If I could give this place negative stars, I would. We sat there to get drinks (we're all 21/22) the manager was watching us weirdly, making us all uncomfortable. She took our ID's and came back saying they can't serve us because serval of them were fake (again we're all 21/22???). Manager spoke down to us with a rude and vile attitude. It was incredibly disrespectful and just unprofessional, I have never been treated this horribly before in my life. Just curious how these people got jobs in customer service? I really wanted to like this restaurant. The food was delicious. My friend and I split the burger four dollars extra to add bacon. We had fried green tomatoes which needed a little bit more sauce we asked for some, but it took our server so long we had already finished them till she came back. Drink drinks were good. The fog was delicious. I was intrigued by the butterfly effect. My server really didn't explain it to me when she sat there. I didn't know there was a tube of liquor in the smoky bottle so I ended up pouring it all into my drink, which was not the right thing to do. The truffle fries were amazing. I was just really disappointed in our server. She was not very attentive. My friend asked for lemon with her water and she forgot it completely. Then remembered we asked for ketchup when the fries came also took a very long time to get that practically done our fries till she came back with the ketchup. This review is based on drinks only. My friend and I were unable to get a reservation, but with good timing we were able to get two seats at the (first come seating) bar. As we had only come in for a drink, this was perfect due to the phenomenal service of Shawn/Sean (I'm unsure of the spelling). Unless you are eating or have a big group, grab a bar seat. They seem to be known for their Insta worthy cocktails. They change it up seasonally, so some of the cocktails may have changed. They also, of course, have bourbon and bourbon flights. We tried a couple fun cocktails, and they were made well and did taste as good as they looked. The atmosphere is upscale, clean lines, nicely twinkly for holidays during our visit. read more

I've been trying to go here for ages. Finally got a reservation and it was industry night so 30 percent off yay! Gorgeous interior, loved the entire look. Felt high end without being snobby. Our cocktails were all amazing - I especially loved my firebird. Their food menu is very limited so we started with a charcuterie board - delicious but small. For dinner, I got the sage pesto pasta - very yummy and a little tangy which was interesting. My boyfriend got the smash burger...it was incredible! The fries were also delicious. The mushroom side - I gotta say I felt like I was chewing on those bouncy balls in the quarter machine. Wasn't a fan. Our server was sweet but did mess up a few things. Walking by on the way to our downtown hotel, couldn't pass up the cute little glass houses on the sidewalk. No reservations on a Saturday night, the place was pretty busy but the hostess asked if we would be ok with sitting outside in one of the houses. We were so excited, think8 g they'd all be reserved. Lovely place for a fun, flashy cocktail experience before a show downtown. Bridges & Bourbon sat us quickly after our reservation fell through at a different nearby restaurant. The service was impeccable-- they were proactive about asking if we had a show or time constraint and were attentive to food allergies. The outdoor seating is on the street in small 4-person domes. A small fire and Bluetooth speaker are provided. The cocktails are magical- most come with some dramatic dry ice and spectacle glassware. We joked that they had a Michael's gift card and went wild with various props including hollowed books and feathers. The food does leave something to be desired. The menu is limited and doesn't leave much room for choice . There is a vegetarian and gluten free option. We'd love to see more variety in the future if we were going for dinner as well as cocktails. read more

We were in Pittsburgh and decided to check out this place as it looked like a great cocktail place. We decided to get some food as well so it worked out. The atmosphere is a sophisticated look that is a blend between mid century modern and art deco. Interesting blend. Service was good, not amazing, but helpful to order our drinks. My partner had the Scarecrow cocktail which was served in a bird glass. It is a sweet cocktail with vanilla, pumpkin, cocoa, amount other stuff. She said it was great!! I went with Vogue which is a bourbon, vanilla and espresso drink. It was pretty good but seemed to lack bourbon. It was good but didn't have much alcohol in it unfortunately. We ended up ordering an apple/pear harvest salad and their Brie and fig grilled cheese. The salad was great and the veggies were crisp, dressing was lite and full of flavor...great choice for what we were looking for. The grilled cheese was good but sooo rich. We each had 1/4 of the sandwich and felt like it was enough. The concept is great but maybe it had too much Brie and/or fried with too much butter. A little more fig may help to balance out the dish. All in all worth visiting but I think some of the items could have been executed better. read more

