I come in here twice a week right when they open to order food to go. I am always greeted with a warm smile from the hosts, but one girl in particular release takes out. She says her name is BRIANNA. She is always so kind and has such a warm smile. I hope the management team recognizes my review.

Because the Yolk's on me You played your part perfectly Went to me Just a pretty dream... Nothing like Yolking around with the fam to start the day. 4/5 Food Food was good nothing that is out of this world. What surprised my wife and I was how large the kids meal was. Portions are large which is probably why this is a popular breakfast spot, maybe the mimosas as well. 3/5 Service When we arrived we put our name down and sat insids to wait. They had a lot of tables open and had people waiting (weird but okay). Once we were sat down we didnt have a server come by until a manager came by to ask us if we had been helped. He got our drinks started and had a server come by to take our order. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Good thing the kids had a menu they could color and keep entertained.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They must have been short staffed because it seemed like all the servers were all over the place. We were overcharged for coffees so had to have them remove one. 4/5 Parking [[HIGHLIGHT]]It can get crowded and hard to find a spot. Especially during the weekends it seems to be a club atmosphere with brunch.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] (Dancing to put yout name on the list). My daughter and I visited this morning for breakfast. I had the churro French toast and she had the cali burrito. Food was plenty enough for us to share. The churro French toast was bursting with cinnamon and a swirl of cream on top. The burrito was loaded with egg, cheese, avocado, bacon, and home fries. Both were delicious.

We had a wonderful experience at Broken Yolk in Glendora! The food was absolutely delicious--everything was fresh, flavorful, and served perfectly. The host was incredibly welcoming, friendly, and made us feel right at home from the moment we walked in. Excellent customer service, a great atmosphere, and one of the best breakfast spots in the area. We'll definitely be coming back and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fantastic meal and outstanding hospitality!

We dined at Broken Yolk in Glendora today at 7:31 AM, and after years of coming here, this was by far the worst experience we've had. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Andrea seated us, and my wife immediately noticed that the booth seat appeared to have syrup or some sticky substance on it.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Since the restaurant was practically empty, she politely asked if we could move to another table. Instead of accommodating a simple request, Andrea dismissed us and said, "It's just ripped, don't worry about it." [[HIGHLIGHT]]My wife then cleaned the seat herself with a wipe, and residue came off, proving there was actually something on it.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] What really upset us was that shortly afterward another family came in, and Andrea asked them where they wanted to sit. We were never given that option. The difference in how we were treated was obvious and left us feeling discriminated against as Asian customers. Management needs to address this. A customer should never be dismissed for raising a reasonable concern, especially when there are plenty of available tables. This is not how you treat loyal customers, families, or anyone who walks through your doors. Andrea's attitude was unprofessional, and this experience left a very negative impression on us.

I walked into this restaurant thinking I was going to get a great brunch experience with my family but was disappointed from the beginning. Waiting for more than 10 min to be greeted by someone. There were no employees in the front desk. Finally one of the waiters came and acknowledged me. I was standing there for a long time. I get my table and no one even offered or asked if I needed a high chair for my daughter, so I walked and grabbed one myself. The waiter comes back and takes my order and then I proceed to wait for my food. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambience was not that special, just a regular restaurant and a bar.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Don't get me wrong. The food was great, but the customer service experience is so poor and unprofessional that made me not want to come back and eat here. It's truly disappointing that they neglected us and made us feel like our business didn't matter. After we ate our food I was waiting for the waiter to come back and give me the check. I waited for 15 min and nothing. If I was one of those uneducated people, I could've just walked out of the restaurant without paying because no one was even paying attention. But I have morals and I'm not going to do that. So I raised my voice to one of the waiters and asked if they can give me my check so I can pay and get out of there. After, I paid and they asked me for a tip. I left 0 dollars due to the sorry ass service they provided. I don't know if it's due to their shortage of staff but this is something management needs to take care of immediately if they do not want to lose more business in the future. If you want to have a great morning and spend some quality time with your family. Do not come here. Take your business elsewhere.

