Stopped by right when they opened on a Saturday morning and there was already a line! They're definitely a favorite in the area and I can see why. The store was very clean and lively. We ordered the North Beach on a Pizza Bagel & Yosemite on a Spinach Cheddar Bagel and waited about 15mins for our order to be ready. It's a bit of a wait but not horrible. The Yosemite was hot, steamy, and deliciously soft. It had nice, light flavors which was great for breakfast. The North Beach was loaded with so many yummy ingredients and had a great spicy brown mustard which stood out. I thought both were great tasting, but even though they were both toasted the North Beach bagel wasn't as warm/fresh tasting as the Yosemite. I already found myself craving these bagels the next day, so I will definitely be back for more, and will definitely be trying out their day old bagels to take home and freeze :) Tip - check the name written on the receipt given to you. They had gotten our name wrong as well as the person before us, and we wouldn't have picked up our order properly unless we checked. The other person who's name was wrong had their bagel sitting out for 5mins before they realized!

Adorable bagel shop in Grass Valley. My co-worker recommended it to me. The place was adorable! Bagels laid out in rows. They could be made into sandwiches. We chose to get a dozen with a few of their spreads. Service was amazing the people were so welcoming and kind. We drove all the way from Sacramento and were not disappointed.

I always have this as a pit spot when I come to Grass Valley, the bagels are to scrumptious to pass up. Sooooo many bagels to choose from it's hard to pick just one. Place is always busy with a line, but it doesn't take too long to get your order. People are friendly. New location is bright and full of light. There are a few places to sit inside and a few places outside .

the food is good but the way is constructed is a major issue that could be solved with a simple toothpick, i can't even pick up my sandwich without all the ingredients going in different directions. all things considered the food is not worth the wait and price if all fall apart no? and they forgot my cream cheese with i would think should have been a priority for a bagel shop but what do know. - their also was a little avocado on one of the bagels that didn't describe avocado, my significant other is allergic to avocado so that was pretty scary . also the people who on shift were extremely inexperienced it took 30 minutes for 3 UNCUT BAGLES the experience from the old bubbas to the new is a completely different environment the management needs to be looked at if this is how it is every afternoon. completely unacceptable would NOT recommend

I wish i could give them more stars but i did not have a good experience this morning. They are located off the freeway (off Brunswick) in Grass Valley and across the street from McDonalds. I know they can get really busy and i was prepared for it. I ordered at 828 am and did not get my bagel until 9am. I otdered a toasted everything bagel with cream cheese. What i got was a cold untoasted bagel for 5.47. Not even heated up! You can see on the receipt what i ordered. It was doughy and not edible. They are very slow making the bagels. Best bet is to get there before 7am. Smartest way is to order ahead for pickup when you have a nice size order. They do have 40 percent off on day old bagels They also offer sodas and coffee drinks. Honestly i would have been better off going across the street to the big grocery store where they have a selection of bagels and cteam cheese for a third of the price and in out in 5 minutes! They do have an assortment of bagel sandwiches to choose from at Bubbas that look really good. I will not be back. There is parking outside of Bubbas Bagels.

Visited the new location! Everything was very clean, staff was friendly as always. The new building and surrounding area is beautiful. Food was amazing just like usual!

Whenever we are here visiting, we come here! You really can't go wrong with anything but our fave bagels are the pizza and jalepeno cheddar. Our favorite cream cheese is vanilla and garlic. For sandwiches we like the bear and Tahoe! It is small and always busy so be patient or order ahead. They do sell out pretty quick!!

