Nice outdoor seating and tasty meal. Service was okay, nothing special. The food was great after stepping off a plane. Not a great view, but the food made up for it. Brussels sprouts were amazing.

Date night with another couple and were excited to try Briar Common Brewery. First - super cool building. Love the vibes, the interior decor and second floor + outdoor patio options. We didn't take advantage of the patio vibes or rooftop deck with a fire pit, but this is still on our list! While waiting for a table, we cozied up to the bar and ordered drinks. One of the bartenders noticed I ordered the hibiscus margarita and asked me, offhandedly, if I was a fan of spice. Yes, please. With that, he cancelled my order and made me something "not on the menu" but what I called the "Patrick special." So good. Thanks, sir! We ordered burgers and shared their buffalo cauliflower starter. This, my friend, was absolutely amazing. Loved the buffalo spice paired with the bleu cheese. Easy way to enjoy some veggies. And along the same theme, I ordered the Buff and Bleu burger. This was so good, so flavorful and so messy. Don't judge me, but I resorted to using my fork, lol! It was so well balanced. Will have again. Parking here means street parking, but there were plenty of open spots on a Saturday night. The walk was nice. We can't wait to return, maybe on a game day, or maybe to enjoy Sunday brunch on the rooftop. Maybe a sunset for another date night. With this level of yumminess, the possibilities are endless.

Great spot tucked right into the neighborhood. As much as Denver has grown this place looks and feels like what I knew from nearly 20+ years ago. The staff is down to earth and welcoming. Even though we came on a slower night it just felt good as the restaurant was slowly filling up. I ordered the Pub Nachos but silly me I forgot to add a protein. My bad but I would certainly return to do just that and spend some time hanging out a bit. The nachos were good as is and the homemade chips had the texture of plantains but not really. tough to describe but overall I would certainly order them again. Would recommend this place and would even try the other dishes too. We were in a bit of a crunch due to the Avs playing and getting to the Can but next time I'll have to spend a little more extra time to soak up the vibe!

Our group from different states enjoyed early tailgating at this establishment. We arrived before opening and the folks in line were very friendly. Once the doors opened we walked in and took the stairs for outdoor deck seating. Beautiful day and locally brewed beverages gave everyone a break before walking to the stadium. The kitchen menu had some great options but the delivery schedule to the tables did not allow us to try the buffalo cauliflower!!! Post game we returned here to sample more beverages while the traffic floweee out of the stadium. We then Uber'd back into town for our hotel Very friendly place !!

Server was great and gave us a good suggestion to share the steak sandwich and poke salad since we wanted to try both and were unsure of what to order. Poke salad was very fresh and tasted amazing. I always get nervous with poke salads after having some bad protein at different restaurants in the past, but this one was really good, fresh and delicious. Don't be afraid to try it!!! Drinks: The Freckled Rhu-Barbie is really good!!! One in a Melon is good, but I'd take the Freckled Rhu-Barbie instead. Mid day on a Tuesday afternoon - this place was mellow. There were people but it was a very chill atmosphere.

Wanted a nice, relaxing meal when we arrived to Denver, and Briar Common checked all the boxes! We sat in their outdoor patio, which kept us shaded from the heat and had a nice breeze with a view of the park. Plus, they allow dogs on their patio. Always a bonus! So many delicious options. After looking it up, we knew we had to try their Buffalo Cauliflower. And oh my god - the reviews didn't lie but still somehow undersold this cauliflower. Perfectly crisp and smothered in a creamy buffalo sauce. We got it as an appetizer to share for the table, but it would've been just as good as a meal as well. Their Filet o Beer sandwich was also tasty, and I found myself really enjoying the fries, too. Not often do you enjoy both, but here that was the case. Great drink, options. Their Lost Summer Days Sangria was delicious. They also make a good espresso martini. Fan of Earl Grey? Then you'll love their Fade to Black - always a rarity to find Early Grey-flavored drinks, but they crafted this so well. Service was incredible. Wish I remembered her name, but our server was fantastic. I mis-ordered a drink, but didn't say anything because it was my fault. She heard me mention it, though, and offered to make a new one. So sweet! Parking wasn't too bad - we found street parking right across the street. I'd imagine it would be a bit harder to find parking when it's busy, though - we visited mid afternoon during the week. Overall, a great choice for lunch or a drink out with friends. Highly recommend!

