Stopped by right when they opened on a Saturday morning and there was already a line! They're definitely a favorite in the area and I can see why. The store was very clean and lively. We ordered the North Beach on a Pizza Bagel & Yosemite on a Spinach Cheddar Bagel and waited about 15mins for our order to be ready. It's a bit of a wait but not horrible. The Yosemite was hot, steamy, and deliciously soft. It had nice, light flavors which was great for breakfast. The North Beach was loaded with so many yummy ingredients and had a great spicy brown mustard which stood out. I thought both were great tasting, but even though they were both toasted the North Beach bagel wasn't as warm/fresh tasting as the Yosemite. I already found myself craving these bagels the next day, so I will definitely be back for more, and will definitely be trying out their day old bagels to take home and freeze :) Tip - check the name written on the receipt given to you. They had gotten our name wrong as well as the person before us, and we wouldn't have picked up our order properly unless we checked. The other person who's name was wrong had their bagel sitting out for 5mins before they realized!

Adorable bagel shop in Grass Valley. My co-worker recommended it to me. The place was adorable! Bagels laid out in rows. They could be made into sandwiches. We chose to get a dozen with a few of their spreads. Service was amazing the people were so welcoming and kind. We drove all the way from Sacramento and were not disappointed.

I always have this as a pit spot when I come to Grass Valley, the bagels are to scrumptious to pass up. Sooooo many bagels to choose from it's hard to pick just one. Place is always busy with a line, but it doesn't take too long to get your order. People are friendly. New location is bright and full of light. There are a few places to sit inside and a few places outside .

the food is good but the way is constructed is a major issue that could be solved with a simple toothpick, i can't even pick up my sandwich without all the ingredients going in different directions. all things considered the food is not worth the wait and price if all fall apart no? and they forgot my cream cheese with i would think should have been a priority for a bagel shop but what do know. - their also was a little avocado on one of the bagels that didn't describe avocado, my significant other is allergic to avocado so that was pretty scary . also the people who on shift were extremely inexperienced it took 30 minutes for 3 UNCUT BAGLES the experience from the old bubbas to the new is a completely different environment the management needs to be looked at if this is how it is every afternoon. completely unacceptable would NOT recommend

I wish i could give them more stars but i did not have a good experience this morning. They are located off the freeway (off Brunswick) in Grass Valley and across the street from McDonalds. I know they can get really busy and i was prepared for it. I ordered at 828 am and did not get my bagel until 9am. I otdered a toasted everything bagel with cream cheese. What i got was a cold untoasted bagel for 5.47. Not even heated up! You can see on the receipt what i ordered. It was doughy and not edible. They are very slow making the bagels. Best bet is to get there before 7am. Smartest way is to order ahead for pickup when you have a nice size order. They do have 40 percent off on day old bagels They also offer sodas and coffee drinks. Honestly i would have been better off going across the street to the big grocery store where they have a selection of bagels and cteam cheese for a third of the price and in out in 5 minutes! They do have an assortment of bagel sandwiches to choose from at Bubbas that look really good. I will not be back. There is parking outside of Bubbas Bagels.

Visited the new location! Everything was very clean, staff was friendly as always. The new building and surrounding area is beautiful. Food was amazing just like usual!

Whenever we are here visiting, we come here! You really can't go wrong with anything but our fave bagels are the pizza and jalepeno cheddar. Our favorite cream cheese is vanilla and garlic. For sandwiches we like the bear and Tahoe! It is small and always busy so be patient or order ahead. They do sell out pretty quick!!

OMG LOVE LOVE LOVE THESE BAGELS! You won't find another place around here that makes better. I get the everything bagel (bull dog) with Lox cream cheese toasted. Yum. I used to go there for lunch when I was in high school. They also have bagel sandwiches which I heard are really good. Try the cinnamon bagel if you have sweeter tastes, with cream cheese. They have LOTS of combinations and flavors for your bagel tastes! I love to experiment. YUM! read more

