Came here for lunch on a Saturday and it wasn't too busy. There were so many options on the menu I decided to get a classic cheeseburger and my bf got the Grand Canyon burger. We both really enjoyed it. The meat was cooked just right and was juicy. Both burgers were pretty big so you can split it in half and shared if you wanted to. The burgers come with lays chips but wanted to order a large fries on the side to share. Fountain drinks were a bit flat. They have Togo boxes on the side for you to grab which is nice. Finally made it here on an early Friday evening. We walked in and needed a moment to get our bearings: there is so much going on, every little spot on the walls is decorated with sports memorabilia and then there are the menu boards overhead, on the side, where you order and specials. You order at the till, grab your drinks, select a table and wait for your name to be called with your order. We tried the British and the Hawaiian burger and an order of fries. My go-to is the blue cheese burger and my lord they like to spread that creamy stinky cheesy deliciousness very liberally! This place was amazing, the burger was very generously sized and a single burger would be definitely filling enough for a person. Excellent! I had the Grand Canyon burger, fried mushrooms and fries. The burger was almost perfect. The patty was perfect. Tender and juicy. The bun was amazing. A Dutch crunch, that was so fresh and soft. The guac was tasty. My only critique is, the sautéed mushrooms on the burger were a bit too salty, but not that bad. I miss this kind of place. There's hella 49ers decorations and lots of posters/flyers dedicated to the local teams. This feels like a home and nostalgic for the peninsula. Inside is a little dark, but it's super cozy. They have a small arcade area for kids, where my niece and nephew had fun. The food was good, it was diner/bar food which was great. The portions were good as well. The staff was busy, but had a solution for everything and were hella attentive. I got the Edelman burger, obviously, because that's his hometown. The customer service here is horrible, it's unfortunate because I really started liking their burgers. Growing up in the area Dutch goose was always a better burger when I was younger (mid 30's) now the tables have turned dutch goose food sucks and the crowd is a bunch of douche bags. Canyon in has recently become my favorite greasy burger, unfortunately I had to deal with Gabby today and what a treat that was, first time I called she just said hello, and I had asked to make a to go order after that I just heard her put down the phone and start talking with some else so I waited and eventually I was hung up on. So I tried to call back two times but no answer. It appears 4th time is the charm. I asked Gabby why she hung up on me and she stated that she didn't, she put me on hold. I was hung up on. I asked to speak with her manager and she stated that they were not there. I asked to speak with who ever is in charge and they said no one was in charge currently. Well I guess when you have owners that really don't care who is running their business this is what happens. Real nice cozy vibe, you felt that you were in Arizona than in Redwood City. The portion is pretty big, my Reuben Sandwich has tons of meat but possibly because of that it's a bit on the salty side and the bread went soggy real quick as well. Flavor is good tho. I had a quesadilla and a side of grilled veggies. My daughter had the veggie sandwich, and my husband had a tuna melt. The sandwiches came with chips, so I ordered a side of French fries. The food was good all around, but the standout was the French fries: they were lightly battered and delightfully crispy, just the way I like them! My only complaint is for the price of the bugers or sandwhiches the fries should be included with the meal and not seperate. All they give you with your burger is a tiny 1oz bag of Lay's chips which were pretty much crumbs.
