Spacious seating, friendly service, clean bathrooms. I came in and caught up on my laptop while my family spent a while shopping at the Columbia Employee Store nearby! They play relaxing music and good background TV- it was everybody hates Chris and then local news when I came in randomly on a rainy, Monday afternoon. Unfortunately I was not hungry but I would be down to come back and try the food! It was also too late for me to have coffee but they seem to have a good coffee selection as well. I took a drink from the side fridge- they have San Pellegrinos, sodas, aloe vera drinks, Mexican sodas, etc. Overall a chill place to eat and or do work if you're in the area and in need of a peaceful space!

Found this spot on a whim and cannot wait for my next visit! Ordered their breakfast sandwich with bacon, egg, and cheese on a bagel and was in loveee with the fact they put TWO EGGS. Super hefty sandwich for such a great price. The one downside was that I feel like the bagel was not toasted and it was slightly on the drier side but it wasn't the biggest deal. I also ordered their white mocha and it was just the right amount of sweetness. My friend ordered their sisig and their thai tea and was really impressed with those two as well! She was even debating on ordered another thai tea LOL. The location was also very convenient and right by the Richmond pier so there's beautiful views nearby. Service was fast and workers were kind!

Delicious food! They have a lot of variety, and reasonable prices. It's not near a whole lot else, but it's worth stopping by. Hasn't been crowded either time I went, and is kid friendly.

I really truly wanted to love this place! It was okay. My burger was dry and needed salt. The lumpia was fantastic though. It was just around lunch time and service was right on. Lots of folks eating outside and in.

Amazing salad. I haven't been as long as I've been living in and around Richmond. Pleasantly surprised how delicious the salad was... great big portions

I was in the area and on the hunt for a great fresh, healthy salad. Babaloos gave me exactly that! Great portions and great flavor. Balsamic salad dressing was so tasty too.

I don't ever go to Richmond, but if I do, I make sure to stop here. They have a diverse menu and I would love to try everything on it! On our most recent stop, we tried the pork chops & rice (so good!) and the patty melt (bomb!). Everything was seasoned to perfection. Get the side salad with the green dressing. Very spacious, indoor & outdoor seating, never busy the times that I've been here.

Had the best breakfast burrito here. I am not even a big fan of breakfast burritos! We love to walk the waterfront after.

Drove by because in the area after going to the Columbia employee store. Has a diverse mixture of offerings. We got the lumpia, empanada, chicken teriyaki, shrimp tempura and fries, and chicken wings. Open space inside and out. Service was friendly. Food we ordered was fine. All happened to be mostly fried foods so can't go wrong in prepping that. Fries were yummy. Would like to go back for the breakfast options.

I'm the type that sits shotgun in a car on a cross-country trip and shouts out the brand names on the billboards we pass by. Old habits never die. I was walking on the concrete walkway around the Richmond Marina and saw the headline providing direction to this spot. It said "Hungry?" and I said it out loud like I was back in my dad's Rambler station wagon (photo: https://yelp.to/UAKfSrqAzf). The cafe was in an oddly out-of-the-way location since there was no retail businesses surrounding it. I mentally referred back to the sign and admitted to myself, "Yes, I am hungry. Stop judging me." I decided to order the $12.75 Cheeseburger with a slice of good ol' American cheese and a huge side of fries that I had no intention of finishing them (photo: https://yelp.to/qefQ7vsK2U). After all, the road to hell is paved with good intentions. At least that's what Madonna said when she tried to seduce a disaffected Justin Timberline. Anyway, straight from the grill, that cheeseburger managed to satisfy beyond my meager expectations, and the fries filled in jurisdictions of my stomach with No Trespassing signs. Hungry? I guess I was. FOOD - 4 stars...just a satisfying burger when I was in the mood for one AMBIANCE - 3 stars...nothing fancy in here except a big mural SERVICE - 3.5 stars...attentive enough TOTAL - 4 stars...Hungry? There are even games in the yard. A real surprise was the food. I had the avocado toast it was tasty, I would order it again. When I tasted the beef Philly I was ready to order one to go, but they had sold out. The rest of my friends had burgers, the vegetarian had fries, even the dog had a pup patty, and everyone enjoyed the food The music was almost too loud; however, because the stage is outside, it was not too uncomfortable. We heard two different bands. The loud music did make it hard to have a conversation. A word of warning that does not affect my rating: bees and yellow jackets are everywhere. There is nothing that the Backyard can do to keep these pests out of the yard.

TLDR: Small (but not crowded) restaurant with great customer service and food! Highly recommended…read more:) We came during lunch hour and there were no other customers surprisingly. We were seated immediately and the food came out quickly. The mozzarella sticks were a little small but tasty. Their pasta is much more flavorful compared to other Italian restaurants nearby. We spent a decent amount of time but didn't feel rushed at all. They checked up on us frequently and were extremely attentive: they literally rushed to their feet when they noticed we finished. Would definitely come back again to try out other dishes!

I…read morereviewed yelp to find something close that maybe we hadn't tried, and I found Mely's with the amazing rating of 4.3 stars. We've lived in Hercules for over 30 years and are creatures of habit, so it was nice to venture the 10-minute drive to San Pablo. We were not impressed by the exterior strip mall building, but the interior of Mely's is very cute, homey, and clean. (I even peeked into the kitchen since the door was open.) I wanted pancakes, but got waffles instead since W ordered the blueberry buttermilk stack. We both had a side of eggs, his scrambled and mine sunny side up. The eggs were delish; mine in particular was perfectly cooked with slightly crunchy edges, a beautiful, silky, runny yolk, and no uncooked whites. The blueberry pancakes are so good! Of course they are huge and I ate some of them in addition to my waffle. We could have split just the pancakes and been perfectly happy. They cook berries inside the homemade batter and top them with a house-made blueberry compote. Maple syrup and soft butter on the side. The waffles are crispy outside with a light, airy, center, dusted with powdered sugar and cinnamon. I had strawberries on the side (+$5 !!). Since I ate some of W's pancakes, we took half the waffles home. W had a drip coffee--no decalf available so I had the fresh-squeezed OJ. It was a large glass so I took half of that home, too. The coffee was nothing to rave about, but it was coffee. Service was friendly and efficient--there is only one cook and one server, and it seems several of us arrived at the same time on this Sunday morning. Overall a wonderful find that we will return to so we can explore more dishes. We saw omelets and Benedict's come out that looked amazing! Plus, I want to try the dinner menu, which also looked pretty amazing.
