    Buffalo chicken sandwich
    Talesha C.

We came here on a Thursday for a late lunch. I do not recommend the burger melt. Despite it having melted cheese and caramelized onions, it had no taste. I thought beef had a naturally salty taste but there was nothing. The buffalo chicken sandwich was decent. I think the buffalo sauce and Cole slaw saved it because the chicken didn't have much of a taste either. I ordered fries originally but they delivered potatoes to me. The server that delivered the food quickly put in an order for fries to fix the first servers error and I'm glad he did. The fries saved the meal. They were cooked perfectly and hot. I'd come back here for the fries for sure. After we got our food, the servers just forgot about us and another customer that had been there for about the same amount of time that we had. We were in the restaurant another 15 minutes trying to get the attention of a server to come give us our check. The original server never came back even though we could see him at a register near the kitchen. The new server had to ask us what our order was and ring us out under her name because our original server was doing something else nearby and not being helpful to us.

Salmon and sweet potato cakes. (Get the sauce on the side!)

Several friends in a meetup group met here for lunch on a random Tuesday. We had some drinks and chatted, and then ordered lunch. The waitress was great about bringing us everything we needed. I ordered the salmon filet on greens with sweet potato cakes. The salmon was great - perfectly cooked, and the greens seemed fresh, but the whole dish was doused in a sweet maple syrup sauce, which rendered the sweet potato cakes so soaked that I couldn't choke them down. I left most of the greens as well, since the maple syrup didn't really go with a salad. The fish was fine, as I could salt it a bit and have serve as a foil to the sauce. Everyone else seemed to enjoy their food. The Rueben looked amazing. So, the moral of the story is, when you go to a bar, don't try to eat healthy! Get the bar food.

This is a nice local restaurant with many choices on the menu. The food was excellent quality. All the dishes I saw pass by looked very good also. Our waitress was very patient when we couldn't decide that quickly. They have a very nice outdoor patio as well. I had the turkey sandwich and it was very good. I would love to come back and try some different dishes.

Stopped in for a beer while waiting on a friend. Big selection of micro brews Nice people : neat little place

We stopped by for lunch on our way home from a trip. I enjoyed a flight with various beer styles. They have 52 taps which are 80% NC beers. The food menu offers a variety of cuisine options. We started with the pork potstickers and added the BCBG buffalo wings. Service was quick and everything was delicious. Dining area is tight with tables and chairs.

    Bacon Pretzel Grilled Cheese

My wife and I came for dinner. The weather was still nice, so we got a table outside. For an appetizer we got the grilled cheese pretzel. I like salt on my pretzels, but since this had bacon in it, it still had enough saltiness. It was soft and warm and melty. Very good. We both had draft ciders. My wife had the apple pie cider, soooo good! I half wished I had ordered one too. I got the [blueberry or blackberry?] cider which was still really good, and a little tart. For an entree, I had the cowboy burger and house potatoes and my wife had the fish tacos. I love ketchup on my burger, but I ate most of it without ketchup because of the good flavor of the meat and everything on it. My wife loved her tacos. We didn't order dessert. The server was good, efficient and polite. I would definitely come back.

    Beer flight

Brier Creek Beer Garden is a great choice when you're in the mood for a great selection of beer and delicious food. There are a ton of options on their beer menu and their flights are individually priced between $3-4 each. With such a big selection, the flight is completely worth it! Our waiter was outstanding and made us feel comfortable. He was energetic and fun to be around, as well as having extensive knowledge of both the beer and food menu. We sat outside on the patio underneath an umbrella. It was definitely a nice way to enjoy some good food and beer while getting fresh air. I loved my Sausage and Sauerkraut meal. The portions were a tad bit small but big on flavor. The restrooms were clean and well stocked and the inside of the restaurant was bright but cozy with large windows and wood decor. I will definitely be back!

We live nearby and decided to stop by one evening with our dog, since it is dog friendly. We were promptly seated outside, and the server was very welcoming and made drink suggestions. We started off with the bacon and cheese pretzel which was an interesting take on a pretzel, and although the cheese was not as melted as I expected, it was still very good. Our main courses were the burger and steak tacos, which were both very savory! The ambience is really nice for an evening out and also a bonus that you can bring your dog.