Classic Eggs Benedict and Chicken & Waffle Benedict with Hash Browns

Broken Yolk Cafe is truly a local staple for brunch! We came on a rainy Sunday morning and were seated fairly quickly (within 10 minutes). The hostess was super kind and our server was very attentive, checking in with us often. We ended up ordering two savory dishes and one sweet dish to share: El Fuego Omelette: 5/5 The El Fuego omelette was so flavorful and there was a very nice kick of spice from the chorizo! The guacamole and pico de gallo added a refreshing twist and really elevated the dish as a whole. As for the omelette itself, it was cooked perfectly and there was a good amount of cheese, jalapeño and chorizo filling on the inside. This is honestly one of the best omelettes I have ever had, highly recommend! Classic Eggs Benedict and Chicken and Waffle Benedict: 4/5 We ended up doing the "Choose Any Two" and ending up selecting the classic eggs benedict and chicken and waffles benedict. The classic eggs benedict was delicious and was smothered in their creamy hollandaise sauce while the egg was beautifully poached to perfection. As for the chicken and waffle benedict, the taste was decent but we would not go for it again. We weren't a big fan of the hollandaise sauce and poached egg being paired with the chicken and waffle, and the waffle ended up being soggy at the bottom. However their classic eggs benedict is still a must try! Tiki Toast: 5/5 The tiki toast was so fluffy and grilled to a beautiful golden brown while the caramel drizzle on top added an additional depth of flavor! The coconut shreds on top were also not too overpowering and the berries scattered around the dish were very fresh. While the dish was already drenched with syrup the toast slices were still crispy on the outside. This dish is a perfect choice for those who have a sweet tooth! Overall, the experience here at Broken Yolk Cafe was a 5/5 on both food and service. The dishes have a fusion of different cultural foods and are very unique compared to other brunch places. The servers provide fantastic and quick service and I would 100% visit again!

Tried something new yesterday since I wasn't super hungry, the açaí bowl, and it didn't disappoint. It went nicely with the tropical mimosa flight. The pear mimosa was my fav on the flight. My only complaint - how does a breakfast spot not carry peanut butter?! I asked for some on the side since the bowl didn't come with any, and the waitress said they don't carry peanut butter.

Celebrating with family, I was so grateful to see the vegan options on the menu. I thought I would have to order oatmeal but no. I had the Spicy Vegan Bowl with a side of sourdough toast. It was delicious and the portion generous. Broken Yolk Cafe is no Joke! I have one close to home now. Everything is just like the original BYC, but better! I could not decide and went with one of my faves Border Benedict from the green salsa to the corn and not to mention the Carne Asada, it was bliss! I know this will be a hit and a following of the masses will keep BYC GLENDORA in operation. Now to the service: 5 stars Everyone is so friendly and attentative to your every need ensuring you have a great dining experience. The staff can suggest some items if you can't decide. Everything on the menu is simply delicious. I suggest you get here asap before the lines start up and wait times get longer. Sorry Flappy Jacks but BYC GLENDORA will now have my business and they serve Coca-Cola.... read more

I came here because their pictures on yelp are mouth watering so I decided to see for myself. I ordered the Border Benedict. I love the concept of reinventing dishes and experimenting with new flavors. This dish was delicious. The salsa combined with the carne asada and eggs creates a heavenly flavor in your mouth. Rose was our waitress and her attitude made the experience even better! She even sang the cool tunes on the radio subtlety as she walked by our booth numerous times. I definitely recommend this place! The menu itself will have you torn between at least 3 dishes. read more

Brand new breakfast cafe! Love and enjoyed fresh salads and coconut French toast! Amazing fast service and great location. Easy parking! My daughter had the yummy coconut French toast with fruit, and I had the strawberry salad with lite balsamic vinegar. Will be back soon! read more

