Saturday afternoon at Bayside. Tourist capital of Miami. 10 minute wait for 2 people which wasn't bad at all. We looked around the shop until our table was ready. They appeared to be severely under staffed. We waited forever for the waiter to greet us. Finally when he came we ordered our drinks, appetizer and meal all at the same time. That's how long it took to get service. He wasn't at our table for more than 20 seconds at a time. He was very friendly but could tell he was obviously being over worked. The shrimp were cold, the rest was luke warm. For the size of the dish, definitely not worth $19. Our total was $52 for 2 people. A water, a coke, calamari and 2 meals. I know you pay for the location and the scenery. The scenery was nice but the prices are high because they know you won't be back. However as a local, really disappointed. I'm sorry, this place should change its name to Bubba DUMP. The staff sucked. They seemed very unenthusiastic and lazy. The hostess practically dragged herself to the host stand to attend to me. I wanted to give her a push- literally. The bartender worked at a snail's pace too. It was late on a Thursday evening and the place wasn't packed at all. It took 20 minutes to get my first drink and my waiter had to make my second drink because no one was behind the bar. During my dinner I needed some things cleared off of my table so I grabbed the biggest display tray and asked the nearest employee if she can take it away. She gave me the nastiest look. As she walked away with the tray she held it up away from her and made a comment to another employee on her way to the kitchen. Not sure if she was mad I asked her to do something (else) while she was already cleaning the high-chairs OR if she felt taking a tray back to the kitchen was beneath her. Either way, the attitude was unnecessary. My table wasn't prepared properly. There was one plate in the corner (for a table of four) which led me to believe it was left there from the last party. The ketchup was empty and we didn't have enough utensils. My wine glass (they didn't have martini glasses) had THREE shades of lipstick on the rim. I never put my mouth on glasses but the thought of it made me gag a few times. Even the waiter was disgusted. I had to ask for a replacement drink... in a plastic cup. I was so turned off I almost cancelled my food order. At one point there was a slim black bug racing around the table. It was moving so fast under all of the plates it was hard to keep up with it. We couldn't find the bug at one point and that's when I decided I was completely done with my dinner. The waiter came over and saw the bug and told me the bugs come from the trees. Note: WE WERE EATING INSIDE. The food itself was okay. Nothing was out of this world but nothing tasted terrible either. My wife and I had lunch here on Saturday Feb 2 and it was without question one of the worst dinning experiences we've had in a long time. The food was mediocre at best and the service was very very poor. We were there over 1.5 hours, they forgot our drinks, we ask for extra dipping sauces and they never arrived, they brought us 4 different checks before we got the correct one and the "Run Forrest Run" and "Stop Forrest Stop" meant nothing. Wow. Walked into this place and sat at the bar. No one acknowledged is. We saw a menu sitting there, and looked. Some one saw us, smiled and said hi. We said hi back. He came over and asked what we wanted to drink. Friend ordered a corona light, I ordered a dirty martini...to this he ROLLED HIS EYES and walked away. Sat there another 10 minutes... As I sat there looking at the menu and decor, I remembered why it had been so long since our last visit. Everything about Bubba Gump screams tourist trap! From the high prices to the gimmick method of calling your server, I had stepped into Hollywood hell. We had started out wanting to eat seafood for lunch; we ended up eating fried food for lunch. Let me start off by saying the menu they have online is inaccurate. Went expecting one thing and got something else. Long story short it took 30 minutes to get seated and this is with Covid regulations which means there are barely people sitting but plenty of room and servers. After getting seated I communicated my son was hungry and needed a kids menu which they did not bring and finally brought it out 20 minutes after seating us. When they finally made their way to us the server bought out a "kids Pepsi" which I never requested and then we went ahead and ordered their "basket of garlic bread" by the time they bought out the garlic bread we placed our order and saw that the basket was a half of a baguette sliced in half with barely any garlic butter. At this point I knew I did not wish to eat there so when the GM came out with our cesar salad I informed him I wished to cancel the order and pay for the garlic bread and Pepsi and even the cesar salad since he bought it out. He went ahead to tell me that he was "not going to take that loss" and told me I would be forced to pay for the whole meal. I told him I would do no such thing and he communicated to me he would have to call security which I was ok with. I proceeded to call security myself as my son was hungry and crying and I got no answer. I confronted the GM about this and he said he would be calling the cops instead so I waited. We waited over 30 minutes with my son crying out of hunger and no one showed while I continuously tried to pay for the meal I had actually received, it is then that the GM informed he would "let us go" because he thought we had already left but that what we did was illegal. My theory is that he was going to try to file a police report hoping we left and try to get money for the whole meal but he did not expect us to stay. After reviewing all the reviews and receiving just the garlic bread I realized this place is not the least bit appealing and ended up going to the hard rock where the hospitality and food was ten times better. At no point in my life have I been mistreated this way at any restaurant. Never going back here or any bubba Gump again. I will go to any lengths to report this manager and this establishment to all the possible resources available. read more

