If I could give lower than one star rating this would justify my visit here at Brundavan. Attended a birthday party and it was truly a nightmare. There was 1 person attending to a catering event for 60 guest. Let's start with what went wrong. First appetizers and dinner were both laid out together. When I asked they said this is how they do it on catering events and don't have enough people as they were overbooked with other events. The layout of food was hilarious had to ask them to rearrange where started with curries and rice and salad were the last thing you could get. Once items would run out you had to ask them every time to refill and they ran out of rice. A true nightmare for any host with a line of guest waiting for food. If this was not enough ran out of cutleries and they provided with plastic spoons.Unbelievable what an embarrassment. I just wished the night ended as soon as possible. What kind of business are we running here. Let's talk about Desserts omg. Desserts bowls ran out after 20 laid out bowls were done. Come on Brundavan step up you game. At least be average. There was not even a water jar or cups provided at the table. I just feel bad for the host. They are innocent soft kind hearted folks who couldn't handle the aggressive and loud mouthed Raghu who kept on blaming the owners and not taking ownership as the manager there. He just kept saying the owners overbooked and they couldn't handle the work load. Greed is evil especially if your ruining other people's life event. As a yelper for last 15 years I don't think any business can out do what I experienced. Guys save yourself the hassle and stress of dealing with what we did and please take your business somewhere else. DO NOT BOOK HERE!!!! If they can't handle a birthday event do not risk other major life milestone celebrations here. Pic of samosa appetizer they served included.

We tried this for the first time this weekend via ubereats delivery and it was super convenient to order. The menu had lots of veg and non veg options and some of the dishes looked really interesting so we decided to try it. In $51 (before tax and delivery) we got: - apollo fish 5/5 huge portion, aptly packaged, medium spicy and such a kick to it. I couldnt stop myself from over eating this. Loved it! The fish quality was good and it melted in our mouths. - peshawari chicken tikka 5/5 delectable and delicious juicy chicken pieces which are perfect appetizers. Comes with yummy green sauce chutney which was thick and huge quantity too. - chicken tikka masala 3.5/5 the gravy was delicious sohalf the battle was won here. i was hoping the chicken pieces will be similar to chicken tikka app but nope! These pieces were probably fried or baked differently and were much harder to chew. Lots of gravy so that was good. Decent medium spicy and clean ingredients. Will try dining in next time to try more items.

First time trying this Indian restaurant. We've been wondering about is since the restaurants before this were dissatisfied so we're ready to feel the same. We were surprised. Our foods: chole, butter chicken, and lamb dumplings biryani. The food is delicious and a spicy. We don't know that they have lunch buffet, so we'll be back for the buffet. The staff are accommodating. Te ambiance is very casual and clean. Plenty of parking space. If you haven't tried it, you should check it out! Let's support good local businesses!

I say about three and half stars. Food is decent I did enjoy their samosas and they are pretty big its like three for 7 or 8 bucks. Not too bad. Just to let you know they only have veggie samosas. (TBH when it comes to samosas veggie is always better anyways). I did wish the garlic Naan was more garlicy. It tasted like a normal Naan to me. The butter chicken was decent, but the chickens texture was interesting, didn't know how to exactly describe it. But overall not too bad of experience here. First time I've seen butter chicken being served in a cup like bowl so that's kind of unique.

Worker making your food coughing without face mask... What a shame, would of took a pic of the food ordered but just threw it away. This place has or had potential but who ever owns this place doesn't care or manages it. I ordered food a guys brought me someone else's order twice. This place doesn't really get any business and now I know why. What a shame :( read more

Came here for lunch with my hot Bae. Looking fine in his work suit. Lol. He came here once by himself, new to the area. Today we had the vegetable curry and the butter chicken tikka masala. To pair them off, 2 garlic naan and 1 plain. He was hangry!!! Lol. Something about how they delivered the curry in itself, the way it was curated and all. I give them four thumbs up because it was that savory. The naan isn't too doughy or thick, pretty thin like a roti bread. It was all so tasty and I love Indian food. I'm gonna have me the leftovers tonight. read more

