Man I wanted this to be a 4 or5 star place. It had the potential. The vibe is awesome. The bartender was amazing. The menu looks good. The brisket was a solid four out of five. The kielbasa was a two out of five and the mac & cheese was a zero out of five. They did have a nice bourbon and beer selection, but I just can't give it above three stars because of how bad the Kabasa and the mac & cheese tasted. The mac & cheese should be taken off the menu

Stopped in late on a Friday night near the end of March around 8 PM, just as the crowd was thinning out. Before I even walked inside, the parking lot had that unmistakable smell of meat still on the smoker, which immediately got my expectations up. That's usually a good sign. Inside, there was live music and the place had a relaxed Texas-style feel that worked. For context, I graduated college in Texas and still get back there several times a year. When I'm traveling through Fort Worth, I make a point to stop at places like The Original Black's, Terry Black's, Pinkerton's, and Kreuz Market, so that's the frame of reference I'm bringing with me here. The brisket had a decent bark and good texture, but the overall flavor was a little underwhelming compared to what I look for in Texas-style barbecue. It wasn't bad by any means, just missing some of the depth and richness that makes brisket memorable. I can say it's the best brisket I've had locally in South Carolina so far, but it's also the only brisket I've tried locally, so take that for what it's worth. I also want to be fair here because doing brisket well is harder than most people realize. The collards were excellent and clearly cooked with intention. Plenty of meat worked into them and real flavor throughout. Definitely one of the highlights of the plate. The traditional tray setup felt slightly uneven. The white bread was a little stale, the single slice of onion felt minimal, and the pickle spear was a bit unexpected compared to what you usually see with Texas-style service. Service was fine but landed squarely in the middle. Nothing wrong with it, just not especially memorable. This is also a seasonal coastal location, and visiting late in the evening in March probably gives a different experience than peak summer hours. Overall, if you're looking for Texas-style barbecue in South Carolina, this is still a worthwhile stop, especially when you catch that smoke smell in the parking lot on the way in.

Went here for a quick lunch before checking out Myrtle Beach. Immediate great smell of smoked meat upon entering. Small slightly dark & bar-like inside, lots of TVs. Lots of outdoor seating but too hot to be outside. Well - mixed feelings. Was the meat good - yes. But, 3 thin slices of brisket (1/4lb)+ 1side they call 'premium' of Mac+Cheese(+$1.)= $18dollars. Seems high to us, & my Hubbie not even full after that- means Too Much$ for what it is. Good But Tourist Prices !!!! He said also the Mac & cheese wasn't very cheesy or seasoned- kind of liquidy. My pulled pork was good (1/4lb plate for$13. However the collard greens were also a ' premium' side. We Both agreed while good , the $32.+ tax lunch was a lot for a Small lunch. Would Not Return-Disappointed + Feeling Ripped Off

If you're looking for deeply smoked bbq with great southern flavors, this isn't the place. If you're looking for a locals hangout to support a friend's business, this is all you. We chose this place because they boasted a beef rib. I was so very disappointed in the food. We started with the deviled eggs and fried green tomatoes. There are no words for the deviled eggs. They were salted and paprika-ed and that's all I can say. The fried green tomatoes-maybe my hopes were too high in an off season? They couldn't have been freshly made, and if they were...wow. I was able to redeem them by adding salt and the sauce they came with had a nice flavor. I ordered the beef rib with potato salad and baked beans. The beef rib was the lowest quality, fattiest, most flavorless piece of meat I've ever had. It wasn't tender. If it weren't for the sauce on the table, I wouldn't have eaten what I did. The potatoes in the potato salad were a little hard and it was virtually flavorless. The best thing on my plate were the baked beans and that's because they lent some flavor to the potato salad when I mixed the two. The brisket dinner that my husband got came with 2 very small pieces of brisket, and he ordered the Mac n cheese-which is supposedly award winning, and a salad. They asked him if he wanted everything on the salad (cheese, cucumbers, onions), but no mention of Fritos which were on the salad. Maybe we got the tail end of a bad batch of the Mac n cheese? It was flavorless with overcooked noodles. I did see someone else's and it was piping hot with a cheese pull. My husband also ended up eating the majority of the beef rib, which is only because he was raised not to waste. I seriously wanted to love it, but just couldn't. I felt bad when someone came in and asked us if it was worth it and we just nodded and smiled. I should've known when I wasn't being hit by the smoke from a smoker on our way through the parking lot. It's a nice space with nice country charm though. You can feel the locals support as they gather at the bar. And the servers are nice. That's why there are 3 stars.