Finally The Broken Yolk came to the San Gabriel Valley!! We don't have to drive to OC. This place they opened in Glendora is great with plenty of parking spots. If anything The Broken Yolk's staple is egg Benedict and different ways of preparing it. But you can also come for other things..omelets, crepes, sandwiches, soups,salads..they even have sope!!! I've had the Mama's omelet which is vegetarian and it is delicious. I have also had the soup, salad, sandwich combination for under $10..you can't go wrong with that. Service may had been just tad disappointing, my coffee arrived a little bit longer, well I think the server forgot it, but afterall it was Christmas Day brunch, the place was busy. So no worries Broken Yolk I will not hold that one bad time against you. I still thank you for coming to Glendora. read more

I came in last Monday with my girlfriend and son we had gotten in around 1:30 I knew they closed at 2:30 but we were hungry and would be ready to order as soon as we sat down. We walked in and waited a few minutes while they got the high chair for my son they sat us down quickly after that the restaurant had a few groups there and was still pretty lively. Once we sat down we glanced over the menu pretty quickly and decided on what we were eating for our late lunch. We had been sitting for about 20 min already and nobody had come and checked on us in fact I don't remember seeing the waitress who sat us or anyone who actually worked there besides the busser cleaning the table next to us I noticed behind my girlfriend another couple who had been sat were looking for their waitress too. I looked at my girlfriend and said I think its time we leave my son was starting to get a little agitated and my stomach was growling loud. I gave it another 5 min and I said that's it let's go I stood up put my jacket on grabbed my son and we walked out. I've been in the food service industry for 10 years as both kitchen staff and front of house a simple give me one second I'll be right with you or just having our presence acknowledged goes a long way. read more

Amazing Sunday Brunch location! I ate the Tiki French toast and a glass of pomegranate juice and it was divine! My family purchased an array of items and we were all more than satisfied! The service was amazing and the location was very modern and fresh. Make sure to go early because it can get packed fast! read more

My wife and I came here this morning and were pleasantly surprised. We like having a booth and were able to get one, but it was a bit noisy(some sound proofing would be very helpful). The food was generous in the portions and was hot and our waitress Christin checked in with us and made sure we had what we needed and was very pleasant. I already had 2 cups of coffee at home so I didn't need more but I saw they had $1 coffee(not sure if it was on the senior menu) We will be coming back again, would like to see another Broken Yolk café closer to Upland or Rancho Cucamonga. I saw that Farrells Ice Cream closed down last year on Foothill Blvd in Rancho and think that would be good place for another Broken Yolk café. read more

I wish I could give 5 stars but I cannot they get two because their workers are nice and the place has good service but the food was not that good at all. Had the Mom omelet not the best it was tasteless to begin with got fries the fries tasted as if they were the bag fries you buy from food for less. Order an orange juice was not the best tasted more like plastic than oranges. Then we ordered the tiki toast that was the only thing good an that it had flavor. My girlfriend got that with a side of scramble eggs an turkey sausages agin the egg was not the best McDonald's has better eggs sad to say an I dislike McDonald's. Their turkey sausage tasted as if it they came from a frozen bag that you also buy from food for less. Got tacos from their south of the boarder menu as a fellow Hispanic it was a no no for me taco trucks have way better tacos that taste better. Disappointed then agin non Hispanics wouldn't know the difference from real Mexican. read more

I arrived at Broken Yolk for breakfast at 8:15. It is now 8:45 and nobody has checked us in for a table. I tried asking the servers for help but both told us we had to see the hosts. After 30 mins never saw a host or even a manager. Beyond horrible experience so we left without ever getting to a table. read more

So this is my first time trying this place and being that I knew it would be a busy Sunday morning decided to do take out. It was very good! We had the chilaquiles (added) chicken and the Californian Omelette. Both were very good and the portions are large. Both my husband and I could only eat half of our meal, so definitely worth the price. Just an FYI the green chilaquiles are a bit on the spicy side, but then again my husband says I'm a wimp when it comes to spicy stuff. Everything was very tasty. Definitely going back again especially since they allow dogs in their patio. Can't wait to try the rest of their menu. read more

