I have been here several times with consistent service. You order at the register, grab your drink and your food is brought to you. The food is always tasty and reasonably priced. It can get a little noisy, but it's regular coffee shop noise. I will be back.

Initial counter experience leaves a Lot to be desired. I adore pastitsio. That is what brought me here - seeing it on the menu was exciting so I came right here and in spite of the cost I was willing to give it a try. The best part of the meal was the acceptable iceberg salad. The zucchini was nicely roasted and the bland potatoes were also nicely cooked. Everything else? Hard pass. Seriously. The supposed-to-be creamy and unctuous pasta dish was. Quite literally. Burnt. What an utter disappointment. Tatziki was plain. Little to speak of but strained yogurt. Which was fine. Hummus was grainy and yet somehow flavorless. Pita was toasted but hard. Gentleman who brought me my food was nice. He smiled and was courteous. Then again. If he was responsible for serving actual burnt inedible garbage then that gives me pause as well. The place is clean and kept up with. The menu is almost formidable in length but makes some level of sense. Telling the folks who told me about this place to avoid this dish. We had talked about it and I was raving about it generally and noted I've been trying to find a local place that served it. I will keep looking. If I were to return. I would try a sandwich. Seriously. Ended up being over 20 bucks for an iceberg side salad. Yikes.

Man the patience is real with these workers. I thought I was asking to many questions but then we equally asked things. it's like I was a newbie because it's been awhile but holy moly that menu is like a Disneyland of food. I got that falafel sandwich. Yeah man it was delish . The coffees good too, it's kinda cool to be able to fill my own cup . I like how the cashier has glasses just like me. It's a cool family. I saw some kids dining too. I suppose that means it's a place your kids can come here and feel safe . Also means it's food your kids love so that's a win.

This place knows what they are doing for breakfast. The veggie omelette was flavorful and the avocado slices add the extra creaminess. The bacon was crispy and delicious. Our server was helpful The ambiance is ok, more of a quick diner vibe but the food is what matters

The best spot on Laurel Street, hard stop. Seriously though; if you've got a need to "be seen", you can have your stroll down the block and then get yourself a great meal (all day long I might add) at this joint! Broad menu; heck yes! From classic diner fare to Greek and Mexican in the mix, Broiler Express doesn't fail. Service here is better than many of the highly expensive places on the block. It's a diner with walk up service that is fast, polite, helpful and they're hella friendly with their regulars (okay, I'm not one of them but they're more than friendly with me. I guess I mean it has a feel where they know some of the people by name. Clearly it's a kitchen away from home for some. Always clean, always well stocked in terms of sauces, salt and peppers, napkins, etc. Has TVs for those who want to watch them. Interior and exterior seating. Hidden/more private back areas, tables, higher chairs and tables, etc.

    Mushroom Burger

I've been going here since I was a little girl but just came back after living in LA for 10 years. My brother asked me to dinner and suggested getting burgers from here. It had been so long and I thought what a fun and nostalgic thing to do! Let me just say...nostalgia was the perfect word. This place has not changed one bit. The menu board is the same. The decor is the same. And also the quality of food is the same. And it's still family run which is beautiful! If you're coming in here expecting a fancy burger, this is not the place for you. It's affordable and consistent quality. I got the mushroom Swiss burger and it just brought me back. The taste was exactly the same! A nice filling and yummy burger! I also love the fries here!!! I will absolutely be back!