We had to wait for about 30 minutes on a Friday night to get seated. The restaurant is very small inside. While we were waiting a local came and picked up an order to go. She said that's the best way during the busy seasons. The inside reminds me of an old saloon. Mismatched tables and chairs. Loved it! Brisket was really good had good flavor. Ribs weren't my favorite. Burnt ends three or four of them were all fat. That is disappointing when you only get 8-10 that half were not edible. Took some peanut butter pie home. It was so good! Highly recommend.

Wow!!! I know the south has some good bbq, but damn!!! Brisket is named appropriately as that is one of their signature meats. We stopped here for dinner and bellied up to the bar. For starters we had drinks and the deviled eggs...yum!! We both had their combo plate with pick your own meats and sides. In total, we had brisket, chicken, ribs and turkey. The smokiness of each meat was unlike any meat I've had! We shared sides of Mac n cheese, baked beans and potato salad. The baked beans, though so simple, were really delish. We topped off dinner with peach cobbler a la mode. Every single thing here is scratch made and Shane was an awesome help! Def recommend!!

From the smell of smoked meats as I approached the building, I was hoping for something much better than I received. This was a colossal disappointment in regards to my expectations based on others reviews. $20+ for a 2-meat combo of 2 slices of brisket that were dry and cold. I prefer fatty brisket but can do lean when it's tender. This wasn't. The 2nd meat was hot links. Links yes, hot no. But they were smoked so... Got a paper container of baked beans, quarter slice of dill pickle, a strand of an onion slice, and a day-old half-slice of bread. The only thing that kept this from being 1-Star was the cold Shiner Bock. If you're gonna have bbq, you gotta have a Shiner. Having moved from Texas, I know good brisket. This wasn't. Stick to the seafood in Myrtle Beach, or try the brisket sandwich from Arby's. Maybe other things on the menu might have made the experience better but I'll never know because I'll be taking this place off my list of Myrtle go-tos.

The best bang for your buck in Myrtle Beach. We had a late start to the day and we all felt like we were starving, so we looked on Yelp and found Brisket. As soon as you walk in you can just smell the BBQ and it smells amazing. We decided to order the 'Feed Bag'. The amount of food was overwhelming. We were a party of 4 and this. Old have easily fed 8-10 people. Everything tasted delicious. Also the staff was amazing. This was a great experience. We will definitely be back.

Rare 5 Star Review Delicious - wonderful owner What a great find! Shane makes some mean bbq! The brisket and burnt ends were awesome! My wife's hotline and pulled pork were also damn good! Sides of bbq beans and Mac n cheese were on point and rounded out the fabulous meal. Drinks were great, Shane man's the bar and is great for some good conversation and trying his different infused tequilas. Plenty of beer variety on tap too. If you want some authentic Texas style bbq, this is THE place! Thanks

If you're into smoked meats, this spot is worth a try for dinner. The brisket was on the fatty side, but the pulled pork was solid. Skip the mac & cheese--it was barely warm and just plain unappetizing. The greens had great flavor, but the kitchen needs to ditch the tough stems. Great atmosphere and friendly service, although the staff seemed a bit overwhelmed when the restaurant was packed - which is usually a good sign that it's popular. There was live music the night we visited, which added to our experience. The guitarist walking through the bar singing catchy tunes to guests. It's true...many of the guests here are locals. An interesting detail shared by who I believe was the owner - who was also helping to serve tables - was that much of the restaurants decor and furnishings including the "longhorns" were shipped from Texas. I ordered the two meat combo with brisket and ribs. Both had good flavor, but they were a little drier than I prefer. Overall, it was an enjoyable visit with a lively atmosphere, good food, and an owner that clearly takes pride in his business. My apologies for not taking pictures of my meal.

