Bourbon Smash
Sophia P.

Decided to check this place out for happy hour on a Friday after work. I went right when they opened and just sat at the bar. The bartenders were super friendly and served you right away when you sat down. They also asked if you have any allergies which is different but such a nice touch just in case you are allergic to anything. I tried the old fashioned first and they were so delicious!!! Then I tried the bourbon smash which was ok, but went back to the old fashioned. It was just that good! I only got an appetizer of brussel sprouts since I was planning to eat elsewhere later on. The Brussels were good as well! All of the staff members were super nice and definitely engaging throughout the evening. The ambience was very inviting and cozy. Loved the outlets and handles for bags as well. Nice touch! Overall I will be back if I'm in town and hope to bring my friends next time. Thank you!

I easily made a reservation on Resy the day before we went. We were greeted warmly by the host and seated promptly. The restaurant is on the smaller side and we were sat by the door which kind of sucked bc it was cold outside so every time the door opened it was chilly. The restaurant is also extremely dark. I get ambiance and intimacy, but imo the lights need turned up a bit more. They don't have menus, you're to scans QR code. Our waiter was attentive and the food came out quickly. My fiance ordered a chicken dish that was really tender and flavorful. I ordered the scallops. They were perfectly cooked and paired well with whatever it came with lol Overall the food and drinks were good but the portions are small by American standards so you will be hungry later.

This is the perfect place to go if you want a cozy and sophisticated night out. The service is always excellent. My favorite appetizer are the fries with the chipotle dip.

Bridges and Bourbon is the perfect place for a romantic date night or dinner and drinks before a show. I appreciate that their cocktail and food menus are seasonal so there is always something fun to experience. The classic cocktails are always a hit but challenge yourself to try something unique. The menu has allergies clearly marked and I was thrilled to get a chimichurri burger on a gluten free bun (one of the best buns I have had). My husband's salmon was also incredible. I look forward to returning to try the rest of the menu.

B&B brings a cozy ambiance great for a relaxing conversation with a nice drop of bourbon. The burrata was fresh and the bread chips were toasted to perfection (not too hard, fresh and lightly oiled). You will definitely enjoy the smash burger! Get a double and eat the first few bites with a fork! So good Parking on street is tricky so have a game plan for a nearby parking garage, I went to a PGH Parking Garage and it was $8 for the evening, easy.

Afternoon in Kyoto

This was my second time at Bridges & Bourbon (my first time was 3 years ago). Their cocktails are stunning! The bar is gorgeous! My fiancé and I walked in for drinks after going to a show at The Benedum on a Saturday night; it was 11 pm and we easily got seats at the bar. The staff were all very kind. We only got one drink each. I got the "Afternoon in Kyoto" under the craft cocktails list, which was delicious, and the presentation was beautiful! My fiancé got the "Millionaire" under the classic cocktails list, and he enjoyed it!

Phenomenal. It's worth the visit. What a great way for a group of us to close out an amazing time in Pittsburgh. Everything was good. Ambience is amazing as well.

Had a couple drinks at the bar, and we were then going to get a table for dinner. After a couple of drinks we decided to go somewhere else for dinner. If you're going to charge that much for a martini, at least use high quality olives and olive juice. The bartender was not very friendly, and it was hard to get their attention, even though they were not busy. They were too busy standing around talking. The whole vibe was very boring.

Tasty cocktails with style! While they're a little pricey, you're paying for great presentation plus a great ambiance here, so it's worth a stop if those things are important to you. Our kept up with the busy night and offered great recommendations as well.

OK, so initially we started off with like the Caesar salad and the mozzarella cheese thing it was a very basic nothing spectacular for entrées. We went ahead and got the burger. I will have to say was more decent. However, it's a Smashburger and it was basically burnt hard I didn't care for it and I wouldn't have it again from this place. but the only reason why I'm gave it 2 stars is because the waffle fries were absolutely delicious!!!! It's nothing like I've ever tasted before. it's like a spin with a little bit of sugar and some like honey drizzle it's weird but really good. The desserts were. big flop . they had some. I think it was like cinnamon cake look at the picture below Epic failure. But I will say out waitress was so nice and so she bought like the chocolate mousse and that was decent. It had cherries in it but honestly, I would only come back here to get the waffle fries.

Excellent, innovative and one of the best bars I've been to! Any other bar pales in comparison whether it's DC, Nawlins, Seattle, Chicago, London or Paris, etc., this was very inventive. Service was just as excellent as their cocktails. Ambience, you say, this was perfection! Ugh, I want to keep it to myself but it's hard to stay mum about such an amazing bar! Reminded me of Seatlle-Bellevués Civility & Unrest and the Sovereign in Asheville, in that order! This one tops in my unbiased opinion! Kodus to our waitress who recommended and assisted with our choices. Wished we had more time... A return visit a must! Until then!

Whenever I tell people that it's basically a pub with great sushi they are truly befuddled but everything here works (and is extremely delicious) I've had numerous things from the menu but I always go back to the steak sandwich. There are a few staple drinks but I love to have a bar tender make whatever they're feeling. I've had some fun nights with complete strangers while watching Pen's games. This is the place to be.

I've heard so many mixed things that I have to say I was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed every aspect of my experience. It kind of has dive bar vibes but the food and drink options are definitely on the elevated side. They open at 4 on Sundays and I got there around 4:15. It was already pretty busy (and by the time I was leaving, every single table and bar stool were occupied). They have standard booth seats along the windows, hightop tables in the middle and bar seating along the bar that curves along the back of the restaurant. I chose to sit at the bar since I was by myself. I was promptly greeted by the bartender. They don't hand you copies of the menu, you have to scan the QR code to access. It is easy to read and follow with sections for drinks, specials (this time they were Wicked themed as a nod to the show at the Benedum) and a sushi section. I ordered the street corn dip. The chips were a bit overcooked and the dip was just OK. I thought it was pricey for what you got. The star of my meal, though, was the patty melt. It had the burger, a bacon jam, caramelized onions and was absolutely delicious! It was served with fries. I considered ordering sushi but wasn't sure what to expect. The patrons sitting on either side of my ordered rolls and they were a nice size and looked delicious, so that is something I would consider ordering in the future. It was a place I'll likely be back to because of the proximity to the theater (although their prices definitely reflect that). Just note how crowded it always is and give yourself plenty of time if you plan on heading here for dinner before the show.

The atmosphere alone is worth a visit. The drinks are definitely crafted with care and have a lot of complexity, but with only two bartenders working, it took quite a while to get ours. Not the place to go if you want quick service or are grabbing a drink before another event. My biggest downside is the price point--most cocktails are around $17. They're good, but at that price I can really only justify having one. Note: They do not have food, just snacks like peanuts. Overall, amazing ambiance and well-made drinks, just expect slower service and a higher bill.

Cocktails were made surprisingly quick even on a busy night. Everything is just really great about this place. Except for maybe the price lol but at least you're getting what you pay for in a good way

Thankfully nothing is overly gory or too creepy. To avoid a line, it is best to go right at opening or about an hour before it closes. There is a list of fun themed drinks served in quirky glasses that match the theme of the drink (a mummy, for example). I visited three times and tried a different drink each time. One thing is that they can (and often do) search your bag to make sure you don't steal the glassware. Sad that they need to so that, but I guess I understand why they need to check.