Oh God! This place has the best bagels in the world. Well maybe not in the world, but they are definitely the best that I have ever had. I love bagels first, and I love cream cheese second! If you throw some lox on there it makes it even better. This little shop has all of the different types of bagels, plus different types of smears, plus sandwiches (for breakfast and lunch), plus smoothies. Oh man, they have a lot to offer. Every time I go in I can't help trying something new, even though I am a bagel purest. Last time I was there I has a Parmasean cheese bagel with sundried tomatoe smear. Oh I am so bad! read more

I always come here at least once when I visit. The bagels sandwhiches are so good! The tuna sandwhich (I think its called the Sierra) is my favorite because they put sprouts on it, got me addicted! And the orange freeze is great, tastes like an orange julius but a little more tangy. My boyfriend is obsessed with the cinnamon sugar bagels and makes me bring them home to him! read more

Breakfast bagles were really good . I got a simple egg, cheese, and bacon bagel sandwich was was well pleased. Bagel's tasted fresh, the cheese was real, not some processed stuff. This is supposedly the spot in Grass Valley, and man were they busy on a early Saturday Morning. Next time I'm in the area I will pay another visit. read more

I had The Bear (BLT with chive cream cheese) and really enjoyed it. Drinks included with sandwiches! Bagels are BIG and they have a few different types of cream cheese. Went with some friends and their kids loved the cinnamon bagels. This place WILL sell out of bagels so get there early on the weekends (a sign the place is good... but they should definitely think of making a bit more during busy days). BOTTOM LINE... I will be back again whenever I'm around the place. read more

Yum! We love the bagels and smears.....Sandwiches are good too...Yes the eggs are microwaved and the bacon is precooked. If that's a problem there are plenty of other options. I normally don't like anything microwaved but my husband and I always enjoy the breakfast sandwiches. The owners are very nice and attentive. read more

Awesome sandwiches! Been here twice and both times was way good. Get the tahoe on cheddar and jalepeno bagel!! Mmmmmm. Or my favorite is the red pepper bagel. My only complaint is they run out of the bagels I like most a lot of the time I go eat there, so get there early! read more

This place deserves 5 stars! Always polite staff, freshly (to die for) bagels and some rockiin' smear. After a long swim at the South Yuba, I treat myself to their Tahoe in a Jalapeño bagel. Wondering what that is? Or my favorite (always sales out) the blueberry bagel with butter or apple cinnamon smear. You got to stop by and give this a try. No disappointment. Yes the space is cramped but who cares!!! You're there for the food. read more

Nice big plump bagels, all sorts of different flavors. Each time I stop by in Grass Valley, I have to stop by Bubba's for the Banana Nut Bagel. I've never eaten there for lunch, but the sandwiches also look good. read more

I used to love Bubba's Bagels. In the last 2 weeks we had bought a pk of Everything bagels.. Within 2 days it was full of mold but we had 3 days left for the expiratin date on the package. We only got to eat 1 from the package. So to avoid a hassle we just threw them away and went to get another package. But we bought 2 pks of different kinds. This time we looked for a longer expiration date, guess what we opened them an MOLD again. THIS time I took them back to the store and replaced them with another brand but in the meantime my fiance had opened his pk of Bubba's Bagels ....MOLD.. Both of those molded which now makes 3. I will never buy this brand again Thomas Bagels will now be my choice for life. read more

I use to love Bubba's bagels. Owners are really nice. The guys in the back are really nice. But the girls are very rude and disrespectful. Will never go back unless they got new girls. Definitely need to clean up and find some girls who are more respectful. Disappointed. read more

I hadn't been back to Bubba's for a few years until last week. I always loved their multi grain bagels. I bought a dozen and noticed when I was carrying them out how light the bags were. Well if you like light as a feather bagels with no heft then these are for you. Was there a change in ownership? They used to be good, although not N.Y. style. Having grown up in New York, I love a bagel with some weight and chew....boiled then baked with a nice crust. Still looking for a good, honest New York style bagel in the Auburn area. read more

I am very dissatisfied with their service. I had went in and ordered a bagel with cream cheese, the owner made the bagel with hardly any cream cheese that cost an extra $1.30 after saying that they used more than buying the small container separately. The bagel was not even covered completely with the cream cheese, only half of the bagel had a slight smear. I asked for my money back, the owner took the bagel and refused giving my money back and told me I had to take it up with my bank. I know this seems like a little amount and it is, but treating customers this way should not be tolerated. Plus I know they stole the recipe from Valentinas, formally known as Hollywood sweets. read more

