Had brunch here multiple times (at this location and others), and it's been enjoyable every single time. The menu is huge, which makes it hard to decide - but that's a good problem to have. My boyfriend is a big omelette fan, so he's always happy with the wide variety of omelette options. We've tried the Chicken Fried Steak, Mom Omelette, and the California Breakfast Burrito. Everything was delicious and the portions were generous. Service here really stands out. Several staff members stopped by to check in and make sure everything was going well. When I was packing up leftovers, our server Alex noticed my salsa container didn't have a lid and immediately asked if I wanted one so it wouldn't spill. It's those small, thoughtful gestures that make a big difference. Alex was our main server and did a fantastic job. We'll definitely be back.

Had free kids meal gift certificates so we finally tried this place out! Seated right away at 8:30am on a Sunday, with great quick service. Our kids loved their breakfasts, and so did we! I tried the new pineapple matcha and it was good! Biscuits and gravy so delicious, and mom's omelette was amazing too. Coffee was flowing, generous portions, clean place! We will totally be back!!

The service was good. The food was great cute little restaurant to eat at the wait was a bit long, but it was Mother's Day and it was only an hour, so really can't complain about that but we really loved it and enjoyed ourselves. Will be going there again soon, our waitress was great. I don't remember her name. We sat in a corner booth right when you walk into the right go by little couple booths and then the one in the corner there on Mother's Day morning about 10 1030. I wish I remembered her name but I'd like to give her props as well. She was a great waitress.

The broken yolk is a long time regular breakfast/brunch place for me. I've been eating here for many years. My girlfriend and I were looking for brunch while waiting for an appointment nearby so we hit up the broken yolk. As usual it didn't disappoint. We both went with the French toast combo. She ordered a side of country potatoes and we split them. We put ourselves on the online waiting list and were seated as soon as we arrived. Our hostess took drink orders and our server verified the drinks and took our orders. Our drinks came right out and our food followed shortly thereafter. We'll definitely be back.

The Broken Yolk Cafe really checks all the boxes for a prime brunch experience. The service was consistent and quick as we were able to be seated right away. There aren't any views available here but the chefs here can definitely cook one up for you.

This restaurant has a large fun menu with lots of choices you are sure to find something you may enjoy. The restaurant is clean and there is plenty of parking to be had. The service is ok. They are neither attentive nor are they dismissive. It could just be that I went in a Saturday afternoon and they were busy. The food itself to me was subpar. Avocado toast - very very thin layer of avocado. The toast was more a bread than toast so it didn't have that fun texture difference. Completely overloaded with the onions. Eggs Bennie- was sloppy in presentation and the egg was way over cooked. The sauce was nice but almost too much. I am unsure if it is just because I went on the weekend but the reviews do not match what I experienced. I may come again not during the weekend time to check.

Much better this time! I ordered for delivery. My husband loves breakfast so much. I like breakfast, but it's not my favorite. I ordered the build your own omelette with hash-browns and an orange juice. The omelette needed more cheese. It was all egg. My husband got a Cali breakfast burrito and the biscuit and gravy meal. He said it was really good and enjoyed it. Service was great, we got all the condiments we requested. Food was still warm on delivery.

The service here is amazing! I had called ahead to see if they could accommodate a large group with dogs and they said they could. I hadn't specified a time or asked for a reservation but when I arrived they had set aside a table for us already. The food was delicious with huge portion sizes. Everyone from our party had to get to go boxes because the plates were that large. I'd recommend trying out some of their omelettes or biscuits and gravy.

We went here for brunch on our LA trip. I ordered the Ranchero skillet...spices. Fast service. Love going here on our LA trips

Border Benedict with hashbrowns The Homefries are better than the Hashbrowns.
Jasmine N.

The Border Benedict is my jam. Sometimes the meat is a bit dry and not super flavorful, but the sauce with the sweet corn cake and all the other flavors are so good. They also have mimosa and Bloody Mary flights, which I loved because I always want to try everything. Their menu is definitely a bit overwhelming. When I couldn't decide, our server let us know we could mix and match Benedict's! That's awesome! I decided to mix and match and got one border and one sope Benedict. They were both delicious, but the border Benedict is still my favorite. Our server also offered us free reusable tote bags! I recently tried their takeout, which held up well! Of course I got the Border Benedict and my friend got the waffle. The Border Benedict was delicious as usual, but I wasn't happy they didn't let us know there was no butter or syrup in the bag for the waffle. They didn't ask me what kind of potatoes when I ordered over the phone, and i ended up with hashbrowns. The homefries are better. This place can get packed, so I try not to go during busy times, and make sure you check your order and ask for any condiments before you go!

