I came here with my family for a birthday celebration and my family and I truly enjoyed the dining experience here. We were a party of eight people and two children. We ordered 4 Caesar salads and one house salad. We ordered two large pies, one regular pie and a pepperoni pie. We also ordered fried calamari for an appetizer to share as a group, and we also shared a calzone with tomatoes and sausage to share altogether. Everything here was amazing. The service was pretty fast and we came to dine at a great time because there wasn't a lot of people. We typically avoid busy times for dining with children. I have two energetic nephews, which is why we avoid dining out as a family at busy times. I would love to come here again as my parents loved it here. My parents both ordered eggplant parmigiana and thought it was phenomenal. 10/10 pizza restaurant recommendation

Solid brick oven large pie well done. Was ready in about 20 min on Sunday afternoon. Cash only. A+ taste size quality and price. Brooklyn Brick Oven Pizzeria - in! How you doin? They're doin well!

This used to be a fantastic place, but unfortunately, it's not the same anymore. The quality of the pizza has gone down; they put very few ingredients on it, and they raised the prices way too much. On top of that, they only accept cash payments. We definitely won't be coming back -- we spent $71 on two pizzas, and you could barely see the eggplant (only three small pieces), and the pepperoni too. What a shame, but this is the last time we'll go there.

    Watery sauce & zero flavor.

This place has definitely changed. Have been coming here for years. Servers are friendly, some have been there a long time. Was a regular at the Edgewater location when I lived nearby. Quality of the pizza isn't good anymore. I know places have there off days, ordered a personal that came with watery sauce. Fried mozzarella, not fresh. Refried & cold. Flat soda. Didn't eat and went home sick. It's a wrap for me here.

We ordered a medium pie with green peppers, sausage, and mushrooms for pickup -- and it was excellent! You can tell they make each pizza fresh right when you arrive, even for takeout. The ingredients tasted high quality, and the wood-fired crust had that perfect crisp with just enough chew. We also tried the fried calamari, which was crispy, not greasy, and came with a tasty marinara sauce on the side. One heads-up: it's cash only, which we didn't know ahead of time, so just plan for that. Otherwise, great service, solid food, and cozy, no-frills vibes. We'll definitely be back with the whole family next time. Highly recommend!

Great, delicious and some of the best pizza I've had in a while! BUTTTT this establishment is CASH ONLY, so leave the credit card at home on your trip here. I've been here a few times, once for pickup and once for dine in (and I'm SURE I'll be back many more times in the future). For the dine-in, we arrived super early ... as in super duper early just when they opened for lunch on a Saturday at 12PM. The reason we went for lunch and not for dinner was because we noticed that they only served their personal pies during lunch and what better way to get different pies with different toppings without taking home 20 leftover slices of pizza????? In the times I came for pick up and dine-in, we've had a chance to try the Cheese and Tomato pie with pepperoni (in large and personal pie sizes) and White Pie (Ricotta, Mozzarella, Garlic) with pepperoni. FYI, The restaurant only serves 2 types of pies - Cheese & Tomato and White - with toppings coming in at anywhere from $1-$3 each depending on the size of the pie. Pizza verdict?? SUPERB. DELICIOUS. SO FRESH. Both of their pies were some of the very best pizzas that I have had in a long, long while. If you've been to L&B Spumoni Gardens in Brooklyn, the tomato sauce here on their Cheese and Tomato pie sort of reminded me of the flavors there because it was so tangy. The pepperoni cups were a bit out of sorts on the large Cheese and Tomato pie we had for takeout and it was clear that it was haphazardly just thrown on because they were concentrated in certain areas of the pie. In some areas, there were 2-4 roni cups stacked on top of one another. Minor issue, but the pizza was still, of course, really, REALLY good. Also, if you do takeout here, oddly, and, this is truly the 1st time I ever experienced this, the pizza was served in a paper bag instead of a box. Maybe I haven't been to enough pizzerias nationwide, but I had never, everrrrr had a pizza handed to me in just a bag. Not very practical, but, it's what is inside that counts right? The restaurant is much more than a great pizzeria and they have a menu full of appetizers (great calamari), pasta entrees, strombolis and calzones. As I said, we will DEFINITELY be back.

This was our first visit, we had to come since my husband saw a TikTok clip and we were intrigued. Absolutely delicious pizza! Appetizers: 1. First off, we love how light and crispy the calamari batter is, well seasoned too! The squid itself was so smooth and easy to chew, not rubbery at all. 2. Mix hot appetizers consists of 4pc fried raviolis, 2 pc fries mozzarellas, and 2 pc chicken tenders. All amazing, especially the fried fresh mozzarellas. Unfortunately, the ravioli pastas were tough to chew! Pizza: We ordered a large pie and customized our pizza. I really love the fresh mozzarella cheese and the touch of fresh cut basils. 1.My husband ordered his half with sausage and pepperoni. He loved it! 2. I ordered my half with mushroom, olives, and peppers. I probably wouldn't order the mushrooms next time since my side of the pie ended up too mushy. Each topping has its own set price, and our pie was charged for 5 toppings, and it came out at $28. It is on the high end considering how thin the pies are made. Notes: 1. Plenty of parking. 2. We went for a late lunch at 3:30pm and overheard a staff inform a walk-in customer that they close at 4pm. Seems like staffs were having their lunch break and prob to prepare for the dinner crowd. They should update their hours on Google Maps to avoid and discrepancies. 3. Our waiter could be friendlier and welcoming with at least a smile. 4. Cash only. 5. No free soda refills. 6. Yes, we will definitely return!! Pies are delicious when eaten fresh.