Effing yummy! Also...SUPER cheap bottomless mimosas?? YAS PLZ! They are sometimes super slammed but Courtney is the nicest waitress and makes sure we were super taken care of. I overheard someone say they were short staffed but you wouldn't know it with they great service we received! It doesn't hurt that she made me this amazing Bloody Mary!! read more

I have been calling to now cancel my order and receive a refund and there isn't anyone answering their phones. read more

This place is amazing! I always saw it near my office but never got the chance to actually eat here until this past Friday. All of my coworkers have been here and raves about it so we decided to take one of our Friday morning team meetings here. The place was excellent! Great food (with HUGE portions might I add), a very clean restaurant, welcoming environment and SUPERB staff. Our waitress Courtney (I believe her name was) was extremely friendly, very patient, and very quick with service. I don't think I ever had an empty water glass or coffee mug and my coworkers said the same. She was so gracious to us (and we were a large group of people on an early Friday morning) as we made up our minds on what to eat and drink. She is a GREAT SERVER! Y'all better keep her! Seems to be super popular! The Glendora location is very pretty. The menu is so big and offer so many different choices. I've tried many different things off the menu and every single thing that I've tried has been amazing. They even have flights of mimosas which are delicious! Love coming here for breakfast read more

Jennifer was our waitress this morning. We are passing through on our way for a college tour. She greeted us very kindly. Jennifer gave us reccomendations as what to order whoch ended up to be amazing. Her bubbly personality is suited for any morning customer, or any customer for that matter. Throughout the whole service there were no issues. Food came out very quickly, about 5 minutes after ordering. It is a very nice bright restaurant. I will deffinetly be coming back. This was our first visit here on a Saturday morning. We were told it would be a 25 minute wait but instead only waited 10 minutes. Once we were seated Christine took our order. Awww she's the sweetest. She was sweet to my little one and my whole family. My food was ok, my son enjoyed his Nutella banana crepe and my little one enjoyed his French toast sticks. I had the chilaquiles with half red and half green sauce, they were good but in all honesty I would come back just for the service. Thank you Christine! read more

The coffee tastes like a clean, bitter, cold brew with a foamy top. (Important: Bring Cash. There's a 4% Cash Discount.) I arrived at Rail Side Cafe (San Dimas) on Thursday (around 12:13PM). Parking is simple but busy. There's a side lot for customers; sign says, "2 Hour Parking." Staff is courteous, no-nonsense, and diligent. Staff worked hard. Staff quickly answered all my questions. My coffee took about three minutes. Good time. As mentioned, I ordered the Nitro Cold Brew ($9 - Large - 24oz). The coffee is very standard. It tastes exactly like any imagined cold brew coffee. Personally, the roast tasted a little burnt, but it's a common, familiar coffee flavor. The strength was weak for a nitro, but the HUGE SIZE and affordability balances it all out. This is a functional, budget drink. On ambiance, Rail Side Cafe (San Dimas) is a HUGE success. There's a lot of utility. The location has a self-serve water station, public internet with no password, stacked high chairs for children, two game corners (ex: Chess, Giant Connect 4, Giant Jenga, Uno Cards, Etc), and about one available electrical outlet. I have traveled the globe. I've dined in the bustling cafes of Marrakesh in springtime. Ate breakfast with sheep herders in dewey meadows watching the sunrise in the Himalayas. And enjoyed exquisite meals in the misty hills of Kyoto surrounded by fragrant cherry blossom trees. We feasted like kings on El Fuego omelets, crispy bacon, and fluffy stacks of decadent Cina-cakes receiving the upmost care from our fantastic server Stephanie Potter---a remarkable combination of raven-haired beauty and kindness. As we were saddling up our horses to leave, Stephanie burst through the door with a telescope and satchel stuffed with ancient treasure maps that one of my men left behind. She also brought some dry oatmeal for my horse, "Eljiah." My men thanked Stephanie and with a warm smile, and her quaint, slow southern Sierra Madre accent, Stephanie said, "Oh, ain't no big thing child. Y'all come back to the Yolk real soon, you hear." I thanked Stephanie again and apoligized for our weary appearance after our long travels. Stephanie replied, "Sweatpants, hair-tied, chillin' with no make-up on. That's when you the prettiest." I blushed. As we rode off on our horses, I could see through the dusty haze of our trail that the Yolk staff---servers, bussers, managers, and cooks---slowly filtered outside, locked arms, and waived goodbye while "Bodak Yellow" played from my stallion's Bluetooth speakers. I stopped off this morning, September 8, 2018, at 7:20, to buy breakfast for myself and a coworker to go. I walked up to the counter, there was a girl there, I said I wanted to place a to go order, said she would be right with me, never came back. Was never given a menu, so a specials flyer on the counter, I ordered from that. The girl that took my order was abrupt and unfriendly, I ordered a number 2 - pancakes and number 4 (I think) biscuits and gravy and a large iced tea for $18.45. Was told it would be 15 to 20 minutes. A bag is brought to the counter, I am asked am I waiting for a to go order, I said yes, what name, Paula, she looks at something, and says nothing to me. 5 minutes pass, I finally asked when will my order be ready, she says did you pay, I said yes, then she says, oh this is yours, we didn't know if you paid. It is now 8:00. My ice tea was missing, so now I had to wait for that. I leave, it is 8:05. I am late to work. I get to work, open the meals the pancake breakfast is fine. The biscuits and gravy, is missing the gravy. I called and get I am sorry, you can come back we will give you the gravy. It is okay they want to make it right, however, I am already at work. All of this could have been avoided if the customer service was up to par and they paid attention to their customers. Sadly, I will not be back. PS: Just sat down to eat my meal, the only thing good were the eggs. Besides missing the gravy, the meal was cold, the potatoes were burnt in places and no color in others, and some thick and undercooked. there were also bad spots let in the potatoes. I have never been so disappointed with a meal in my life. More than half thrown away. read more