Loved this place. My friends and I visited on 9/18/10. Our waiter Alex was great...funny, entertaining, worth more than a 20% tip. We ordered a run across america and a steamed shrimp appetizer- both were good and seasoned well. We had a couple of drinks- not very strong but good. We were celebrating 2 birthdays and got a lot of attention. We had stuffed shrimp, bucket of trash and shrimp heaven dinners- all were good and they allowed us to substitute on the shrimp dinners. My fiancee, his father and I went here during our stay in Miami, and it was such a good time. We love bubba gump in NYC so we knew we wouldn't be disappointed. Our waiter was so much fun! He did trivia with us about the movie, and he gave me a light up cup for answering correctly- MADE MY WHOLE DAY! The cajun shrimp is delicious, and the baby fried shrimp as well. I usually enjoy Bubba Gump but tonight I had a pretty pathetic experience from a customer service standpoint. I placed an order via Postmates only to receive an incomplete order. My shrimp New Orleans didn't have any rice and the sauce container was open so sauce soaked the entire box. I called Bubba Gump to make mention of this and I only received poor attitude and it was turned around on me as if it was my fault. I've never been snapped at that way in my life and I won't disclose the female manager on duties name. I plan to follow up with the general manager because it was truly a disappointing experience. I gave 2 stars not for the quality of food which is very good. The waiters are generally polite (some exceptions at the entrance). However if you are one of those following a diet to slim down or just take care of your heart, this is definitely one of the worst places to visit and out of the question if you go at night (not being able to at least walk to digest part of it). The popular dishes have 1,300 calories and up, even those that have just tilapia. When is Congress going to pass a federal law to compel these restaurants to inform people of their meal choices? I would feel nice to at least know how much fat am eating and be able to choose for myself. read more

It was tender shrimp sauteed with capers in lemon-garlic butter, over a bed of linguini. The shrimp was perfectly made and was the highlight of the dish. I'm not a big fan of capers. HOWEVER, I must admit it gave the taste of the pasta that boost it needs. Lemon-Garlic butter? INGENIOUS!!! The service was outstanding! We were greeted kindly and were treated with respect. The Run Forest Run and Stop Forest signs are great ideas. My Stop Forest sign was up and within seconds a waitress was there to help us. At the end of the night, my belly was full and I was tired... The waitress quizzed us on what we know about Forest Gump. The prices are pretty reasonable for the quality and quantity of our food. I am definitely coming back to this restaurant! read more

It was so packed when we arrived at about 8:30 on Friday. They were no longer accepting people in the waitlist. We walked around, but then decided to come back and sit at the bar. I'm glad we did. The food was really good and so were our smoothies. The service at the bar could have been better once the crowd died down, but it seemed like the bartender was so pooped after the rush that she forgot about us. Run Forrest run! To bubba gump if you like seafood! Located in the touristy location of bayside marketplace, I've had my eye on this place for a while and finally made a lunch trip over. Cute casual atmosphere with the Forrest Gump movie paraphernalia all over the place. Prices were reasonable and portions were good. I ordered the crab stuffed mushrooms as an appetizer and they were delish! Nice and hot served on a skillet. Then came my main: shrimp sampler which was more than a sample! Fried, coconut, tempura - so much of everything plus fries and sauces. This dish should be shared. Our server was very friendly and offered suggestions of her faves. The best part is if you need something or someone to your table you don't have to hunt down your server. You turn the sign on your table to 'stop Forrest stop' and any server will come right over! Then flip it back to 'run Forrest run' and no one will bother you! It makes for a nice quick lunch, and everyone is able to help you right away. read more

It's a really nice restaurant with an even better view. The staff was also very friendly, and the drinks were stiff. I've never eaten so I can't say too much, but it seems everyone around me were enjoying their meals. I generally don't comment on a business's restroom, but it's one of the best around if your stuck in a tight spot! Yummy! The strawberry lemonade is delicious. For main dish, I had Jenny's Catch with Lobster sauce. Very very tasty! A wonderful thing is that this place has the red and blue sign for you to choose to put on the table. You can have your sign there to indicate that you need the waitress to be at your table. This place particularly this location is AWESOME!!! There food is great, fresh and full of flavor. And aside from that the waiters are really nice. The shrimp are soooo good especially the Cajun shrimps! The drinks are also good. I can't remember the names of the drinks but they're really good. Nice and fruity and some are strong but it's worth it. I enjoyed my time there so much that I attempted to go again but they were closing:-( bummer. This was the worst restaurant experience I've ever had. To be fair, I have to say that I went here almost exactly a year ago, so hopefully they've gotten completely new staff. We had to wait forever to be seated because the host wasn't paying attention, no apology or even increased attentiveness after this point. He was talking to a friend about some plans he had with a girl later, most of the conversation was ... not appropriate for children to say the least. I didn't even realize he worked here, actually, and apparently he was happy with that for the time being. He acted like we were being really annoying for asking for a table. The waitress was not much better, she got our order wrong and dropped off someone else's appetizers at our table without even a word to us. I had to chase her down to tell her that it was not the correct table so someone else who ordered wasn't waiting longer. They advertise special cups for these drinks that you buy, which you can take home as a souvenir. Only after the beverage was served to us where we told that they didn't have these cups anymore, they were just regular plastic cups with their logo on it. The food was decent, so I can't complain about that really. Maybe Forrest Gump himself is hiring these servers and hosts because it wasn't a very smart decision! read more

Unfortunately I went there beginning of august and we decided to have a drink at the bar and eat some bubba gump delicious fried shrimp and more .. Our food order never arrived and after almost an hour , our drinks being empty I realize that someone has stolen my purse . I thought that inside the restaurant it was safe enough to hang it in the back of my stool....fortunately a lovely couple helped me to stop my card and shared his internet connexion as My phone didn't find any network... The manager took a while to check the camera after I suggested him to do so ... And all the staff was keeping on doing their job .... I felt lonely in my stressed situation ....
