I love this place! One of my favorite local places to eat. I have tried a variety of dishes. I have found their food to be consistent in taste and quality. The ambiance is upbeat and fun. You can sit outside at the bar, watch sports, or lounge at the causal seating. No one rushes you and the wait staff is attentive. The duck wings are my fav. They have that sweet tangy crispy texture. The duck is moist and tender. Be warned the order is only five wings - don't share you'll be fighting over the last one. In the need for comfort food? Try the pot pie. It's yummy! Enough to share. Another great appetizer are the deviled eggs. They are garnished with a piece of bacon, and served on a standing dish. I eat here once a month and always look forward to returning. read more

Best drink I've had! The mango mojito was delicious. I went there with a couple of friends and we sat next to the fireplace. The atmosphere was very laid-back and relaxing. What gave it the 5 stars was the outstanding customer service. Our waiter, Nico, was amazing! He was very patient with us whenever we were trying to figure out which drink to order. My ordered their "signature pineapple ginger margarita", it had so much ginger in it she sent it back and passed on getting a different one. The place want busy on Labor Day but it still took so long to get our drinks, including water, that we asked if he forgot we ordered whatever it was. Food was average quality, but portion sizes varied by plate, some got tons of fries, others a small portion, then someone ordered the apple crumble dessert. Don't do it! It was luke warm at best, served in a small skillet which implies fresh from the oven. Not. The bathrooms were not clean either. Overall very poor experience from food to cleanliness to service. Good thing that happened. The bartender remembered me. Bad thing, 10 other people sitting at the bar 2 bartenders and nobody came back to check on me. The female bartender that was there took my order but got busy and didn't get a chance to get back to me but the other bartender walks into the bar and is really not doing much. This restaurant replaced the Joe's Crab Shack in our area. I've always been skeptical about trying this place as it looks like your everyday sports bar. I don't frequent sports bar. However, it was late, this was close to home and there was no waiting. The restaurant was pretty much empty. The hostess actually told us to seat ourselves. There were several TVs on the walls and each were showing something different. I glanced over the menu trying to determine what I would like to order. The waitress was helpful and suggested the drunken pork chops. She said it was one of the restaurant's specialties. Needless to say, I did order the pork chops. I received two very large brined center cut pork chops with a whiskey glazed barbeque sauce, topped with onion strings and served with cheddar mashed potatoes. The whiskey glaze had a distinctive robust flavor that I really enjoyed. The pork chop itself could have used more seasoning or could have been marinated longer. The cheddar potatoes were creamy and palatable. I'm giving the restaurant four stars because they do offer a variety entrees outside of the usual burger and wings. read more