My lady's sister just bought a house in Grass Valley and recommended this place. I'm from the SF Bay and have had many, many bagels from lots of mom n pops places. Bubba's is in a class of their own. Put it this way- this place is literally in the middle of about 4 fast food chains and next door to a taco shop. The line to get into this place is out the door..for a reason. Best damn bagels on the planet!! The ONLY reason I gave it a four star (I hope the owner sees this soon) is that the young guy back there making my sandwich literally had his hair/bangs just down and soooo close to the food just swinging side to side. That really bothered me. The place is clean, food is amazing but the staff needs to keep their hair away from the food. Look at this bad boy of a bagel sandwich! read more

I went to get a bagel sandwich and I specifically ordered without sprouts as I have an issue with diverticulitis. It comes and I can see sprouts on the container. I let the girl know that I ordered it with no sprouts and she says, and I quote," it's just a little bit of sprouts". When the girl at the register, who was very polite and was trying to help, said they could make it again I asked that the original girl not make it. Her team mate, which I found was her sister, rolled her eyes and said " you don't have to yell at my sister ". I wasn't yelling at all but I could have. Started in the food industry, worked for my family owned business for twenty years and now work in HR for a county. This is NOT customer service. Been going to them for quite a while but don't know if I'll go back if this is going to be how a customer is treated. read more

Always fresh and so delicious!!! If you get there early, sometimes they are still warm from the oven. Mmmm! Great variety of breakfast and lunch bagel sandwiches. This is THE spot for breakfast. Look no further, I genuinely go here every day. Love their fresh bagels. The Yosemite is my favorite, but they do not skimp on the lox or other ingredients for other breakfast sandwiches. Just moved to Grass Valley about two months ago and found this awesome begal shop for lunch. Since that point I have been visiting them regularly for breakfast or lunch and for a west coast begal shop they are the best I have had in years. The filling in my breakfast bagel was 5/5. The bagels made in house are just plain with no proper bath to actually give them the exterior we tend to dine in any other store or store that are known for their bagels. I was surprised to see this was a highly rated location given the time it took to receive our bagel sandwiches. I truly would have rather have been sold any store bought bagel. read more

I work in Grass Valley and sometimes at the beginning of the week I stop by Bubba's Bagels to pick up a mixed bag of bagels and cream cheese to eat for breakfast throughout the week. I think a lot of reviewers on Yelp tend to be pretty liberal with their 5 star ratings but I honestly can't find one thing to complain about this place. Their bagel selection is very good. Their dfferent cream cheseses are very good as well. Day old bagels are 50% off and taste just as good. I grab a sandwich to go for lunch on occasion as well. The ingredients on their sandwiches all taste very fresh and the deli cuts are tasty. Although they are all good, some of my favorite bagels that everyone should try are: The Bulldog - Has onion, garlic, sesame, poppy, the works. Where do I start? This place is just so amazing! Reasonable pricing, GREAT food and overall fantastic customer service! I got the Yosemite, and my wife, had the inner child and ordered a pizza bagel. A bagel, with a pizza mix? How great is that! Proof that this place is for adults, and children! Yosemite: Never thought I would have the best bagel, until I ate this. The flavor combo is so amazing, and works so well! The sprouts were an interesting mix, but it worked so well with the bagel. Eggs cooked to perfection, and I ordered with ham, which I wasn't disappointed at all. Pizza Bagel: I'm not the one to eat weird things, but this bagel was so good! I never thought a pizza bagel would go so well with cream cheese! My wife loved it, and definitely will be getting this again. We got some in the morning, when they opened, and they were fresh and warm! So relief that these are homemade, and not store bought. 10/5 Would definitely be coming back again! read more

Found this gem on Yelp & had to try it! It didn't disappoint one bit. My husband had the bacon, egg & cheese breakfast sandwich on the five cheese bagel, plus the pizza bagel toasted with cream cheese. I had the cinnamon & sugar bagel toasted with cream cheese. I also had delicious hot white mocha. They serve the best brand, Peerless coffee & tea! Highly recommend this establishment & we will absolutely be back when we are in town. read more

TLDR: bagels are bomb, cheddar bagel with jalapeño cream cheese is where it's at. My love for Bubba's started back in High School when we use to make Bubba's runs for lunch and for one of my classes when I was a TA. The bagels are the best I've ever found -- even better than the ones I tried in NYC! My mom even got me some bubba's bagels to bring with me when I moved out there for a bit. I always get a Cheddar bagel (they also have a Cheddar Jalapeño one) with jalapeño cream cheese and it is the best ever. I've been getting it since High School. So when I'm home visiting and can make it happen, we'll usually swing by to get some bagels. For the holidays, my parents will even pick some up with some of their cream cheese for Christmas morning. This is one GV spot that is a must-try! read more

