I met a few friends for breakfast today and it was my first time dining at Broken Yolk. Everyone was friendly and the food was absolutely delicious. But above all, our server Brittany was the highlight of our visit. She was fantastic! She kept our drinks full and made sure we had everything we needed, even after we paid the bill. I had a great visit here on a Sunday morning with my fiancé and little one. We live a few cities over but decided we would make the drive to try this place out. I was able to add us to the Waitlist through Yelp (win!) and checked in once we arrived for quick seating. They offer high chairs for little and booth/ chair style seating for older hoomans. The only issue I had here was not being able to decide on my order. The menu is large and there is definitely something for everyone's taste, diets, etc. I ended up going with the Monte Cristo. Can't go wrong with a delicious mix of savory and sweet. The sandwich came with a side of raspberry sauce. I tried not to drink all of it... They have mimosas and mimosa flights here that looked tasty. I ended up grabbing an iced matcha with oat milk and a shot of espresso. Very much needed. The baby ate what we had on our plates, although they do have a kids menu with crayons for entertainment. The restaurant was clean, spacious and organized for a busy day. We participated in the Fullerton Day of Music and wanted to go grab brunch. We were greeted by a friendly hostess and seated in a comfortable location. Our food was delicious also. Why three stars? I am generally patient, but the restaurant was half full and we waited 15 minutes before anyone asked if we had been helped. The person cleaning asked and we told her no. She said someone was coming. 10 minutes later, a person bussing the table asked if we had been helped and we told him no. He asked if would like coffee and he would get us help. 3 minutes later (yes, I set my watch at this point) our server arrived happy as a clam. An almost 30 minute wait to speak to the server is unacceptable. We still left a tip because we would have sat forever if the person bussing tables hadn't helped and we didn't want to short him. read more

I always see this place with long lines. Came in on a Monday and no lines. We got seated right away. We were welcomed promptly and given water. Our waitress came and gave us ample time to peruse the menu without pressure. Our food came within decent time. I ordered the Wellness Wrap. It was good. But is it suppose to be so soupy? My wrap was soggy. The bell peppers were chopped too large for the wrap to enjoy. Ratio of eggs to feta and veggies were good. The chilaquiles were a bit dry. The meat was underwhelming (no noticeable seasoning or flavor). The only thing that my friend didn't like was the fact that it was a "bowl" so all the sauce went to the well of the bowl. By the time she reached the center, all her chips were soggy and over sauced. The lemon ricotta pancake was just a pancake. Nothing amazing. Lemony flavor but low on the blueberry flavor. So we chose the pick two Benedict. My friend chose the sope and I chose the salmon (an additional $2). It arrived with two sopes. We informed our host and she brought the replacement but threw out the one sope that was brought in error. Usually, once an item touches your plate, they'll let you keep it. Per our host, she said it was policy and threw it away. My friend's OJ was served with a tall glass and while drinking .... We both noticed the cup had leftover lipstick stain from a previous customer. She gagged and asked for a new one. Overall, underwhelmed with flavor and cleanliness. read more

Very clean and spacious location that thankfully offered an ability to be waitlisted via YELP! Thanks YELP!! Restrooms were very tidy too. Anyhow, when it was out turn to check in, we were seated and tended to by our lovely waitress V who brought us our coffee and took our orders very quickly. Let me say, excellent service V!! Food was recommended by her as well and what we got was delicious. I had the chilaquiles divorciados, green was better. And my bf had eggs Benedict. All was scrumptious and also a place that's was a first for both of us and will definitely be on a list of places to return to. Went here after my brother's graduation around 1pm and the wait wasn't that long at all thanks to being able to join the waitlist via phone in advance. Our waiter was friendly and knows her stuff, but wasn't that attentive due to the brunch rush which is understandable. Inside, the place is much spacious and open than I thought. There's lot of seating and has a nice breakfast and lunch ambiance. You can smell all the variety of dishes as you walk by each table! I had their "pick two" eggs benedict and chose the caprese and golden state. Both were good, my favorite was the caprese one which had the pesto drizzled over it and it had a unique Italian taste to it. Also, I chose the sweet potato as the side. Overall it was good, but I wished the poached eggs were cooked a bit longer, since there were small areas of the whites that was undercooked. For the drink, I had their orange juice which was really good. It tasted like a freshly squeezed orange juice and didn't taste like that concentrate taste you get at some other breakfast spots. Our server Viany was amaaazing. She's literally the sweetest and was so patient with us when we couldn't decide what cocktail to order. I told her that I don't like to taste my alcohol and she gave her recommendation for their Strawberry Gin Fizz. I requested for extra strawberry since I was scared I would've still tasted the alcohol and to my surprise, it was so good!! My family and I went a Saturday morning which was pretty busy. We checked in here through Yelp and didn't wait much once we arrived. The food was okay. A little cold but I like the big portions. Definitely left full. The pancakes were really dry which was a bummer but I'm giving them 4 starts because everything is typically good. I think this was just a really busy morning for them. I have been to different Broken Yolk Cafes and this one is by far the best one thanks to Brittany. She was amazing and offered items she thought was the best. We got the cinna cakes and that was good by itself but she came back brought is more icing and melted salted butter and she told us to mix it and pour it over that was so good. What really did it for us is there was some tech issue with there ordering device and one of my friends plates came out the earliest and she came back and said that if want to wait for the rest of the food to come out that she would replace my friends plate with a fresh hot one.