My husband and I, along with another couple, came here to watch the Rockets game last week. What an awesome place to catch our favorite Houston teams! There are tons of TVs, along with a big screen, so you're never without a view! They also have specials during the playoffs, even though we weren't told this until we saw the sign as we were leaving. Our server and the GM (I believe) gave great service and were very attentive the whole evening. That's always a huge plus when visiting a busy establishment. Kudos to them! We had some food and drinks as well. My husband and I split the mushroom (veggie) burger, along with some tots. Although the burger was messy, it was definitely delicious, and the tots were light and crispy, as promised. The only reason for the one less star is because they have an awesome beer selection, however they were out of a bunch of them, making it hard to choose something we wanted. For a chain restaurant the food and drink selection is on point. It's way better than your run of the mill Chilis or TGI Fridays and definitely better than the Joes Crab Shack that was previously there. My only complaint is that the burger I got was pretty soggy and one time we had a waiter with a piss poor attitude. Other than that I have had many great times here. The patio is HUGE but in the heat of Houston summers I think it's going to be a waste of space. HH is a great bargain with not only good cheap drinks but a good selection of food. First and last time here. The server was not attentive and we only saw him to order and to pay. The drink order was wrong, missed a salad that we still haven't seen. Food from the kitchen was missing a few things that were on the menu description (like balsamic drizzle on the flatbread and chips with the fish and chips). I asked a different server for the balsamic drizzle and he brought me balsamic dressing. I also asked someone if we could have baseball on one tv, they said yes and never changed it or came back. Dear Management, I have always liked Brick House, but I am highly disappointed that my favorite salad (and the only one I ever order), the THAI CHICKEN SALAD, has been discontinued. I discovered this a few weeks ago when I phone-ordered lunch for two to go. My food choice was my usual, the Thai Chicken Salad. When I arrived to pick up our order, I had to wait about 15 minutes before someone camp out of the kitchen and told me me that they discontinued the Thai Chicken Salad. I asked why they did not tell me that when they took my order by phone, but they had no answer except that it wasn't on the menu any longer, but the menu was still listing the Thai Chicken Salad on the online menu. Needless to say, I walked out without any food and not sure I will ever go back. If anyone from Brickhouse is reading this and cares about keeping a long-time customer, I have a request. IF Brickhouse will share the Thai Chicken Salad recipe with me as well as the recipe for the peanut dressing, I will remain a customer and will try new dishes there when we come in to dine. Great food, great atmosphere, and overall great new addition to the River Park neighborhood here in Sugar Land! When I went there, I ordered the the "Bison Burger" with cajun seasoned tater tots. The burger was a good size--not too big and not too small, and the meat was nice and juicy. I ordered it medium-rare and it was done just right. The jalapeno cilantro mayo was a great touch to the burger. The tater tots were also great, and I definitely recommend the cajun seasoning (whether it be on tater tots or fries). I really like the environment of the restaurant. It can be described as a [relatively] classy sports bar, and the set-up of the seating and the TV's is excellent. The seating is very comfortable since the chairs at the table are all couches. The restaurant has your typical sports bar (with available outdoor seating that has access to the bar) with TV's all around. There's also a part of the restaurant where there are couches and tables facing a big screen TV, which seems to be a GREAT place to watch a game and have a few drinks. The restaurant also has a fireplace, which includes a cute couch set-up around it. I definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants to try a good burger and drink a good variety of beers, all in a relaxing and [relatively] classy sports bar. My husband had an empty cup of water after the first 20 min and we got our second beer we ordered after we were totally done eating. But it took a long time to place orders for apps, food, drinks etc. Dirty plates piled up on our table along with all the menus that were never taken. Food was sub-par. Nothing seemed all that fresh or special. For the prices I'd expect a bit more. Presentation of the food on our plates was a mess, just sloppily thrown on there. One entree came out while we had to wait an additional 10 minutes for the second one to arrive. So by the time the second entree came, the first was not hot anymore. The oil that was used to fry the tater tots tasted old. It was a pretty disappointing meal. And like I said for the prices, I'd expect more. read more

Ordered cheeseburger medium well and chicken pot pie. When I got home, burger was rare with no condiments and pot pie container wasn't closed and most of it spilled into the bag. Started coming here about a month and a half ago on Sunday's. Cool spot and outdoor seating. I usually come during brunch time and sit outside. I always ask about any rotating beers on draft as I like the IPA's. My go to is the house made breakfast sausage which comes with two patties (Bison $1 extra) and cheddar potato hash (two pieces as well) this is pretty simple but filling in my opinion. I did order the bacon once but it was too salty for me. I will stick with my go to order. I have gotten the Wild Mushroom pizza which I did like and also the Shrimp and chips. The shrimp were a little salty but the size was good and breading not as filling. So it was good to actually taste some shrimp! I always get good service here when I sit outside. Been good everytime I've been except for the most recent. I tried the pork belly Cuban for the first time, big mistake. When I asked for no mayo the waitress informed me they make the sandwiches are made in the morning so you cant change anything on them. I've never heard of sandwiches being made ahead of time like this (I've worked in restaurants for almost 10 years). When the sandwich came it was cold inside and extremely disappointing.
