Had to wait over 15 minutes just to get water and have waiter take our order- and restaurant was less than 1/2 full. A shame, now I have to find another place to take our customers. This is a great family style restaurant and I have been coming here regularly over the years. Great place to bring my kids. We have mostly come here for breakfast and dinner and are always pleased. Staff is friendly and the restaurant atmosphere is always warm and friendly. My kids love the turkey dip sandwiches and the French dip. I eat more salads these days and feel like they have good choices. Have eaten many other things on the menu and haven't been disappointed. I have now been to all 3 locations and every time I go, I like it more and more. My husband and I visited last week for breakfast and it was great! We love Brookfield's and have been coming for years. It's all remodeled and the food is as good as ever. Great breakfasts, lunches, and dinners like you'd make at home & they are healthful. The menu shows calories which I appreciate. Prices are right too! Only thing is - it's gotten very crowded and lately we wait more often now. Only downside. The waitresses & waiters are all SO nice! They get good tips from us even if we have to wait a little longer now. PS we go back often and I get turkey dinner frequently. Last time something was off. The turkey was not fresh and tough (like thickened deli meat). Turned us off - I could not eat the main part of dinner - the turkey (white meat is usually good). read more

It USED to be excellent but now it is horrible as it is all potato and practically no corned beef. It is an effort to save money for the company at the expense of the customer. Changes at this location: quality and portion sizes of food, poor service, higher prices. They weren't busy, but there was no one manning the host stand/front desk. When a staff person arrived, they were wearing a pained expression, as if it was tough to be there. Again... they weren't busy. No way that was a $12 burger. Nasty strip of bacon was nothing but fat. Burger small. Bun larger to fill the plate. Dinner turkey with globs of fat on the slices. Very tiny pieces of turkey, very high price. Maybe two spoons of stuffing, at best. Huge mound of mashed potatoes; of course, the cheapest thing to fill the plate. No cornbread as they once offered. Forgot the salad for which I opted to pay extra. We made a reservation over the phone, showed up on time and was seated within about 5 mins. Service was slow. (Which can be understandable). As we were waiting for our food new people came in and were seated and ordered their food about 10 to 15 mins after we did and they received there food before us. While visiting family in Roseville I was introduced to Brookfields, and let me tell you, brunch was a delight. I ordered the cinnamon swirl French toast breakfast that comes with a side of eggs, bacon, AND sausage. The cinnamon toast was fluffy yet with the perfect amount of crunch, with a gooey cinnamon spread. I also ordered a refreshing raspberry mimosa with blueberries, I recommend getting the bottomless mimosas if you choose the raspberry mimosa, you're basically ordering bottomless champagne for $14. The wait was short and the ambience was calm and family-friendly. Our waitress was prompt with our orders and kept the mimosas flowing. I would give this place 5 stars but my friend thought the eggs benedict were so-so (I will test out her critique for myself next time). The strawberry lemonade is so bad. Not even tolerable, like yeah, I can understand having bad lemonade, but this was just rancid. The lemonade itself tasted like the lemons were rotten and the water was reused from the dirty dishes. The strawberries were soggy, like as if they had been frozen for a year and then defrosted in boiling water, which they then put on top of said dirty dishwater lemonade. literally disgusting. My husband and I went to Brookfields today. I ordered a mocha for $4.99 with half the chocolate and some whipped cream. I didn't notice until I got home they charged $1.00 for a dab of whipped cream for my mocha. Really???? What amounted to less than a teaspoon of whipped cream for $1.00? I don't think so. I guess we will have to find a restaurant that makes mochas with whipped cream which is the way they are supposed to be made anyway. You just lost our business. If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. I had ordered the chicken alfredo and when i got it, it was literally penne noodles with unseasoned chicken (not even salted) drenched in oil. It was literally a bowl of oil soup. I did not see any sort of sauce whatsoever. Nothing creamy or at alfredo sauce. I tried to eat some of it to no waste money and got food poisoning later on the same day within a couple hours. Worst night ever. I gave the Folsom Brookfields a less than pleasant review after my last visit there, and realized I'd never given the other locations the reviews they deserve! I have not been here in some time, and only visited this specific location about thrice, but, the food is always delicious and the service is great! The servers are attentive, and even other servers jump in to help if yours is not nearby. The quality of the food is superb, and it's a decent value. I'm willing to pay for better ingredients and techniques! LOVE Brookfields. The only reason it's not a 5 star review is because I save those for exceptional, above and beyond service. I'd give a 9/10 if I could which is better than 8/10 reflected by the review. read more

We stopped by after early evening mass last Sunday and since it was a hectic day, I didn't have a chance to eat which gave me a good excuse to order my favorite pancake meal for dinner. The food was good but could have been better if it wasn't so cold when eaten. I am one of those people that doesn't enjoy my pancakes/syrup intermingling with my eggs/bacon/sausage so I always ask for an extra plate so I can separate the sweets from the savories. When our food arrived, I didn't get my extra plate and asked for one again. The waitress said she would bring one. After 7-8 minutes, no plate yet so we asked the gentleman (who we assumed to be the floor mngr) if we could get one. He also said sure, right away. After a few minutes, I was able to stop our waitress and ask for the plate again and pointed at my meal that was untouched and getting colder. She said sorry and that she would get it right now. At this point, T was almost half way through her meal because I told her not to wait fot me (no need for both of us to eat cold food). Somewhere between 15-17 minutes, I finally received my extra plate. And although it may not seem like a long time in general, it's a long time when your a hungry customer watching your food get cold before your eyes. I began eating my meal and because of the wait and because it was cold, I didn't enjoy it like previous meals. T was trying to eat slow but she was pretty much done by the time I began. Half way through my meal, the gentleman who we also asked an extra plate from came by with one and said sorry and asked if I still needed it. I declined. Needless to say, this visit was a disappointing one (mainly due to the service). Granted, it was during Sunday dinner service and it was busy but not packed (at least our section). The other thing that was disappointing was that our empty drink glasses (one soda & one ice tea) went unattended. We placed them at the edge of our table (which commonly means they need attention) and waited for our waitress or anyone to ask if we wanted a refill. It took quite awhile each time we needed refills. Although I did notice that when I placed the bill and my credit card at the edge of the itable, it was picked up within two minutes. I love Brookfields on Talor Rd in Roseville! My family and I go there for special breakfast gatherings. Their Belgian waffles are the best - they add vanilla and cinnamon to them. Also Dad loves their bran muffins - they add a bit of pineapple to them so they are so moist. They are my go to breakfast place. read more

Trish is an awesome waitress. She anticipated a lot of our needs before we had them. I got a Newport Beach omelet, side salad with ranch on the side, wheat toast dry, & a mocha freeze with caramel. Everything I had was awesome. Trish even came back and asked about whipped cream which I didn't want (Trish anticipating) My mom got coffee with nonfat milk. She got an artichoke omelet, side salad with ranch on the side, no feta cheese (because Trish asked anticipating again.). My husband got Pepsi, Trish anticipated before he needed a refill. He also got a bowl of chili (crackers because Trish asked him) & french dip. When we left Trish made several trips to get us boxes and an au ju container and change for cash payment. She is awesome.