While in Pittsburgh for business, I walked into this place, which was directly across the street from my hotel, and I was not disappointed. I was greeted immediately and I chose to sit at the bar. All the bartenders were extremely friendly and immediately asked what I wanted to drink. I chose a Yuengling as my first drink and it was a great choice. However, I noticed the bartender, whose name was Nikki, kept making old fashioneds so I decided to have one. Let me just say Nikki knew what she was doing and it was by far the best old fashioned I've had. Nikki was also friendly, talkative and made me feel very welcome. Bridges is such a nice place and I like the dimly lit atmosphere with open walls alongside the sidewalk that help get more air in. There is indoor and outside seating, only thing I was bummed of is kitchen closes a bit early so if you go late know that - I think it closed by 10pm so if you are a late goer it's no fun. Haha. All of the cocktail drinks range $13 up, beers less. Cocktails could seem pricey but they are generous with the alcohol where I felt a buzz after 2 cocktails (I'm not a lightweight!) and their aesthetic is part of the experience and price! The campfire drink pictured is a smokey smooth one and he lights the little campfire to add the flavor in front of you. The purple drink, I forget the name, is really cool as you put the "smokey test tube" color of yellow in the main purple class which I named "bill nye" so delicious and cool different set up. She recommended the drunken warbler. Vanilla vodka, passion fruit, lime, and prosecco side car. It was rather sweet, but it definitely was delightful. We enjoyed ourselves and had rather a bunch of drinks while we celebrated a birthday party. Great ambiance, attentive servers, and great fries. A little small on the inside, but keeps it intimate at the same time. We loved the marble tables and creativity of the drinks. The vogue, peacock, espresso martini, and flights were great but the butterfly effect and leviosa were a little underwhelming. Still good though! The only reason we give 4/5 is because portions are small for the price. In addition, they have a carbon credit tax and a county tax. I eat out a lot and I've literally never seen this tax before? Something I found funny was our professor at school told us they have a bourbon master thing, where if you try all of their bourbons, you get to make your own drink here lol. Been here twice: once in Feb'23 and now again in June'23. Enjoyed my first experience much better than the second. What has been consistently good are the cocktails, they have really cool cocktails and a wide variety to choose from. You really cannot go wrong with anything that you pick. What hasn't been good is the food. I preferred their winter menu to this spring/summer menu. Everything we ate was lacking - Brussels sprouts, fried pickles (perhaps the best of the lot), pasta dish and chicken sandwich. It just wasn't good, that's why cutting a star. read more

What a great first experience! Cocktails were terrific, although they don't put a Cherry in the Old Fashioned. My Paloma was tall and refreshing and I could have easily had a second but I was trying to control myself. Dinner executed flawlessly for both my daughter's Bahn Mi and my Mediterranean Salmon entree. She said it was the best she ever had. And every aspect of my salmon dinner came through. ZERO STARS!!! Worst service I have ever received. My friends and I just wanted to grab a drink and chat on a Sunday night at 8 pm when we were rudely welcomed by two hostesses who already had an attitude that we walked through those doors. When we asked to sit at the bar we were told there weren't enough chairs which they then offered to give us a six person table. We sat down, had a glass of water, looked through the drink menu and then we were asked to show IDs upon ordering. Our waitress took our IDs handed them back and not even 5 minutes later the manager came back to take our IDs to the back. We were then told that our IDs had multiple issues and insulted us in front of other customers while the hostesses were eyeing us down and laughing. While leaving the hostesses were giving us snarky comments like "Good luck finding a table". I have been in multiple restaurants in not only Pittsburgh but various cities with the same group of people and we have never been treated this way. The entire management is rude, stuck up, and unprofessional. By far the worst restaurant in Pittsburgh. read more

The charcuterie board was very nice, although they didn't list the names of the cheeses, and the server could name one cheese, but not the other (sorry, that's my personal preference, I want to know about the cheeses). The entrees were prepared perfectly, the food is creative and delicious. I ordered an Australian Shiraz, which was very good, but the specialty here are the craft cocktails, which were both impressive and unique. We dined under a dome outside, which was lots of fun. This is a great alternative for COVID-19 conscious friends. On Tuesday nights, the Downtown Partnership is offering live Jazz on Penn Avenue, and this topped off a special evening. read more

After passing by and admiring the fancy drinks so many times, my boyfriend and I finally stopped in for happy hour! I wanted us to go somewhere fancy before his birthday dinner, so I made a reservation through the Yelp listing for 5:45. Their happy hour has discounted cocktails and appetizers Monday through Friday 4 - 6:30. It was a really cool vibe inside especially because they had all the windows open with live music outside. The bar was full, so I was glad we made a reservation since we were on a schedule. I am definitely not a cocktail connoisseur, so looking through the menu was a little overwhelming. I wanted to try something different than what I would usually drink. I went with the Revel In The Moment cocktail made with tempranillo, Montenegro amaro, amaretto liqueur, Cointreau, lime, orange juice, angostura. It was actually sweeter than I expected since the base was a dry red wine. It tasted like a refreshing sangria. I would definitely get it again! My boyfriend got the Painkiller, which was made up of rum, crème de coconut, pineapple, orange. It was delicious and reminded me of being at the beach. His drink tasted much stronger than the one I ordered. We liked both of our selections! We ordered the patatas bravas (potatoes) appetizer since it was only $3 for happy hour instead of $10. They were really salty and covered in garlic aioli. They were a really good snack! I also ordered the almonds, but the waitress forgot them. I never reminded her and we didn't get charged for it, so it was no problem. The service was really great! Our waters were constantly refilled and our waitress checked on us frequently. Very disappointing. Service was a mess and took forever. I made a reservation for dinner here one night. I love Bourbon so I always check out Bourbon bars when I travel. I was seated for over 20 minutes before wait staff brought a menu. I nearly went to the bar to order! He must have been new because he did not know about the menu and had to keep asking someone else. To drink I got the Bridges Smash. It was a heavy pour if you know what I mean, but a lot of crushed ice. It was refreshing. There were only 2 things on the menu according to the waiter that were gf. Jubilee Farms Filet of Tenderloin: It was a perfect cook for me: medium rare and on the rare side. Very salty though. It is very pricey but a good piece of meat. I forget what side it normally comes with but it has gluten in it so I had to order the other gf menu item: side of carrots (for an up charge!). Next time: I'll sit at the bar and just come for the drinks. read more