We decided to do a call in order because we could tell by the Parking lot they were very busy. The staff employee that took our order, was very friendly and helpful. We decided to order some of their popular selections and they didn't disappoint us. Everything we ordered was seasoned very well and tasted great. The portions were very plentiful, so a couple could easily share a meal. I'm positive that we will return for another visit, the next time we're in the area.

Excellent experience at this barbecue restaurant. Friendly bartender and servers. Decent size bar with a small dining room. Patio opening soon. Nachos were ok. Variety of options to choose from on the menu. I ordered a tray with brisket, ribs, and kielbasa. Also had Mac n cheese and coleslaw. Brisket was amazing. Tender with great flavor. Ribs were perfectly good and fell off the bone. The option for you to sauce them how you wish makes the dinner even better with all the flavors on the table. Kielbasa was also very good. Both sides were delicious. My wife moved her burger and fries. Also, my daughter said the cheese quesadilla was very good.

This could have been such a five star experience. You walk in and it has a dive bar feel. Ok it is billed as an authentic bbq joint. The first observation is a large puddle of water from some type of leak in the dining area. No big deal just walk around it. Service was slow but you have to wait for quality. The food comes and it looks amazing. First bite it IS amazing. So much so that I had to immediately brag to our server how good the food was...I was a little too early on the compliments. As I go for the next bite post compliment....oops there is a hair. Definitely not mine or that of my guest. Dang there goes the entire experience. I look again and there is a second hair...are you kidding me. Pictures attached. Good thing I had already stopped eating. I did not bring it to the attention of our server. A bit later I heard a plastic glass drop in the kitchen behind me. I didn't think anything of it because like a good baked potato I was already done with this experience. As we approach the car my guest shares with me that the staff picked up the dropped glass, examined it, and filled it with water which was then served to another table. Wow....the 5 second rule really? The saddest thing about the entire gig was that I was ambitious and ordered the most amazing dish. A hush puppy pancake collard and fried green tomato sandwich with fries. My first and only three bites were great. Just a disappointment. read more

Naming your restaurant "Brisket" is a bold statement. I say this because you better have a good brisket if it bears the name of the restaurant. We ate there less than 24 hours apart. This is by far the best BBQ we have ever had! I say this having eaten BBQ in both Texas and Alabama. The brisket was amazing! Tender and melts In your mouth. The one thing that really sets this restaurant apart is the portions. You really get your money's worth here. Everything is made fresh daily. Best coleslaw and collards I have ever had. We ordered two sides thinking it would not be enough. We shared both sides there was so much. If you are in Myrtle Beach you have to eat here. read more

Passing through and saw the reviews. I hope hoping for a really good meal. Unfortunately the brisket was made some days before. It was very dry and only Luke warm and the amount was surprising very minimal. No issues if the amount giving was worth it. Bummer! I gave 2 starts because the G-kids enjoyed their burgers and the hush puppies. I want to try them again but I'm very hesitant. Must have caught them at a bad time or the wrong person in the kitchen. Should have put Paul O in the kitchen. ;) read more

Just ate at brisket and dang, that was really good! That was the best beef brisket I've had outside of Texas, and possibly including it! I had a three combo with brisket, pulled pork, and pulled chicken. Everything was moist and tender - even the chicken! But that beef was the best! I was Impressed By the selection of good beers to wash it all down with. Skip the calabash crap that is all over this area. Save yourself the effort and head straight to Brisket! read more

Picked this place based off of other Yelp reviews and it was pretty amazing. So authentic and everything was cooked so well. Had a little of everything that we shared. The ribs and the brisket were the favorites in our group. Highly recommend this restaurant. If there is a wait, it's 100% worth it. It's popular, and for a good reason. Good authentic BBQ. Shane, the owner was very friendly. And our sweet waitress was very attentive. Our first time to South Carolina (we are from the west coast) and this restaurant was our favorite stop so far. Make sure to save room for the homemade desserts too. Pecan pie and peach cobbler for the win! read more

