We came here as a suggestion from my sister. They have a wonderful deal for theatre goers. You can eat here and get 5 hours of valet parking for $10. Show your tickets. The restaurant is located in the hotel and only a few blocks away from the Civic Center. My party had two adults and two kids. Service was good and the food was decent. I have had better steaks before, but the fries were tasty. The Asian tacos were really popular with our kid (mind you that this is tofu and he has never had it before). My friend liked her salad and pizza and my son enjoyed his spaghetti and meatballs. The Brussels Sprouts were good, but I felt like they put too much balsamic vinegar on it. The food was delicious, the service, not so good. To start, the waitress never greeted us or gave us her name. First words out of her mouth were, "Is there anything you guys want to drink?" Ok, I've never started out a meal with that intro, and it really didn't get any better the rest of the meal. One of us specifically asked for their salad first and then the tacos for their entree. Well, another's entree came first (the only thing she ordered). The bowl of soup was placed on the table so that it was partially hanging off. A short time later all the other food came at the same time, minus of course 2 of the drinks we had initially ordered. Every time I asked where a drink was the response was "Oh the bar is behind", but then the wine or soda came immediately. We had a good laugh over everything, but definitely expected better service. Set inside the Westin Hotel, this was a lovely lunch place to celebrate the end of jury duty after multiple weeks. It is close to the courthouse but not too close The restaurant was clean with very modern decor. My server was kind, patient, and attentive. It was a later lunch and there weren't many people there. Because it was a later lunch I got the ribeye steak which comes with an arugula salad on the steak and fries. I was hungry and I ate all of it! The arugula salad was quite tasty, my ribeye steak was cooked to a perfect medium and came with a rich sauce on the side, and the fries had a fantastic texture. Our group of senior ladies (eleven of us!) took advantage of the dinner and valet parking special offer for those attending a show at the Broadway Theater. We attended the special showing of Menopause 2 last Wednesday night, and the entire evening was a great success. All of the Westin Hotel employees, from the valet attendants to the snack bar employees who cheerfully broke our $20 bills for tips were polite and friendly. Hotel decor was modern and in keeping with the downtown San Diego vibe. Bright, sparkling clean and inviting. On a scale of 1 to 100 (1 lowest/100 highest) I give the Bronze Bird a score of 100! I am not usually a fan of hotel restaurants, but our entire party was happy with their dinners, especially at the price point. I chose the tomato basil soup and fish tacos - both were excellent - and I took a small piece of my friend's salmon, perfectly prepared (and I made a mental note to recommend to my husband when I make a return trip with him at a future date). I split a dessert with a friend - fresh berries, chocolate and sorbet (yum!) Our server, Javier was outstanding! He spent a lot of time patiently answering our party's questions and explaining the dishes in further detail if we wished. Service was prompt, yet we were not rushed; and Javier was readily available when we needed anything. And - he produced separate checks for all eleven of us! My Mom and I chose this restaurant because they partner with the San Diego Civic Center. It was a 5-minute walk to the theater. AND they give you a 20% discount on food and a $10 valet. So great! I have worked in downtown and just recently found out about this place a month ago and I have been here around six times for lunch. It's a nice walking distance from work and fortunately doesn't get busy even when there's a lot of people for conferences etc. They have daily specials for $15 and the ones I have tried is their burger special and pizza specials and it comes with a drink. Monday and Fridays are burgers, Tuesdays are tacos, Wednesdays are soup and salad and Thursdays are pizzas. Let's talk about the burgers first. The burger is amazing. I don't normally go for burgers as much but I've had this burger 4 out of 6 times I've been there. They make it the way I like it which is medium, the flavor is spot on and the char on it just takes it to another level. It comes with lettuce, tomatoes and pickles on the side and fries. The fries are super crispy and is flavored really well too. For the pizza, let me just tell you, its HUGE. I actually think its closer to a medium size pizza. Definitely bigger than a regular size paper plate. I tried the sopressata and the honey pepperoni. BOTH AMAZING!!! Had a good amount of cheese and toppings on it. Sopressata is an italian dry salame and they cut it on the thicker side and it is delicious. The honey pepperoni had the perfect amount of heat and sweetness so it is not overwhelming. I highly recommend all of it. I will try the other items someday but I am pretty attached to the burger and pizza for now. Service is great here. The servers take care of everyone and is always paying attention to what you need. We normally get Ramon and he recognizes us when we go there now. He is a stellar server. All in all, this place is amazing. I love the decor and the way it is set up. Even when its crowded, it doesn't get noisy and loud there so you don't have to yell across the table. Hope to try their dinner and maybe restaurant week here one day but I highly recommend the lunch fare.. 100%! (Will add more pics later) read more

You got your chicken wings, salad, flatbread pizza's, burger, tacos, including a full bar. It's also connected with a sports bar next door that is open until midnight. Hours of operation are 6:30am-10pm Visually, the restaurant is very eye appealing with a contemporary farmhouse decor. The first night I dined in, there was a large wedding reception being held outside, very busy night. Second time I came in was on a week night and it wasn't as busy as before. All the servers, hostess, busers are super friendly and quick on their feet. Food is served hot with nice presentations. Convenient if you're in the Downtown San Diego Area. I've had the burger here and it was amazing. No exaggeration. One of the best hidden burger gems in San Diego. But came here for dinner on a whim after some business meetings in the hotel. Started with watermelon margarita. Perfect blend of sweet and a touch of heat. Normally watermelon isn't my thing. This was fantastic. Also got a strawberry martini made with gin. I ordered the carne asada dip. Very good flavor profile. My partner had the rock fish tacos which seem to be a staff favorite. Also very good! But, I always judge a restaurant by the service. Rob (up front) and Javier (our server) were top notch in their attentiveness. Quick with recommendations and accommodating our needs. They were great, but Otto stole the show. Otto...not sure his position...but he was everywhere and exuded kindness at every table. Such a great guy! We topped off the evening with some churros with house whipped cream and chocolate dipping sauce. Yum! If I wasn't stuffed and unable to move, I would have kept eating. I should mention that there were a few proms going on in the area. The team was very busy. The restaurant was deservedly packed. But that didn't stop top notch service and food.
