Passing through Anchorage and our hotel concierge recommended Bridge Seafood. We were a little disappointed--it was fine, but just fine. Institutional vibe, almost like a restaurant in a conference center or large hotel. Fun view, though, of a roaring river, where several people were fishing. The salad bar was nice but unremarkable, and included: beet salad; salmon pasta salad; sliced cucumbers; potato salad; a green salad. Salad bar is included with the order of any entree. My companions who ordered fish found it tasty but swimming in butter. I ordered the vegetarian mac and cheese, which was more butter than cheese, and heavy on the vegetables. Our favorite annual Alaskan experience! It's sad they're not open year round, but the level of quality and freshness makes up for it. This year we had the salmon steak with seasonal vegetables and potatoes and Ciopinno. Excellent flavor, portions and service. The endless salad bar is beautifully done. Seasonal and local to a tee. Rhubarb crumble is to die for but this year we opted for the double fudge brownie and ice cream. Everything is so well presented and served. Oh and the rolls with salmon spread! We love this place. Food is just okay for the price, not at all what we were hoping for. This seems to be more of a tourist trap type of place where out of towners get ooohed and awwed by the "Alaska fish House" vibe. If you haven't tried the Bridge, you're truly missing an extraordinary culinary experience. My husband and I went last night to return to "the scene of the crime". (We rented the venue for our nuptials last May-consider it for your next party! They do an AMAZING job!) Anyway, it was as awesome as we remembered. From the moment we walked in the door we were greeted like old friends. The host was welcoming, the wait staff friendly and prompt, and the manager Ann Marie provided the extra special touch to enhance our evening. The menu provides myriad choices for all types of diets. The carnivores and vegans and gluten free folks are all welcomed! We both had the king crab cakes for starters followed by the endless starter salad bar. The salads are amazing and come with all entree's. All of that is a meal in itself. Then, we both had the Rock Fish Olympia. Perfectly cooked. Take it from me...I'm a 5th generation Alaskan fish snob. Granddaughter of a power troller. I know my fish and I'm pretty stuck up about it. The Bridge doesn't mess around. At least for the rock fish, they nailed it! After Saturday they are done for the season and it will be party rental time again. If you can get there for a sit down by then, please do! Had a fantastic dinner here with a large group (27 people from diverse backgrounds) on a ten day Alaska excursion. The meal was varied, nutritious and delicious! We enjoyed a huge selection of salads followed by fresh sautéed vegetables and entrees - roast beef and salmon. The salads and veg's were crisp and full of flavor, apparently representing the produce of the local area - surprising as that is. The beef was tasty and the salmon was the Big Hit, tender and full of flavor. Dessert of strawberry rhubarb cobbler was hot and delicious, topped with ice cream for a wonderful temperature and flavor combination. Equal to the food and drink (full wine list and loooong card of craft beers) was the warm and attentive staff. The host and servers provided great assistance in managing food allergies/limitations, without any hesitation. Probably one of my worst dining experiences ever. We love coming here every summer, but after this past Saturday, I doubt we will ever return. We came here for dinner with a group of 6 and everything was going great until the server spilled half a glass of RED wine on my husband and I. Luckily I was wearing black!! I am not mad at the server at all. Accidents happen and I understand that. What I was most disappointed about was how the manger handled the whole situation. She came by the table and apologized and offered us dessert on the house as compensation. I don't even eat dessert and didn't even order any at the end. Our bill came out to be $250.00 and she couldn't even offer a discount off the bill or comp me or my husband our meals for the accident? I thought that was horrible customer service offering me $6 dessert as compensation for spilling RED wine on me. Did I need to cause a scene to get their attention that dessert isn't going to make me happy? We were so upset, we lost our appetites and packed most of our dinner to take home. read more