Stopped her on our way home from Reno. The staff were very kind, the sandwich was Good, a little too much mustard for my tase, but still good. The biggest bummer was that they did not have any indoor seating, and no where to sit outside to enjoy the sammies. May give them another try when its not too hot to sit in our car to eat them. read more

Bagels are not that good. Also was waved on in a condescending way while having a conversation with an employee about my exemption from wearing a mask in their business. Very unprofessional. I'd prefer bagels from the Flower Garden anyway. read more

I've been going to Bubba's almost every single day for 4 years and not once have I been let down. My favorite is the Bear on a jualapino cheddar bagel & my son loves the cinnadough with regular chream cheese & bacon (lol) The girls are always cute and they're all hard workers! Over 1,000 bagels and never disappointed! 100%!!! read more

While visiting Grass Valley yesterday, I had a sesame bagel at a local coffee shop. Being a former East Coast resident, I seldom come across a sensational-tasting bagels that meet my demanding palate since I moved to California, However, this time, I hit gold! I found out the bagel came from Bubba's Bagels, so I drove over to Bubba's with my friend to buy a dozen bagels to bring back home. We had the pleasure of being served by Kannitha, the owner. Such a friendly and sweet lady! She patiently waited while we searched through all their flavors and ordered several varieties (including sesame, of course) and thoughtfully answered my questions about the history of Bubba's since she took ownership of the store eight years ago. I can see why there are numerous great reviews for Bubba's. Not only are the bagels so delicious, but Kannitha and her staff are genuinely pleasant and friendly to their customers. While I'm not from the Grass Valley area, I wanted to let the locals who haven't visited Bubba's to get over there and try their bagels. As for me, I'll definitely drop in whenever I'm in the area! read more

She pointed out and discussed our choices. We got bagels with hummus and a BIG bowl of black bean chili. The chili tasted noticeably made by the bakery. The beans didn't seem canned, because they had a nice bite and texture. The chili tastes like something I'd make at home...cause we're vegan of course we make a lot of black bean chili. The bagels really hit the spot to fill out our meal. They had lots of tables inside and out to sit at. It's a bus your own table situation, so we did need to wipe down our table. All and all very pleased will keep this as future option when we need food.

Was greeted immediately upon entering and was helped with my order--a 16oz mocha--right away. It gave me a minute to look at the food and other pastries available. Everything looked fresh and homemade. Take note that there were a lot of gluten free options here which is wonderful news for anyone having to watch their diet. My coffee was warm and not chalky like some mochas can be. I wish I could have stayed and sat for a spell, but I had to get on the road. Looking forward to making time for breakfast next time I am up in the area.

It's been a bit difficult to find somewhere in Grass Valley that's consistently good. I just ate my 5th or 6th bagel sandwich at Bubba's Bagels and as usual; it was EXCELLENT! :-) The staff is nice, the food is fresh, the prices are great and you even get a 12oz soda or coffee with any bagel sandwich. This little place is busy for a reason. It's now mine and my wife's favorite place to get a bite to eat when we're in town. Great job guys! :-) read more

Tried this place for the first time yesterday & it was well worth it. Being from New York it's been really hard to find a shop that sold that homemade style bacon egg and cheese on a bagel, but this place nailed it. Just wish the bagels were a bit bigger. It's been almost a year since we've been to Bubba's and so freeing. Forget the bagels---I've easily given them up because the service by the owner was so nasty. As a business owner myself, I place customer service at the top. No food is worth that abusive behavior we experienced and I've see them dish it out to others. read more

Bagels like no other!!! I great up in GV but have since moved away. I have tried to come up with ways to get them here before they go bad and without it costing an arm and a leg. No such luck! They need to expand and sell nationwide, I certainly would help spread the word everywhere I went! read more

Bubba's Bagels is a must try!! I always recommend it as a breakfast option to those who are from out of town. They have killer jalapeño cheddar bagels and the wide variety of cream cheese is just as fantastic. I always get either a bacon breakfast sandwich or the Tahoe!! Highly recommend!!! read more