My last bite before flying out and it was perfect - light yet filling and delicious ! Parking: There's street parking in the area. There were a lot of signs about times you could park there, which was confusing ... Seating/ space: There's space was cute and had a casual but nice vibe. There were regular tables, high tops, and bar seating . There was an upstairs as well but I don't think it was open. There seemed to be a patio also Service: The service was great. Everyone was nice and upbeat. The timing of when they came by was perfect too Food: The food came out quickly and was absolutely delicious! My friend had the burger which they loved. I had the poke bowl salad which was absolutely refreshing and delicious !

Everything here was solid, but nothing was mind-blowing. The Buffalo Cauliflower was very good, and the blue cheese sauce was nice and creamy with just a hint of the blue cheese tang without it being overpowering. The Brussels sprouts were yummy, Briar Burger very good and the melty egg was a great touch. Only issues (and no deal-breakers, just minor complaints) were the Rosemary Fries needed *lots* more rosemary, and the service was... not slow, but, lackidaisical is probably the best word. Definitely would come back, though. Lots of stuff on the menu sounded really good and overall the food was quite good.

The food and beer were great. The buffalo cauliflower was my favorite. Perfect amount of buffalo and a mild blue cheese. Service was pretty slow, served never asked us what we wanted for dinner after serving appetizers and never asked if we wanted another round. We had to wave him down after he cleared the apps and didn't come back to take our dinner order. They just cleared the table after our flight and apps. Over all we were there two hours.

Briar was great if you're looking for a good group setting in downtown! They had an extensive beer menu and the waitress was amazing at giving recommendations. The Buffalo cauliflower appetizer was sooo good probably my favorite I've ever had. It was saucy but still crisp underneath. And the goat cheese dip had a tomato jam that paired perfect with the drinks. They also had a very cool seafood display set up in the middle of the restaurant which gave it a very upscale feel

We came here for dinner at about 7:30 and there was a couple open tables. The host was very kind and helpful with helping us get a car seat sling for our baby. The server was very attentive and helpful with recommendations. Husband got a beer and a Ruben sandwich. He really enjoyed both. I tried the chips that came with the sandwich and they were too salty for me. I got the small plates Mac and cheese and it was enough food for my dinner. I was not a huge fan of the flavor of it, it almost had a burnt taste to it (husband called it earthy). The baby was starting to get antsy so the server got us our bill quickly.

    Poke Nachos
    Melanie N.

Came here for dinner on a weekday night and the food wasn't too bad, just average. My partner got the poke nachos, I think they could have been a little more generous with the fish portion and the chips were a bit on the stale side but the sauces and flavors on the nachos were pretty good. I'm not really used to having pickled onions on my poke nachos, but they had it here and it was alright. I got the chicken plate which was fried chicken, cheesy garlic mash, and the mixed berry compote. The batter on the chicken was tasty and i enjoyed the compote...the mash was a bit on the salty side but wasn't too bad. For dessert, we got the salted caramel brownie, which was a nice shareable portion. Very decadent and rich though, so does get a bit heavy over time. We ended up leaving maybe 1/5 of it leftover. Ambiance is fine, kinda small inside but the day we went it was pretty dead...not sure how busy it can get on the weekends though Parking is just whatever is available on the street, just follow the signs on the street and you should be okay. Service was quick and friendly.

I see old reviews of bottomless mimosas. Is that still an option here?

We do offer bottomless mimosas for brunch on Saturday/Sundays for a two hour time limit.

How is parking in the area? Is there a lot or street parking only?

    Street parking only.

A Friday at lunch time... think I'll need a reservation?

We would always recommend a reservation to ensure you and your guests able to join us without worry. We look forward to seeing you!

(For the owner) Do they have air conditioning?? Went in around 4-5PM On 6/14 and not only were the staff sweating but myself and my party were sweating as it was an oven hotter inside than it was outside and the high was 100°.

Yes, inside it is air conditioned.

    Do you/they take reservations?

We do! Hop on OpenTable and make yours now!

Do they have a happy hour at all?

We currently offer happy hour from 3-6pm on a daily basis.

Do you have televisions to watch sports?

We do have TVs! 2 upstairs and 2 downstairs

    Do you have board games?

Not at this time Chris. Thanks for your inquiry. Kent

    Is there happy hour?

    3pm - 6pm daily.

Is your fish and chips dairy free, or your friend chicken? Thanks!

Neither of those dishes will be dairy free due to the batter we use on each product.

    Are kids allowed at all?

Yes! It's more a restaurant atmosphere than a brewery.

Dog friendly? Or an area if we have a dog?

Hi Teresita, Our street level outdoor patio is dog friendly. Thanks for reaching out!

