We were driving through the area and we're a bit hungry so we decided to stop here at Brother café. It was a bit busy when we got there needed to wait about 20 minutes before we were seated customer service is great. we placed our drink orders they brought them over pretty fast. We went over the menu. Trying to decide if we wanted breakfast or lunch. There's a lot of selection. It's a bit overwhelming. The menu is pretty big. We finally made our decision placed. Our order. Waited about 10:00/15:00 minutes for our food. Everything was really good lots of flavor good presentation glad we found this place to try while in the area. Also a side note there was a homeless gentleman sitting in the doorway area and he was patiently waiting. They brought him over some food and a coffee for him, and I thought that was awesome and very touching that they would do that for him.

I've been wanting to try this place, I came in excited by the amount of people who were seated and dining already. My waitress approached me at my table, she was nice and offered the chicken apple sausage instead of bacon. Unfortunately this breakfast was luke warm, the hottest item on my table was the coffee. I ate some and requested a to-go container to take home. Maybe I should try coming for lunch?

My son and i came back to brothers cafe to try it again and this time it was better, but out of the three restaurants, i think i like the Sonoma diner a little better and your only thing i really could complain about is the fact they use those tiny take spoon size coffee creamer 1/2 n 1/2 cups. I recommend checking in on Yelp as you begin your experience as our server started out so so and after checking in he was suddenly checking in constantly. The gravy was a little on the watery side compared to the other two spots (This and Sonoma diner at owned by the Hole in the Wall cafe in sebastopol). The bacon was great and the scramble was good too. I like the windows in the place, it would be a convenient breakfast place to hop over ti if you were staying at the sandman hotel.

Unexpected menu options that lean more towards delicacy than diner. They even have a drive thru! Staff is attentive. Food tastes good. The short ribs are tender, but just a little dry. For a neighborhood/roadside diner, the housekeeping is good. There's also free ample parking.

Service has always been friendly, ambiance is comfortable and relaxed and food is overall tasty. For me, though we only visit on occasion, we go because it has a great neighborhood vibe and the interaction with regulars is enjoyable to watch. Most recently I ordered the French dip - bread was grilled but soft, onions and mushrooms were present but not overwhelming, the Swiss cheese perfectly melted, and the au jus flavorful ...but the meat was so so. The bummer part is that's the main part of the dish. (For old timers, Singletree Inn has ruined me for French Dips.) Hubby ordered a bacon burger and enjoyed it just fine. Great option in the area!

Fairly good experience. My mom and boyfriend had great meals, while my biscuits and gravy were lack luster. The pancakes were phenomenal and the burrito was flavorful, but the biscuits were crunchy and the mushroom gravy lacked flavor. I'd rather have to add salt and hot sauce to make something tasty than the opposite - so overpowering that I can't fix it at all. Service was hustling. It was a busy Sunday morning and the staff was on their game. I'm impressed that this is a drive through, too!

Have been wanting to come in for quite a while now but I don't go to many breakfasts out because it's not my favorite meal. The coffee here is first of all fantastic and locally sourced. Food and service were both good. Portions weren't huge but we felt plenty full with what we each ordered. Will be going back. Our waiter recommended short rib as a favorite on the menu.

This place never disappoints! Stopped today and tried their Crab Louis Salad. It was so good with lots of fresh vegetables, hard-boiled egg, avocado, tomatoes and lettuce. Also fresh crisp spring asparagus. The Dungeoness Crab was generously heaped on top. The service was great too. I really recommend this cafe!

Amazing breakfast. I had the smoked salmon Benedict and my husband had ham & eggs. The smoked salmon Benedict had a perfect balance of salmon, eggs, & cornichons. The hollandaise was flavorful, and the home fries were light & crispy. I can't tell you about the ham & eggs, but my husband did clean his plate. There was a great variety of items on the menu and at 8:30 a.m., everything was available to order. Fast & friendly service too.

Visited Brothers Cafe on a Sunday morning. Never been here before so my boyfriend and I decided to give it a try. We arrived around 9am. Once inside we were told to pick a table of our own. There were plenty of spots to choose from so we grabbed a sunny booth table. We were almost immediately greeted and got some drinks going. We ordered a green goddess juice and coffee. Soon after we got some food started as well, I ordered the funguy omelette with sourdough toast, my partner got the two eggs any style, scrambled, with bacon. Service was awesome! There were always checking in to fill our coffee and waters. Food came out pretty quick too! They have handy sides of hot sauce, butter, and jam for all your breakfast needs. We both enjoyed our meals and the service. Prices were great too! We will certainly be back.

Pretty chill diner that we found on our way to Redwoods from San Francisco! Staff is quick and friendly. Looks like a typical diner that offers breakfast, lunch and dinner options. Parking is pretty easy. Everyone enjoyed their meals! The crepe was filling and I loved that they used a variety of mushrooms instead of the typical sliced bellas plus you can get it with a side of fries (regular or sweet potatoes), salad or soup. Really happy we found this spot!