Our dinner was amazing!!! So glad we stopped in before they closed on Christmas Eve. The Pit-master & waitresses were terrific. We ordered The Feed Bag--the meat was absolutely delicious!!! It was suppose to feed 4-5 people. We had a lot of leftovers for another 1-2 meals for our family. Definitely got our money's worth. Will stop again when we're in the area. read more

This place clearly has a stellar reputation already but just wanted to put in my two cents anyway. The food was SO SO SO GOOD!! Every thing we ordered. The atmosphere was very chill and laid back and despite it being a bar too it was very kid friendly. Our server was so warm and personable and had a laugh that was contagious. Since they were not offering outdoor seating we placed an order to go. The food was all really good and the waiter was really nice. It took a little bit of time - understandably so - the community was just reopening and ALL business were looking for help since the pandemic kept the foreign workers out and kept the college kids at home. Did I mention the bartender, was a nice dude. We enjoyed conversing with him while we had a beer and waited for out food. We'll be back. read more

Wow! This is one place you don't want to miss! Amazing and authentic BBQ! Brisket is tender, juicy and full of amazing smoked flavor! The fries that come with the sandwiches just add to the enjoyment. The Mac & Cheese is soooo good you'll swear that your grandma is in the back cooking up the cheesy goodness!!! Wait staff was friendly and they know how to move! So if your in the area and looking for amazing food with a great value this is the PLACE!! read more

Went here while on vacation after being suggested by a local. My husband ordered a brisket Philly, and I ordered the 2-meat combo (kielbasa and ribs) with greens and baked beans. Everything was pretty good. My husband enjoyed his sandwich. I enjoyed the ribs the most because they were very tender, meaty, and the sweet bbq sauce was good with them. I also enjoyed the baked beans, too. read more

Very small dining area and bar area. Nice selections of bourbon for flights. Pork and chicken are good. Sausage was not very good and almost mummified hard. Service is very good. Baked beans were a disappointment as an up charge for them. Coke slaw not tasty. Did not try brisket but ribs my friend goat were very good (beef ribs) not baby back. read more

It's a bar, so lots of loud obnoxious people. If you've had real BBQ then you know this is average at best. They randomly won't seat people. Have had times they wouldn't allow takeout - all food is premade so not sure what's tough about scooping it out for a couple orders. Overall a disappointment after being there a handful of times to give them chances. read more

My family recently visited NMB and we ordered BBQ the first night we arrived. Ordering was easy and the staff were super friendly. We had a party of nine and we ordered the Feed Bag. Thanks to other Yelpers we knew that the Feed Bag would be enough to feed our entire party even though the menu says its only feeds 4-5. It was a TON of food: beef and pork ribs, brisket, pulled pork, half a roasted chicken, roasted turkey slices, hush puppies, and three sides (e.g., collards, baked beans, cole slaw). We fell into it (we were hungry) and it didn't disappoint. The beef ribs were the standout--they fell off the bone and were flavored well--with the pulled pork, pork ribs, and brisket a close second. The turkey was a little dry but the hush puppies and sides made up for that. Recommend if you're in town. read more

It's more like 4.5 stars. We searched Yelp for some delicious bbq and we found it. We ordered a lot of different things to try and we weren't disappointed. We ordered from here tonight. We ordered a ton of stuff to try. We ordered hush puppies, deviled eggs, Mac and cheese, potato salad, Frito pie, burnt ends, pulled pork, hot link and brisket. We have so much leftover it's ridiculous. So the burnt ends were delicious, as was the pulled pork and brisket. The hot link lived up to its name and was spicy but delicious. The deviled eggs were okay, nothing to write home about but good. The hush puppies, although very dark were quite good. My wife had the potato salad and said it was good but very mustardy. The Mac and cheese was nothing to write home about. The Fritto pie was almost looked over because there was so much food. I tried a little and found it to be quite good. I would definitely go back. We did take out as Myrtle has been declared a Covid hotspot and didn't want to be around others. I will say that the staff inside were so very nice. Next time, hopefully we will dine in. read more

