Broadway Bobby's does chicken finger subs just a little bit better than everywhere else, that I've found. Thing is expensive like everywhere, but it's a beast of a sub. Also, the cold subs are good. The greek wraps and tacos are large and good. The ambiance inside isn't much. A few tables and some refrigerated drink coolers, a clean bathroom and some slices at the counter. Food, service The food was barely cooked. I ordered wings and pepperoni pizza. Wings are supposed to be medium hot extra saucy. It was like eating chicken wings that you purchased in the frozen food aisle and then nuke them in the microwave. The pizza was no better when I called to complain. I basically was told that it was my fault for not requesting extra crispy chicken wings. I didn't know I had to request for them to be more than just warmed up. Very rude. Order curly fries and cheese sticks. The grease is so old that the cheese sticks were hard and dark brown, basically over cooked. The curly fries were not fresh at all. There were burnt and reheated. $14.00 dollars later and nothing to eat. I will be checking all orders before leaving from now on. If I ever order again. Change the grease. Great pizzeria/deli located in Lackawanna. They have a large extensive menu of different sandwhiches, subs, salads and pizza. Prices are about average for the area. The food was great. We walked in there with a group of 8 people and they managed to bring all of our food out at the same time and hot! I ordered a small chicken souvlaki salad and it was very big. We loved Broadway Bobbies. We ordered last night and to say we were disappointed would be an understatement. I ordered the Chicken Souvlaki salad. In the past there was chunks of seasoned chicken. Toady there was diced up or shredded chicken that was crunchy as a rock in some spots and didn't taste the same. There was hardly any lettuce in it. My wife ordered the taco salad and immediately stated it didn't taste the same. My son ordered the chicken/bacon ranch pizza and he also said it didnt taste the same. When my wife went to pick up the order she thought it may be under new management as there were some new people working there. I buy from them fairly often for work, and so this is based on multiple experiences. 1. They have the BEST chicken fingers, and their fried foods are amazing. Perhaps they are on top of changing the fryer oil, but holy cow they just do an amazing job. 2. They are busy, so your food will be ready on time, however if you love being coddled as a customer, that's not going to happen. Get your stuff and go! My office is right down the street and we literally order here at least once a week. I am a huge sub for lunch kind of girl and have tried several places in the South Buffalo/Lackawanna area and can say Broadway Bobby's is hands down the best! It's nice to go somewhere that you frequent where people know your name and the little things like ask if you're feeling better because they heard you were sick...everyone who works here that I have dealt with is incredibly personable. I love that they offer more than just one sub of the month...who doesn't like saving money :). $6 for a whole sub that's LOADED? I'll take it! Besides their food just tasting good, their prices are unbeatable. We have ordered places where I have paid $10 for a sub with barely any toppings- and MICROWAVABLE bacon. That is a disgrace! The Good, the bad, and the ugly. Trying to spread across the menu. I've found more bad than good around Broadway Bobby's. Which I was more than disappointed about, since I've seen fairly rave reviews. I have only gone post pandemic, so maybe times have changed. But this is just one mans take on things. Good: The Onion rings are delicious. And the Large is a huge portion for the price! Additionally, they have a great pop selection for a pizzeria. Hidden gem from the 4 Pepsi/Coke options you're usually offered. Bad: Both times ordering a sub from there have been disappointing. The modest pricing speak of the quality you're handed. Both my salami sub and my Turkey sub had a mere 5-6 slices of deli meat to them. And, both times, brown lettuce. And a forgotten extra item (Hot Peppers, and Pickles.) Ugly: The PIZZA. While I haven't had the opportunity, nor will I spring on the opportunity. Their pizza sauce is really bad. It tastes like minestrone soup. I'm not trying to drag the product, or the tradition. But it's very far from traditional Buffalo, or traditional pizza sauce alone. I couldn't not recommend this hard enough. Stop in for a fried appetizer, maybe even some chicken fingers. It's not on Broadway, and there are no Bobbies here (as in Policemen - it's British slang). If there were, they would have prevented the bizarre experience I had when I came here for pizza. The sign on the wall says "great service", but not so much if the delivery driver is around. So I was pulling up in front and my Pizza-sharing buddy has a really sore knee, so I backed up to stop right in front of the door so she had the least possible number of steps to go inside. The delivery driver obviously likes that spot, and was pulling up just after this, and blared his horn at me for taking what apparently was his spot. He also yelled some sort of obscenities and made some hand gestures. I ignored him, and proceeded to let my friend out of the car. At this point, he stunt-driver style pulls in right in front of me, puts it in reverse, and backs up as fast as possible (on an icy road) as if he's going to ram my front end with his rear end (sounds kinky but I assure you it's not). Then he slams on his brakes at the last minute just before he hits me. It didn't remotely scare me, it was just obnoxious. Then he got out, slammed the door, and muttered and stared at me as he walked in. Once inside, he gave the evil eye to us and generally made the whole experience quite weird, hilarious, and annoying. Juxtaposed against that, the actual employees of the store were extremely friendly. They heated the white slice up for us (and explained that they always cook slice pies three quarters of the way so that they can finish cooking it to order), and were generally very nice. The slice itself was very good. It had great flavour and tomatoes and onions. It could have been a little hotter and fresher, it was a decent size (not huge) and I liked it. Without the delivery driver experience, I'd have given it a 5/5 though not one of my absolute faves in the city. But after all that is thrown in there, it averages out to a 4. This is excellent Pizza though. It's very close to my all-time fave (Imperial) so I don't know how well it will do, but it's good and it's right in the heart of Lackawanna, and I wish it very well. I also wish they would have a word with their driver. I think he's looking for a fight. I think he misinterpreted "the customer is always right" with "the customer is always to be given a right-hook." read more

