I usually hit up Brunches after a weekend run. I grab take out for my family so I can't really speak to the dine in service. I will say that ordering take out is a breeze. You can order online and the food is the same quality as if you were to order at the restaurant. My son usually gets the All-American and it will feed him for two days. My husband likes the Chicken Biscuit Supreme. I can attest that it's supremely delicious! Their sausage gravy is on point and the juxtaposition of sweet and savory is really nice. Pick up is always super easy and the front of house staff are always helpful. I appreciate the fact that they ask before providing silverware too. read more

She opted for the BY The Sea Omelette shrimp, crabmeat and bacon with Swiss cheese and I went with the All American, pancakes(Cinna/bun) bacon and scrambled egg and home fries our server came with such a smile bringing ice cold water first then took our drink orders she had such a warm and helpful personality made us feel so comfy. When my masked waitress brought me the coffee and creamer, I ordered the "Bronx bomber" as an omelet and it took about ten minutes. What arrived was a super over-stuffed omelet with sausage, bacon, ham, cheese and a side of home fries. Yes, they're serving it with packets of ketchup because COVID and that's okay. Yum yum. If you are looking for a relaxing brunch with bomb mimosas- I can't recommend Brunches enough. We sat outside where there was a cool breeze, the staff is amazing. We had mimosas, Crab Cake Benedict and the All American The pancakes are light and fluffy on the inside with a crispness on the outside that can only be given by the kiss of a flat top grill. The crab cakes are impeccable and could be eaten by themselves but then you'd miss out on these beautiful poached eggs and hollandaise sauce. Visiting from out of town...I look on Yelp for all the great places to eat and stumble upon this place. Looked up the menu and found several items I thought I would enjoy. Peach Mimosa. Yum. Simple. Delightful. Garden omelette with added sausage. Yum. This was the best I've had. The sausage was delicious. The omelette was not thick and full of just eggs. There were peppers, onions, mushroom, spinach, tomatoes, and a dollop of guacamole on top. I wished there was more guacamole. Everything was so fresh. Avocado toast. Yum. This is a great spot if the highlight of your meal is the alcohol. Food was ok. Service was poor. Waitress was friendly but spent more time socializing with the party crowd than tending to us. We requested sweetener for our coffee that never came. After fending for ourselves twice ( for sweetener and extra napkins) we felt quite neglected. Wow, this place was packed!! A friend of mine had recommended it to me, so four of us had lunch yesterday. We arrived about 11:30am and figured the wait would be very long. We put our names on the list and was told "25 minutes." We only waited about 20 minutes and got a table inside. It's a very noisy place, which made it difficult to talk to our friends. Had it not been a hot day we would have asked to sit outside. I really liked the menu - lots of good choices. I ordered the buritto bowl that came with chicken, black beans, rice, slices of avocado, lettuce, diced tomatoes, and grilled onions. The chicken, which was grilled, had some awesome flavors, but it was a little on the dry side. Later in the day, I felt so bloated from the rice beans - and I didn't eat all of it. DH had the tuna wrap, which looked beautiful. He enjoyed it. If I were to order it, I would ask it to be cut in half, rather than the way it's served - cut into six sections. He stated there was too much rice for the meal. Rice in the wrap, and the sections on top of rice. Maybe an Asian salad would be better. One friend ordered a burger and the other had a breakfast bowl (I don't which ones they ordered). They both enjoyed their food, although my friend's bowl had a ton of potatoes. We owned an RV and were traveling through the east coast when we stopped here. We didn't know anyone, but the server was super welcoming and warm hearted, same with the staff. Brunches just opened this week and is located in Mayfaire Community Center across Five guys, next to Mattress Firm. It used to be the Italian restaurant Positalia. We had no issues parking in the parking lot. It was busy at 9:30am but there was still some room for us indoors and plenty of seating outdoors. Outdoor seating area has a heater and they allow service dogs and small dogs outdoors. Some of the indoor tables require sharing with other people.  