This place might actually be a social experiment disguised as a bagel shop. It is, without question, one of the most dysfunctional establishments I've ever visited. Let's start with the woman taking orders -- easily one of the rudest humans I've ever encountered in the hospitality industry (and that's saying something). The consistency is almost admirable, though. No matter when you come, she'll deliver a reliably bad attitude to everyone in line. Truly a masterclass in customer disservice. The operation itself? Absolute chaos. There's no system, no rhythm, no sense of order -- just pure bagel bedlam. Incorrect orders are basically part of the experience at this point. And for reasons known only to the universe, they also try to handle online orders simultaneously. The same rude front-counter woman is in charge of both in-person and pickup orders, meaning there can be five-minute gaps where she disappears mid-service to deal with the digital chaos. Efficiency? Never heard of her. Oh, and let's not forget the older woman who seems to be the manager or owner. Whenever she's around, the service somehow gets worse -- which I honestly didn't think was possible. It's almost impressive, in a "how low can you go" kind of way. Here's the thing: a bagel shop shouldn't be complicated. Slice the bagel, slap on some schmear, hand it over. Easy. Yet somehow, this place turns it into a full-scale production of Les Misérables, starring me as the perpetually disappointed customer. And despite all this, here I am -- again. Maybe it's the only bagel place nearby. Maybe I secretly enjoy the chaos. Or maybe I just love to suffer. My husband and I love the cinnamon sugar bagels & have been ordering them off & on throughout the 12 years we've been together. Every time we order them we get them toasted with cream cheese & they taste like onion 90% of the time. Each time we say, "Why do we keep trying?" Then we try again, thinking maybe this time it won't be contaminated. Sure enough, it is. The latest thought is maybe we get the bagels & buy a tub of cream cheese but that's frustrating because I don't want to buy two different tubs for the two bagels we buy every other month. I was in the area, after having a medical appointment nearby. I was a bit peckish, and my mission was to acquire a Half Bagel Bundle with Jalapeño Cream Cheese. Mission accomplished . . . I ordered two of each of my fave bagels, Pumpernickel, Sesame, and Poppyseed. We had them sliced in-house, and I ate one half Pump. and one half Poppy, after spreading the Jalapeño Cream Cheese on them with a plastic knife available from the shop. YUM. The seating area usually has unwiped tables and the coffee and tea counter is usually messy and needs coffee. Place is hit or miss. The skinny blonde lady that looks like she used to smoke meth will make sandwiches really bad. I ordered a double stack from the nice older lady with the dark hair and glasses and it was great. I ordered the double stack two days later and the blonde lady made it sooooo bad with dried out eggs and floppy bacon and no sauce. I also ordered a smoked salmon and she put about a tablespoon of cream cheese on it. If you see her making sandwiches I'd recommend going to another spot. For himself, he ordered a cinnamon raisin bagel with plain cream cheese as well as an egg/cheese/bacon sandwich. The food and beverage were fresh and tasted good, but I might prefer to try a different flavor of bagel next time. The cost was about $3 per bagel and about $5 for the sandwich, so prices were OK. The receipt listed a URL for a survey, so I can receive three free bagels during my next visit. Great assortment of bagels and bagel sandwiches. My wife and I split the Farmhouse breakfast sandwich and the Smokehouse Brisket breakfast sandwich. Very impressed with the food. The service was a bit lacking. There is still no inside seating, and the staff seems to go out of their way to make the ordering process as complicated and unfriendly as possible. I've been here a couple times and it has been this way each time. No one is overtly rude, but it's just an unwelcoming environment. Bruegger's is fine, not a bad spot. People are attentive, place is clean. Food is warm, coffee is hot, bagels are bagels. Sriracha Honey Sunrise - no spice at all, very sweet. The cream cheese is good but it kind of mutes the taste of the eggs and bacon, if you can imagine. I didn't taste the sriracha; could have dialed that up a bit, even for someone like me that can't handle much spice. Unfortunately- it's now day 4 after the incident that I reported on the Bruegger's bagels website before even writing this review and have not been contacted back at all- although it seems they have a specialized person to reply to yelp reviews...instead of actually resolving customer concerns. --- Food- usually good when people who work there like you Service: below satisfactory - usually won't try to rectify errors they make. When they say toasted it could mean anything from burned to not really toasted, merely warmed previous staff were really friendly. Current staff, incredibly hostile and seem to be triggered by errors the app keeps making which it charges customers for orders, the order doesn't show up on their screen, the customer has proof that money was taken from their credit card/bank account, and comes in frustrated as to why they should leave without a sandwich expecting their charge to "fall off in the next couple of days" After the manager "Sharon" and another worker "Deborah" mentioned that this is a recurring issue and they can't do anything about it and there was "a big fight with a man about it yesterday," the manager finally said she can make me the sandwich and yelled "but clearly your phone isn't working" ...to which I was shocked because the whole issue was with them admitting this has been an on going problem with the app that has not been reported yet. You can imagine after the manager returned angrily within 60 seconds with a cold sandwich wrapped in a crunched up paper, I had to inspect it and couldn't trust to eat it, so in the end I left the "sandwich" and my money. The level of hostility I experienced today for this issue has been unmatched. The manager kept yelling and the person at the register (Deborah) kept budding in and complaining about me to other customers in line. I absolutely love brueggers and have never had an issue with them. However, I have heard bad things about this location, seen customers disappointed with their order being wrong, but I didn't know I needed to be over someone's shoulder and holding their hand while they made my sandwich. I have been working long days at the hospital, I'm exhausted, and I woke up this morning wanting something warm that would get my day going. I ordered a build my own EGG sandwich. Simple: sesame bagel, egg, cream cheese, tomato, cucumber, lettuce, avocado. Well I got to work an hour later and my morning is ruined. 