Nice and pleasant staff at Brier Creek Beer Garden. Immediately welcomed and placed on the waitlist. I was seated quickly. The space was clean. There was confusion on the menu. The website directs viewers to use Tap Hunters, but the waiter explained that it wasn't the most up-to-date. This should be corrected on the website. Wait until you arrive to scan the beer menu QR code before making decisions on your brews. Overall, a good experience. I chose the lighter wheat brew (I don't recall the name). I did enjoy the beer and I'm not a huge fan of beers. The Moroccan lamb meatballs were delicious to me. Our waiter was honest and provided me with useful information to help me decide on what not to order based on my feedback. My meal and beer were inexpensive and I would come again.

    Tiny bloody Mary "special".

We stopped in on Sunday and the Bloody Mary special was a letdown. Small drink with nothing more than lemons and limes as garnish. The food was bland and the tables were dirty. Sitting outside was even worse because the misters sprayed us the entire time. I had to cover my drink and food while eating and it was gross. This place has gone downhill and we will not be back.

Bier Rocks pre pandemic. Haven't seen these on the menu at my recent visit

The service is always fun and i enjoy the open atmosphere. This Belgian-inspired brasserie continues to be one of my go-to destinations for great food, craft beer, and one of the best Painkillers in town. My must-order dish is always the crispy beer-battered pollock paired with their perfectly seasoned truffle fries. The fish is light, flaky, and fried to golden perfection, but the real star might be their housemade tartar sauce--it's absolutely addictive. A few other standouts from our table included: Savory risotto topped with seared shrimp and blistered tomatoes The NRBC Juicy Burger loaded with onion straws and beer cheese Every dish was packed with flavor, and it's easy to see why this spot remains a local favorite. Whether you're stopping in for a craft beer, cocktails, or a hearty meal, this is a place that's always worth the visit.

Seriously, if you can't find a pour you like here, you may just need water instead. Started with the biscuits topped with crackling and house-made preserves, and honestly, that combo alone made me question why I don't eat more biscuits in life. Sweet, salty, buttery chaos in the best way. For the main, I went with the pork chop and greens. The chop leaned a little overcooked for me personally, but the sauce helped bring things back together and added good flavor. The greens had a nice little kick of heat, but I kept waiting for that deep smoky ham hock flavor to show up like an old Southern grandma entering the kitchen... and it never quite arrived. Overall though? Still a solid meal, strong whiskey program, cool atmosphere, and definitely worth checking out if you're in Raleigh looking for a bourbon-forward dinner spot. If it's a beautiful day, I'd definitely recommend sitting outside instead. Still, the inside has a cozy, laid-back feel that works well. Shoutout to Qua, who was both the hostess and our server. She was welcoming, attentive, and handled everything smoothly, even as a few more parties came in while she was the only one serving at the time. One thing I really appreciated was that she let us know upfront what items were out of stock before we even looked at the menu. That level of transparency is huge and makes the experience so much better. My son ordered a slider with fries from the kids' menu. It comes with just one slider, so I ordered a second, definitely the right call. He enjoyed it, and the fries were cooked well, just a little on the salty side for our taste (ketchup helped balance that out). I had the shrimp tacos. It's packed and perfect portion for lunch. The shrimp, pineapple slaw, and chipotle mayo was a nice mix. The restaurant was clean (including the bathrooms). The location is also a plus, super close to the Art Museum, which makes it a great stop before or after visiting. Overall enjoyable, and I'd come back, especially to try more of the menu and the drinks.

I was thrilled that most of the menu was available. They were just out of the banana pudding. So I got to try the pecan wings I read about with the white sauce. It was so good. Then I got the chicken pot pie and biscuits. The pot pie had old biscuits for the topping, but the creamy mixture with large chunks of chicken was delicious. My biscuits came with honey and were served warm. I left with a slice of the chocolate-caramel-coconut cake, a side salad without onions, and a fried boneless thigh. The salad was made correctly, and the dressing was included. The salad was full of veggies, and the cake was rich and moist.
