The aloo paratha was okay, but the gobhi paratha was poorly prepared--the gobhi filling was falling out of the paratha with every bite, making it very difficult and messy to eat. After our meal, we wanted to wash our hands. Since we had just eaten inside the restaurant, we were surprised when a Male employee at the front desk told us that we had to use the hand-washing facilities outside because the restaurant restroom are closed as there are outdoor restrooms for the international festivals. What made the situation more disappointing was that shortly afterward, a woman customer came in and was allowed to use the restroom inside without being directed outside. Seeing different instructions being given to different customers made us feel that the rules were not being applied consistently. Additionally, my wife ordered a cookie that was extremely dry and tough. Overall, this was not a good first experience. The food was average at best, and the inconsistent treatment at the front desk left a particularly bad impression. I believe every customer should be treated equally and given the same information and access, regardless of who they are.

We ordered the butter chicken wrap, the chili chicken wrap and an aloo parantha. We wanted to try the tandoori chicken wrap, but they were sold out that day. We really enjoyed everything except the chili chicken wrap- we didn't find it very flavorful and wouldn't order it again. The wraps come with a yogurt-based cilantro sauce but I found it to be too liquidy to properly dip the wrap and the plate it comes in makes it very awkward as well. The aloo paratha was really good- not overly seasoned but it had a very authentic flavor and came with traditional indian pickle condiment on the side. The decor is very authentic but not overwhelming and the place had a nice vibe to it. The staff were friendly and helpful when we were deciding what to order. We are looking forward to going back again and trying more of the items!

Once inside, you find a very well organized and very well developed café. They have really nice two people booths along one wall. Plus, they have tables for larger groups sprinkled throughout the restaurant. It's really a great place to sit back and enjoy a drink, a meal, and a conversation with anybody you go in there with. In terms of food, they have a wide spanning menu. They have very good breakfast items from all of the expected things you would expect: quiches, eggs, and all of that kind of stuff. Plus, they have a really nice menu of salads, as well. They also have a number of other things thrown in there, a lot of paninis, a bunch of sandwiches, and a little bit of everything else. It's really hard not to find something that you'll really enjoy at this café. The staff here is all super nice. And, they're happy to help you out with anything that you may need The way this café works is that you walk inside, go up to the front counter, place your order, and you're set to go. You can do this a couple of ways: you can grab one of their physical menus and choose what you want or you can also scan the QR code at each table and then you can look at their menu via your phone. One way or the other, you could find something you like and order. Overall, this is a really great place to enjoy a drink or a meal in Orange. Not only is the food and the drink all really good, it's a very good atmosphere.

Rekindle was at the Taste of Orange this year and I enjoyed one of the Italian sandwich samples they were handing out. It was fantastic! We met the owner - she was very charismatic and charming. Today we stopped by to grab an Italian sandwich, and I just cannot believe they served me bread that was so old and dry - it would have been perfect for croutons, but definitely nothing like what we had at the Taste of Orange. The bread was so dry I had to dress it up with some olive relish to eat it - I don't expect when I pay $31 for a sandwich and chai iced tea latte to get home and have to start working on my sandwich. I accept some responsibility for this, because honestly, who goes to a coffee shop for a sandwich.

I got an iced coffee for the next morning and a jasmine tea for that evening -- both were exquisite. The tea was refreshing and the coffee is so flavorful, strong without being bitter and lots of delicious notes. The guy working behind the counter was so kind too -- appreciate his thoughtfulness once he found out I would drink it next morning, he held on putting ice in so it would stay concentrated til the next day. From my experience not a fan and have reason to return. She wanted bruschetta and when it arrived looking like an after thought I was worried. The dish had no flavor or balance, either tasted of raw garlic, balsamic vinegar or basil, no beautiful complimenting (and its the end of tomato season). The bread served with was ok, nice grill char and chewy texture. She ordered sausage pasta and I tried calzone. When plates arrived I wasn't sure server got orders correct. The plate set in front of me did not resemble a calzone at all, but a plain flatbread with nothing on top. I opened the flap to see a meager amount of ricotta and salumi inside, no mozzerella or parmesan to speak of. I tried a corner and it tasted like the bruschetta bread, there was no filling. When server came by I asked if it looked like a calzone and he said yes. I then opened the flap and asked again, stating calzones are filled and dough is pulled over crimped shut and baked. He asked if I wanted to have another one made and I asked if it would come out the same way. Then said no I don't want the same flat bread. I then tasted the "red sauce" on side. It tasted of warmed up plain tomato sauce/puree and nothing more. I asked server, when he returned and asked again if I wanted another calzone, what is in the "red sauce"? He stated, "onions, basil and oil." Funny, I tasted none of that. He took the plate away. I tasted the pasta, smelling first as I do, it had a faint smell of carbon. When I tasted it definitely tasted of charcoal and bland creamy tomato sauce. Carbon builds up when flames burn off fat in pan and leave a residue, that is what was tasted. The hostess was friendly, but did not engage while leading us to table and then set filthy, dirty menus down on top of B&B plates to cross-contaminate. Server either did not mention issue to manager, or manager did not care to touch table. I saw what looked like a manager, in a blue striped shirt with sleeves rolled up, come out to patio and back inside multiple times speaking to staff. Server took 50% off calzone, but should have been completely removed as it was horrible and not eaten. For price points the food and overall service is lacking greatly. There were multiple opportunities to not only impress but the turn a negative into a postive, none of it was accomplished. I am very curious about the amount of 4/5 star reviews, as that was not my experience at all. From the overall lack of flavor in food to mediocre service, and lack of response from management of my initial inquiry; I have no reason to ever return. I will also share my experience with others who inquire about centro. Really sad that was the experience with the prices being charged. And I liked the music they were playing. I will say for some reason when I was there like around 3:30 PM they opened the doors of the cafe and started cleaning and such.
