First time here. We were on our way to the Dells and hungry for some breakfast. The place has a nice retro feel to it. The stainless steel diner has been well cared for and updated enough to make it more comfortable for staff and customers. There are some tables out front and two different seating areas inside (it's bigger than it looks). All the cooking is done behind the counter, where you can see it all happening. It can be a bit noisy as the metal spatulas hit the grill, but you can still have a reasonable conversation. It's a busy place, and the servers are efficient, with a no nonsense approach to taking your orders. The menu is large, with lots of traditional favorites (no avocado toast here). There were two pages of breakfast items, and it was a tough decision. We ordered a number of different items: corned beef hash, pancakes, and potato pancakes with eggs and sausage. It did not take very long to get our food. Very good portions, everything was plenty hot, and all flavorful. Everyone was happy with their choices. The corned beef hash was not the kind you get from a can. It was large, fresh pieces. The pork sausages were plump and well seasoned. The poached eggs were perfect. My only complaint: I ordered my potato pancakes extra crispy, but they didn't seem "extra" to me (extra extra crispy next time). The regular pancakes were good, but not fluffy enough to be "excellent". A very nice place for breakfast, and somewhere we would return to.

What a unique experience in Baraboo Wisconsin. It felt like stepping back in time. This beautiful nostalgic 1950s type diner is fantastic. It is small, but we had great service and a great breakfast. Not to mention the aesthetics. If you're looking for a great little breakfast place that offers a unique experience, you found it here.

Wouldn't return, I really wanted to like it I did, from the outside super cute. Inside cramped and loud. I don't even mind cramped and loud per se but then my Bloody Mary wasn't great. Weak. The mix was like tomato juice nothing to jazz it up. I had the eggs benedict it was just kind of flat, the hollandaise lacked seasoning and flavor just tasted like blah. My husband said the same of his meal. Which I can't even remember what he had it was so forgetful. The homemade bread was the reason I gave one star for the effort. Not good. Won't be back. Oh and the ham was so thin there is no way it could get any thinner.

Driving through Wisconsin going home to Wheaton, Illinois from Eden Prairie, MN, my hubby had me search for a highly rated, yet affordable brunch place along the way. Broadway Diner is a little off the main southbound highway, but when I read the story behind it and some positive reviews, I really wanted to try it out. How cool is it that this is an actual old time, well used diner from the East Coast that was transported to the Midwest and restored to its original beauty! Frank Sinatra era music played pleasantly in the background. Very happy and friendly wait staff wearing black shirts that said "Body by Bacon" greeted and served us. I loved the hollandaise sauce atop the Farmers Market Benedict Scramble I ordered, and that it came with a side of fresh fruit. My husband's Corned Beef Hash was a bit salty for him. Coffee wasn't as robust as we like it, but not bad. All in all, a very pleasant experience.

Who would've guessed....a delicious, juicy ribeye steak and eggs at a 50s style diner! But yes! And it was a very good steak. Not one of those thin breakfast steaks but a real ribeye! Hash browns perfectly seasoned, buttery and crispy! And a homemade sourdough toast to top it off!

A rather simple diner with great prices. Staff were friendly and the food was basic, but good. It was very busy, so, I'd guess it's popular with locals. You don't come across many like this anymore & it hit the spot, as nobody wanted to cook.

Ambiance - perfect for a diner Service - good Food - excellent (including the coffee!) My wife and I had breakfast this morning at Broadway Diner, and we were very pleased. We are outside on the patio, but inside ambiance was *exactly* what a diner should be: small booths and a counter overlooking the griddle. I ordered the Southwest Benedict Scramble, and my wife had the Portabella Benedict Scramble. Both were fantastic. An added bonus: some diner coffee can be bottom-rung, but Broadway Diner's coffee was rich, dark, and flavorful. We would definitely recommend for breakfast!

Phenomenal breakfast. Prime Rib Hash is the best. Old fashioned diner and feel. Fast and friendly service.

Best breakfast for 1000 miles. Innovative and unique selections flawlessly executed. I don't mind driving 45 minutes to eat here at all.

Glad I didn't read the negative reviews first - I might have gone elsewhere and missed out. Anyhow,…read moreI ordered the eggs benedict, a coffee, and a bloody mary. The coffee was so-so, but the rest was delicious. My partner ordered French toast with strawberries, chocolate milk, and an orange juice. The orange juice tasted freshly squeezed and was perfectly pulpy. Nothing here was fancy, just a solid breakfast with friendly service. Prices are fair, we cleaned our plates, and left full & happy. They were open on Labor Day, which I appreciate.