This place offers some great BBQ! It's your typical hole in the wall kind of joint with friendly staff. I had the brisket with cole slaw and it was delicious. They offer a good selection of craft beer and drinks. Put this at the top of your lisr for places to check out when in the area. read more

I've eaten BBQ all over the country and this is top 5 best BBQ I've ever had. The staff is so nice. Pork rinds come out with a sizzle and pop in your mouth, taco dip is very good. If you can swing it with a group- order the family sampler for $100. The volume of food is incredible and you will have a lot to take home - it beat a group of 4 of us. Literally everything is great and you cannot go wrong, but my favorites are the polish sausage & of course the brisket. read more

When you walk in you see a sign that says please wait to be seated, but then you are yelled at from the bartender from behind the bar to the front door to seat yourself and everyone at the bar drinking turns around and looks at you. There are flys landing on your table and your drink straws. Dead flys in windows and other bugs. The price of the food is way over priced for how it made. I understand the process of BBQ however this is not what you want. Hush puppies are insanely high for the amount that you get. French fries are burnt and if you asked for more or a correction of your food, attitudes go flying and you are under minded. Burgers don't fit the buns either. If you are on vacation, don't eat here. We've been here a few times now during vacation. If you like BBQ, and you are anywhere near North Myrtle Beach (the grand strand) put this place on your list. Shane (owner) has created some great recipes here. Ordered 2 x 3 meat platters for dinner. That way we get to try 6 meats and 4 sides. I already knew that I needed DOUBLE COLLARD GREENS. They are the best. As I sat down at the bar to pickup my carry out order, so my wife could spend more time at the beach, Shane poured me a local draft brown ale. Cold and smooth. Then he mentioned a new appetizer, brisket burnt ends, sautéed in a skillet with whiskey, brown sugar, and his own BBQ sauce, with his special, spicy pimento cheese. Had to have that with an ale. WOW! just WOW!. 4 other people seated at the bar, 2 locals, and 2 other vacationers. Everyone had the STICKY BURNT ENDS as Brisket calls them. I placed a to go order last night for my entire family while on vacation here. The gentleman that gave me the to go order was extremely nice. That's why it pains me to write this review. This was possibly the worst barbecue I've had in my entire life. Everything from the Brisket to the ribs and pulled pork were bone dry and totally unseasoned. Everything was flavorless. The spare rib "dinosaur bone " is epic. They nail Texas BBQ. Best I have found in the south, and I have smoked BBQ in competition. Little costly but eat it for lunch and you won't need dinner. They have the BEST ribs, brisket, etc. Make sure to get the homemade fresh pork skins with the house pimento cheese. It is wonderful and great to take home for the next day. My family prefers the brisket, but I am a rib girl, and theirs are meaty and cooked perfectly. I was here on vacation and decided to try this bbq spot and I'm so happy I did! This maybe the best bbq I've had. My husband got the duke burger it was giant and just as juicy as they described on the menu. We both got the Mac n cheese as our sides it was so good not too greasy and had great texture from the noodles. I got an order of 6 ribs and I was shocked by the large portion when it came out. Once I bit in I was in heaven, the perfect smokey flavor, fall off the bone tender and not too fatty. Then I tried their 4 different kinds of bbq sauces; the Texas Stinger sauce was so freakin good and not overly spicy. My husband also ate one of my ribs and I still had a bunch to take in my Togo box. The staff here were so friendly, welcoming, and the perfect amount of attentive. I felt right at home! The price of our meal was $43 before tip and it felt like a steal! I'm so bummed this place is two hours away from me because I'd love to eat here on the regular. They're not kidding either when they say bbq saloon! You walk in and it really feels like a western vibe including dark walls and laughing loud bar patrons. Jeff and Laney Vallancey are the owners of Brisket and Rockefellers Raw Bar (2004) Jeff is from Texas and has been smoking meats all his life and opening a BBQ Saloon/Restaurant has been a life long dream. Laney loves to grow vegetables, herbs and peppers in her garden to use in making meals from scratch. So together we have created BRISKET. The design of the building inside and out is from Jeff's love of the old west and Laney's love of riding and showing horses as a child in West Virginia along with a lot of help from Laney's son Shane and his company Southern Construction.