Mexican Inspired American Breakfast! Food: The food was a bit bland, but I can appreciate the unique menu options for an American style restaurant! Service: Workers were kind and quick! Ambiance: The place is spacious and getting seating was fast! Lots of natural light!

Teacher Appreciation

In celebration of Teacher Appreciation Week, our team at Primrose School of Plano at Chase Oaks would like to thank John and the Broken Yolk for spoiling our staff with a delicious, warm, and tasty breakfast. We highly recommend this scrumptious restaurant for both its amazing food and excellent customer service!

Holiday decor!
Anthony F.

The Broken Yolk is one of our favorite breakfast chains. This spot didn't disappoint. The place isn't hard to find and there's plenty of parking. The inside is roomy and we were pleasantly surprised to see holiday-themed decor. You can argue about pulling out the Christmas tree before Thanksgiving, but it was nice. We came on a weekday around noon and it wasn't busy. We were seated and served promptly, with hot coffees and water brought out right away. I ordered a meat lover's skillet, which had ham, sausages, peppers and thinly sliced potatoes with three eggs on top, I ordered mine over easy, and opened them up so the yolk could mix into the rest of the food. The skillet didn't look as big as I had hoped, but it was plenty filling. My +1 ordered a salmon eggs Benedict, which was tender and delicious. The capers went well with the salmon and the hollandaise sauce brought it all together. They also have kid's options, and our little one must be in the middle of a growth spurt because he's constantly hungry. The generous portion of pancakes, along with a scrambled egg and two pieces of bacon, were enough to satisfy him. For the time being. Overall, the food was great, service was great, and we left satisfied.

It truly felt like everyone worked together to create a great experience. As for the food, yum... Brunch was unexpectedly delicious. And the jalapeño avocado crema, which I was honestly hesitant to try, ended up being one of my favorite parts of the meal. It was creamy, flavorful, and had just the right amount of kick. Ava helped me out today and was very friendly and attentive. I sat inside and it was such a cool vibe. The interior is very open and there's plenty of seating, also a bar with a few TVs. There's also an outside dining area which I've eaten at before and it's so nice to chill and people-watch on sunny days. I ordered the Wild King salmon today and it was BOMB!!! The presentation deserves bonus points, and the flavor in this dish truly packed a punch. There was a nice sear on the outside, while the rest of the fish was perfectly flaky and tender. The roasted potatoes and sautéed spinach were a great compliment to the fish and the pesto sauce tied everything together by adding immense flavor to the dish. I loved every single bite and they practically had to stop me from licking the plate clean. Highly recommend you try this dish when you go!! I'm a big fan of this place the couple times that I've been so far and can't wait to go back as I can tell everything I try will rock my tastebud's world.

No. No meant no table. She told me it would be a couple hour wait when I could see there were tables available. I made a reservation this Sunday. Unfortunately, buffet brunch only. I could see the chafing dishes from outside, but decided to dine here anyway. There was a family sitting outside on the patio, but since it was warm outside, when the hostess asked inside or outside, I said inside. The waitress told me about the $59/person Sunday brunch. No espresso drinks, but it includes bottomless mimosas. Champaign with orange, pineapple, cranberry juice, or all three. Yes, all three please. Eggs are custom made orders by request. The brunch buffet had great options. It included, pancakes, waffles, French toast, crepes, pasta, potatoes, cod, chicken, meats, salads, pizza, fruit, yogurt, various breads, crème brûlée, and mini chocolates. My mimosa was perfect, since I poured my side juices in myself. The food all tasted great. My complaint is the eggs. I ordered two fried eggs. I had to remind her of the order because I believe the kitchen forgot my eggs. She made an excuse that they were busy. I don't think so, since I could see the three of them from my table. When I received them, they were hot and fresh, but the worst fried egg I've ever had. Ugly and runny. A fried egg should be the easiest thing to prepare. Disappointing. The entire time I was here, there were at most five parties. One was a large group celebrating a birthday. Not crowded on Sundays. No reservation required. I only had two separate plates of food and a plate of desserts. Unless you eat or drink a lot, the price of the buffet brunch is not worth it. In summary, service was good. My champagne glass was never empty. Excluding the eggs, all the food tasted great. I like the overall look of the restaurant. The Sunday buffet brunch is not my first choice.