We were at the mall and decided to try this place for the first time since it's just a mile down Cleveland Avenue. We are familiar with Hole in the Wall and we knew this place would not disappoint with the top reviews it has been earning. As we approached the front doors, we were surprised to see that there were people waiting for a table on a Monday afternoon. The tables were indeed full but we were seated under the atrium windows within a couple minutes. A server asked us for our drink orders and he provided menus that were several pages long. The menu items look familiar to Hole in the Wall and so we anticipated that this place would serve up delicious food as well. We ordered the reuben with a side caesar salad and the chicken sandwich with a green salad. Meals were prepared quickly and delivered to our table. We both took a bite of our salads and wow, the greens were fresh and tasty. We really enjoyed our sandwiches as well. Mine had a nice portion of chicken and great flavor. The chicken was nice and juicy. I took half home and it tasted just as good on day 2. Since we were sitting under the atrium windows, it felt quite warm, but within 10 minutes, the a/c had kicked on and it was quite pleasant. Our server was friendly and attentive. We noticed all the employees hustle and work hard, including the manager, who walks around and picks up dishes and asks diners if we would like a coffee refill. Great place for a quick and delicious bite in a friendly atmosphere. Open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Happy hour drink specials from 2-6, M-F.

The original brew master became the co-owner when the winery left the beer business in 2003. It was then moved this location in 2004, opening as a brewpub. It's been on my list of places to visit for a while, so my wife, her mom, and I took the opportunity to stop in for a Thursday night dinner on our way to San Francisco from Fort Bragg. The inaugural double IPA (aka Imperial IPA) was made by the current co-owner at a different brewery in 1994. Double means it uses double the hops and malts, and the ABV is quite a bit higher. He then created Pliny the Elder (ABV 8.0%) in 2000, recognized as the most famous DIPA. The track continued, with Pliny the Younger in 2005, a triple IPA (using triple the hops and malts with ABV of 10.25%). This version is available once a year in the spring, since it costs so much money and time to make. With so much malt being used, a large amount of time (and hops) is needed to balance. I've had Pliny the Elder in bottles before, and really liked it: I don't like the hoppy 'piney' taste in my beers, but also recognize that not enough will make the beer too sweet (which I've been facing with a lot my island beers lately). Parking is street only, but there was a lot of it, with the metered parking only requiring payment till 6 pm. We were greeted warmly by the hostess and immediately seated at a table near the bar. As expected, it was quite loud, with after work folks having a good time. We got menus, ordered our food, and then decided what to do about flights. The brewery is also known for their Belgian style and thus offers two different flights. It was my first time, and didn't know how much my wife could help, so decided to order the California Sampler (a selection of 12 different West Coast 5 oz. pours of ales and lagers for $15.45) to start: O.V.L. Stout (Old Vic Loyals) - Irish nitro stout - really beginning to love stouts, and this one was good. Velvet Glow - lager - solid. Ending up buying 6 pack to bring home ($12.99) STS Pils - pilsner. Bought a 6-pack for $12.99. Russian River Porter - Blind Pig IPA - West Coast IPA Happy Hops - Juicy IPA Mosaic Stack - West Coast IPA SimCoe 25 - West Coast IPA Citra Flash Mob - West Coast IPA Mind Circus - Hazy IPA DDH Pliny the Elder - really good. bought two cans at $5.99 each. Pliny the Elder - the original Felt pretty good, so decided to order the Belgian Sampler (9 different for $13.63), Surprisingly, I didn't like it nearly as much (my favorite fruit beer during this trip was the Howzit Punch beer). Petite Robert - table beer Little White Lie - Belgian White Robert - saison Perdition - biere de sonoma Damnation - golden strong ale Mortification - quad Supplication - sour brown ale Intinction - barrel aged pilsner Consecration - sour dark ale In terms of the food, it was solid. I had the meatball sandwich ($16) and upgraded the fries to a spinach salad (+$4): it was tasty, loved the toasted French bread and marinara sauce, with the meatballs being OK (tasted from frozen)...loved the spinach salad with strawberries and blue cheese. We finished off our meal with a Vinnies (co-owner) sundae: good vanilla ice cream with whipped cream, chocolate sauce, and a lot of almond slivers. Payment was at the table, and me being again very pleasantly surprised at how little the flights were (a typical brewpub where they charge $3-$4 per 5 oz, would have cost 4 times as much...though of course I wouldn't have drunk as much either).

My family and I stopped by The Goose & Fern to watch a World Cup match because their website had…read moreadvertised that they'd be showing the game. My wife and I had just visited Abbey Tavern this past weekend, a premier Scottish pub in the City, and we expected a similar atmosphere. However, the moment we showed up, we were met with great disappointment. The Goose & Fern is honestly a terrible place to watch a sports match: there was only a single TV mounted in the back corner of the restaurant, the TV wasn't particularly large, and the speakers had been turned completely off. What a bust. Although the food was decent, especially the Shepherd's pie -- which came piping hot in a small cast iron skillet, the service was downright dreadful and almost non-existent. We never received waters (or were even asked if we wanted beverages), our table wasn't given enough silverware, we were never checked on during the meal, and we were waiting around for 30 minutes twiddling our thumbs before somebody from our party finally went up to try to pay for the check. In hindsight, a tip was not warranted for the lack of service. Overall, Yelp grossly misled me on The Goose & Fern. This is not a spot I would stop by again to watch a sporting match. If you're in this part of Santa Rosa, do yourself a favor and head over to Dave and Busters down the street where they have a bunch of massive screens, tons of beer options, and service that will far surpass what you're getting here.