Each visit here has become progressively less impressive. The main reason to come is for the all-you-can-eat crab legs, but on the most recent visit these were even somewhat disappointing. The vegetables that come with each entree are always the same and not worth eating. The fish/other entree itself is underwhelming and not worth the price. Great restaurant to visit on any trip to Anchorage! The salad bar, unlimited crab or entrees of King Crab are worth the visit and the view. Even had a chance to watch the fisherman in the river catching and cleaning salmon. The service was on par and the staff were really sweet. In fairness to the Bridge, we came here as part of a small tour group, so our menu was preselected and I can only therefore judge them on the salad bar - ordinary , the salmon- pretty tasty, and the sirloin- just ok. The side potatoes were good but the mixed veg was over-cooked. On the plus side, the view is spectacular and service was very friendly. I think that, left to my own devices, I could find better seafood restaurants in Anchorage. read more

I'm a long time Alaskan and I have to say that this has been one of the worst customer service and seafood here. It's way overpriced for what it is, and portions of the actual seafood is very small. They sat us in the center of the area and the servers ran back and forth frantically hitting out chairs. The unlimited salad bar is mediocre, it's exactly what you'd think any other salad bar is.They didn't take our order for a long time and ultimately their service was slow. And there was an overwhelming amount of servers, probably because we went on the weekend. The interior of the restaurant has a similar theme to Olive Garden, green and red tones. If I'm going to pay this much money for seafood, I should be getting great service and a great environment too. The people next to us even sent their food back. Lastly, the seats were uncomfortable and ultimately it will be our first and last time coming here. read more

The food was excellent if you don't mind the FALSE ADVERTISING. They have a sign out front saying there is all you can eat crab at the starter bar with purchase of an entree. And the website says there is crab at the starter bar. I even read a Yelp review saying the person had crab at the starter bar . . . NOT TRUE . . . the waiter said they have not had the crab on the starter bar since he started working there 2 years ago, they just never had new signs printed. MISLEADING !!!! I looked at the website to make sure there would be something my husband would enjoy since he does not care for sea food (except crab) . . . Prime rib was listed on their website for $32 but once you get there it is $40 on the menu . . . and the rest of the prices are also 20-30% higher than the prices listed on the web site. So if you don't want to be as annoyed as I was, don't look at their website !! The food WAS Excellent. The Bridge Restaurant is literally built on a bridge straddling Ship Creek and It was fun sitting outside watching the fishermen casting for Silver Salmon while we ate. read more

Ate here the evening of 8/29/2015. It came highly recommended so I was expecting the best. Unfortunately that's not what my parents and I found. We were seated fairly quickly in spite of this being a busy Friday evening. We also had satisfactory service (I'm sorry I can't remember the waitress's name) except for a long wait when we were done eating. I had to physically get up from my table and go ask someone for our check. The waitress was obviously annoyed at that when she finally brought it. The waitress made us feel uncomfortable when all we wanted to order were appetizers, sort of like we were wasting space or something, but we were floored when we saw the price of the entrees. I'd gladly pay $30 to $40 for an entree in an upscale restaurant but this place was about as casual as they come. It was a busy night and SO LOUD inside that we could not even hear ourselves converse. We had to yell at each other during dinner to be heard. Maybe some people like an amusement park ambience full of intoxicated people but at those prices I would expect a venue with linen tablecloths (not butcher paper), superior service, and a quiet, relaxing atmosphere. I heard this place used to be one amazing restaurant but I guess that was a myth because all I saw was a sad looking cafe above a dried up stream in the middle of a train yard. Sounds fantastic, right? The only reason why I went here was because it was down the street from my work location and it was cheap. I went on to try the reindeer dog which was a BIG mistake. I have no idea why i didnt just go for the regular hotdog, I guess I was just feeling a bit adventurous. It was not amazing and I ended up with a horrible stomach ache. The ratings were good here so we chose it. The hostesses were giggly and unprofessional. It was like checking in at a sorority. The tables were not very clean and we were seated in a rush though no one else was there. The starter bar was not bad (clean and well stocked), but nothing spectacular. Maybe I'm not much for salad bars post 1995. The entrees were served when we requested, which was nice. We didn't feel rushed. The king crab was good. The sides were not acceptable. The potatoes were burnt but cold and the vegetables were boring and soggy. For a $60 entree, not impressed. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant and would not return. I look forward every year for the opening of this restaurant from Memorial Day weekend until Labor Day weekend. The rest of the time, they do catering and other events. The all-you-care to eat salad bar comes with every entree or as a stand alone item. The snow crab included in the salad bar is on the small side, but like a fat sea otter, I know how to eat crab! Ask for melted butter as it is not one of the condiments at the bar. Since my surf was taken care of by the crab, I opted for a ribeye steak...perfectly rare like my carnivore instincts prefer! The veggies served with the turf were fresh and bright, like the king salmon that were being caught right below us on Ship Creek by sport anglers. Very unique! I would have given this place five stars if it had a full liquor license. Beer and wine only. Good selections though. I'll be back for another crab coma later this summer! read more

