in and remote work while enjoying menu options. As well their menu will be expanding and they work to make oat milk and bring in more equipment for the drinks. They also sold other crafted goods such as jewelry. This is a great place to visit for a variety of reasons but mostly the delicious quesitos and lemonade!