My friends and I went here and were blown away by the great food and the awesome experience that we had. We got to meet the manager and even take a tour of the kitchen. The food was amazing in terms of flavor profile and pallet appeal. The sauces added a lot more variety and flavor to what could come of each plate as well. We didn't even expect to see how big the ribs were or how perfectly cooked the ribs, pulled pork, and brisket were. The service was great and we felt a real connection to our server, Angela. My group of friends, all being culinary arts majors in college and being from very different parts of the country, we're all please and said it was better than most, if not all southern bbq restaurants. That, coming from pallets the that were brought up with very different foods, means a lot. They can please so many people with their food. We saw how much of a great connection the customers made with the management and staff when we were about to leave, but ended up having a full conversation with the customers and the manager. It basically felt like they work to create a family feel,while being away from home. Personally, that is a major factor that I look for in a good restaurant. All in all, we were all very please with what we got out of this restaurant and we will definitely be going back. The brisket was the star of the show, the ribs were decent and the pulled pork was ok but the brisket...have I told you about the brisket! Buttery, great crust, melt in your mouth deliciousness. The hush puppies were also on point. My daughter said the corn was better than my grandmothers, though I won't tell her that. We loved it so much, we are going to dinner there tomorrow night as well. I tend to be more on a high protein - low carb plan these days. We were already at Broadway at the Beach and I thought BBQ might work well so we headed over toward Sweet Carolina's. I've been there once before and kinda remembered liking the place and thought they had some funny signage to boot. We got there, walked up the ramp and "waited to be seated". There was one person ahead of us and they had already been there for 5 minutes. The place had some customers but it was still early and far from packed. Well, we waited and waited for a good 10 minutes until we were seated by a friendly hostess who turned out to also be only 1 of 2 wait staff working. I now remembered my last experience here which included good food but a long wait to get seated. We got to a nice, clean booth with a good view of the place and and started to look at the menu as the waitress hustled up a red wine for my dad and a seltzer water for me. When she returned we gave her our order which included a spicy chicken gumbo app for me followed by a three meat plate of smoked turkey, smoked BBQ chicken and ribs for me and a two meat plate of pulled smoked chicken and pulled pork for my dad. I ordered green beans as my side and my dad ordered hand cut fries. After a few minutes the food surprisingly appeared rather quickly. I was expecting a longer wait time because of how long it took to get seated but the food came out fast. It was hot and smelled great. My father commented, saying "they give you a lot of food in this place"...and he sure was right. We dove right in. I started with the spicy chicken gumbo which was spicy, hearty and tasty with bits of smoked sausage and shredded chicken. It was a meal in itself. I then went after the main event and started with the smoked turkey. It had a nice hickory smoked taste but was a tad dry. The chicken was much better. It was moist, smoky and fell off the bone. The BBQ sauce was outstanding with a bit of a kick to it. The ribs were soft, moist and smokey. The green beans were also tasty with hints of pork and a nice smoked flavor. My dad loved his pulled smoked chicken and even liked the pork(he's not a big pork eater these days!). He said it "has a nice flavor" and that it was "great". It was soft, tender and juicy. He loved the fries(always his favorite part of the meal). This was most I've seen him eat in one sitting in quite a while so I know he enjoyed it. We declined dessert as we were both stuffed. By this time the restaurant has become crowded so I asked for the check to open up our booth for other customers The check came quickly and I paid. Overall, the food was very good, the place was clean and had a nice "country vibe" and after the initial long wait to be seated the wait staff was excellent, attentive and very friendly. Whenever, I'm in the mood for BBQ at Broadway on the Beach, I'll be heading here.
