We didn't pick them, Lowe's picked them for us...for our water heater install, actually...and glad they did. Not only were they able to come out the same day, the woman who scheduled our appointment was friendly and spoke good Enligsh. I wasn't home while the work was being done, but I came home to hot water. The installer replaced all the parts that connect to the water heater with new ones, as well as installed a water pan, which we didn't have previously. Looks like quality work. I was impressed with them keeping me up to date on arrival time and plumber showed up on time, masked and wore booties. I felt he was thorough with his inspection and was nice and polite. My concern was I was given a brochure immediately as he stepped in the door inviting me to join a $10 a month membership for a 10% discount. After receiving an estimate for replacement of an old toilet and repairing a dripping shower, I chose to go in a different direction and save myself several hundred dollars. I didn't feel their prices were competitive...even with my $10 a month membership. I recommend shopping around. read more

I had a fantastic experience with BSJ Plumbing. After my disaster with using Plumbing & A/C Medic, I ended up buying a new toilet at Lowe's, another Kohler and paying for installation through Lowe's. It was about $100 for the installation. Once we were able to get a scheduled time for install, Neil from BSJ was the plumber that came out. He's a small guy, but let me tell you, he did a fantastic job. We bought our other toilet about 2-3 yrs ago from Lowe's also and paid for installation. At that time they sent out 2 HUGE guys and it took them more than an hour to install the toilet. This time, when I saw Neil, I thought, how are you going to do this all by yourself. I asked him if he was going to install the toilet and haul away the old one all by himself. He assured me he was well qualified to do this and that it was not a problem. In LESS than an hour, he had taken out the old toilet and installed the new toilet and everything was working great. He even showed me that these new Kohler toilet's lids easily slides off for cleaning. The people that installed my other toilet never showed me that. Neil was very professional, personable, courteous, efficient and he knew what he was doing. I had my doubts that this small, slender man could do it but I was totally wrong. He was well-qualified. Robert came from BSJ as a secondary option to install our hot water heater. American Home was originally slated to do it but they had an issue and had to hand it off. They did that through Lowes who managed this job and everyone did their job well as far as this is concerned. NO DELAYS!!!! Robert was just absolutely awesome! He did a kick ass job in a very tight work area and never complained one bit. I will tell you what... I have been burned by plumbers in the past, but I think I finally found my go to plumber company for my home needs. When the hot water heater went out, it's not something you can wait to 'get around to doing'. It pretty much needs attention, now. Headed to Home Depot and Lowes. Decided on the new hybrid hot water heater - because if there's anything I hate more, it's giving APS more money. The unit was sold by Lowes (GE/Rheem) and I figured using their installer would make it just as quick. WRONG. BSJ is a subcontractor for Lowes. You'd think that would mean they'd have exceptional customer service being as a major retailer is sending them business. Maybe they do, and maybe it was just a bad week for their President, but my experience was anything but good. First, they required an 'inspection visit' which costs $35. OK. Well, they couldn't do it until the next day. (Now day 3 of no hot water). Employee comes out at 6:30pm. Couldn't have been nicer. I was feeling pretty good about this. Said he'd call 'the boss' on the way home, give him the necessary info, and I should have an install estimate and appointment tomorrow. YEAH, HOT WATER AGAIN! Next day - no phone call - no message. Called my rep at Lowes. They hadn't heard anything. They called BSJ and Brad said he still didn't have it ready but would call in the afternoon. Waiting... waiting... no call. Called Lowes back at 3:30p reminding them that the BSJ tech had promised an install that day. They called BSJ back and was told they couldn't come out and that the platform my current tank was on had to be removed as well as the connection to the timer, before they could perform any work. WHAT? If I have to remove the platform, then that means the entire tank needs to be disconnected. What am I paying for? I reluctantly agreed because now we're on Day 4 of no hot water and the next day is Saturday. Lowes gave me two phone numbers for Brad so I could try and talk with him directly. The first number no one answered. The second number turned out to be his cell - OOOPS! Brad answers and I explain my situation. He says he'll call the office and see about getting someone out the next day (Saturday). I hang up thinking GREAT - they realize this has been dragging on and they're going to do the right thing and get someone out here on Saturday. Well, guess what? I'm STILL waiting for Brad to call back. (Now DAY 5 of no hot water) When I told this to my Lowes rep, they admitted that they sometimes have trouble getting callbacks and prompt scheduling from BSJ. Sounds like it's time to get a new subcontractor. There are too many plumbers in the Valley to dink around with this kind of nonsense. BTW? You can find a plumber that will not only come out on Saturday, but also do the install (including removing the old equipment) for a lot less than the almost $500 BSJ wanted. NEXT! read more

I had a problem with my Ranai Tank-less Hot Water System which had stumped previous plumbing technicians who had worked on it so I called the factory to ask for a recommended service technician. They referred me to BSJ Plumbing. My experience with BSJ was excellent from start to finish and I would recommend them to anyone in need of service on the Ranai system. It began with my initial call which was handled by a real professional who got the essential information and focused on my problem. She then scheduled me quickly and, get this, set the time when the technician would actually be there; not the usual "sometime in a 4hr span". Our serviceman, Michael, arrived at the time promised, presented his credentials, and went right to work. He was careful with our walls, floor and roof but most importantly would not give up until the problem was solved (which we really appreciated). This required extra effort in not only unmounting the unit but taking it apart piece by piece to track down the problem. What impressed me most was that he literally took ownership of my problem and stuck with it until it was fixed. Previously I had been told that the source of the problem could not be found and I would have to either adjust my use of the water heater or replace it. Michael on the other hand, showed me each component as he worked his way down to the root of the problem and let me see the repair taking place. He obviously had pride in his work and was dedicated to doing a quality job. We have had a flabbergastingly insane experience with this company. They are installers for Lowes who will not let you buy and install an oven until their outside installers measure and give an estimate. For over four weeks we have tried to get an estimate from them. I have made over 50 phone calls. FINALLY yesterday Lowes gave me an installation price, I paid for it and they said the company would call in a few days to set up a time for installation. Trying to make it happen sooner, I called them this morning.
