Options were very limited so that was disappointing, we opted for the 1/2 price bottles of wine (also limited, 2 options). It was a quiet night so the bartender was also our waiter, he was great, very attentive and offered recommendations. Party of 6 we ordered a bunch of things and shared. The guacamole & mussels were very good, garlic shrimp were underwhelming. Tuna salad was huge, needed sauce or a better dressing. Dessert was disappointing (molten cake was cold, churros needed to be cooked more). Nice spot for a drink & app or a date but for dinner I'll stick to Tu Casa

Did I mention this is my first time here and meeting Oscar behind the bar. How gracious was he to stick around. We chatted about the neighborhood, the best Mexican in Queens, and how he's a fellow foodie at heart. The place is beautiful! It also has an enclosed outdoor seating area in the front. The food menu looks amazing but we were just there for a night cap. I got the Cola de Leon with bourbon, lime and bitters. Damn was it perfect. The place is small, but has so much character. I'm obsessed and can't wait to come back for food.

We asked about happy hour since Instagram said they had it, but turns out it's not a thing anymore. They owned the miscommunication and took care of us, offering $8 wine, discounts on a couple appetizers, and even a complimentary extra glass of wine to make it up. We ordered a few things off the tapas menu. The popcorn chicken, the octopus, uni and foie gras, short ribs, and beef tacos. The short ribs leaned a bit dry, but everything else was on point. Standout by far was the uni and foie gras. A little pricey for 4 pieces but very delicious. Big shoutout to the 2 staff on site, very friendly, warm and responsive throughout. I would recommend Tavern 157 if you're in the area looking for something casual with good drinks and food and not in the mood for Korean food. Just double-check happy hour before you go, as they mentioned a new one may be coming. Overall, a really enjoyable first visit.

But, the oysters tasted pretty fresh with little to no sea water taste. The interior of this restaurant is unique and interesting with nice ambiance. The service was good at first until we asked for the bill and a 20% gratuity fee was applied which is for a party of 6 or more (as stated in the menu), but we only had 5 people. When we asked the waitress about this, she said that the statement in the menu isn't updated, and that they charge this fee on weekends because it's busier (not stated in the menu). Mind you the restaurant was completely empty when we walked in at 8pm. However, the waitress did ended up refunding us the difference for the tip.

Came here with the family for a very untraditional Easter dinner…read more The place has a cool decor with the front half for the Chinese food and the back half for the Hibachi. We went with the Chinese. I started with a Pina Colada a drink I only get in Chinese Restaurants for some reason. It was good. A bit Pineapple heavy. We then ordered a bunch of dishes to split as there was 7 of us. We got Boneless Spareribs which were really good. Smaller than normal and very tender with a great sweet glaze. Mussels with Black Bean Sauce which was my favorite dish. Giant but still tender mussels in an outstanding black bean sauce. One of the best black bean sauces Ive had in a long time. Grand Marnier Shrimp which were god but not as good as the long lamented China Chalet in Lower Manhatttan version. Still solid and a dish you dont see much anymore so everyone was happy. General Tsos Chicken was very good. Not much spice but the chicken was very high quality, not spongy at all. Tangerine Beef was another solid entree. Beef was coated in a light breading and sauce was good if a bit sweet. Roast Pork Fried Rice very good quality. Not that cheap yellow style. Staff was very friendly and efficient. The people having Hibachi were having a great time. All and all a very nice change of pace from the usual Italian food which we normally get on Easter.

The food was packed with so much delicately and passion, the food presentation and taste was amazing with very authentic flavor all while being cooked perfectly. I can't wait to try the hibachi; As every dish was well-seasoned, hot, and served in generous portions. I ordered to go but still my order got home warm and ready to enjoy. The atmosphere was welcoming and lively, and the staff made sure we had an amazing time. While we were waiting for our order we even ordered some drinks that by the way were excellent such as the blue Hawaii which was divine, and even talked with the manager who just such a nice and welcoming lady. If you're looking for excellent food amazing drinks a place to have fun with friends or families delicious hibachi experience, Danny's is definitely the spot! HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

The service was good "quick" as usual. We were met as we entered the restaurant by a female service however she had a mouth full of food. We ordered the Braised Short Rib and the Chicken Tagine. We received our food within just a few minutes no more than 7-10 minutes. Although there was steam coming off of the couscous the chicken was ice cold. It was obvious that my food had been simply thrown into a microwave. The couscous although hot it was overcooked and mushy. The chicken was warm on the bottom but extremely cold as I cut into it. The Short Rib dish had the same problem. The pasta was steamy hot but the rib was cold. I really don't have a problem eating cold beef, but I can't eat cold chicken. I would have sent my dish back however it was obvious that they weren't going to make a new dish I felt they would have just nuked it longer. If I wanted nuked food I could have picked up a frozen dinner at the grocery store. Go for the wine, not the food.