For starters, I realized I needed to pay for parking because there was nothing else in the ship creek vicinity that was available. Boooo! To get inside, you need to walk through the tables of folks who choose to smoke outside. Not the greatest experience for either party in this case. For a novelty place that is only open during the tourist season, they have butcher-paper tablecloths and a buffet that comes with pretty much everything on the menu except dessert. To be fair, this place seems very well thought out, has good service, and it's great to watch people fishing. But the food is expensive for what most adept cooks can pull out of their own oven. My husband, 2 kids, and I were VERY happy with our experience and food here. We made a 6:45 reservation but when the kids got hungry early I called to see if they could accommodate the 4 of us at 5:30 instead. They said they could, and they did. Our server Jessica was excellent, attentive, and helpful with making sure we had everything we needed. We sat by the window and had a great view of locals coming to fish after work (we ate here on a Monday evening). My husband and I would rather have more flavor than King Crab legs and more bang for our buck, so we each got the all-you-can-eat Tanner Crab Legs. The first 1/2-1 pound came with veggies and potatoes or rice, rolls with smoked salmon spread, and unlimited salad bar which has a mustard dressing potato salad, salmon pasta salad, goat cheese and beet salad, couscous salad, watermelon with basil, and spring lettuce with 2 types of dressing (I liked the feta ranch). This was $58 and totally worth it! The kids meals were $12.95 and were big portions and came with free ice cream. We all left very satisfied and glad that this was our final meal to end our Alaskan adventure vacation. read more

Theres a buffet of salad and crab and bread. AND THE SALMON BUTTER OH GOD. it comes with the complimentary bread and i cannot stop raving about that butter...its just SO GOOD I got the halibut, my sister got the seafood mac&cheese, my bro got the salmon. My wife and I ate at Bridge on Wednesday 6-20-18. Everything was great from the time we walked in to the time we left. The service and the smiles were abundant. Both of us had the King Salmon and the desert was Rhubarb Crisp. Perfectly cooked! The open Salad Bar was very good to excellent. Our server was quick and attentive, It's not cheap but it's so worth coming to dinner here. It's a shame that they're open only about 4 months a year. The reason is that the Salmon season is during this time and they refuse to serve frozen. I come to Anchorage for a couple of days every month on business. I'll be back here in July! read more

This was the Alaskan seafood experience I have been looking for. I was absolutely delighted with all aspects of my meal at bridge seafood. We began with the starter bar, which has delicious and fresh options including beet salad, watermelon salad, traditional green salad with a delicious feta ranch dressing, and, best of all, a succulent crab legs appetizer. Entrees were equally delicious. The Alaskan mac and cheese was hearty, smokey, and very tasty. The mixed grill skewer included the best rock fish and salmon that I have had yet in Alaska. Each were well seasoned and perfectly cooked. Kids meals are half price, but still include the starter bar and smaller versions of main entrees. Additionally, the kids meal comes with an ice cream dessert. Service was outstanding, and the ambiance is quite nice. I very much enjoyed this restaurant and look forward to returning. read more
