This place is the best. Not only is the food delicious but on Sunday's they have a guy that makes cute little ballon animals. My only recommendation is to have more keto friends options. The Broken Yolk Cafe was our second choice for brunch on a Saturday. We were lucky when we arrived and there was no wait. Literally 10 minutes later the place was poppin'. The restaurant has booths, bar seating and a patio dining area. The hostess was very welcoming. As soon as we got seated, our server came by to bring us some beverages. She was attentive throughout the meal. After placing our order, the food came out fairly quickly. The menu is quite extensive with plenty of breakfast and lunch options. Our brunch choices:: ***Chilaquiles with green sauce. Spicy and good! You have the option of adding 2 eggs or chicken. I added two scrambled eggs and avocado. Instead of rice and beans, I subbed with hash browns which were much better! ***Chicken fried steak and eggs. The meat was tender and the country gravy was tasty. Choice of a side: home fries + bread: biscuit. The food was decent. They do offer breakfast specials daily from 6am-8am. They do have a wide selection of food. I've also had their chilaquiles which are yummy (red ones have a little kick). Mimosas are good, as well as their lattes. Broken Yolk has been on my list of restaurants to try for months. I finally visited on a Saturday morning around 10:30am. The wait was 20 minutes, but we sat at the bar because there was no wait. Our server immediately helped us out. I ordered the Stuffed French Toast which consists of bread, Mascarpone cheese, bananas, and caramel sauce. I loved it because it wasn't too sweet. My friend ordered the Buttermilk Pancakes Short Stack. The food overall was good, but not fantastic. The two cons of Broken Yolk were the noise level and parking. As soon as you walk in, you're overwhelmed with guests talking and kids yelling. I couldn't hear my friend talking until we went to the bar level where it wasn't as crowded. The parking was just as bad. There were no available spots so I parked in the residential area- a 5 minute walk. I'd return to try some of their other menu items such as the south of the border breakfast, but I'd go an earlier time to avoid the crowd of people. read more

Went to the the Broken Yolk Cafe in Orange, CA for breakfast this morning. I am a disabled veteran with a service dog. When the hostess saw my service dog, she immediately told me that she has to seat us outside because that is their policy, to which I replied no. Reluctantly, she sat us in the back of the resteraunt after whispering something to the other hostess. The food was pretty good but the service was sub par as every waitor and waitress walked my my table giving me and my dog a stare. Please read up on the Americans with Disabilities act and train your employees well so that another disabled person or veteran with a service animal does not feel unwelcome in your establishment. When it was our turn they took us to the backyard without asking us if we wanted to be seated inside or outside. Sunday mornings are busy and parking is LIMITED!! Come expecting to wait for a table. The staff are all friendly and nice. The outside patio is lovely and has heaters for chilly mornings.