Meh.... its ok, they microwave their eggs and Bacon. Definitely a negative with me... but if they had a commercial kitchen they would be 10 dollars a bagels rather than 8.. its good for GV.. most business comes from the local high school students. read more

This is the place to go for bagels. Fresh and OH SO GOOD. They even offer low fat cream cheese that doesnt taste low fat at all. Small shop so if you plan on eating there don't be surprised if every table is taken. There are only about 3 small tables and a few bench seats. There is one table outside and it is always occupied by those regular old men customers that have this place down as an everyday hang out. read more

My husband ordered a ham and bacon croissant and I ordered the dark chocolate raspberry scone. Both were made to perfection! The historic building is super cool too! Brick walls, tall ceilings, and such. They have board games and toddler toys, books and sidewalk chalk for customers' delight. What a wonderful stop! Thank you, Wrecking Crew!

The WORST service I've ever had…read more Wasn't even acknowledged for a full minute upon entering. There was one car in the drive thru and no one else inside. When I was greeted, staff said "do you know what you want?" ... Yes I do. So I ordered and paid. My order is ready. Staff member just stared at me. I said thank you! As I was walking out, staff said UM YOU'RE WELCOME? Not coming back. What the heck was that?

Welcoming vibe from the staff. Like stepping into someone's kitchen dining room. Simple interior. I do not always get these vibes as a POC, especially in the less urban areas. Anyways, the case had pies, cookies, muffins, pastries, donuts, turnovers, macaroons, hot baked croissants, bagels, and whole breads. Ooohhh so much. All like so cute and yummy. I bought some cookies... peanut butter, chocolate chip, raspberry pillow, and death by chocolate. They were $1.25 each. Darn good pricing for the size. Anyways, they were all soft and yummy except the death by chocolate. That one was a tad past its prime, dry and stale. My fave was the raspberry pillow, it had a swirl of raspberry jam baked in. It's been a bit difficult to find somewhere in Grass Valley that's consistently good. I just ate my 5th or 6th bagel sandwich at Bubba's Bagels and as usual; it was EXCELLENT! :-) The staff is nice, the food is fresh, the prices are great and you even get a 12oz soda or coffee with any bagel sandwich. This little place is busy for a reason. It's now mine and my wife's favorite place to get a bite to eat when we're in town. Great job guys! :-) read more

A true Grass Valley landmark! Every type of bagel is large, delicious, and fresh. A vibrant crew of friendly young beauties take your order, and efficiently prepare your food. Try "The Bear" on a sesame bagel! This is the shops most popular sandwich, a BLT "Bubba's Style"...so yummy! The Pizza bagels are legendary as are The Bulldogs. Enjoy!!! read more

Tried this place for the first time yesterday & it was well worth it. Being from New York it's been really hard to find a shop that sold that homemade style bacon egg and cheese on a bagel, but this place nailed it. Just wish the bagels were a bit bigger. But the staff is friendly and the food is great. Will definitely be back. read more

It's been almost a year since we've been to Bubba's and so freeing. Forget the bagels---I've easily given them up because the service by the owner was so nasty. As a business owner myself, I place customer service at the top. No food is worth that abusive behavior we experienced and I've see them dish it out to others. read more

This bagel place is the bomb! Best bagel place in the grass valley area! I allways love to come here when i can. The place is a little small and allwsys busy but still have great service, allso what i like is that their bagels are a little chewy and the chewyness makes the bagels even bettet than a normal bagel. read more

Bagels like no other!!! I great up in GV but have since moved away. I have tried to come up with ways to get them here before they go bad and without it costing an arm and a leg. No such luck! They need to expand and sell nationwide, I certainly would help spread the word everywhere I went! read more

Bubba's Bagels is a must try!! I always recommend it as a breakfast option to those who are from out of town. They have killer jalapeño cheddar bagels and the wide variety of cream cheese is just as fantastic. I always get either a bacon breakfast sandwich or the Tahoe!! Highly recommend!!! read more
