I ordered the "holy chicken" breakfast sandwich with siracha mayo on the side, angry mac n cheese, and my friend ordered the green eggs and ham sandwich. The chicken?! Tender and juicy! The egg was just how I liked it (over medium) 10/10. The angry mac could have had more bacon but I loved the heat, it was definitely angry! I can't wait to go back. The customer service was AMAZING. Came on a weekend night. The food was solid, but the dining room could have been cleaner. Unclear if we'd come right after a rush, or what? It's order at the counter and then they'll bring your food. The waffles are fantastic--note there are different waffles for the sandwiches vs entrees. The entree waffle is a more typical Belgian waffle, where the sandwich waffle is a bit flatter (more like bread)--they both tasted great, just know they are different. The chicken was hot and juicy. Entrees were large and we left full. I got the regular chicken and waffles. It came with two breaded tenders that couldn't hold its skin. It was soggy and the batter was not great at all. Upon arrival, there was a small line, but there is ample seating- no wait once our order was placed. (How do I know this? It's an open kitchen, and I sat hungrily watching our sandwich and salad sit there) After awhile, our Mac and Cheese came up, but our order continued to sit a few minutes while the runners casually cleaned up tables and did other dining room tasks. Upon flagging one down to help us out (I was quite hungry, and at this point salivating watching our food sit), she went behind the counter to gather our order...seemed pretty annoyed that I'd even asked for help. Mimosa was also just ok... Cold brew was good. Kid had two bites of the Mac and Cheese and would not finish it, but she is very picky. Chicken sandwich seemed to have been enjoyed well enough by my husband. Rating kicked up from 3 to 4 due to the customer service overall- cashier was extra friendly, and folks frequented guests in the dining room to see how we were doing. Nice touch. Take it from your east coast buddy this place was amazing. From the moment we walked into the restaurant we were greeted and made to feel welcome. The young lady at the front was extremely informative and knew the menu well. After being seated the customer service was superb. The woman assisting us was so sweet I think her name was Sani. She checked on our table and made sure that everything was to our liking. The dishes we had were: The holy chicken!!! 10/10 the waffle was DELICIOUS without needing to add syrup. The loaded fries with the loaded cheese definitely hit that carb spot. Ask for a side of their ranch and pour it up. I went to Bruxie for dinner tonight. I had to try the classic chicken and waffles. The chicken was delicious, moist and tender. The breading had a slight kick to it and was a little bit too salty, but overall was pretty good. The waffle had a good flavor but came out cold. I know it's very hard to serve a hot waffle, but I felt like it could have been at least a little warm. The interior is very nice. They also have a nice outdoor seating area on Rosecrans. The employees seemed very nice. I didn't notice any issues even though they've only been open a few days, other than the cold waffle. The only thing that was kind of annoying is they have one of those cash registers that shames you into tipping. I think it's ridiculous to have these at fast food places. I will likely be back, especially if they add some healthier options. It'll be nice to have a grilled chicken sandwich. read more
