Delicious breakfast! Quick service. I called ordered to go and it was ready within 10mins after my call. Customer service was okay love the fact that the cashier is bilingual but she just want to take your orders and next... I didn't even get a good morning from her which is okay with me but customer service should be professional and it's always good to see manners. The only part that I was a bit disappointed was that I had to make my own coffees on the spot and the place where the coffee is it's not the best to avoid people who are paying Running into you! I used to go here all the time in high school for their breakfast sausages, hashbrowns, and belgian waffles. The hashbrowns are very tasty and perfectly crisp, the sausages are small but very flavorful and juicy, and the waffles are golden brown and fluffy. I have gotten their omlets in the past too which are good but have nothing on the classic belgian waffle, hashbrown and sausage combo. Definitely worth a try if you want to get a solid classic diner experience. read more

I've been here several times for breakfast and lunch. Broiler Express is much like an east coast diner. They've got a multitude of menu choices, and they are served at any time of the day. It can get confusing as to what you want to eat with much to choose from. They've got great Mexican, Greek and American dishes for breakfast, lunch and dinner. I only come here for breakfast and lunch. The breakfasts to me are just as good as places like Stacks but a fraction of the price. The ambiance definitely has a casual diner appeal. It's a hit with senior citizens who I see regularly here enjoying their meals, coffee and hanging out with their friends over coffee and newspapers. Plenty of families come here too. You can't beat the prices for the food here when you've got some brats to feed. A couple of my favorites are the gyro meal which comes with fries and a drink for $7. I also like their fajita salad which is also $7. The lettuce is fresh. The grilled chicken is juicy and hot off the grill with the peppers.d I've never had anything here and been disappointed. If anything some of the food is average but mostly it's a good meal free of grease and fresh ingredients. This is a family owned business. Everyone here is affable and service oriented. Despite forgetting to get my own silverware or grab my own condiments, whoever brings the food will gladly bring you anything you need. Sorry to leave a 2 star review. The prices were great, liked the menu options, food was tasty but then, unfortunately, fell sick after consuming a takeout of the Tuna Melt Sandwich with fruit bowl. The staff were friendly at the pick-up counter. To save costs, suspect the food ingredients weren't kept fresh or the operating environment may have been compromised - didn't expect a cough storm to kick in (don't know if it's part of the long COVID symptom). Broiler Express is the place for a great meal. One of the best tasting Cheese Burgers especially with Monterey Jack Cheese and the Fries just delicious. I absolutely love Isaiah's place. All employees are friendly and helpful. Prices are reasonable for all the good food they give you. The place is clean, there are 2 TVs, but only one on...thank God. I want to eat in peace usually. Order at the counter and they bring it to your table. There is a plethora of choices to eat--breakfast, lunch , dinner. They are open every day untIl 9:00. Ther are choices for all types of diets--veg or carnivore. Never asked about almond milk though. Everyday there are breakfast and lunch specials with a choice of soups, too. I have always enjoyed supporting small businesses like this one. They are offering take out, as well as indoor and outdoor dining. The food was delicious as you can tell I've already eaten some of it. Everything tasted fresh, I felt healthy after this meal. You know what sucks? Your boss is actually taking you out to lunch but you cant have a normal meal because you just had oral surgery. This is exactly what happened to me. She cant stop screaming about how great the Patty Melts are here, and all I can think of is how sore my jaw is. I went with the Ministrone soup. The cashier said that all of their soups are homemade everyday from scratch. I guess thats a big plus. Then I added a side of Mashed Potato's with White Gravy. Honestly the Gravy had absolutley no flavor and was really dissapointing. I could have lived my entire life with out eating it. The Ministrone won me over. It was excellent! I really liked how they used Macaroni noodles. It added a little extra flare. I made an excellent lunch choice if I must say so myself. You should try it to. I'm not sure how I managed to miss this place as long as I've worked jn the area. You see I love breakfast food and this place serves it up good and cheap. In addition, they have tons of other diner fare. The menu fills the whole upper part of the wall, so there's bound to be something for everyone. However as I said breakfast was the focus and they have a special which is 4 pieces of bacon, two eggs any style, toast and hasbrowns for $6.50. That rocks. Clientele are mostly of the older type and they mostly look like regulars. The service from the girl at the counter was super friendly Although you order up front and take a number, they're still glad to refill your drinks and make sure you're doing ok with a smile. At this Diner you get what you would expect. It has an expansive menu with all kinds of options for every picky eater. This place is popular with other patrons during breakfast thanks to their large portions and variety of options. The food is reasonably priced and it is right in the middle of downtown San Carlos. If you and your significant other can't decide what to eat for dinner then you both can stare up at the giant menu and allow your stomachs to decide for you. BUT if you do order here you might want to consider taking your food to go. The only problem with the place is the ambiance. It is old and outdated with a very dreary feeling. This is immediately brought to your attention as you walk in and look up to order food. You will find 3 different menus posted in different spots and in different formats. Some of the menus are even partially hand written with marker. Some of the customers there can also be a bit depressing. Everyone at their tables just stares up at the old television as they eat their food. I think if the Broiler got themselves a nice face lift it would appeal to more customers and convince them to eat there. Until then I will continue to order my food for pick up. read more

If you're not in a big party it can be a good place to read a newspaper or just people watch. There's a small tv to watch as well. I have previously been to this restaurant and usually the food is good and the people working there are friendly. Unfortunately yesterday when I went to eat there a Latin women taking my order was extremely rude. I ordered my food and ordered a mimosa...which I have ordered there many times before. She told me they didn't have any and started naming other drinks so I ordered a soda. Upon walking past their fridge to sit down I saw the champagne. So I proceeded to walk back and I told her "hey you guys do have champagne" and with an attitude she replied yeah we have mimosas. I was rather confused since I had previously tried to order that exact drink. Anyway I went ahead and ordered the mimosa and sat down to eat my food. I I got up to order a second mimosa and asked for my soda (which she never give me) she asked if I wanted it in a can. I was having issues understanding her English from the beginning so I said excuse me quite a few times. So when I ordered my second mimosa she charged me for it and turned to her coworker and in Spanish said I was too drunk from one mimosa to understand her. I speak Spanish so I understood what she said. I was rather disappointed that this woman at this establishment spoke this way about loyal consumers. Makes me wonder how many other people she has done this to. I'm not positive but my boyfriend said he thinks she's the owners wife. What a poor way to run a business. She needs to have an attitude adjustment if she is going to be working in costumer service. Over all the food is ok. Although my boyfriend ordered a chicken quesadilla and he said it tasted like they put canned tomato sauce in it needless to say he was not pleased.