Brooklyn's came highly recommended by so many people when I first moved to Jersey over 4 years ago, and now it's one of my top favorites. I always order half regular sauce with hot sausage and half white with no toppings. The pizzas are HUGE. The cheese so melty and stretchy; the garlic fragrant; the crust so crispy. I live 5minutes away and will often do take out but eating there takes the pizza to another level. It's just so good when it's piping hot straight out of the brick open. The fried ravioli is also good but the real hidden gem is the chocolate cake! You HAVE to get the chocolate cake slice. So moist and decadent.

    Marie Y.

The pizza here is delicious, and definitely one of the best in the area especially given the price and the size of a large pie. At the same time, I am only giving this restaurant three stars due to its inconsistency. Sometimes the pizza bottom is fine with no burns, while other times, the bottom is completely burnt and I wonder if I am eating a slice of pizza or a piece of charcoal. Despite this hit-or-miss situation, I keep returning for more pizza when I am in the area. The pizza is really that good, especially when not burnt! The restaurant is cash only, so make sure to have $21 on hand for a large plain pie.

Best Pizza in New Jersey! My husband who's from NY always says NJ has bad pizza, but he tried this place and changed his mind. Pizza is juicy and flavorful and not soggy! Passes the flop test and thin as paper. Service is fast casual. Busy restaurant. This place is definitely eat and go place. It was a full house on Friday night but wait was fast. Now my husband will only have pizza from here.

Service was amazing!! Antipasto was Soo good, mushrooms were a very nice addition. Pizza was delicious and crust was perfect. Cute atmosphere with lots of pictures.

    Large pepperoni and cheese pie

Brooklyn Pizza is one of our go-to spots. The menu is small and it's cash only, but the fresh food and consistently good service keep us coming back. We usually get a large pie with toppings and a couple of appetizers -- always hits the spot. Prices are reasonable too -- our last visit was under $50 for everything. Just a heads-up: CASH ONLY, so come prepared!

Called in to make an order, and the owner say it was a busy day, so my pie would be reading in 45-minutes, instead of 25-30. I assumed if people are willing to frequent there, I'll join the queue. I ordered the Drunken Peps Detroit Style Pizza, which had "mozzarella cheese, two types of pepperoni (original sliced/cup & char), homemade vodka sauce, and freshly grated pecorino romano cheese." First off, the pie is huge --- completely worth the $26.96 I paid for it. Secondly, the photos don't do it justice --- it is steaming hot upon pick-up, and that very generous layer of sauce on the top was *chef's kiss*. Although the crust may appear very dark i the photos, it was actually perfect --- and provided that nice *crunch* and *crackle* that those crunchy cheesy edges provide. If you're in the area and looking for some pizza -variety- then I totally recommend this place. Pizza Knight for the win!

As I entered the parlor, it is a hole in the wall with minimal seating and no AC unit. Regardless that it wasn't fancy, I still had a very gut instinct the quality of their pies was going to be on the money. When I arrived a weekday afternoon to place my order, the cashier informed me there will be a 40 minute wait. For the fact that the wait is this long indicates there are in demand and their pizza is top quality. I also saw framed plaques along their table counter showing they received positive media recognition from The Record, northjersey.com, and bestofnj.com. Hot Honey Heaven: I was initially skeptical about the appearance of this pie because it looks kind of messy. However, I took a single bite and was immediately hooked. This pie was topped with pepperoni, crispy chicken, and ricotta cheese. Mike's Hot Honey was generously poured over the top. It has a combination of sweet and spiciness. I never anticipated honey would enhance the flavor of the pie; I wish I requested an extra cup! Grumpy's Triple Threat: Named after the restaurant, this pie is prepared with pesto, grandma sauce, and pink tomato sauce. The sprinkled parmigiano reggiano added a nice touch. I especially liked the artistic appearance. The three colors were visually appealing, especially with the swirls of pesto. All pies are prepared with their signature sourdough pizza crust. Each slice had a perfect undercarriage and a firm crunch. Customers have the option to bake the pies may light, medium, or well-done. I chose medium because a majority of the customer base prefers this style. As a bonus, Grumpy's offer complimentary crust upgrades. I opted to add garlic butter brush; the outer crust edge was literally brushed with hot, garlic-infused butter. While it is common to throw away the top portion of the pizza, the upgrade is definitely an incentive to eat the crust. San Marzano tomatoes are the primary ingredient for the sauce. It's not overly sweet and has a light tang. This pizzeria is geared for take out, but there are plenty of benches only minutes away at Saddle River County Park. You can enjoy your pie while admiring the beautiful scenery of the park. The parking lot has limited spaces, but you can easily find a spot on the street. Grumpy's may be a hole in the wall, but the pizza was outstanding. I'm really exuberant that I had a pristine experience exploring sourdough crust for the first time! I was far from "grumpy" after dining here! #grumpys #grumpyssourdoughpizzaco #grumpystriplethreat #hothoneyheaven