The eggs on the Benedict were poached perfectly, which I very much appreciate. Not only were they poached perfectly, but the eggs themselves were beautiful. Very fresh with that vibrant bright marigold color. The hollandaise sauce was creamy and delectable. The breakfast burger was amazing! It comes served on Filone bread which I thought went perfect with the burger. This bread is similar to ciabatta. Crusty on the outside, with a good chew on the inside. Firm enough to handle all the contents of the burger, but soft and chewy on the inside. The meat itself, chuck and brisket, was sensational. I'm not the type of person to ever order a burger without cheese but this burger could've definitely stood alone. Melted Monterey Jack, thick slices of bacon, fresh slices of avocado, and a perfectly cooked runny egg were just added bonuses. There was something on this burger that had a slight sweetness. I don't know if it was the samurai sauce that they put on it or the bacon, but it was delicious. I love that. It came served with a light salad tossed in vinaigrette as well. Coffee was served beautifully with a nice frothy head. Service was excellent. Attentive without being overbearing. Our server, Da, was so sweet and made our experience even that much more wonderful. Can't wait to come back. My one gripe was the size of the potatoes that came served with the eggs Benedict and the burger. This is not a cheap place to eat. For two of us to have breakfast with one coffee and an iced tea is $60 before tip. Don't be so chinsy on the tater tots and French fries. 10 tater tots? Come on now. It's not caviar. It's potatoes. I don't need a mountain of them just a decent portion. I almost knocked off a star for that, but everything else, specifically the service, warrants the five stars. Thank you for a wonderful meal and for the great hospitality.

The baked Brie was so gooey and paired well with the crackers, garlic, arugula and fig jam on the plate. It's a lot of fun because you get to put all the toppings on your piece of Brie. The short rib was tender and the sauce was rich, but way too bitter to my liking. The wild mushroom pasta was creamy and delicious, but could be enhanced with a bit of acid. The fried chicken was juicy. It was served with 3 cheese macaroni, corn bread and parsley. I didn't know what to do with the parsley. Overall, the meal looked and sounded better than it tasted. It'll be a while until I come back.

One thing that stood out during this visit was the incredible teamwork. Every employee was constantly moving, helping guests, and supporting one another. At one point, a server who wasn't even ours noticed that the sun had shifted and was shining directly in my face. She immediately offered to move us to a different table, which we really appreciated. We also noticed the manager walking the dining room, checking in with guests and making sure everything was going well. It was refreshing to see such a hands-on approach. Our appetizers took a little longer than expected, which honestly didn't bother us--we hadn't even noticed. But the manager did. He came over to sincerely apologize, brought us an additional appetizer, and even insisted on taking care of part of our bill. It was such a thoughtful gesture. When the food arrived, it was excellent, just as we've come to expect. Our waiter was fantastic as well. The customer service here is every bit as impressive as the food. We'll definitely continue coming back. Town consistently delivers an outstanding dining experience, and we highly recommend it.

The honey mint mojito came in a cute bear glass and was just the right amount of rum, a little tarty but once watered down was good. Had the biscuit and bacon board (lots of bacon and the biscuits were warm and fluffy). The French toast was just right and the berries were sweet. The crab Benedict was made of real Dungeness crab and the muffin was still crispy. Honestly, the biscuit and bacon board would have been enough. 4 stars because it was $$$ but would def go back again

We went there because they had gluten free options and I have celiacs. When we got there I asked about the gf options labeled on the menu and the server said that those items were not really gluten free... So, I asked what my options were and it ended up being salad or surf and turf. My husband and I decided to share the $60 surf and turf and it was okay, but I wouldn't order it again. The one thing that was the most disappointing was the $12 Italian soda. It was just not good... Maybe some of the other non gluten free items are better, but not suitable for a person that needs gluten free options unless you want to eat a salad.

Like all of them. They must have changed to a cheaper vendor and I said it to my partner. Today they changed Coke to RC. Who drinks RC other than people in an old casino? I'm still paying them coke prices!! The slider I've always gotten this time had like half the cheese on it. It was half the weight and quality. It's obvious management changed or something changed where cutting cost is their priority. I'd rather maybe see them raise their prices 50 cents than to take away quality. Now it's just a place I want to avoid all together, where before I liked it and wanted to support it. Been here at least 25 times. Seems to get enough business to not have to reduce quality. What else behind in the kitchen are they now cheapening? It seems to be how most places move to after a while. The place that used to be good.