1. There is no egg on my egg sandwich, how odd 2. There is hardly any cream cheese just a little on ONE side 3. My tomatoes were put on the top sesame side, against the bread, so it is all soggy. All the other veggies were also put on this side. So there goes my sesame top. 4. I asked for it double toasted and it's not it's just chewy and hard. This was supposed to be my breakfast and lunch. A big sandwich. I've been to many Bruegger's but this ... Hmmm... The bagel was tasty. I got an everything bagel toasted with jalapeño cream cheese. It was toasted to my liking and the cream cheese was spread with a perfect amount to my liking. Let's get to this iced coffee... I feel it's a bit strange because their regular coffee is, sublime. Their iced coffee is so bitter and after adding 8ounces of half and half (that's a bit extreme) I still was unable to drink it. My boyfriend threw his out immediately and he isn't one to waste anything. He ordered a medium iced coffee, added sugar and cream and said, "this is the worst coffee I've ever had". This is solely based off of the service that I just received. I have been to this location before and the staff is generally very friendly. Today I walked into around 10:30 to grab a quick sandwich to go. I asked the blonde behind the counter if they were serving lunch yet, she replied that they have both breakfast and lunch. I asked for the crispy chicken sandwich as I had noticed it advertised in the front entrance when I walked in. As I was waiting I noticed her grabbing an egg. That was then I realized that there were two versions - a breakfast AND lunch. I cannot stand egg, so I quickly went up to her and explained (and apologized) that I meant that lunch version not realizing that there was also a breakfast version. In response she told me in a blunt tone "it's usually a breakfast sandwich at this time". I was stunned at her reply considering the conversation that we had JUST had when I arrived. I was tempted to walk out and leave as I had lost my appetite. At this point, there were a few other customers who had walked in after me. I didn't want to create a huge scene. I don't care if I am at McDonalds, Bruegger's, or Capital Grille, every customer/everyone deserves respect. The food and coffee is good. When you're trying to get some food for lunch or on your way to work, it would be nice to sit inside and eat (if you find want to wreck your car trying to eat a bagel while driving). They don't allow indoor seating even though nobody is wearing masks. It's can't be pandemic related and they had quite a few employees inside. I asked the lady who kicked me out, "why?" But maybe she didn't hear me because I didn't get an answer. It was a nice day so I did sit outside, but I will remember that you can't sit down inside and enjoy the coffee and food you just ordered. Bagels were actually pretty good! I eat here a decent amount. After craving a bagel all day I was finally able to place my order! I decided on having two bagel sandwiches and at the last minute I added two of their TWICE BAKED hashbrowns. and honey, these hashbrowns looked AWFUL, and looked absolutely nothing like the picture. First of all they were loosely wrapped in wax paper. I was so confused when I pulled them out of the bag because they looked like garbage or scraps. When I opened the paper the actual "hashbrowns" looked uncooked, and like they had been squeezed by someone's hands. They were so misshaped, cold and didn't look safe to eat at all! They didn't looked baked once or twice. Seriously, save your money. Not worth it! You'll pay $5 for 2 hashbrowns that look like they're for a raccoon on trash day. Bruegger' Bagels is okay. It's pretty much what you would expect in terms of a chain bagel shop. They offer several breakfast and lunch sandwiches along with an array of bagels and spreads. This location is very tight and cramped with a line out the door on a Saturday morning although it moved rather quickly. The staff seemed a bit overwhelmed and irritable with each other fighting for space at the counter. I ordered the smoked salmon breakfast sandwich at $6.99. Again, it was okay. Nothing amazing. It was thrown together rather rushed and the end product looked the part. I essentially had to rebuild it before attempting to eat it. But it tasted fine. I wish it had been toasted but I wasn't even asked. Just pushed down the line to pay. I even had to grab my own bag because they assumed I was eating in I guess. They never asked. I want to thank and acknowledge the Assistant Manager, Maevyn, and her staff at Bruegger's Bagels at the McKnight-Seibert Shopping Mall location! On Friday, May 5th I had a large order of Bagels to be picked up at 6:30 a.m. At 6:15 all the power went out to whole mall area, including Bruegger's. Maevyn and her team called every customer who pre-ordered to inform us the power was out but our orders were filled and we could indeed pick them up! The staff was courteous and kind. I ordered the new Sweet Georgia Turkey it was good. The service however was sub par. Tyrell was mopping the floor when I came in. He was salty that I walked on his clean floor and then had to make my food. He didn't smile or show any sign of cheer. I went there today and ordered a pastrami on rye with coleslaw. When I reached home to eat my sandwich it was mushy so looked between the bread to find only two slices of pastrami versus a whole wad of coleslaw. I took out meat and ate it.
