First time coming here, food was absolutely delicious! Loved the strawberry & banana smoothie. The Californian Omelet was great as well, but I think it was the cinnamon Pancake (or something along those lines), that stole the show! WOW!! All time favorite pancake I've ever tried. Kevin was very knowledgeable on the menu, took his time to explain how each meal would be as far as spice level, flavor, etc. He was very friendly and attentive. I came here on a Monday morning with friends. We arrived at 10am and we waited close to 30 minutes before being seated. They were quite busy that morning. I recommend getting on the Yelp Waitlist as soon as possible to avoid long wait times! The service was great and the food was also good. Excellent service by Bri, the host and runner. But I had an issue with the spicy vegan scramble. The dish is set on a bed of cottage (home) fries. It would have been stellar but for two issues. 1. The potatoes were way undercooked. But more egregious, 2. At least five of the potato slices were partly rotten. I had them stacked up like poker chips hoping the issue would be noticed. Call me old fashioned, but I don't want any black mush in my breakfast. I think I may have consumed a bit of the rotten starch despite my inspection efforts since my stomach was nauseous a few hours later. It would turn out to be mild food poisoning. read more

Excited to finally check out this location that just opened up not too long ago on St Rose Pkwy. I came here for a work lunch. The restaurant is very spacious. They even have a nice bar. Menu has lots of great options and also some vegan options as well. I had a hot Matcha Latte with the Spicy Vegan Breakfast bowl minus the avocado and the beyond sausage links. The food tasted delicious and I enjoyed my Matcha latte as well. Our water was excellent. He was super sweet and very attentive. had Mothers Day breakfast today. first time we had been here. easy to be waitlisted then easy check in and our wait was 20 min. Very good food and reasonably priced for the amount you get. We went here for my birthday brunch the mimosas were decent and we tried the jelly shot also pretty decent. The food was good we all enjoyed our meals. I had the waffle sandwich, my niece had the huevos con chorizo, and my MIL had the savory crepes. They have really good portion sizes so everyone was full when we left. The only complaint I have is that even after being informed that it was my birthday and we were trying to have a good time our server still wasn't very engaging. The restaurant was busy so I don't think it was personal even though I did see a couple other servers take the time to interact and engage with their tables. That's the only thing I feel could have been better. Hopefully when I go back I'll get one of the ones that kept their tables entertained. But I will definitely be back. read more

I was searching yelp while at the doctor's office looking for a breakfast spot in the area after my appointment and found this place. My husband and I are always looking for new breakfast spots to try. I know Broken Yolk has been around for a while but this was our first time trying it out. We were greeted as soon as we came in, and seated right away. We did come during the week so there wasn't much of a rush and they weren't crazy busy. They have a great variety of food to choose from. I ordered their new crossaint breakfast sandwich and wish I got something else. The sandwich was way too messy to eat and I wasn't a fan of the sauce. Hash browns were good though! I loved their strawberry banana smoothie, creamy and delicious. My husband ordered one of their omelets and enjoyed it. We ordered their blueberry muffin to share with our son, and that was delicious as well! Very moist and not dry at all. They had a good music playlist going while we were there, and the service was great! I would eat here again and try something new each time. read more

I don't know how this place has such high ratings. Maybe we experienced an off day or maybe it's just this specific location, but here's what happened: The staff was very friendly and sat us at our table. The atmosphere was very nice, kind of a modern look, and I was enjoying the music they played. Had a few questions about that menu that were answered by our waiter. The Benedicts sounded unique and we were excited to try them. I got a chicken and waffles Benedict topped with hollandaise sauce and a Sope Benedict. Once the food arrived our sever made sure to tell us we were his "last table" before he could leave, making us feel pressured and rushed. I had never had a server do this before. Couldn't we just be handed off to another server if his shift was up? The waffle was soggy, totally falling apart like it had been let to sit in water before being plated. Awful. Worst waffle I've ever had. The chicken was dry and tough. The hollandaise sauce has little to no flavor. The Sope Benedict was better, but still lack luster and overall disappointing. The best part of my meal was the poached egg on top of each Benedict and my slice of pineapple. That's really saying something. Wouldn't come back here again. I would save your money and just go to Denny's or ihop for a simple traditional breakfast. My conclusion: here you are just paying for the atmosphere and fun drinks. read more

One of my new favorite breakfast spots! Its super easy to make a reservation online with yelp, but the wait usually isn't too long either. Recommend trying out the Country Skillet! The waitress mentioned the gravy is homemade daily, and it sure tastes like it. Super great quality and friendly staff. Only downside is that the staff is usually pretty busy (which is very evident because Broken Yolk is popular) so sometimes you'll go a while without talking to someone or getting service. Great service and delicious food! My husband and I were out running errands last Sunday and decided to stop in here for brunch. I placed my name on the Yelp waitlist, which I love when a restaurant offers this, and checked in at the restaurant once we arrived. We were told that we'll receive a text once our table was ready, which was only 5 minutes. We didn't wait long at all. Keep in mind that they won't seat you until your whole party gets there. Once seated, we were immediately greeted by our waiter. He was very friendly and attentive. He gave us plenty of time to look over the menu and answered any questions we had. I ordered the Baja breakfast tacos and my husband ordered the Hash skillet and Bloody Mary flight. In addition, we ordered a single pancake to share. Our food came out hot and extremely fast. Everything was amazing! The pancake was so fluffy and yummy. My husband liked the Bloody Mary flight too. Our waiter came by frequently to refill our water and checked on us. He even stopped by a few times to give us more napkins even though we didn't ask. That was nice of him. I'm so happy we found a new brunch spot!! Just got back from an excellent breakfast. We walked in just before 10am and were greeted by the hostess and seated right away. Our server Lacee brought our waters and asked if we had any questions. We ordered the Belgian waffle, two eggs and ham steak and the combo Benedict. All of our food was served promptly and hot. The waffle was delicious. You can't go wrong with Ham & Eggs, and the benedicts were outstanding. A Golden State one, and Border. Served with a side of fruit on all our entrees. I've been to a Broken Yolk before in CA. but this one with the service is outstanding. Great food, nice atmosphere (bonus they had on the Wimbledon finals) and excellent service. This place is very good! The service was great. Our waitress Bree (I believe that was her name) was super friendly and was awesome to work with. I got the Trio which was amazing.... I think the best one was the churro French toast on the menu! We also got the eggs Benedict (golden gate and the classic) which was delicious! We were greeted by Lacee our server who was very friendly and always checked on us.
