LOVE LOVE LOVE! I get their Thai tea each time and it never disappoints! [[HIGHLIGHT]]There is a lot of seating which is a big plus.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I walk here from our hotel so the parking doenst concern me, but it's something to consider if you'll be driving here as it might be a challenge to find a spot. I cannot say enough about our experience at this cafe over the weekend. We came to the area for the bagel shop down the way and happened into Brown Cup by chance because we parked close by. We ordered lattes to go and ended up spending a bit of time in the cafe because of its comfy cozy welcoming atmosphere. We ordered with the owners, Roger and his wife, who are beyond lovely. The kind of people you'd just love to know! Regulars came in and you could absolutely tell how much they love sharing their joy of the cafe with their community and how invested they are in the people who come in. If you're looking for a place to study- this is definitely one of them! This place provides a perfect environment to actually get things done. Music level is low, a good amount of table space, and coffee is pretty good. I was able to enjoy an iced white chocolate mocha w oatmilk and I was not disappointed! Cute little deli/coffee shop we found while exploring downtown. The vibe is unique as all the seating is older couches, chairs or wooden dining sets they have art and plants! We grabbed a smoothie and boba tea it was a little pricey but nowadays what coffee shop isn't... The coconut tea was delicious if you like coconut!! The menu for food seemed average priced, definitely check it out for yourselves. It's been 4+ years (too long) since I enjoyed the fare @ Brown Cup Cafe! Perfect meet up place for a long awaited chat, with a 2005 SDSU classmate, who moved from Oside & was visiting Family & Friends here. Bonus glee was seeing & saying Hello to Roger, who, again, made me the Perfect Chai Latte & I'm a stickler about my teas. This place feels like Home & I wish I lived closer! Best coffee shop in the neighborhood. There's a relaxing vibe with comfy chairs. Great place to study, work, read, or catch up with friends. The coffee is great and so are the smoothies. Best value for avocado toast in town. Sometimes they've got specials like curry chicken pastries or chicken and garlic rice - always yummy and excellent prices. Roger and Vilai are the quintessential mom and pop owners - they're warm, sweet, and just so kind. Love them! I've been frequenting here for years and will do so for as long as it exists! read more

It's not terrible. We had the Snickerdoodle Latte and Banana Nut Mocha. Both had a smooth coffee flavor and they accommodated my request for white mocha instead of dark mocha. Is it a must when visiting the area? No. There's nothing special about it. read more

I came here for the first time recently and had a nice experience. The staff member who took my order wasn't the most friendly but did recommend the banana nut latte over the snickerdoodle latte and he was on point! The banana nut latte was sooo yummy! I also got a chocolate chip cookie which was also good. There is a good amount of indoor seating and the shop appeared clean. There were people working on their laptops and a couple of girls chatting. The ambiance was calm aside from the girls being kind of loud. I would definitely return for that latte again! read more

This place is a gem! We stopped on our way to Rosarito. The breakfast sandwhiches were great and the specalites coffees we amazing. I ordered the Amarreti Cream Latte. It was the perfect combination of amaretto, almond, and irish cream. The customer service was great! My husband ordered the vanilla honey cinnamon latte... it was creamy. The southwest breakfast sandwhich was on point. The avocado toast was the equally as good. I had to wait a little longer for my sandwich and i was given a cookie. Definitely coming back! read more

The Brown Cup Cafe & Lounge has been one our favorite go-to cafés in Oceanside for the past year. Ever since we discovered this quaint gem of a lounge, my fiancée and I tend to gravitate here almost every morning. Located right on the 101, Brown Cup is run by a very friendly and humble staff. You're greeted as you enter and service is always attentive. Their menu may seem limited compared to other spots, but they specialize in their items and whether it's a pastry or beverage, they put plenty of love & care into each. They've got CBD teas, gluten-free pastries, plenty of coffee and some cold drinks as well. The decor is very new-age, Indonesian-inspired and has plenty of space for the solo patron or small groups who just want to relax and socialize. From the couches up front, to the work benches in the back, there's ample room to sit down and do work from your laptop in a quiet environment. It's always clean inside and the atmosphere is very peaceful and I highly recommend coming here to do work. read more

My husband and I stopped at Brown Cup Cafe looking to get some breakfast and coffee. When we entered there wasn't anyone but the lady in the cash register was very welcoming and sweet. The place has such a warm and friendly vibe that just convinced me to dine in. I ordered a cold brew with milk and coconut syrup (delicious!) and an oatmeal with seasonal fruit (extra $2) while my husband ordered a cold brew with milk and lavender syrup (also delicious!!). After 5 minutes of being here, suddenly more customers walked in. The sweet lady in the cash register greeted everyone while making drinks and taking orders. I do want to share that she was very dedicated that everything was presented well and that the order was properly made. Will be coming every time we visit San Diego! read more

Favorites of mine include the Spam Masubi with avocado, Avocado Toast topped with feta and fresh basil, Green Smoothie, Turkey Cheese Avocado, Southwest Sandwich, and Dirty Chai Latte. This is my second time coming to Brown Cup Cafe, the location is perfect and parking is available directly behind the Cafe. In both of my visits, the staff is very polite. My food was brought out to me, and the beverages and food that I ordered tasted great. Prior to this I had another Cafe that I frequently visited, however this by far tops that. In addition to everything else, the place looks very elegant, and it is very quiet for those who want to use it as a discreet place of study or to simply relax. I ordered a latte, which was decent, but if you're in a rush or don't have 30 minutes to spare for a single drink, this might not be the best choice. The staff was friendly, but wow, were they slow!