The people work there are really humble and nice people. The pizza was yummy and so cheap. They have take out order and also a place for sitting down. It is a quite place to sit and eat food. They bring the food with a plates on your table. The staff are really friendly and nice. They have special pizza Monday & Wednesday . I ordered the mushroom and tomatoes pizza and was yummy. For food and staff I would say the place is 5 stars but for hangout or the sitting area, although they have a huge space but not a catchy spot. It was mostly good for quick bite to go :) read more

Based on the Yelp reviews, we stopped here on our way through for my husband to get a sub. Let's first talk about the actual restaurant - if you are standing at the counter, the floor in the back is filthy. If the sub was super good, I could possibly overlook that (maybe?) IDK...maybe with the rationale that you can't see in the back of a lot of restaurants and don't know what those are like and could potentially be like that.... But the sub...he ordered roast beef. He asked if it is rare (as we like super rare RB for a sub) and the woman taking the order said yes. It was not rare and it smelled old/bad. It was pre-sliced and the man making it went into a cooler to grab it. I am not sure how long before it had been sliced but it was obviously too long! We got it to go so that I could continue driving. Therefore, there was no choice to return it, as we would have if we dined in. Plus the amount of meat/cheese/veggies was no more than you'd get on a subway sub. The only positive that I can say is that they toast the sub roll first. I love a toasted sub roll. My plan was to steal a bite or two of his sub, since I had already eaten. BUT I could tell it was not even going to be worth it, so I passed. Atmosphere NONE. Cleanliness not sure. Steak Hoagie - AWESOME! On our last trip to Buffalo I wanted a steak hoagie the way I remembered them to be when I was a teenager growing up in Buffalo. The place on Seneca street closed and I didn't know where to go. We happened on Broadway Bobby's by mistake really, too tired and hungry to care and we were pleasantly surprised by the quality and flavor of the hot hoagies. So I ordered a delivery for a chicken salad I asked for cheddar cheese instead of mozzarella cheese and added bacon to the salad .. upon reviving the salad there was white cheese on it I assumed it was mozzarella I called and the owner said they only have cheddar jack mix when I asked for just cheddar way to communicate with your customers not to mention I got charged for extra cheese when simply I wanted to swap the cheeses out I won't ever order from this place ever again and when I spoke to the owner he didn't even compensate for his wrong horrible customer service and didn't want to make things right !!!! read more

They mess up your order practically everytime and if you get delivery and they mess it up it takes another 45 minutes for them to deliver the correct order. When they promise 45 minutes for delivery, be grateful if you get it within an hour to hour and half and your food is still hot! (Not likely) We used to order here all the time but just fed up with their poor service so we now order from Blasdell Pizza and their food is RIGHT EVERY TIME! And their delivery isn't so packed that the poor delivery guy doesn't have a chance to make it on time! read more

Every time I visit home in Buffalo this is the first place I go to. Wings are delicious (they make their delicious sauce in house) and the pepperoni pizza is fantastic. The review about having the slices cooked 3/4 is right but they do that just because they rather warm it for you than serve you a dry piece of pizza.
