Bruegger's Bagels's menu consists of bagels, breakfast sandwiches, lunch sandwiches, soups, desserts, and coffee. Bruegger's offers about 16 flavors of bagels (e.g., onion, pumpernickel, and jalapeno cheddar) and about 11 flavors of cream cheese (e.g., bacon scallion, honey walnut, and smoked salmon). My husband went inside the restaurant to order breakfast for us. He knows that I enjoy fruity breakfasts, so he selected the fruitiest bagel that he saw--blueberry with strawberry cream cheese--and an orange juice. For himself, he ordered a cinnamon raisin bagel with plain cream cheese as well as an egg/cheese/bacon sandwich. The food and beverage were fresh and tasted good, but I might prefer to try a different flavor of bagel next time. The cost was about $3 per bagel and about $5 for the sandwich, so prices were OK. The receipt listed a URL for a survey, so I can receive three free bagels during my next visit. My husband said that the employees were polite, and the employees quickly and accurately processed my husband's order and payment.

Too crowded during the days of the plague Line of at least 10 Social distancing not enforced It's not worth the wait for just ok bagels Sorry They do have a sign about their app maybe that works better if your order is ready

Smoked Salmon on wheat Everything bagel

Bruegger's is fine, not a bad spot. People are attentive, place is clean. Food is warm, coffee is hot, bagels are bagels. Sriracha Honey Sunrise - no spice at all, very sweet. The cream cheese is good but it kind of mutes the taste of the eggs and bacon, if you can imagine. I didn't taste the sriracha; could have dialed that up a bit, even for someone like me that can't handle much spice. Smoked Salmon (on a wheat everything bagel) - My husband described it as "pretty okay"; whatever that means. :)

I was there last week for a dozen bagels. The woman behind the counter was very nice and friendly and helpful as well. the prices where ok and the bagels where good as well. I can not say they are the best I have ever had, But they are some of the best in the area. I would definitely go back to Bruegger's again int eh future

Here is the cold "sandwich" that was made in the end in less than 60 seconds. The 3 capers in there really stand out!

Unfortunately- it's now day 4 after the incident that I reported on the Bruegger's bagels website before even writing this review and have not been contacted back at all- although it seems they have a specialized person to reply to yelp reviews...instead of actually resolving customer concerns. --- Food- usually good when people who work there like you Service: below satisfactory - usually won't try to rectify errors they make. When they say toasted it could mean anything from burned to not really toasted, merely warmed previous staff were really friendly. Current staff, incredibly hostile and seem to be triggered by errors the app keeps making which it charges customers for orders, the order doesn't show up on their screen, the customer has proof that money was taken from their credit card/bank account, and comes in frustrated as to why they should leave without a sandwich expecting their charge to "fall off in the next couple of days" After the manager "Sharon" and another worker "Deborah" mentioned that this is a recurring issue and they can't do anything about it and there was "a big fight with a man about it yesterday," the manager finally said she can make me the sandwich and yelled "but clearly your phone isn't working" ...to which I was shocked because the whole issue was with them admitting this has been an on going problem with the app that has not been reported yet. You can imagine after the manager returned angrily within 60 seconds with a cold sandwich wrapped in a crunched up paper, I had to inspect it and couldn't trust to eat it, so in the end I left the "sandwich" and my money. The level of hostility I experienced today for this issue has been unmatched. The manager kept yelling and the person at the register (Deborah) kept budding in and complaining about me to other customers in line. There was a eve of clear discrimination and verbal harassment in burgers bagels today that I rarely experience outside.

The Speckled Egg provided the upscale and elevated breakfast, that was a nice contrast to the rustic and local breakfast we had the next day. Our waitress was friendly and professional. After some deliberation, I went with a bowl that included eggs, chicken sausage, sweet potatoes and a nice garnish of dill. The dill surprisingly elevated the whole dish. My wife enjoyed an omelette. Coffee was also quite good! Nice start to a day of sightseeing! (The restaurant staff gave great advice about the nearby tourist attractions)

He was courteous, well spoken and friendly. We sat there for about 10-12 minutes. No one approached the table. We looked over to what appeared to be a bar area and we saw two servers standing there talking and showing each other their phones. My wife said, "With our luck, one of those two is our server." Sure enough, when they were finally done talking, one came over to our table....no smile and a big audible sigh. She asked what we wanted to drink, we gave our order and she returned with our beverages. After another 10 minute wait she came back to take our order. When asked about a certain dish, came another big sigh, eye roll and and a rote description of said dish. The food arrived and one of the orders was wrong. Another wait to get her attention. We asked for the item to be redone as we had ordered it. And she even asked how we wanted it! You got it...another eye roll and a big sigh. At least she was well oxygenated! The dish came back with the very same results. On that issue we gave up. Then came the wait for the check. Once again the two servers were chatting, no heads turned to check on their tables. My son went over to get the check. When the check arrived, it was attitude city. She accused us of picking on her because she was only a server. It's obviously how she saw herself. We then asked for the manager who was quick to side with the server. She said that nothing seemed to satisfy us and that we had a problem. IN SHARP CONTRAST. I have been to the Speckled Egg on the South Side many times. From the Host/Hostess to the servers to the bus staff, everyone had a smile, chatted with their customers, laughed and it was always a great experience. The manager came over since he recognized me from being there many times and we chatted for a minute. We are talking Night and Day. Completely two different experiences from server to management styles. To me there is only one Speckled Egg and one complete waste of time (Downtown).

The cool vibe restaurant is tucked away up a short flight of stairs on Filbert Street. It gives the place a cozy, hideaway feel with brick walls and murals. She appeared overwhelmed by her role and was not warm. We were actually told by the waiters that "she is serious about her list". Which would be great if she managed it effectively. When I brought concerns that we had been pushed down the list 3 times for other parties. She responded "well, how do you know that" to which I responded "we watched you take their names down after ours and sit them before us".