I finally had the chance to visit the "Broken Yolk" with my friends, and it turned out to be a fun! We've been hearing so much about it, and it seemed like the perfect place for our brunch date. The best part was the short wait - we opted for seats at the bar, and luckily, we got seated instantly! The menu had so many choices! My BFF and I decided to try the avo toast and sopes Benedict. To keep the brunch spirit alive, we couldn't resist getting a mimosa and a Bloody Mary. The drinks were okay but not mind-blowing. The Bloody Mary was a typical tomato based drink with a splash of vodka and a huge piece of bacon. My friend liked her mimosa, but I ended up switching to a plain glass of champagne. As for the food, the avo toast was good, but honestly, I could make something better at home. It didn't fully live up to the hype. The sopes Benedict were super decent and delicious! I have to admit, the place had a great vibe, and there were so many options on the menu. It seems to be popular in the OC crowd, but for someone like me, who's all about breakfast, I was expecting a bit more. In a nutshell, "Broken Yolk" is a fun spot to hang out and grab a bite with friends. If you're looking for a casual brunch experience, this is the perfect spot! Celebrating my cousins LAPD graduation at this Glendora Broken yolk was a perfect move. We felt welcomed from the start although a small (understandable) wait this morning. Really like the atmosphere at this location and the service is always great especially with Seny. Ask for her! The food is consistently good. We started with a few of their "Sip sip hooray" cocktails, the pomegranate sunrise was my favorite. The service from seny truly made my cousins celebration brunch special. Seny was attentive, knowledgeable, and extra patient when many from our party had questions about the menu. I enjoyed coming to Broken Yolk, unfortunately my last experience wasn't pleasant. I had ordered Eggs Benedict (which I previously ordered before and had no complaints) which took a long time to come out. I had to ask a waitress about my order. When my order was finally out, the dish was completely cold as if it had been sitting out for a while. I truly have no complaints about the food from this restaurant, I believe that my food had been prepared but was just forgotten about. I always seemed to have problems with waitresses every time I went to Broken Yolk. They always seem to get distracted with other tables and my food typically takes a long time to come out, this time was completely unacceptable though considering it wasn't even edible anymore. Unfortunately I don't think I'll be returning to this Broken Yolk. read more