A relatively new restaurant which has just started indoor dining. The service is good and the food is authentic Hyderabadi cuisine. I do wish portion sizes could be a little more given prices. But given rising costs, understand the constraints. Recommend the following items: Mutton lagan gosht: A rich gravy with some unique spices and blended almonds for creaminess. Not too spicy. The mutton is soft although they used a lot of meat attached to bone (which is considered a good part). Pathar ke kebab: Goat kebabs where the meat is pounded, spiced and grilled. A bit chewy in texture but really delicious with the onions, lemon juice and green chutney. Fire naan: Dough has been mixed with some chillies but is only mildly spicy. Rubbed with a bit of ghee/butter. Garlic naan: dough has been mixed with garlic and chillies and rubbed with butter. Double ka meetha: a Hyderabadi variant of the North Indian shahi tukda. The bread was dissolved into a concoction of sugar, cream and dry fruits. A bit too sweet for my liking but can try once. The food was delicious overall and the meat is halal. A worthwhile dining experience. read more

We ordered chicken dum briyani and chicken 65 for to go order. Restaurant ambiance and location is good. About food not up to the expected level. Food appearance is good and mouthwatering. But somewhere taste is missing and it had aroma smell and spicy level also ok. Briyani quantity is also less compared to other near restaurants. Chicken 65 is more color and taste is missing. For making to appear good they apply more food color. But restaurant can concentrate on taste in food rather then appearance. Quantity 3.5/5 Quality 4/5 Taste 3/5 Descent food., If you are worried about food color then better to avoid. Bcz color left on hands after washing with hand wash too. Had the samosas and Hyderabad Sharbat which were amazing! Loved the addition of chat masala to the samosas. The paneer biryani was decent. A word on one of the servers who was being a total show off and rambling along about his professional achievements and personal riches which I never even asked about. read more

I went here for the first time today. Santa Clara branch. on Kiely and El camino. It was delicious. I am a very strict grader. Every item was A quality. Consistency is KEY so i will update if anything changes !! I had samosa, fish fry (full pomfret fry), boneless chicken biriyani, lime soda, chai tea. Samosa --- filling was scrumptious. the potatoes and peas were cooked thoroughly and had great flavor. biriyani - Good. Ordered through Ubereats. I would have given this place 3.5 stars, but they gave me the wrong item. That was totally unacceptable, and after a long day of travelling, quite upsetting too. The prices were not cheap either, so the mistake was even more apalling. Mutton Lagan Gosht: 4/5. Very tasty, but there were too few pieces of the mutton for the price. Onion Kulcha: 3/5. The taste was okay, but the stuffing was a bit undercooked. Garlic Naan: 4/5. Quite good, but there were room for improvements. Biryani: 1/5. THIS IS THE ORDER THEY MESSED UP. I ordered mutton dum biryani. Instead, they sent boneless chicken biryani. The biryani that they did send was also not great either. The chicken pieces were dry, and the rice was overall flavorless. I might give this place another shot, but probably not in the near future. read more

I got to Star Udupi for a dose of dosa all the time and have been eying Brundavan, which is a relatively recent entrant, for a while. Finally made a stop yesterday and picked up hara bara kebab, gobi manchurian, and paneer kebab. They were very good but whoah... super spicy though we asked for mild. read more

Saturday night, 10:30pm, wife and I got the munchies! Normally we do our "go to" Jack in the Crack... then we realized, "we 40!!" So we stepped up our game quite a bit, looked on yelp, and saw this gem, opened, down the street!! I posted a pic of our order. We're not Indian food connoisseurs, but the flavors were all wonderful. This picture was of our order - Paneer Butter Masala was delicious!! The Methi Malai Mutter Saag offered a nice break from the spice of the Hyderabad chicken - they all complemented themselves very well. All the bread choices were excellent as well. Lastly, the quantity for the price is appropriate to "inexpensive" (in relation to other restaurants/quicker bites in the area). I'd definitely come back again! read more