We loved the ambiance, feeling like we'd really discovered a gem off the beaten track, pun intended. By joining the club, it was a monthly excuse to plan a special night out to what became one of our favorite places for date night. It's been a couple of years now, but we had occassion to meet the owners, when we mistook their closing time for an hour later. The lights were still on, so we didn't realize our mistake, until they'd already invited us in to exchange our monthly growler with such warmth. Super nice people, reflecting the vibe we always felt on our other visits. The staff echoes that disposition, always friendly and knowledgeable. Though the winery isn't on-site, I've always been impressed with their tasting experience. I've now been a member for over 5 years, going in at least once a month, and they still suggest trying seasonal options and have broadened my palette... Though my ex and I have parted ways for a long while now and he moved away, he's kept our membership current, calling it my "alimony," and a nod to remembering the good times we had together. I recommend Bigsby's for all the good memories for all the folks, be it a lazy summer afternoon on the patio or a cozy evening in the lounge area with a glass of red when it's cold outside!

Then when he did acknowledge me and I stated I would sit at the bar, it took several minutes for the bartender to acknowledge me. The staff was busy speaking to each other and doing side work. Once I was acknowledged, things started getting a little better. When I arrived during breakfast/brunch, I was informed they were in the middle of a menu change, so my choices were limited. Breakfast items include bacon and burritos. I started off with a charcuterie board (though I had asked for a fromage board). This was not only because I wanted some tasty cheese, but I was trying to kill time until the lunch/dinner menu started. The board was a great board, two different meats, three cheeses, a loaf of bread, some nuts and jellies. But it was 40 dollars! I had a few small plates (which was still a lot of food). I had a melon and cucumber salad, which was a good palate cleanser. I also had the roasted king mushrooms, which were underwhelming with no seasoning, and they were a little chewy. The best thing was the wild boar meatballs, which were seasoned really well and in a savory, delicious marinara sauce. All the cocktails were fruity (but not sweet) and refreshing. I had one that was carrot based (Kiss my Carrot with tequila, cointreau, carrot, orange, and ginger), one that had pineapple flavor (paper boat with rum, falernum, aperol, lemon, pineapple), and the smoky smoke and flower (hibiscus mezcal, cointreau, pama, rose water). This spot is a winery, so they have a large wine list. They have handhelds like burgers and flatbreads. Starters like artichoke dip and bruschetta. Some of the current entrees, which might change, are hanger steak, chilean salmon, cauliflower steak. They had a gnocchi dish I was interested in, but it's already been removed from the menu. The restaurant is classy and just like a winery is expected to be. The food is pretty good. But the service was really subpar.

The house band played from 7 to 8:10, took a break, and then came back and played another song. It was 8:25 before anyone was invited to join. The jam was advertised to go to 9 so it wasn't much of a jam opportunity. Also, the they decided to squeeze the band into a little spot in the walkway that was in the middle of all the vaping. People walking by had to be careful not to bump the horn players, and the horn players had to move to avoid being hit by them as they were playing. This was unnecessary because they have a big room with chairs, guitars on the wall, etc available in the back of the place that appeared to be setup for the jam. It made no sense and created a terrible jam environment.

Not sure how this place has good reviews, our experience was definitely not good…read more We ordered lumpia and elote for appetizers, and then pork belly stack, tacos - carnita,, carne asada & prime brisket birria, and pancit bowl. The only item that was pretty good was the carne asada taco. The elote was meh, mainly tart and spicy flavor. The lumpia was just ok, 5/10, edible but nothing to rave about. The carnita taco was so oily it was inedible. The birria taco was extremely bland, no flavor at all. The pork belly stack was ok but the sauce overwhelmed the entire dish. Finally, the pancit bowl was underwhelming to say the least. It was edible but wouldn't order again. Note that this place is definitely overpriced for what you get. Our bill was almost $120! Keep in mind the tacos were tiny and the lumpia had 3 in an order. Definitely disappointing and won't go back.

Oh yum! Ordered the fish tacos, chicken tacos and steak quesadillas for our family. Delicious!…read moreThe first fish tacos I'd ever had were in Ensenada, Mexico many years ago and these were just as delicious. Nice amount of protein, fresh salsa and toppings (cucumber, radish, limes). Then we tried the quesadilla and it was nicely seasoned as well, not your average tortilla with cheese. The owner was friendly and a joy to talk to, thanks JT! I can't wait to eat this again! Sooo good, I forgot to take a picture!

