This was the first time we ever used movers and they were splendid! The scheduling process was easy and smooth to do. The movers arrived promptly and prepared with all necessary materials. They were quick and efficient and completed the project in about 3ish hours (both move out and move-in) and handled our items with care. They are also reasonably priced in comparison to other movers we researched (about $300-$390). The reason for 4/5 stars was due to communication in language (the two movers who came to help us with the move didn't speak English well so it was a bit of a struggle but we were able at least communicate enough to get the process going). My move was over the weekend for a 1 bedroom and I'm amazed! This is the first time I hired movers and rented boxes. Most of the things I packed but the two gentlemen that day were able to protect my furniture/TV and bundle everything together to load. Estimated 2 hours but it ended up being under 3 (because I have too much stuff lol). They were professional, no-nonsense, asked questions to make sure on placement of furniture or boxes in the new place. They put rugs down to prevent damage from their dollies and just went to work nonstop. I highly recommend Brother Movers and will definitely use them again in the future. Fast, efficient, professional. - Fast - they clearly try to go as fast as possible. They do not dilly dally like some others. - Efficient - they had better moving technique. Instead of carrying one box at a time, they stack them, wrap them in plastic wrap into 1 item and move them as one unit. Amazing. - Had proper equipment - they had a ton of blankets to protect my stuff. Others didn't. Also had specialty boxes for my clothes. Others didn't. - Careful - very conscientious. I always see the Brother Movers trucks at my apartment complex, so when it was time for us to move, we decided to look into them. I submitted an inquiry on their website and received a quote via text and call a couple hours later. The price was extremely reasonable and their schedule is very flexible. On the day of the move, the movers texted me ~20 minutes prior arrival. Once they arrived, they got right to work. They are extremely efficient and thorough. We had 2 movers going from an 1B/1B apartment to a 2B/1B townhouse. We weren't done packing by the time they came, but they helped us finish packing and had extra boxes/wardrobe boxes/etc. They disassembled and reassembled all furniture with ease and took great care of my partner's gaming PC. They also came with power tools in case they were needed. I was a bit worried because my apartment was on the 2nd floor with stairs only, but they navigated it with ease. We just sat around and provided directions when asked. Once we got to the new place, we directed them to the rooms and they helped set up our furniture and boxes. They unpacked the wardrobe boxes, and we asked them to leave the other boxes for us to take care of. The move took about 3 hours. The final cost matched the quote, so there were no surprises there. They're reliable - came ten minutes early, did a walk through of the house, and then they got to work. Worked with Jack and team a total of three times for a big move recently. Two times were great. Easy and crazy quick to schedule. Onsite the guys were strong, efficient and friendly. The most recent time was not that. The guys spoke zero English, zero which made it incredibly hard to work with. They were rude just pushing their phone in my face with Google Translate, pointing at items aggressively and not just pleasant. We had to call the office several times to translate on the project. The office then questioned the project and wanted to start fresh on locations and pricing which I would not do. We had already agreed upon everything through text, I'm not starting again because their guys on-site had to call. They took forever to drive to the move location, I drove there as well and easily beat them. They wasted my time and money with their working style and attitude. Even some random guy showed up to bring them what looked like supplies at my move location. Supplies were not needed for my move. Never spoke to me but spoke with them and again they were on my clock, it should never have happened. It was very disappointing experience after two great ones. Geez, read what I WROTE and don't CLAIM that I was inflexible and insisted on scheduling a time you could not make because of another customer already scheduled, because that is straight up - a lie! I asked YOU to tell ME when you were free at that time on a day you could make in the future! YOU had the choice. Don't make things up! There was no telling me that you had customers already scheduled, as you claim - geez. And clearly you did not have every single morning for the next nearly half year, when I was asking, completely booked up. so you could have chosen a morning. I did easily find several more reasonable movers though, who could communicate clearly. It was not a high bar. I felt compelled to answer here at this late date because I vividly remember the whole situation. We had an excellent experience with Brother Movers yesterday. The crew was very professional and very efficient. During the entire 7-hour full-service move, everything arrived at the new place in good shape. The crew primarily spoke Chinese, and sometimes my Chinese was not adequate, so I had to guess what the crew was asking or telling me, or ask someone else onsite for a translation. There were a few misunderstandings, like how the kids beds in the old place needed to just go into the garage instead of to the 3rd floor (where we had already purchased replacement beds for the kids). The crew was very gracious about moving the old beds back down to the garage when I realized the error. One of the specialty items we wanted moved was an upright piano. As soon as the crew leader saw that my new home had seven steps to reach the first landing (to the living room), he immediately told me that the piano moving would need to cost more than I was originally quoted (which was based on the piano staying on "the first floor"). Given that the original quote was given to me based on simply my verbal description of the two properties and not a visual inspection, I guess I shouldn't be surprised. And for the amount of care they took to wrap and protect the piano, and the labor needed to raise it the couple of steps necessary to get to our living room, I felt it was worth the extra cost. This is the second time I hire brother movers, professional, fast, and amazing as last time. They wrap/pack things so skillfully and used carts to load/assemble tens of boxes + furnitures from a 3-story townhome to trunk so fast that I wasn't even aware of half of the home has already been emptied. They also use specialized wrappers to protect home floors/carpets/furnitures throughout the whole process. The pricing is also amazing and reasonable. We've moved house 3 times in the last 4 years and this moving experience was by far the best. The Brother Movers team was amazing! Communication before the move was great, transparent pricing, and efficient box pickup after the move. The move itself couldn't have gone smoother - the movers were so unbelievably fast, treated all our belongings with care, and crucially, kept things where they were supposed to be (eg plastic wrapped wardrobe drawers shut so that once they were in the new home, we could just take the plastic wrap off and voila!