Went to this place today for lunch with my family for the very first time to celebrate my better half's birthday. Liked the ambience and we settled down to eat. Us being vegetarians, the buffet menu seemed a bit limited but the food quality was good if not great. We were enjoying our meal when my wife suddenly found a fairly large peice of what looked like mutton bone in her "CHHOLE" (chickpeas) dish and she almost barfed at the sight. I am not squeamish and I realize that these things can happen in any eatery but what was really disappointing was the attitude of one of the manager who just did not seem to give a damn about what transpired. He offered a lame apology and blamed the customers that they sometime use the same spoon/ladle from different sections. He just kept digging the dish to see if he could find something there and did not even care to replace the contents or just remove it completely. We were unable to continue our meal and I even took a picture as I decided I wasn't going to let it slide. Never going back there for sure! read more

We really like the food here. Methi malai mutter saag is my favorite, rich flavor green curry with peas! Chicken Dum Biryani has a really good presentation. Colorful and tasty. Chicken is well done and tender. Garlic naan is a must order too! Wish they could put descriptions of the entrees on the menu. So we would know what we are getting. Service could be improved. Tried for the first time and food was awesome. Hara bhara Kabab - great, soft, little spicy. Tasted very fresh, didn't expect it is gonna be so good. Channa Bhindi - never heard of channa and bhindi combo but flavor was amazing. Bit oily but great taste. Chicken tikka masala - good flavor, not sweet nor spicy. Chicken pieces were less compared to curry but overall good. Garlic naan - nice thin naan with good garlic flavor. Tasted good in dine in, might get hard if to go. Tandoori Roti - Nice flavor. Worst food ever. We picked up goat shukha, chilli paneer, Apollo fish fry, egg and chicken biriyani. Other than the biriyani's which was ok, everything else was a night mare. We had to throw away the food. Chilli panner is so sour not sure why they give the name and make some random food soaked in lemon. Goat was smelly we could not have one piece. Apollo fish i cant even explain how horrible it was. Peacock was such a good place and they replaced with such a shitty place. More than wastage of money we were furious as we were extremely hungry, picked that place to have some spicy food alas to was a totally wrong choice. I am writing the review while not completing my super. read more

Have tried most of there dishes. Everything taste fine except the Biryanis here, portion of the biriyani is ok but the taste is bland . Biriyani -2/10 Curries - 8/10 Starters -9/10 Buffet - 7/10 Don't get Biryanis here. The guy at the front is always calm and welcoming! read more

Absolutely enjoyed the mutton biryani. Meat is very well done. I ordered spicy, it was perfect spice level for me. Both salan and raita that came with it very different and tasty. In addition to that we ordered Paneer Tikka Masala and Butter Naan. Naan was very soft. This place seemed like more geared towards takeouts with very few tables for dine-in. Solid food, good central location & parking available, take out nicely done. Service could use a bit of work, not very friendly but they do the job. Got the paneer biryani, butter chicken, and garlic naan for lunch with a mango lassi and total was $34 for lunch. Good portion for 2-3 people. Utensils available too. Would come again! read more

If I could give them 0 stars I would, Really unprofessional. Kamal is the owner and and Raghu is manager, but as someone else said they both have so much attitude. Raghu is a bit better, Their biryani was super spicy and sour and we couldnt eat even one spoon. I usually dont give any reviews and am very adjusting to anything goes wrong. Mistakes happen.. but attitudes dont. Really ungrateful people talking to customers like if they were not there we would go hungry. I wanted to let it go because I didnt want to spoil someones business. but they showed me so much attitude that I am forced to write such a review. I really feel because of such people Indians and their services get bad name. read more

We got the chicken tikka and garlic naan Pros -tikka sauce was the perfect level of spicy. wasn't too spicy that you couldn't taste anything else. But still good. Sauce was the best part. Loads of flavor - chicken was clay oven baked within the sauce which is nice to see cause that takes extra effort -naan was great. Clay baked correctly Con -didn't ask for spice level -chicken was a little overdone on some smaller pieces -chicken to sauce ratio was low. Left with lots of sauce left over -didn't come with rice but they never do at any restaurant read more