Went it to grab some breakfast burritos for the office. I asked for 20 of the standard. I was…read moreprepared to wait, I have a brain and realize they didn't have 20 ready for me and they aren't psychic. Anyway, I ask if they can please cut them in half. Not a big deal, I was just thinking not everyone wants a whole and if someone is extra hungry they can take two halves. Just thought it would make things a tad easier. They tell me no. They can't/won't cut in half. Ok, whatever. I don't understand what the big deal is, they obviously posses knives... just cut them instead of saying "no". So stupid. 20ish Minutes after waiting, the person who took my order said it would be 30 minutes to make. Which was weird cause what was going on for the last 20 minutes? 30 minutes to wait is fine, if you don't waste the 20 mins prior resulting in about an hour wait. So, I declined as now we are talking an hour to get 20 simple breakfast burritos. I needed to get to work and I wasn't wanting to wait an entire hour and they just wasted 20 minutes of my time not prepping anything, so I decided not to go with the burritos. Someone came to refund my sale and then preceded to kind of scold me for not ordering in advance. He said something about for an order like 20 burritos they want 2 days heads up. GTF outta here. It's freaking burritos. You don't need 2 days to make 20 burritos. And here's the thing, I'm not here for a lecture because I attempted to give YOU business. And I won't be back, either. When you get a customer to purchase your goods, be happy. Provide them the goods. Make it as soon as you can. Don't say no for no reason. Don't make anyone feel bad for trying to give you business. It would have been SOOOOO simple to make the burritos and quick run the knife through them. But, no, the choice was to do nothing for almost a half hour, to refuse to run a knife through them as asked, and then lecture a customer for coming in to order 20 items. It's not like I asked for 100. What if 10 customers came in and each ordered 2? Can you do that? Do they get lectured, too, or...? See ya.

3.5 Stars…read more After waiting nearly three months for Denver's hottest reservation, my group of four were underwhelmed by our dining experience. The Good: The food itself was lovely. Fantastic flavors. Beautiful plating. If basing our review on the food alone--five stars. The Bad: Despite having been in their space for months by now, the ambiance was not there. The staff kept turning on and off the food heat lamps, which were so bright that the light level in the entire space vacillated between dark and sultry to too brightly light all night. The temperature was absolutely arctic. Multiple groups had to ask for their coats from coat check before one of the waitstaff said he looked at the heating. He made adjustments, which did increase the temperature of the room from arctic to chilly--but it remained unacceptably cold. Pacing of courses was oddly timed. The waitstaff couldn't seem to strike a good balance between casual and fine dining--it was a little awkward at times. The Bad: Despite placing our wine flight orders twice, with two different waitstaff, they forgot to give us our drinks until we asked. By then, we'd missed two of the pairings. They did offer to serve us the remaining pairings at no cost, which was a nice gesture. But, it's wild that something like this happened in a place with 16 seats and 4 waitstaff--they missed out on $400 in alcohol sales because of this error. The meal was explained to our group as a "ten course" experience. We only received nine courses: 1. The venison "hamburger" 2. Cappuccino 3. Roasted apple 4. Crudo/sashimi 5. Scallop 6. Lobster 7. Venison skewer 8. Duck leg 9. Dessert This feels like an egregious oversight. And, based on what we overheard from the table next to us--almost felt deliberately misleading. The wine pairing is plainly described in the menu as "five pairings." As dessert was brought out, the table next to us inquired about the remaining pairings, as they'd only received 4 pairings up to that point. The waitstaff tried blaming it on the fact that "dessert wine is polarizing" and "we over poured the other pairings," but those are weak excuses. If you're not going to offer the full 5 pairing flight as advertised, that needs to be communicated ahead of time. Overall: With a price point, including wine flight (had that worked out), per person of nearly $325--The Guest had too many substantial misses. While the food may be ready for prime time, the service is leagues behind.

This is a timed, coursed dinner where the entire room sits and eats together, so arriving on time is essential. The format creates a restaurant wide dinner party feel, which sets the tone for the night. Everything feels intentional, from the pacing to the service to the design of the space. The menu changes often and is never repeated, which makes the experience feel special and creative rather than formulaic. Standout dishes for me included the duck doughnut, the wood ear French toast, the venison burger, and the leek cappuccino. The kanpachi crudo and scallop with tamarind were also beautifully balanced, and desserts like Cash's Apple and The Sphere were thoughtful finishes rather than an afterthought. One of the more memorable details was the menu book at the end of the night, featuring the chef's original sketches of the dishes. It's a small touch that really reinforces how personal and considered the experience is. If you're looking for a unique, chef driven tasting experience that feels cohesive and well executed, this is absolutely worth a reservation.