The decor was a nice modern farm-style. There were pretty flower arrangements inside. They have a cool concept of a circular laminated card with one side of the waiter's name and the other side that says "help is on the way". You place the card on their card holder stand if you need the waiter/waitress. In the napkin-wrapped utensils on the table, there was no spoon, only a fork and knife. This was not a big deal to us, but may be to others. We had a waitress take our order and a waiter help us with the rest of our meal. The menu has a variety of options, from salads, usual breakfast options, avocado toast, tacos, burritos, nachos, burgers, crab cakes, meat sandwiches, spaghetti and meatballs, shrimp and grits, and chicken and waffles. Omelettes can be made into burritos (eggs are scrambled) or breakfast bowls (over eggs). There were specials during our visit: breakfast tacos for $6 and grilled cheese and tomato soup for $8. Beverage options include juices, soda, iced and hot teas, Shirley Temple, beer, wine, mimosas, and cocktails (bloody Mary, twisted expresso, Irish coffee, Irish breakfast shot, tequila sunrise). Partner ordered the All-American ($7), which comes with a pancake, bacon, sausage, one egg, and a choice of either grits or home fries. The sausage and home fries were basic tasting, nothing special. He substituted a french toast for the pancake ($2 extra) and added cheese to the eggs ($1 extra). He requested his eggs to be cooked medium but the whites and yolk arrived runny. Our waiter, Brett brought him a newly cooked egg, which was better than the first one, but still a little bit undercooked. He forgot the cheese, so he brought him a third one with cheese. I ordered the Tres Leche french toast ($8) and Hippie Hash ($9). The Tres Leche french toast was essentially large french toast slices topped with a caramel glaze, fresh strawberries, and a light dusting of powdered sugar. It was good and I would order this again. Hippie Hash is cauliflower rice (tiny chopped cauliflower pieces) with 2 eggs, roasted red bell pepper slices, cooked quartered mushrooms, fresh spinach. The waitress didn't ask me how I wanted my eggs cooked and I forgot to tell her so the 2 eggs arrived poached. The dish was flavored with dried rosemary and a hint of spiciness. It tasted good with the fresh cilantro lime guacamole. The prices are low, most of the food is less than $10. One dish may not be filling enough, just satisfying. So you may need to order a second dish to share with others to make the meal more filling. Customer service overall was great. We appreciated the staff's efforts to make us happy customers. I love the Brunches on Randall but hadn't tried this location yet. We were able to sit outside on the covered patio because they have those tarps that keep the heat in and had heaters going. Our server was great. Super personable and funny especially when we fought over the bill. I can't recommend the chicken biscuit enough. That sausage gravy was amazing. Also...get the holiday flight. We ordered , Pear and Gorgonzola Salad - romaine, spring mix, pears , gorgonzola and candied nuts. I ordered it without the cheese , and added grilled shrimp and dressing - lemon vinaigrette on the side. And Shrimp and Grits. We waited a short time and lunch appeared. The salad looked good, so did the shrimp and grits. As I dug into my salad , I noticed many pieces of very tired to un edible pieces of spring mix in it. The drinks...are wayyyyy over-priced...gotta remember we are in Wilmington, NC not Miami. And while the mimosas are solid, the cocktails are a little light on the alcohol...but they don't taste bad and again they have a good selection. I've only been there once, so really any random variable on a second try could bump it up to 4. It would take a disaster to knock it down to a 2. I rarely leave reviews but this place is highly overrated on Yelp. I orders the All-American breakfast and it was pathetic. It looked just like the big breakfast at McDonalds but not as good. Small pancakes that were unpleasantly pasty, runny grits, wet eggs. My husband got the Western omelet and it looked like it had been made with one egg. Way overstuffed with filling. He got an English muffin with it and they didn't give him anything to put on it--no butter or jam. They also didn't have an espresso machine--for a place called brunches you'd think they would have interesting coffee choices. Wildly disappointed in the food here. My breakfast was free, the day after Mother's Day! I always get the Hippie Hash, without an egg, because I eat vegan. They give me extra hash, instead. Sometimes it is too salty, so I omit that. Service is quick, though somewhat inexperienced. They have tent-covered outdoor dining, but I haven't experienced it. Indoors, there is a bar area, & a dining room. Waking up with a mimosa every day from Brunches would definitely make me more of a morning person. The glass is a wonderful size and a steal (only $8!). The champagne comes through enough where the juice flavor is a lovely natural hint. They also have mimosa flights, and "loaded mimosas" that come with pairing vodka shots! I cannot wait to try those. The whipped cream added the perfect level of sweetness for the cold brew, and the coffee was so smooth! The presentation is also adorable. The chicken and waffles are a classic done right. The perfect sweet and salty combo. I only had a few bites but I know what I am ordering next time! The pancakes are a classic to me and something I always get. They're light and fluffy, and no matter what flavor I get they're always something I finish. Went to Brunches with my daughters when visiting Wilmington, NC at the recommendation of a local resident. It was so good, that we returned before heading back to the airport! Everything we ordered was tasty, fresh, and came in big portions. The waitresses / staff were always very friendly and gave the place a happy vibe. The shrimp tacos were great (no tails... long story - lol), the burgers and fries - delish and the grits (for breakfast) were yummy - creamy and cheesy! We shared the mimosa flight and loved it, especially the peach-flavored one. The avocado toast was also REALLY good!