For a Saturday morning, the energy was calm -- a good sign for a small spot that could easily get overwhelmed. The waitress set the tone early. Warm, unhurried, she asked how we had heard about the place before taking the order -- the kind of question a restaurant only asks when it is still building its crowd and actually wants to know the answer. Filter coffee arrived without delay, hot, no shortcuts. The upma and mini tiffin combo followed. Portions were generous and the food arrived warm. But dish after dish played it safe right up to the edge of forgettable. The upma had correct texture with none of the assertiveness that makes a good upma worth finishing slowly. The sambar leaned thin. The chutneys were there, present and accounted for, doing the minimum. Everything assembled correctly, nothing bold enough to make you look up from the table. Meenakshi Bhavan gets enough right on a weekend morning to be worth knowing about -- clean space, genuinely warm service, honest portions. The waitress clearly takes pride in the hospitality side of things. The kitchen needs to match that energy with a firmer hand on the seasoning. Good enough for a familiar weekend breakfast. Not yet good enough to become a habit. The paintings on the walls that were Indian and Tamilnadu related was great, but the other art work seemed out of place, not sure what the thought process there was with the management. Things where this could improve: Coffee taste can improve (may be sourcing from a different coffee vendor may help, seemed like a standard Narassu's powder from a grocery shop near by that probably was at least a few months old) Chutneys need a certain kick and that was definitely missing. Cleanliness can be improved for sure.

First off, the delivery was a smooth process, dot on time and packaged with such precision. Ankush, who runs the show at Delhicacies came to do the honors and as well left detailed instruction on how to go about preparing one of the starter dishes that we had ordered (Bhalle Papdi chaat that is). The menu we chose included Bhalle Paapdi Chaat, Cocktail Samosas, Paneer Tikka Masala, Chana Masala, Baingan Bharta, accompanied by Roomali Roti and Lacchay Pyaaz as a side salad. The Bhalle Paapdi Chaat was an instant crowd-pleaser, with the perfect balance of crispy papdi, fresh bhalle, cool sweet yogurt, tangy tamarind along with green sauces, a secret masala powder and a garnish of beetroot , pomegranate and cilantro. All of these were packed separately and instructions were provided (step by step) to prepare the end result which tasted out of the world good. It was refreshing yet packed with flavors that kept everyone asking for seconds. The Cocktail Samosas were golden, crisp, and filled with a spiced potato mixture that made them an ideal finger food--perfectly bite-sized and not greasy at all. For the main course, the Paneer Tikka Masala (PTM) stole the show with its rich, velvety sauce that coated the tender paneer in just the right amount of spice. The flavors were balanced yet bold, making it a standout dish. The earthy flavor in the paneer made it finger licking good and definitely was the biggest hit of the evening. The Chana Masala had the perfect texture--soft chickpeas simmered in a well-spiced gravy that had just the right amount of heat and tang. Cubes of paneer in there definitely made it a good overall combination and complemented with the PTM. The smoky and flavorful Baingan Bharta added an earthy depth to the meal as well. The eggplant was roasted beautifully, bringing out its natural flavors, which paired wonderfully with the Romali Roti. The roti was soft, thin, and warm, making it the ideal vehicle to soak up the gravies. We did end up heating the rotis in our microwave oven for about 10-15 seconds in batches and they remained perfect in their texture and taste. The Lacchay Pyaaz--freshly sliced onions with a sprinkle of masala--added a crunchy, refreshing bite to balance the richness of the other dishes. Overall, Delhicacies delivered an out of the world authentic North Indian culinary experience with each dish tasting as though it was prepared with care and precision. The food was flavorful, perfectly spiced, and served fresh. Our guests were impressed, and we couldn't have been happier with the quality of food and service of delivery. If you're looking for reliable and delicious Indian catering, Delhicacies should be at the top of your list! Give them a chance and thank me later. You are welcome!!!

I had a delightful dining experience at Brundavan restaurant. The Apollo fish served as our starter was the star of the dinner; it was perfectly seasoned and had a fantastic crunch. For the main course, we savored the Chicken Shahi Zaffrani with garlic naan and the Chicken Potlam Biryani. Both dishes were rich in flavor and left us thoroughly satisfied. To end on a sweet note, we indulged in the Double Ka Meetha, which was a delightful dessert. What added to the charm was that the restaurant is open until 12am on weekends, allowing us to enjoy our meal at a leisurely pace. Highly recommended! read more