This cafe gets really busy, but the staff is always attentive & does their best to keep folks updated about where they are on the list. We tend to use the wait list feature since we live nearby. After you order, there's a bit of a wait for you food but it always comes out hot so at least you know it isn't sitting around while you're waiting. I think their system is pretty streamlined. We've been here before but our serve today was Lauren & she was really helpful at helping us pick one item we were torn between. She also had helpful suggestions about how to get a little of everything if you didn't want to choose. The portions are pretty satisfying here. I also appreciate that their are options for each item in a good price range. There are other brunch places around but BY has a lot of flavorful options. read more

Went for breakfast this morning and had Enrique as our waiter. Saw him on Super Bowl Sunday and loved his personality and the way he engaged the patrons of the restaurant - today was no different, there was a couple there doing some sort of challenge meal and he got everybody going cheering them on. He's got a great outgoing personality. As a waiter our service was great, he was right on top of our order. The food? Omg I absolutely love the Sopes Benedict, awesome flavors and just a fantastic selection for my breakfast. Hubby had the soup salad and half sandwich - tomato basil,strawberry walnut salad & tuna sandwich. He said it was good and thought the soup was awesome, and he loved the big portions. Let me start by saying this was my first time here at broken yolk cafe and I am so overwhelmed with my experience! My server Abby was so sweet and knowledgeable with the menu and answered all the questions I had (I had a lot.. such a big menu!!) I went with her recommendation, the sope benedict, and I'm so happy I trusted her cause it was delicious!! My boyfriend has a sweet tooth and she recommended these cute little blueberry muffins and of course they were a hit too!! Not to mention the champagne was soo good it really tastes like crisp green apples. I am definitely a fan and will be back to sit in Abby's section :) read more

I recently visited Broken yolk and was extremely disappointed with the manager, andy. His attitude was unprofessional and dismissive when I raised a concern about my order being incorrect. Rather than addressing the issue politely or offering a solution, he seemed uninterested and even condescending. This kind of behavior from a manager is unacceptable and reflects poorly on the entire restaurant. It's a shame because the rest of the staff seemed friendly and hardworking.the managers lack of customer service skills ruined what could have been an enjoyable dining experience. My buddy from out of town and I came into Broken Yolk Cafe to celebrate and catch up. What I thought was going to be a normal breakfast quickly turned into a great experience due to the energy, enthusiasm and great service from our waitress Abby! She made great drink recommendations that we had not even considered and offered some of her favorite dishes. Talking with Abby made me feel like more than a customer. Just found this gem. My husband and in-laws went yesterday and they enjoyed it so much that we took my parents and father-in-law there today. We had the privilege of having Wendy G serve us both days and she was AWESOME!!!! Such great service with a smile. We may just have to go back next weekend. As far as the food...it's great. Very large portions and amazing taste make it worth every cent. So much food that you have leftovers for later. Came in today by myself for breakfast, happened to be Juneteenth so it was a little busier than usual but got sat quickly at a small lil corner booth tucked away. My server Joseph got a glass of OJ for me while I waited for my Chocolate chip pancake + side of hashbrowns. As usual service was 10/10 gave me a glass of water without asking, checked up with my meal and had a pleasant conversation with me. His warm smile and good attitude brightened my day up as did the staff who seemed to be cheerful with this gloomy weather. Food was hot and excellent , love coming here!! read more

We have visited the Broken Yolk on several occasions, but today was the best visit we've ever had! The menu has a lot of different choices (savory and sweet) with something for every palate! The difference today was based on our AMAZING server, Courtney! She could not have made us feel more welcome, as if we were guests in her home. Jessica is the kind of server that makes you question every other server you've ever had. Like... why wasn't my cup this full before?? She was constantly checking on us and making sure we had everything we needed before we even realized we needed it. Not only that, but she actually took the time to ask what we were in the mood for and gave menu recommendations and let me just say, her taste is ELITE. If Jessica suggests it, just order it.
